Title: KotyXHikaru.. Gone country.

"I'm still a guy" by Brad Paisley.

Koty's Still A Guy
A Shattered Planes Fanfic.

When you see a deer, you see Bambi.

“Aw! How cute!” came the abnormal exclamation of the pink-haired goth sage Hikaru, unknowingly not alone in what was nothing short of an average home, decorated with wallpaper, furnished with couches and loveseats and chairs, and loaded with appliances not normal in a sages' home, such as refrigerators and toasters.

And I see antlers up on the wall.

Koty walked into the bedroom of the Earth house to see Hikaru, who he had left sleeping moments ago as he ventured off to find lunch, watching a dear. The hunting channel was on the television, just as Koty had left it. It fascinated him to see the human race hunting wildlife with such primitive technology as their guns. He himself had set out hunting quite a few times. He always ended up getting impatient and blowing up the forests.

“Cute?” Koty asked, grinning.
“Er, I mean.. cool. How cool!” Hikaru explained herself to her lover, not wanting to be seen as soft.
“Right,” Koty noted, laughing..

And blood spurt across the screen as the dear was shot, resulting in a jump and a muffled gasp from Hikaru. Koty couldn't help but indulge in laughter, earning him a pillow thrown at his face.

When you see a lake you think picnics

Koty found a place on the King-sized bed, next to Hikaru. He had to admit that when Hikaru first suggested that they go to Earth of all places to get away from everything going on, he had cringed. Last time he had checked, Earth was a nuclear wasteland. Following the crusade of the Russian people and the attempted Anrufe takeover of the mortal planet, there had been hardly any survivors. However; Koty had to admit, The Archive had done a good job of restoring the planet to normal, and Abel was more than happy to allow Koty and Hikaru to take a trip to Earth to relax for a week or two.

They were at a nice place right on the Great Salt Lake. The communities, typically, built these days along the river were the home of the rich. Former political leaders, millionaire software designers, and mercenary leaders all of which had survived the holocaust. Now, they could live in peace. No politics, no economy; Just what was left.

There was ambitious people out there in search of restoring economy. The problem with this ideal was simple; There was no government to monitor the use of money. Free trade had served as the basis for transactions in the past months, but there was something about paper money that made humans go wild. It was instinct, the greed was inevitable. In this way, even a nuclear holocaust could not kill the idea of money.

Because of this, several of the upper-class survivors had used their wages and paper money to their advantage. Spectators who believe superpowers such as America and Russia would rise again sold their possessions for paper money from the upper-class so that upon revival of government, they would be among the upper-class as well. There was one problem with this idea.. New governments were not arising, nor were the old governments. The only government was The Archive, ever silent but ever present.

This was all the better for Hikaru and Koty. They were friends of Abel. Because of this, they were automatically given new identities on the planet Earth as millionaires. They were welcome to vacation to the planet on occasion. It was paradise, right on the water, and Hikaru and Koty enjoyed to simply sit on the shore and enjoy the feel of the water while cuddling together.

And...

And I see a large mouth up under that log.

Fishing.

If there was one thing that Koty enjoyed more than hunting, it was definitely fishing. Where-as in hunting he got tired of waiting and blew up forests, he found fishing relaxing. He'd just recline in his boat, fishing all day. One day, he came home with thirty fish, all stuffed inside a pocket dimension. Hikaru, of course, had to clean the fish. (When Legion caught on to Koty's magic use, though, he put a stop to it, so Koty was forced to keep the fish he caught in a bucket.)

You're probably thinking that you're going to change me, and in someways, well, maybe you might.

Koty really didn't know how to explain it, though. Before he met Hikaru, he never would have gone to the planet Earth of all places to relax. The thought of being away from magic was absurd. Being away from the action? He was not accustom to it; Even in Nox, he had occasional company and even sometimes people who lived under his realm.

Koty was finding that there were all kinds of things which had changed with Hikaru in his life. He loved to go fishing. He loved to blow up empty forests full of wildlife. He loved long walks on the beach, sunflower seeds, and popsicles too. For Koty, a whole world of possibilities had opened up to him which no longer seemed like 'trivial mortal affairs'.

Scrub me down.

Hikaru looked up from the sight of old reruns from pre-holocaust times to the sight of Koty glaring back down at her with a big, goofy smile on his face. It was typical of Koty. He was always doing something goofy or had a funny expression on his face. She knew that he was more than a man. He was her god..

One who really needed to shave, at that.

“Koty! I don't want to feel hair when we're kissing!”

“Alright, alright,” Koty caved in.

His hand lit up with a green aura. It was Hammer Palm, a typical sage spell which was a sage's personal razor, potentially. However; before he could even cut off one hair, the magic fizzled out. Oh, darn, that was right. The Archive had several different kinds of technology around the house now to prevent Koty and Hikaru from using magic.

“Time to destroy those mach-”

“Koty, forget it. We can just take a dip in the ocean.”

“I don't see what a dip in the ocean has to do with anything,” Koty responded.

“A dip in the ocean,” Hikaru resounded, “As in.. A bath.”

“Fine, I'll get my bathing suit.”

“Forget it.”

Koty finally caught on.

Dress me up.

Later that night, Koty and Hikaru came back to their beach house cold. Shivering, at that. The lake was cold. Now, they were together, and it was time to get dressed for a local party on the lake they'd been invited to, despite Koty's protests. It was a formal.

After a quick shower, Koty stood in front of the bathroom mirror as he began to get dressed. Another thing he never did before meeting Hikaru? Dress up. He hadn't known the meaning of the word 'formal'. Hikaru, on the other hand, was quite experienced with formal parties, being a former leader of an entire kingdom and all.

“Okay, breathe, Koty, this is easy,” Koty told himself as he threw on a white T-shirt and boxers. “I can do this. I survived Erebus, a dinner party is nothing.”

It was all fine until Koty got to the cummerbund.

Once Koty was all dressed, he walked out into a hallway and made his way towards the bedroom. He stopped outside the door and listened inside.. It sounded like Hikaru was.. Getting dressed? Maybe. He retired to a better view by getting access to the bedroom window after climbing onto the roof.

And suddenly, a gust of wind later, Koty found himself on the ground with an aching back and a few broken bones. Hikaru, hearing his fall, had opened her window to see what would happen. The sight of Koty on the ground resulted in a yelp. She rushed out of the bedroom, down the stairs of the house, to the front door, and around to where he was lying. She helped him in doors to the couch and began to make a call to cancel their dinner plans.

“Why were you on the roof, anyway, Koty?”

Koty didn't respond for a long while.

“And why were you outside my window?”

Dead silence.
And then, she slapped Koty.

“Hey, remember.. I'm still a guy.”

“You're more than a guy,” Hikaru said, smiling as she cuddled next to a broken Koty, “You're my guy.. No. You're my god.”
