Title: 4th Of July
Post by: K2 on July 04, 2010, 01:59:24 PM
Members,
Today is a historic day, anniversary of our four fathers’ deeds of liberty, and furthermore a salute to democracy. Today is the 234th anniversary of the signing of the document assuring America’s founding. We here at Shattered Planes would like to acknowledge this day. While we understand that not every member is of America, we ask that you respect customs and celebrate America’s impact on the world.

Personally, I will be spending today with extended family and friends (and maybe a few strangers which I will become accustom to) in celebration. Fireworks, hot dogs, barbeque… American traditions. No matter how you spend today, we wish you a happy independence day.

With the state it's in, America's kinda not deserving of all that much praise. Anyone can have a powerful military if they throw enough money at it.

It's sad. It's really, really sad.

Remember the days when America backed its military, when we were actually proud of what we had, and people were willing to shut up and sacrifice for the military?

Yeah, neither do I. They were decades before my time.

It's sickening to see a nation that condemns its military like America does. Although it's not as bad as the Vietnam War, these days Americans just... don't care.

Have any of you ever been on a military base, and looked around at the men and women in the forces? Most of them are young, fresh out of high school. It's amazing.

Why did we have to wait for a terrorist attack to love our military, even if we forgot them less than a year later?

Not "Screw America," "Screw the Americans that ruined this country in the 60s."

That is all.

If the Military went up to my door, Handed me a gun and told me to be on the next flight out...i'd do it. People here don't appreciate what we have here. would you rather be in China where they only allow you to have 1 child, kill you for speaking out, and rule over you like tyrants? or perhaps you would like to live in ethiopia ...no food, water, medicine, houses, indoor pluming,or any modern luxuries we have here...really people who dont appreciate america sicken me and don't deserve its opportunities.

Amen, guys. America once was #1. #1 in health, economy, education.. Everything. We have gotten lazy! It's up to us, the citizens, to make America great again.

Actually, we are still #1 in health. :{D

... Er, right. If things turn South, I feel I'll be signing up for the military too.
