As soon as they arrived on the Outerverse, Hikaru put up a displacement field inside of a shield inside of another displacement field, inside of another shield, which was in a larger displacement field that was shrouded by the same mist she had used in the tournament to block the sense of magic signatures, The Shroud of Tartarus. Once THAT was done, she finally turned to the 'guests.'
"Alright then," She said, seeming to be in a more 'cheery,' (if that was possible,) mood now that they were off Aralia. "To get to the point. The Anrufe want you dead. They have something I want, to get it, they said to kill you. But I despise them just as much as I want what they have."
-
Tepper- Would you kindly get to the point
-
Hiro, Sara, and Flora all got out of the portal. "Yeah...What IS the point? Everyone hates the Anrufe..."
-
"The point?" Hikaru asked. "Oh, you're going to die. But first, kindly explain to me, WHY they want to kill you. It will make this all the much easier."
-
Tepper-Ah shit...
-
"Not die-die, just die." Hikaru added. "Just answer me that, and I will further explain."
-
Tepper- They Want me to Hand over the South Belkan Munitions Factory...the Company you know as Grunder Industries Limited
-
"And what is that exactly?" Hikaru inquired. She didn't know he was talking about, nor did she really care. But the more information the better.
-
Tepper- Its the Largest Military Technology Company in the dimention
-
"Something about the ability to manufacture tech, even if they dont want tech. Or something. I didn't really get it." Hiro said, trying(and probably failing) at being helpful.
-
"Oh joy." Hikaru muttered. "More technology. If I killed you, a large portion of that disgusting junk would be gone for good.....But that would make them too happy." Sighing, she grumbled at her own stubbornness on the issue. "Very well then. You will die. But you won't really. The Anrufe will think you're dead, but it will be a facade. Just do what I say. As for your company......I suggest you lay low for a while, then go blackmarket."
-
Tepper- Well i suppose that will work
-
"Excellent. There's just one thing I need from you first......" She grinned. "Your soul. Oh don't worry, you'll get it back, I just need to borrow it to make this as convincing as possible."
-
Tepper- Well your in luck...i still have one
He thinks back to when he almost sold it to the devil
-
"Uhhh...Doesn't he kinda...Uh...Need that?"
-
Hikaru looked at Hiro like he was stupid. "The soul is magic, the spirit is his life. In order to fake his dead, I'm going tp use an Artificial soul and duplicate his magic signature over to it. Then separate his spirit from his body, put his body for safe keeping. And....you're his body guards, correct? One of you will have to play the part of his dead body. It doesn't matter if they try to stab you, that's your job, to protect him."
-
Tepper- Actually their my hit squad basically
-
"...So in a sense...Masamune would be my soul, as its what gives me magic? And yeah...We're protecting him because we have a contract to kill someone, and we'd like him to be alive by the time we're done, mostly..."
-
"I see...." Hikaru glanced back to Tepper. "Well, we'll get to the body part when it comes to that. For now, GIVE ME YOUR SOUL!"
-
Tepper- im getting to it...i cant remember that damn soul release spell though
he cast it and traps it in a magicaly altered bottle and hands it to Hikaru
-
Hikaru nearly did a literal facepalm. Taking the bottle she gave it a very skeptical look. God damn! That was a small soul. But nevertheless, she took it anyways. Reaching into her cloak, she pulled out another such vial, with what looked like capsules. Dumping one into her hand, she popped the cap off the bottle with Tepper's soul and held it in her other hand. Holding her hand, and thus the two souls together. She began to focus on Tepper's, forming a sort of 'image,' of of his magic and magic signature into the capsule, sort of like a backup of a computers harddrive image.
Instantly, the capsule began to grow and shape its self into a complete duplicate of Tepper's soul. Storing the real soul, along with the bottle of capsules back into her cloak, she placed the false soul into the bottle the original was in. "Now then, for the body....I need your blood, and a hair. And make it fast!" She ordered.
-
Tepper pulls out a hair
Tepper- And now for the hard part
he cuts his hand and puts some blood in a small vial
-
"Hmpth... hard you say?" Hikaru questioned as she took the bottle and hair, setting it alongside the bottle with the soul. "You're lucky you don't use ritual magic. You'd be doing that a lot more often, than now." Then as she snapped her fingers, a scroll and feather pen appeared near Tepper. "One last thing, then. Before we set this plan into motion, I'm going to need you to write your will and last goodbyes, naming your bodyguard there as your heir to everything. Since if you die, your company will go out. He needs to stand in for you until you can re-take it."
-
Tepper- well never though i'd be writing this
He Writes "I write this Will of my belongings in the chance i were to leave this life and pass on to another realm. I will My worldly Posessions including 750 Billion Stocks of Grunder Industies valued at 168 Trillion Credits as well as my Account valued at 75 Trillion to Hiro the Mercenary as well as the title of CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Signed- Lt Commander Mark Tepper"
-
"Me? Well, I hope I can do with properly..."Hiro said, a little surprised. "When you come back, I'll be sure to give you your stocks back. CEO's a nice position and all, but Im a merc." Hiro says, with a slight grin. "So, how is this gonna be done?"
-
Tepper- Well buddy...you just hit the jackpot. after im "Dead" go to sudentor and retake it back...talk to an AI Named Rage he will tell you what to do...Rage is a clone of my mind fit into an AI Stucture. he will make decisions like i do
-
Snatching the will out of Tepper's hand the minute he stopped writing, Hikaru stood up, leaving the vials on the ground. "You and I will go back to Aralia and present to whoever's in charge his death, and blame it on whoever possible. With the will, you'll gain it, and nothing can be done in that regards. However, Mr.Tepper here will have to stay here....."
Giving him a glance, she added. "And I don't suggest you leave that spot, when we do leave. If you do, the Anrufe and anyone else will be able to sense your magic signature and life, then the game is up....and being out of the Displacement and other protections, you'd be free game if they wanted to kill you for real."
Holding her hand out, she materialized another portal. "So if you want to die, be my guest, leave. But if you want to live, don't move an inch. When we've returned, we'll proceed with your 'death.'"
-
Tepper conjures a chair and some Jack daniels
Tepper- Ill be good
he sits back
-
"Alright, then. Shall we get going?" Hiro said, slightly nervous. How am I gonna run a company...Even with the AI's advice...
-
Tepper- any of you have a book on hand?
-
Giving Tepper a glare, Hikaru snapped her fingers and conjured a stack of books. "Let's go," She grumbled, and walked through the portal.
-
Hiro, Sara, and flora followed her as well.
-
Appearing back on the Outerverse, Hikaru marched back over to Tepper and picked up the vial with his blood and hair. Then kneeling down, she bit her finger and began to draw a spell circle upon the ground. A more simpler one than usual, when she was finished, took vial and poured the blood and hair onto the circle, causing it to immediately glow in reaction.
Inside of the circle, the dirt below it began to raise up, forming its self into a body, and taking on the form of the DNA that was with int. When it was done, a perfect replica of Tepper lay on the ground, undamaged, for now...
After standing back up, Hikaru glanced over to Tepper. "Well then, ready to 'die?'
-
Tepper looks up from a book titled "Communist manifesto"
Tepper- Sure
-
Taking her katana from its sheath, Hikaru threaded a fine line of holy fire around the end of the hilt, then threw it to Tepper. "Stab yourself with this. Don't be stupid and kill yourself. Just cause yourself enough of a life threatening wound to cause the spirit to almost leave the body. Once that's done, I can rip your whole spirit out, and heal your real body. Just make sure it's bad enough for you to linger between dying and living"
-
He Take it and does so.
Tepper-Damnit
he falls to the ground
-
"Wow... he actually did it.." Hikaru muttered, as she waited for his spirit to leave the body. Once she saw sight of it come out, she walked over his real body, and took out a healing potion. Popping the cap off the potion, she dumped it out on the wound, and watched as it magically fixed its self. But the healing potion wasn't a normal potion. It was one meant to fix the wound and bring the body back, but without the spirit. Hopefully this way, his being 'dead,' wouldn't draw him to the Spirit Realm.
Once that was done, she turned around and walked back over the false body, pointing to it, and setting it on fire, then taking the fallen katana and stabbing it enough times, until it looked damaged beyond repair, that it resembled having died in a real fight. Just for good measure though, she also cut off an arm, grinning as she did it. As she was sure, Tepper probably didn't like the sight.
Turning back to him, she glanced the scene over. "Well that's done. Any requests before I leave you to stay, while I deal with that damn group?"
-
Tepper gets up
Tepper- No...i think ill be fine
he pick up the Jack and takes a swig
-
Not even questioning how a spirit could drink alcohol.... Hikaru made the real body disappear, then picked levitated the false one as she picked up the bottle containing the false soul. Walking to the edge of the displacement field, she looked back at Tepper. "Stay in this circle. They CANNOT know you're alive." At that she teleported out of the field along with the false body, to another part of the Outerverse.
Dropping the levitation spell, and thus the body, she kicked dirt over it to cause it enough to be dirty, then took the duplicate soul out and copied her actions from before, but this time with the false soul, casting out a signal of Tepper's magic signature to ten times its usual power.
-
"Interior crocodile alligator! I drive a chevorlet mo-"
The KiaB clone stopped when he realized he's fully teleported to the Outerverse. "Damn classic rap songs, those Earthlings really made catchy stuff fifty years ago.. anyway, Hikaru, I see you killed Tepper. Too bad I sold the Mark you're looking for a week ago. Some annoying kid named Ace bought it from me."
-
".....And you didn't bother to mention this, BEFORE I KILLED THE FOOL?!" Hikaru literally looked like she was going to kill the first thing that spoke to her, the soul in her hand being squeezed so hard, it's a wonder it didn't just pop. "Then what the hell was the reason for this?!" Marching briskly up to the KiaB clone, she gave him a death glare. "I want more information on the idiot you sold it to! Tell me everything you know or I swear I'll bring him back to life!"
-
"Oh, I don't care about Tepper anymore," KiaB said, shrugging, "Anyway, here."
A stone tablet appeared in KiaB's hands which he tossed to Hikaru. "Break that in half when you have no soldiers around and you'll teleport to Ace."
-
"Why the hell would you give away the mark that controls Koty?!!!" Hikaru exclaimed, just letting the stone tablet fall to the ground beside her. "Did you even know what you had?! Or the power it possessed?! Why the hell would you give it to some random stupid kid?! And here I thought your group was intelligent. Forget Zharael ever battling against you again, you're not worth my time!"
Holding the vial with the false soul of Tepper, Hikaru growled. "And for wasting my time! I demand something else. How about Starania? Since it was unfairly taken from my brother."
-
"No," KiaB denied. "And we gave that kid the mark because we are.. stronger. The answer can be found in your kind, Hikaru.."
-
"Then I'll just take it forcefully." Hikaru growled.
-
"Have fun," KiaB said, grinning. "You will die."
-
Hikaru laughed. "Me die? That's a new one. Phoenix's never die, and you're too over-confident. The only reason you won our last battle was because I tried a tactic that didn't quite work out the way I planned. If I could take back that battle, you would not have won."
-
"You are not immortal, Hikaru. Not truly. You only have the fake immortality, the sense of immortality which exists for the sage kind. It makes me ashamed that I was ever one of you.. This Osmosian body, while limited, allows me much more pride... And once I perfect this body, I will be invincible."
A rip in the air opened suddenly, a portal of sorts for KiaB to leave through.. To Stariana. But before he left, he grabbed something -- black paper? -- out of his robe pockets. He through the black paper outwards and each small strip turned into a bird of sorts, and the birds -- several of them -- took off throughout the Outerverse, spreading KiaB's signature throughout it and erasing Kai's..
And then, KiaB walked through the portal he had made.
-
The birds met lavender mist, as the Shroud of Tartarus that was around the Displacement field increased in size and quantity, at Hikaru's command. Due to the nature of the Shroud spell, blocking and masking magic signatures, it negated the effects of the birds, and thus kept the signature from changing. However using such spells alerted to the Outerverse that people were there, now, and since Hikaru didn't own it any longer, that meant she had to leave as well.
Teleporting back to Tepper, Hikaru glanced over to him, "We need to leave now, this whole thing was a waste of time. But whatever, you're now officially dead. Now get back in your body, and you're going back to Aralia. After that, you're not my problem."
-
Tepper-Alright
he looks down at his body
Tepper- So how does that work?
-
Hikaru sighed. "Just focus on your body and re-connecting, then walk into it. Oh, and I believe this belongs to you." Reaching into her cloak, she pulled Tepper's real soul out and tossed it back to him. "That might help."
-
Tepper-Alright here goes nothing...i guess
he does so and gets back into his body
-
"About time," Hikaru grumbled as she opened a portal back to Grunder. "Now get in there!" She snapped, throwing him head first , then walking through herself.
-
OOC-Nice touch
