This could be pinned plz.
Ok, every so often, we have a new race added to our collective whole on Shattered Planes. And since we use the character request forum they get brushed under the mat like some of the characters. On Cosmic Empires we had a pinned topic for the race requests to go in to differentiate them and keep them stored where we can all look at them easily.

The Stranafos
Long ago, on the planet we know as Agira, Humans somehow landed. This was long before space travel, but they found themselves in a new land. On their neck, was a strange indentation, two connected circles. What had actually happened, was these humans had been abducted by the Tal, who had dropped them here for an Experiment. The indentation on their neck was where they had injected them with a very special serum. The point of the serum was to try and and quicken evolution, however, since evolution was not the process in which humans were created, they had different side affects. The people were stronger, aged at a slower rate, and were also smarter. These heightened Humans called themselves the Stranafos, and in addition to these common traits, some of them developed other powers.
The powers were many and varied. But as the Stranafos bred, they found their children retained only one of their traits, and that was their intelligence. After centuries, the Stranafos had developed a great empire and had developed space travel. After landing on Earth and stealing their technology, the Stranafos developed their own, almost perfect, versions of earth's weaponry, as well as other technology. However, the Tal came back to check on their experiment, and when they did, they found the Stranafos too strong.
The Tal destroyed them, after a long campaign, to finish what they had started. However, not before the Stranafos has stolen the serum their originals were injected with, and had left storehouses of their weapons, and technology, under ground.
Those weren't the only secrets buried...
In a nutshell: They are humans who were artificially enhanced. The originals were distinguishable from most humans in that they were in perfect physical condition, and the others are impossible to identify, except by their IQs. They are extinct, but some were left in hibernation in their secret underground storehouses.
-
So the current Stranafos generation has no physically distinguishing characteristics from humans?
Approved.

Yes. Although, the remaining Stranafos will be injected with the serum.

The Serpencullis
From the dawn of time on the planet Zed, the Serpencullis were created simultaneously with the Whooma. There is a divine bond created between them. The Serpencullis can manipulate the thoughts of creatures by making contact with their skin, but they have to be of weaker will, strong willed people are impossible to manipulate, except by exceptionally strong Serpencullis. The Whooma are strong willed creatures, and in order to tame one you have to very convincing in your power. This bond between Serpencullis and Whooma has kept both races alive throughout the centuries, and the Serpencullis have developed traits similar to the Whooma native to their region.
As far as appearances, the Serpencullis are similar to humans. The skin is scaly, but tan. Some of them can have blue green scales, however. They do not have hair, but do develop horns instead.
The Whooma
The Whooma is the collective name for a variety of creatures that are similar biologically but not all connected. The kind depends on the region. Some have wings, some are wingless. Some walk on four legs, some on two. Some breath fire, some ice, some don't breath at all. The many types are as follow:
Lamron
Considered the standard of Whooma, the Lamron are the most widely distributed across the planet Zed. The are Quadrupeds, with large batlike wings. They have hard scales, but not as hard as some of the other races. They are some of the more intelligent Whooma, but do not speak with their voices. They do not breath anything like fire, but have very strong tails. Their strength, for Serpencullis, is their ease of training, and their general lack of weaknesses against weather conditions and other Whooma. They grow anywhere from 25-40 feet in length, and 6-8 feet tall, and their colouring is generally drab tans, grays, and greens.
Onrefni
Born and raised in the volcanic regions of Zed, the Onrefni are tough, hardy, stubborn, hot-headed and hard to train. If you harness their power, however, you will be rewarded. The Onrefni are quadrupeds without wings, but they are capable of spewing magma and fire from their mouth. Magma can be excreted through their sweat glands too. Their weakness is sub zero temperatures, and prolonged immersion in water or repeated dowsing with water. They grow, on average, 40-50 feet long, and are usually 10 feet tall. Their scales are always a solid orange or red.
Retaw
These Whooma are unique in that they are legless, wingless serpents. They have gills, but are capable of traveling out of water as long as they stay moist. They spout massive, devastating jets of water from their mouth, and they serpentine nature makes them difficult to fight. Their weakness is losing their moisture and being out of water. They grow about 60-80 feet long, and are colored blue gray.
Gnintil
A unique and rare Whooma that harnesses the power of lightning. They spawn from eggs in lakes and rivers, and grow as serpents. They are always the top of their food chain, channeling electricity through their body to devastate fish. As they grow, however, they develop wings and legs and leaved the body of water. The grow wool, with they use to gather electricity, and fly high above the mountain in lighting storms. Their wings gather electricity from the air well flying. They are hard to find, but once discovered, are not hard to tame. They are a little smaller then most Whooma, growing on average 20-30 feet, and 6-7 feet tall. They are colored yellow.
Digirf
In the cold, arctic regions of Zed are these intense creatures. Highly hostile, they are among Zed's hardest to tame. They are large, can fly, but are als adept swimmers, capable of holding their breath for long periods of time, and breath freezing ice breath. They grow at similar sizes to the Lamron, and are always colored pure white with blue eyes. Highly intelligent, they can speak in the native Zed language and have the longest life span of all Whooma.
Roirraw
Wingless, fierce creatures that are easy to tame, the stand on two legs, with large clawed arms used as manipulators and for fighting. They are tall, but not as intelligent as most Whooma, but spectacular fighters. They have a ferocious bit, a mean tail for clubbing, and vicious clawed hands. They stand 12 feet tall. Colored faint yellows, oranges, and browns.
Monev
Inhabiting the swamps and other murky, dark places of Zed, these dragons are the smallest of the whooma. They are bipedal, with small arms and wings that enable them to fly small distances. The have horns and spike covering their body, if poked with any of them, a poison is emitted with lethal results. These Whooma can spit corrosive acid and poison that immediately absorbs through bare skin to infect the unfortunate soul who got in it's way. 6 feet tall, 8 feet including wings. Colored very dark purples and black, with spots.
Trid
Wingless, quadrupedal, these Whooma are strong and burrow through the ground, popping up to snatch unwary creatures on the surface. Hard to find and tame, but easy to train, these creatures are usually found in the desert. Very good sense of hearing allows them to detect creatures through fifty feet of dirt. 25-30 feet long, 5-7 feet tall. Always sand colored.
Draziw
The rarest and most unique Whooma, these creatures are bipedal with wings only capable of gliding. They are the most intelligent Whooma, capable of speaking in Zed language with a large vocabulary and using magic. They stand 8-10 feet tall, and their color greatly varies.
Leets
Hiding deep in the ground, these are remnants of an ancient war among the Whooma, and have been in hibernation for centuries. There scales are almost impenetrable, and are the hardest of all Whooma scales. Quadrupedal, with large strong wings. 50 feet long, 10 feet tall, chrome scales.

Misread it, sorry. Serpencullis and Whooma approved.
EDIT:
Sierrensa Norionseir: Some of the most skilled of the Sierrensa order become Norionseir. Foreign groups have nick-named them Reivers. The first few Norionseir were veterans who'd lost everything in the Nyx war. Their homes, families, friends. Now they are some of the most skilled warriors on the battlefield, treading the hair-thin line between life and death. Their concentration allows them to focus entirely on the battle, dodging attacks by centimeters, sometimes less, while striking almost constantly and even shrugging off lesser wounds entirely. They most often use a weapon in either hand, sometimes polearms or claymores. Their heavy armor provides the best protection available, while their quite advanced Sierrensa talents allow them to move and strike with surprising speed and precision.
They often live and eat separately from the rest of the Relorian military. Many of them can be considered, odd. Some have extreme fascinations with death, and use their combat opportunities to study it, while others court with death, as if dancing with a friend. And of the surviving original Norionseir, there remains grieving, pained men and women seeking death through combat.

The Klaysangeelii
These people look basically human, with one exception: Their color. Their skin is a light shade of blue with a somewhat dark tint (somewhat like the classic bright blue MS paint color). The hair is pretty much the same tint, but a darker shade. The other big thing that separates them from humanity is the fact that they are a kind of Anaerobic organism. To put it simply, they do not breath. This makes them very popular amongst jobs that require being in space.
They come from a small atmospheric moon called Plaukhanai (I will say more about it's location when I figure out more about whats where in this RP). The moon is nearly completely jungle, but the tree's are bigger than any other in the universe. many of them you can see and individualize from space. The trees do not break apart from the shear weight because they have naturally occurring elements in them that strengthen them. They are nearly imposable to cut down. The Klaysangeelii sometimes live in houses carved out of the trees, but those are commonly too expensive for the ordinary ones. Many of them live in metal tree houses in the branches. Many still live in rooms carved out of the vines, but there are times when that doesn't work out well (for reasons you will find out if you read on).
If they reproduce with a human, the child is basically like a mule. If scientists wanted to, they may be able to clone one who wasn't sterile. A magic user could probably also turn one fertile if they were powerful enough.
In space they still have to a special suit to avoid radiation poisoning and rapid temperature change, but it can be cheaper, easier to work with, and more efficient. They have amazing homeostasis that allows them to be inspace for a few minutes before freezing. They can survive out in space with nothing, but they will be at risk.
They usually eat fruits and vegetables. Sometimes they eat meat, but its not as good for them. There is a nutrient in the giant vines that they need to survive, but it can be found in other places (on other planets).
They were a peaceful race, living alone from the rest of the universe. Other races started to land on the moon out of curiosity, and the planet's never been the same. They started trading with other race, and immigrating with them.
-
Nik... You can't survive in space without anything. Even if they don't breath they would die. Why? Because the extreme cold would instantly make them a popsicle.
-
Titanicii
These are a race of giants. They look exactly human except for their enormous size. The tallest being around 14 ft tall. They also have a wider variety of colors in their biology. Red, green, blue, yellow, orange and all the other colors of the rainbow are included in their eye and/or hair colors. They also live to be nearly 200 years old.
Their appearance is tied to their magical affinity. If they are best at light magic, then they are more likely to have lighter hair and eye colors and vice versa.
They live on the planet Teffilin, under the cover of secret magical tunnels that lead to where they live in the core. They fled the alien invaders that came nearly 100 years ago and fled down deep in the earth.
They live in a peaceful society of magic users. They have almost no war or crime. They make whatever they want or need. But they still want to live upon the surface of their world.
-
Not instantly, but very quickly.
-
Um.. yeah... pretty much instant popsicle.
-
Depends on the advancement in their homeostasis. :P

Name: Hajekians (Hi-yek-eons)
The Hajekians are the Embodiment's body guards, created to do their bidding or to help the embodiment with various tasks. They aren't bonded to the Embodiment forever, since the embodiment can choose to either let them go or keep them with them at all times.
Besides, they are responsible for the Hajek's existence. Of course they'll do whatever they're commanded; the embodiment that made them is like their mother/father.
Hajeks are a form of Humans. They are shorter, their eyes always glowing a blazing orange. Their hair would often change color along with their mood, orange being when they were most angry, and green when they were mellow or normal. They possessed vasts amounts of energy, capable of powering an entire world for three days straight if stockpiled and used correctly. Lastly, their skin was always darker, but not tanned. More like gray.
Passive skills any Hajek inhabits;
Killing intent: Ability to release a certain aura that will often freeze the hearts of the weak willed with fear and utter hopelessness.
Critical Eye: Hajek eyes are capable of a X-ray sort-of ability, allowing them to peer within the bodies of living things' energy and witness their energy flow and aura and how it is managed. By witnessing this, they can tell things from how you're feeling to knowing if you're about to release some giant energy attack.
Immortality: Hajeks cannot age, cannot gain sickness or disease. If they die, they are reincarnated on the spot. However, for the next twenty minutes after they reincarnate, they are considered mortal and will die and stay dead. They do not go to the afterlife because the certain aspect that makes this happen is (listed below the passive traits)
Demonic: When emotions reach a breaking point, Hajeks will lose all grip on who they are as people and gain immense power, but at the cost of their sanity and immortality.
Hajekian Energy conversion: Hajekians can command many energies that reside in the air and take them within themselves and convert them to more powerful energy. They can also stockpile these energies to super condensed forms within their body for various purposes. A condensed form of energy can power a planet for three days straight.
Nocturnal: Hajekian powers are considerably powered up during the nighttime for unknown reasons.
Hyper Regenerative being: Any wounds inflicted on a Hajek is healed within seconds automatically, no energy involved.
Hajekians have no spirits; they were created by Embodiments, so their so called 'spirit' is artificial. They cannot use it for attacks, they cannot go to the afterlife, and they cannot exist after death. Once they die completely, it is FINAL.
A wound left on a Hajek can cause energy leakage, causing major interference to other energy attacks or technology in general. Wounding one on purpose is definitely not recommended whenever near anything that stores data.
Eating is never a requirement. However, going a few days without eating can serious inhibit a Hajek's fighting ability.
*** NOT FOR PUBLIC USE ***

Savor, Red Summoner, and UnStellar are Sages. Or were. Hikaru told me they had to have some sort of mythical animal associated with them to be Sages. I didn't like that. So, from now on, these three characters are:
Mazheek
Mazheek are a race of human appearing creatures from another dimension. Mazheek were a temperamental race, and there was always some war or another going on. People just got used to it. Mazheek always have magic ability, and by this dimension's standards, are always pretty powerful. They usually put emphasis on one particular kind of magic, like Summoning or Enchanting or Portal & Pocket dimensions, and have Soul organs nearly indentical to Sages, making people wonder if they're possibly connected to the Sages somehow?

No details?

Um... I just had to make a random race to retcon my character because somebody didn't correct when they were made. I'll edit.

The Killer Cows
These Carnivorus creattures scour the galaxy looking for a good bite to eat. Theyl eat anything, human, arlang, imbellis, you name it. they also are not good at spelling. They are considered to be one of the most dangerous races in the universe. They even pose a super threat to the Locarb Lorcar and love eating them because of their all-you-can-eat-buffet numbers. They dont have much technology and the main weopon they use is fire that spews from their utters superchease, wich I will explain later in the Tech forum. They recently have come from another dimension, and are ready for chow. I'm just kidding, this is completely a joke.
-
Nik. They have a section of the forum devoted for this.

A section devoted to cows with superchease? Get out of here?

Its called joke character creation.

Enrakni
The Enrakni are a race of Autotrophs that live amongst the universe. They all have magic, but not very much. There are none naturally above level 3, but there have been some to find ways of boosting their magical ability higher. Their own magic stays with them their entire life with one exception (which I will explain later) Some specialize in disguise, some in speed. It all depends on the individual and how they collect their energy. They all have light gray skin, black hair, and red eyes. They also have pointy ears, and are always lanky with pointy chins. Other than this they're pretty much human in appearance. As I have already stated, they are Autotrophs, but they do not use sunlight to harvest energy, they use magical energy. There are a few ways they do this.
The most common way is by sensually touching the magic being and sucking the magic into their bodies. They do this by using whatever skin is touching the magic's skin. Some physical force the magic person to touch them. This rarely works for obvious reasons. Some try to be romantic with the magic user, and this one is usually the most effective. They use magic to appear as another race, and make the feeling of draining magic seem like love. You can't really tell if your in a relationship with one except for a few signs, such as more skin touching you more often.
This process takes along time to deplete magic and requires a lot of work. It keeps them well nourished, but some don't want to live a life of slowly depleting one's magic. That's why some developed technology that can suck a soal dry in a few seconds. Then you can spend your whole life feeding from that devise. It works on other races without soals as well.
They don't have much technology, but what they have is suited to their needs. They're homeworld is not populated very much by their people. Only 3% actually live on it, for the reason that there isn't as many magic's on it.
-
Appro- No, kidding. I'm not staff. I'll tell you stuff to make it better though:
Your race allows for some interesting character development, but not so good on the combat side of things. I suggest raising the max level to 5, and elaborate more on their other abilities, like what kind of magic they specialize in, or how well do they manage magic inside of them? Does it stay with them forever, or is it like a drink; you can refill it, but it's still limited? How about the technology side of things, do they advance in technology every day, or is it more based on magic, like a lot of other races?
Elaborating on other things about your race would help as well, like their appearance. What do they look like? What races might find them attractive for their love-like magic system?
Thar's my advice.
-
I already said what they look like
-
I already said what they look like
You gave them different colors; but other than that, they're still just a humanoid archtype. I suggest giving them something a little different, make them different from all the other human ripoffs. For example, you could make their average height about 6 feet, or give them a tail. Make them different somehow!
-
Aetas: (Aetas means lifetime/age in latin, not ripping anyone off here.)
The Aetas are a very sought after race. Why? Because of their powers. You know those old fairy tales, the ones of earth? Where you have your fairy's, your leprechauns, all of your 'little elf like people,' that help out for prices or play tricks and don't? Well, that all stems from the Aetas Race. Where Earth, and other races got the knowledge of them, not many really know, it's speculated that a few let themselves be seen, so as to play a few tricks on the unsuspecting public.
But, that would only be a few jokers, as the Aetas rather like to keep to themselves unless called. Because as I was saying, their powers are sought after. They are, to put it in simple terms. Wish Granters. No! Don't think for a minute, just because they grant wishes you can now go outside your home and shout "I WISH TO OWN JAPAE!" It's not going to happen. Or, "I WISH TO OWN THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE AND BE THE MOST RICHEST, STRONGEST, MOST POWERFUL AND OMNIPOTENT BEING IN EXISTENCE." ....Keep dreaming. Even if the Aetas had that power, it's against their own personal beliefs to do such a thing, as its a form of interference.
No, the Aetas are not THAT TYPE of wish granter. They grant smaller wishes. Things on a small scale, but even then, the wishes are never how the wisher perceives. Not that the Aetas make them evil, or get them wrong on purpose, it's just the way their powers work. Say you wish for sword? You never specified what kind, and may get a sword larger than you are, or so small you can't even see it. Which takes us to how you wish.
You must always specify, and be damn detailed. Any slip of the tongue, or wrong meaning in your wish, and you won't get another chance unless you have reason to have.
Aetas grants wishes as they see fit, if you come across one, or if they see it as a wish they want to grant. Some wishes require payment, some don't. It depends on that particular Aetas and if he or she is busy at the time, or if they like you. They can also make the wishes go wrong on purpose if you manage to annoy such a being. After all, they aren't your bitch or slave to force wishes and every desire of your heart out of. They are a sentient race that uses their powers as they see fit.
Ah right, desire, that's another thing. Your wish also stems from your desire. If you wish to have an apple when really you're craving a peach. Guess what? You'll either get a peach or some cross of the both of them. Aetas grant wishes, but desire drives them.
A typical Aetas stands about 2 ft tall, they are pale skinned, and usually are known to have ambient colored eyes. Their hair ranges from any odd color, and never natural colors. And upon their back they have a very chibi-like angel wings, like that of (anime chibi angel/clamp). The Aetas have a variety of personalities, and no Aetas is alike. If they take a liking to you, they may follow you around and grant your every wish as they see fit! Or, you may end up pissing one off with demands (*cough*Hawkeye*cough*) and you'll get one following you, cursing your every desire to something bad.
It really depends.

After a few readings and a some time of Rp'ing i have realized that this particular forum is more Empire based rather than Character based, so I need my own Empire, so I now present you with the main race of the Heliphlein Confederation.
Heliphleix
Appearance
The Heliphlein race have a classically elven appearance. They have a paler skin tone, and have eyes that come in just about every color that has no red hue. The ore saturated the rarer. Their hair comes in all colors natural to humans, but it doesn't change with aging. Their hair natural clumps like wet hair (even when it's dry). They don't gain muscle or fat in bulk nearly as much as human. The effect is that they all seem thin, even if one is as strong as a pro wrestler. They have pointy ears, shaped with a somewhat straight, rounded point.
Magical Traits
It used to be that only about half of the Heliphleix had magical abilities, but after a large chainge in government, they started to interbreed with each other less and less. The ones with magical abilities had less children than the nonmagics. At this point there are many more nonmagics, but only about 4/7 are nonmagic.
The magic is always at the same magic level, no matter the individual. They are passed through generations like the sickle cell virus (but instead f getting both sickle cell genes killing them, two magic genes guarantee magical ability) But the thin is that their magic (which flows through the bloodstream), is directly linked with emotions. The intensity and type of emotion determines the type, and strength of the Magic. For example, rage will give you firey and explosive, but feeling mellow will give them a weaker type of magic. The most powerful kind is torment, which I will go into later.
Other Physical Traits
Heliphleix live about 500 years apeace, but the developing of rarer or more powerful magic may extend their lifetime. They have very high metabolisms, witch allows them to be energetic most of entire their lives. They mostly eat plants, but they do sometimes eat poultries and other kinds of meat.

Let's compare this shall we?
Heliplheix
Heliphleix appearance: Mainly human, elf ears, don't get fat or muscular.
Paxan appearance: Mainly human, elf ears, purple eyes, females have wings, a physically fit race due to magic energy and connection to surroundings and selves.

Paxan magic: http://shatteredplanes.com/index.php?topic=1812.0
Other shtuff:
Long life spans (500 years). Unexplained why.
Paxans have long life spans (120+ for those weak in magic) due to magic in the blood stream repairing body, destroying viruses and diseases, and generally keeping them in good shape.
Don't even get me started on the whole "race divided" thing. Same race, different strains being at war. Paxans? Bellicus, and Imbellis, at war for their entire written history, only recently at peace.
Denied due to too many resemblances that it cannot be coincidence.
-
Except for the fact that they have extrime differences in appearance, lifespan, and magical ability making the only simularities that the race is divided, they are mainly huiman, fit, and have some emotion in the magic. Notice how the magical proporties are NOTHING ALIKE! Paxan magic is just magic, but their emotion drives them into battle. EMOTION DRIVES HUMANS INTO BATTLE! My race's magic nature is determined by their emotion, not a hormonal imbalence that gives exces freaking will. Not a simularity.
Also as for the ears, Paxan have curved, almost hooklike ears while Heliophlax have dull ears. Your race is more fairy, while mine is elven (or you could even saay eldar(warhammer 4000 referance)). Either way, its not like your the only person to create a race with pointy ears or human resemblance on this forum, so I wonder why I'm the only one being penalised. Why have you not considered that I, like many, am a fan of elves! My race also has a genaric apearance, that could possably mach other spiecies on this forum, but I am not very fermiliar with it. It's the main reason I made this race in the first place. Not a legitiment reason.
There was never a Helioplan war, they just decided they didn't want to have to dael with each other so much. I came up with the Idea from my Civics and economics class when studying the articles of confederation. Tey are one nation with two states. Not a rip.
As for the magic in the bloodstream, where do you expect it to be? Just randomly placed within the body in every organ? Thats so much mor origanal than in the bloodstream. It even works better with my race than with yours because you know what organ is assosiated with emotion? Did you also know that that organ pumps blood through the body? Another reason that I have come up with, but was going to fill out in the Empire request is that its a defense mechanism against the Enrakni, so they can't have their magic stolen quickly. And I'm not sure you've noticed this, but I don't come on this site very often. Most of the times I have come here was to tell Zak or XANA to Post on UR. Not a rip.
I have spent nearly a week of long bus rides thinking out this race (and to be honest I didn't even know about the Bellicus) and its complications and just becaus you can't see past your own race does not mean that my race reflects it in every way. Yes it has some simularities, but they are farly outnumbered by the differences! I can't belive you are so pumped up and pompus that you cant even consider coincidence and that I have my own creativity, and my own Ideas. What is wrong with you that you cant believe those simple things in a person?
-
I'd address this issue by issue, but I'm having a sucky day so I'll just say the important part.
Nik, I like you and have liked you from the start. I'm not accusing you of being a rip off, or questioning your creativity or being pompous or any of that crap. It's just, to me, this race, however original it may be, it's too similar to my species for my comfort. I'm not approving, but that doesn't mean the rest of the staff will agree with me. Please don't take this to heart.
-
Alright, but what made me angry was saying that it couldn't be coincidence.

Narrikian
Beings like humans but with a lot of differences. First of all is that any alcohol they drink is converted into energy immediately thus making it to where they can't get drunk. Truth Serums as a result of this don't affect them so getting information out that way isn't possible. Furthermore unlike humans they are indeed capable of magic although theirs is a bit different. Unlike sages the existence they draw in or use must first pass through a membrane around the Propryon which helps speed up the process of changing it into magical energy. But this is done at a rate that will not kill them or anything due to being filled with magic.
Enhanced Narrikians
Narrikians that have either undergone radical surgery or drank a potion to change them into Elites. There are a lot of differences between the Elite and the regular Narrikians. One such difference is while the Narrikians may be like humans enough for air born weaponry such as the one Grunder used to work, the Elite are not. The animal DNA that has been implanted inside of them blocks that weapon from affecting them and grants them some traits. Speed is increased to 160 mph on land on foot. Flight is now possible since wings that are retractable are on the back. The wings like the bones of the body are more metallic than that of a normal human. Also since their bones are metallic that means that they are stronger physically allowing them to lift more than a normal Narrikian could lift. Further their eye sight is also expanded thanks to Hawk DNA, allowing them to see much farther. Also they have the same organ called a Propryon which is what holds their magical energy until they need to use it. Physically they are also stronger than humans. However the process of using any enhanced ability is done by using biological energy to allow them to do the enhanced movements or whatever they need. Eye sight and hearing require none however.
-
Hold on a sec... I thought we told you to tone done the abilities of the WH Elite. Not approving unless you do so.
-
There. I have toned it down now by making the Enhanced Narrikians have to use their biological energy (The energy they need to move run, hike, jog, fight...etc) to power their non magic abilities.
-
I don't feel like I know much about the race. I know they have an awesome augmentation process, an magical organ, aren't affected by drugs (and alchohol is a drug), and they have some unknown human attributes.
-
Hello? Approval please would be nice today.
-
Narrikian approved. What are you talking about when you say air born weaponry on the enhanced one?
-
NOOOO! What about me?
-
What I was reffering to, happened to be the V9 biological weapon that Lyoko had developed. It has absolutely no effect on them.
-
Thunder's approved. Hawkeye, are you just requesting a name change?
-
Approved, though randomly splicing a animal's DNA into your own genome wont always have the desired affect.
As well, most birds can see a vaster range of the Electromagnetic Spectrum than humans, so that would be...Disorientating, to say the least.
And yes, Nisorin, he was. Hik said he needed to re-request the whole thing, though, I think. Meh.
-
Yes. Just a name change basically. I also made some improvements on the races.
-
GHA! REACT TO MY RACE!
Thank you Nis for noticing me. :D
-
Approved, thunder.
-
YAY! I only need 2 approvals, right?
-
Hybrids
Beings that are children from two races usually sporting attributes of both races. While they may not be as powerful with the racial attributes of either race, they are stronger with the combined abilities of both races.
-
Yeah, I think those don't need requesting.
-

Denied. We'll take it on a case by case basis.

Exactly what I meant

Genetic Experiments
Studies into genetics have led to the Narrikians creating a new race based off terran animals and other species they have encountered allowing them to create new creatures. These creatures are called experiments. Some of them possess enhanced strength, others possess elemental manipulation to a degree, but most have their own abilities. Capable of performing magic thanks to many experiments with sage DNA and Osmosian DNA along with Narrikian DNA, these creatures are the new foot soldiers of the Narrikians. When killed however they don't die, but merely melt down into an ooze. If all the ooze is gathered up they can be reconstructed from it, even if a single bit is gathered up they can be reconstructed. Albeit they will not have their memories but that is about it.

Null. You're saying that their spirit doesn't move on.

Genetic Experiments
The attacks by Worlds Without Boundaries frightened the Narrikians into a course of action they would not normally utilize but now were forced to do. Since so much was known by their enemy about them a new creational idea was come up with by the scientists namely genetic experimentation. Once the idea had been accepted by Rezick and Lord Montreal DNA from terran animals along with other species and also osmosian, veldorian and sage DNA along with the dna of Narrikians was gathered. What was created were beings with none of the downsides of sages, veldorians or Narrikians except for the removal of the magical organ in their body. These beings could use magic and could also use mimicry which was granted as a variation of the absorption ability of the Veldorians in order to grant them something not magic to use. Also each one of them can lift up to 10,000x their own body weight. Regular bullets fail against them primarily because they are impervious to regular bullets for some odd reason along with tranquilizer darts. If you are going to fight these either use lasers on them, or hit them in close range combat.
-
Where would they get the Sage DNA?
-
The sage is Lord Montreal. His dna was sampled, replicated and then used for this project. Also all experiments as a result of the combination of 3 magic races can perform magic. So I have fixed the race up.
-
...Bullets work by causing physical damage...So there's have to be a limit to how high the caliber they can block would be...
And thats waaaaaay too strong physically.
Without the organ, how do they produce magic?
-

In addition their magical organ while smaller and called a zylos actually produces more for them than it normally would do to the body.
Also they are quick to recover from most attacks and 9 calibur bullets just don't work on them nor does anything under that calibur. Also their skin is very hard which makes most bladed weapons fail. Most, because energy/powered weapons can still work on them. When they are killed their bodies explode into ooze. If even the tiniest bit of the ooze remains, and is recovered the BODY not the spirit may be recreated.

Holy hell. Denied, too much god mode potential.

They can lift up to 25x their own weight normally.
Their mimicry however is limited to things within their eye sight and they have to wait a few minutes before they can use the abilities of whatever they mimic. Further the being must display said ability before they can mimic it. Also the mimicry only lasts about an hour before it wears off completely and they have to re mimic the ability again. Also they must have physical contact in order to mimic, but the contact needs to be only 2 seconds before they can mimic. Another way they could mimic is if they were hit by the attack and absorbed it.
Their magical organ known as an Amana is about the size of a soul organ but does the same process except like the Narrikians the existence passes through a membrane first.
The membrane acts as a catalyst speeding up the process of the conversion.
Night vision along with thermal vision and X-ray vision are some of the abilities they have that don't require much energy to use. Also they have incredibly fast reflexes but not nearly fast enough to snatch bullets out of the air. Still though that does grant them an advantage over most races.
Limitations include they can only absorb one set of abilities at a time but the advantage is that the normal weaknesses of the user don't transfer over to them during the absorption process.
-
Make it so they have to make physical contact with the being to mimic and I'll approve.
-
Alright. I have made the changes you want. Since your approval was conditional to those changes I shall assume that you have approved.
-
Approved, I guess.

Genetic Experiment Generation Two
Science had improved for the Narrikians and so they were able to create a new batch of genetic experiments. Only this batch was different from the first as it was made by a new scientist. This batch unlike the others would have four arms. 2 of which could be retracted, the 2 below the normal arms could be retracted. Also they were given enhanced reflexes, agility and physical strength beyond that of a normal genetic experiment. They can catch bullets, move fast, lift up to 30x their own body weight in terms of mass. Also they have both magic and Psi. Some prefer Magic while others prefer Psi. These are also more durable than normal genetic experiments would be. And can survive in harsher conditions longer than normal ones would. Further they can see in a variety of spectrums. (Infra-red, ultraviolet, heat, cold. ) They like their brothers have the same wings though that can be retracted, and metallic bones.

Solstici.
A race that firmly believes that anything can be achieved by simply believing in oneself. Rather than Magic or technology, they directly use their spirit energy as a means for attacking and for various other tasks rather than combining it with magic to amplify it's power. As such, they can't use fancy abilities and do everything like magic can, but the fact that their attacks are pure spirit energy means that there is next to nothing that can counter it, if at all.
So how have the Solstici lasted this long if they use only their spirit energy? The Solstici have a special connection to celestial bodies, like stars and moons, and even space itself. An old religion of theirs states that they were created by these celestial bodies, or they were lower organisms that attained enlightenment from them. The religion is cast out by now, but many of them still hold respect for these bodies. If they're near any of these (Or more specifically, in sight.), their spirit energy will regenerate. Solstici live very, very long lives, often being classified as unaging. They can do this because these celestial bodies seem to have enormous amounts of this energy, whether it's living or not.
How do they use spirit energy? Like stated before, they can't pull the whole "fuck you it's magic" sort of thing. Think their spirit energy like the force, they can manipulate it and convert it to different energy, or entirely new substances as well. They can draw out spirit energy from celestial bodies and other inanimate objects (They get the majority of it from space.) and even other living things if they so will it (But it's considered one of the greatest evils unless they get the expressed permission of the living thing to do it. Otherwise they'll use it if they really think it justifies something, which is very rare.). They can convert this spirit energy they receive into other elements, like fire, water, wind, earth, ice, etc. Whenever they're converting energy, or whenever they're setting themselves to a certain element, an ice-like substance grows from their arms, colored differently for whatever element they're using. Meaning they can produce these elements from their spirit energy alone. In fact, they can even produce magic through this process if they wanted to.
For ever since their genesis, the Solstici had the growing feeling of exploration, to better themselves beyond what anyone could possibly imagine. It was this feeling alone that propelled them to explore other dimensions, other universes, everything. The Shattered Planes is but only one of their discoveries among their races, and they continue to explore even now. Their longing to explore and gain knowledge on everything seems to be much like how humans started out; once they learned of outer space and it's deep vastness, they wanted to expand and explore it, but felt like it was impossible. Unlike humans though, the Solstici continue their goals, expand on them, and as an end result, grow even further beyond what they were before they did that. Because of this, the Solstici have other strange abilities that can go beyond the scope of what is usually seen in the Shattered Planes, but using these abilities outside of their home realm seems to take more out of them than usual.
The Solstici are simplistic in appearance, but contain strong convictions to plow through whatever it is that troubles them. They are not full of themselves, but just long to better themselves. They can take on any appearance they wish to, but their real look actually defaults to wolf-like creatures that look as if made of ice (http://yuumei.deviantart.com/art/Wolf-of-Ice-86441840?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Adigitalart+wolf&qo=5), which also changes color depending on whatever element they use.
And finally, Solstici have no home planet on the Shattered Planes. They one day just, well, came out of nowhere in peace. Many of them take sides in wars to learn more about those around them, others stay out of conflicts to learn from the outside, and often many just don't care about the people but the shattered planes itself, and want to explore it instead. However, if something stands in their way, if something tells them that they can't do something because they're not strong enough or just aren't smart enough; they'll push forth and achieve whatever it is you said that they couldn't do. Quite a few of them seem to have decided to take up residence on planets like False Heaven and other interesting worlds. Some have even started living on Novier and Nil, completely undetected due to their ability to take on whatever appearance they want.
And for those that still can't piece together what I'm saying, I'll put this in layman's terms. Everything has spirit energy; moons, stars, and space itself has a crapload of it. The Solstici use spirit energy itself for their abilities, and they draw this spirit energy from the aforementioned objects, and even living things. They can convert this spirit energy to other elements, even magic itself. They've explored countless other universes, dimensions, and have a lot to show for it. They are just now exploring the Shattered Planes. They look like wolves but can take on any appearance, and their only desire is to grow and be a better person, beyond what they were before they do an ordeal. Each and every one of them doesn't want to be famous or any of that, but just want to know that they're living their lives to the fullest.
Feel free to lul at it lololololol

YAY ZAI'S BACK
*Ahem*
I approve this awesomely creative species, though I'd still wonder if some planets would resist having their SE stolen/used by someone else...Whoever controls the planet should have a say in it if yer doing it from that, y'know?
As for yer's, Hawk, my only question is...Uh...Where would the retractable limbs go? Yer insides dont have THAT much space...XD

Crap, I forgot to put that in.. they can only do that with the expressed permission of the person holding that energy. They're aware that spirit energy is a person's life force, and it's one of the greatest evils in their mind to take that away from someone unless they say they can. Which is why they use the spirit energy from the stars, moons, and space, not whatever planet.
Edited.

A'ight. Approved, then.

The limbs just dissolve until they are needed.

Genetic Experiment Generation Two
Science had improved for the Narrikians and so they were able to create a new batch of genetic experiments. Only this batch was different from the first as it was made by a new scientist. This batch unlike the others would have more than normal abilities for genetic experiments. First their speed has surpassed that of the genetic experiments, allowing them to run at 330 MPH. Secondly their physical strength has made them up to par with Samson or Goliath Physically. Also they do have the potential for Psi and are capable of using magic as well. But as for spirit energy they cannot use any of it. Also they have bigger bodies than the originals making them seem more muscular. But this is because they have limbs that can be used to replace ones that get cut off or otherwise damaged. Also all known diseases don't work on them as they have been immunized during their creation against said diseases making them even more durable. Further their magic signature seems to non genetic experiments to be at level 0 but it is not actually. This is one of the ways they can cloak themselves is by suppressing constantly their magical energies. Furthermore in addition to the normal magic, and psi and other attributes that they have access to each one has a specialty. Some might be skilled at art, others at combat, etc. Different styles are what this means, and it also chooses what special power they have access to. One could control gravity, another metal..etc.

Vampire: Not technically a species in and of itself, Vampires could be considered a 'sub-species' of those infected with it. Its actually, technically speaking, a virus which alters the body and even DNA of its host, physically mutating them. While the host's form and abilities generally depends on their species, there are a few standard alterations, such as elongated canines, paler skin(though this one it due to a combination of a lack of UV exposure and a large absence of bodily fluids), increased physical ability(such as faster running speed, enhanced strength) without a noticable change in appearance, and a increase in magical ability towards hypnosis, life-extending/healing, and blood-related magics only(just thought I'd make that clear). There are, of course, downsides, such as a physical need to drink blood(species doesn't matter), inability to stand direct or most forms of filtered sunlight, and, perhaps worse for some, having overall the same personality, morals, and identity as their pre-mutated selves. There are reasons for each...A Vampire's fangs and saliva are brimming with the virus, and so the best way to transmit it is to get it into the victem's blood, therefor a bite is the best way to do so. The reason they drink it is because a Vampire's own body actually has very little bodily fluids, and requires the blood for raw materials to produce more(the virus' way of ensuring its host 'feeds', and thus spreads it). Without the blood, the Vampire suffers a slow death as its not only starving literally, but its cells also starved of oxygen, or whatever they breath. As for sunlight, the virus cannot take direct exposure to intense UV radiation, and as the mutation involves it incorporating its own DNA in its host, neither can they. The virus itself is a simple creature, so it doesn't need to take over its host; with the need of blood in place, there's not much choice but to spread the virus for them. The virus itself is magic, but not...(cont)
-
blood-related magics only
What kind? Like what? Blood is sacred so blood based spells are the more powerful types. I kinda need to know what kind since I brought that rule of magic in.
-
(cont)...self aware, which is why it can afford not to replace its host's mind; it either allows them to think on their own terms, or let them be cut down by the smarter enemies by making them run on instinct. Because of the, though limitted, magical abilities granted, Vampires aren't foes to be trifeled with, and are even capable of taking their foe's captive via a form of hypnosis, but this hypnosis holds one key disadvantage-eye contact is required for it to be started. Once eye contact is established, if used right then, it can be used to cloud the victem's thoughts, and make them easier to subject and command, eventually making them inable to think, until they're bitten(which relieves the trance; only the bite, or a couple hours rest can lift the fog from their mind).
To a host that has just been bitten, the turning can take from a few hours to a day; though they'll be unconscious usually for at least two days while their body adjusts to the mutation(initially they'd be unconscious due to blood loss). Immune systems are inneffective at destroying the disease, with few viral cells being destroyed, and its resistant to most medicine and medicinal magics. Usually, the Vampire that bit the other will leave them to their fate, but there are a few that will take the fledgling somewhere safe to teach them how to survive. After all, when a new Vampire(from here reffered to as 'fledgling') awakens, they're unlikely to know whats going on. Vampires dont need to constantly 'feed', but they still need to on a semi-regular basis, roughly twice or three times a week or so, which can give them plenty of spare time to show the fledgling the ropes.
If a Vampire, for whatever reason, doesn't want to let their prey live, there are two methods-to drain them of all their blood(or enough so that they wont survive the bloodloss), or to inflict a mortal wound before they turn.
Hm...I think that covers it, unless I remember something I forgot.
-
Alright, Hik, to answer your question, by 'Blood-related magic', I mean anything from manipulating blood as a liquid weapon, to using it as a catalyst for spells and rituals(combined with magic, of course), to the strongest Vampires being capeable(with your permission, of course) of using even the mighty Blood Contracts. But by blood-related magic, its a broad range of them, with the limitation that it has to be, well, blood. Mostly included that to tie into the whole 'vampire' thing, but exacts would depend upon the style of fighting/whatever of the vampire in question.
-
So, approved or not?
-
Approved.
-
Approved as long as they're powerful. Because in General Magic MEANING ALL. If a spell uses blood, it means it's more powerful than another spell without blood. Due to the sacred properties of blood.
Also, if they KNOW them, contracts are fine. My character created them, but it doesn't mean they can only be used by her. It's just making your victim sign their name in blood which bonds due to the magic in their blood.

Sub Races of the Narrikians
Siccian
One sub race of Narrikians. Unlike normal ones if you wound these beings and they survive the wound they will come out stronger. It is not a matter of maybe for them of becoming stronger with every fight. They look like normal Narrikians for the most part but tend to be more buff and all have different colors of hair. Another distinguishing trait is that their eyes are both the same color. Furthermore they have extreme proficiency with the martial arts and their choice of weapons are usually the ones that work with martial arts. Also they have an accelerated healing factor compared to normal Narrikians. None of them look identical and there are no two that look even the most bit similar.
Zilos
These are Narrikians that have chosen to abandon the art of physical combat all together focusing on the mental abilities instead. A problem with them is that their body is frail and weak but their mind is strong. Another distinction is that their immune systems resist all forms of disease based weaponry. Also while they may not have healing abilities like the Siccian they can heal other people.
Ancient Narrikian
The Narrikians that surpass their own limitations and train themselves without any kind of aid to fight are considered ancient. By the age of 250 their bodies undergo a complete metamorphisis and they become stronger and faster. It is like they have extreme amounts of durability and stamina. What would normally kill a human would only cause a scratch on them and the more force you put behind your blows, the more they can absorb and turn against you easily. Also they have a healing factor second only to that of a Phoenix and are also able to access psionics easily. They are not however immortal. Wounds can be inflicted, but they better be done with unnaturally sharp objects. Killing them with magic is about the only way to kill them.

Ancient Narrkian sounds godmodish.
Altan sounds like a rip off of DBZ.

Edited.

Siccian still is ripish. Ancient Narrikian still is godmoding. Zilos approved.

Siccian
A single sub race that is unlike the other two. This one has specialties with physical combat of any variety. Beings of this sub race have an affinity for any kind of melee or ranged weapons. It comes naturally to them to use such weapons of course. However they also have an accelerated healing factor that allows them to heal. Each fight they survive, they gain the techniques their opponent used against them and work on ways to counter said techniques. Also they are very orderly and hate Anarchy. Most look identical to normal narrikians. In fight time however adrenaline causes their muscles to bulge and their speed to increase. Only it does so more to them than it would to an enhanced Narrikian.
Zilos
These are Narrikians that have chosen to abandon the art of physical combat all together focusing on the mental abilities instead. A problem with them is that their body is frail and weak but their mind is strong. Another distinction is that their immune systems resist all forms of disease based weaponry. Also while they may not have healing abilities like their brothers they can heal other people. But they eat a lot to make up for that. Also magically they are the second highest sub-race of Narrikians.
Ancient Narrikian
Ancient Narrikians are ones who have lived more than 250 years. After that a metamorphosis occurs. What happens is that the body becomes more durable, lighter and more flexible. At the same time their eye sight and other senses are sharpened. The stamina reserves of beings like this are very high indeed. Also any attempt to stab them is like hitting them with a punch as the knife would simply not penetrate. It would be like trying to cut off a limb with a baseball bat, impractical. They have some skill in Psionics, but not much skill in that art. However they do have a high level of skill at magic and using their own energies to fight. Bullets will bounce off unless they are extremely sharp materials used in the making. Bottom line the best way to do damage is lasers, fireballs and other similar attacks. They no longer need to breathe, eat or sleep however. Instead they meditate and in that way restore their energies. Further they have also learned how to draw strength from planets they live on. This strength comes as a refill to their magical energies, and can be used as a last resort. Also their body streamlines the production of magic making it faster to happen for them. Also they possess limited affinity for fighting, and limited healing powers as well. Further they are lighter on their feet than most races, and can use 100% of their brainpower unlike normal races do.

Approved, needs one more approval.

Bump!
-
How do they gain the abilities of those they defeat?
Approved.
What stops the materials from penetrating the skin and stuff? Also, how can they sustain themselves without food and drink? Sure, they can get the energy from surroundings, but that doesn't explain how they'd survive the malnutrition.
-
Genji- race of power magic beings whose religion does not allow them to regrow limbs, they are a subdivision of sages, who were lost long ago, who are at odds with technology and accept it's many uses.
-
They can be magic users but not a subrace of sages.
-
1. Through studying their opponents.
2. Extremely thick skin.
3. Their bodies produce whatever they would need.
-
1. Doesn't explain with only one battle, I'd think...
2. Approved, I suppose...
3. Er...Conservation of mass, Hawk. We cant just create the nutrition we need, which is why we eat; to take it in, you know?
-
1. They study the fight over and over again in their memories.
2. Very well.
3. Their bodies produce some of it, such as water naturally. Thus they don't need to constantly hydrate themselves.
-
Hm, approved.

Tindallin Hounds
The Hounds of Tindallos Pegasi 8 are......odd, to say the least. They are three foot tall monkey dog things that came with the Mercers from there home dimension however that is not where the Hounds originated. Simply put they are from outside of space untouched by it, it is because of this that gives them the ability to travel through edges and corners (Ex. See that table/desk that you probably have your computer on? See the corner on it? They could pop right out of that, the only warning you would have of their coming would be an odd noise.) Keep in mind this a natural ability, not a magical one. They are extremely proficient hunters, capable of pursuing their prey till the ends of earth and sometimes time. It said by Mercer folklore that at one time they served as messengers for great beings off infinite power, but in the absence of these great old ones they have lost purpose and gone mad. Of course, that's all just superstition...right? They have no culture although they have been observed speaking with each other through odd clicks and hisses as well as gestures.
-
Can't be outside Time. This was the same argument we had with Orph and his character Hound. And having something that can't die is godmodding. EVERYTHING has to be able to die somehow.
-
Technically they do die. Just not for long. Like three weeks Irl.
-
Yeaaaah. And unless they're brought back somehow it's not allowed. Because the 'outside everything' is godmodding.
-
Well, aside from their immortality, I've no problems with it. Approved, but without their immortality(unless its via another finding some way to bring them back or something).
-
Fine, changed.
Also,
Werewolves
Werewolves are the result of someone being infected by the Lycanthrope virus. Basically one is, usually, infected with the virus by being bitten, however there are other ways to become infected. After being infected the host (for this instance a human) usually spends the next two weeks in bed, in extreme pain as the virus reshapes it's hosts DNA to suit it's purposes. After those two weeks the pain goes away and the human goes back to it's usual life, until the next full moon. As soon as the light of the moon touches their skin the virus starts shaping them into a huge wolf-like being as the virus takes over. This creature then (usually) goes on a rampage, killing and infecting indiscriminately, both feeding itself and spreading the virus. After several hours the virus recedes and the werewolf returns to human form. This is not the only way one can turn, as when the host is in extreme danger the virus transforms it but allows the host to not so much control as steer the beast to protect itself. But since the virus can't exactly see what's going on it has to relay on it's host pulse to decide whether to act, resulting in werewolves transforming when enraged as well as when in danger. While in werewolf form they can use powerful blood magic though being a creature of rage they can't focus enough to use anything more complex than simple elemental spells and some forms of teleportation. Werewolves remain largely unaffected by most conventional weapons usually healing instantly, the only way to kill one is by dealing more damage to it then it can heal at once. They do have a weakness to silver however, a slug of the stuff in a vital organ (the heart for instance) putting it into a sort of suspended animation.
-
They still can't exist outside both Time AND Space. Space, okay. Time? No. It has to exist in one or the other.
-
Why not? What the hell's so bad about that?
-
Orph once said that if one existed outside of Time and Space, they'd exist outside of existence. That's a big no for a whole race.
-
The whole race is only like...maybe fifteen total, they're nearly extinct. And they're not outside of existence, they're just....not affected by it like the rest of the races, it's how they travel through angles without using magic.
-
Still. Pick one or the other, Time or Space, you can't be outside both.
-
*sigh* Outside of space then. Now, werewolves?
-
What others ways of infection?
Approved for werewolves, just wondering what other methods mainly.
Also, considering the virus reacts to their pulse, I suppose this means they change when exercising too. Must suck to be a bodybuilder werewolf when you have friends that like watching you work out. XD
-
Blood transfusions, etc. And yes it would. Not that you'd need to work out but if you did it'd suck.
-
I dunno, if you word it as that they're bound by time and space but not inside it, that just makes them like ingrounded or certain embodiments.
-
Where'd my race request go? all my posts disappear! Why?
-
Did you request it after I backed up the board last night? If so.. sorry.
-
I requested it weeks ago, and when no-one responded, I decided I'd wait for someone else to make a request. I hoped then it be noticed. But now it's just vanished. This has happened with my topics before, but never a reply.
-
Weird.. Was it deleted in the March 5th crisis?

Genies - These are humanoid life forms. Created when an Aetas was used to wish for other types of wish granters they have limits just like from myth such as the three wishes deal, well sort of. Each of these resides in a different type of container. No two containers for them are the same. Further most genies prefer Arabic style clothes. Some are cruel, others are kind. But it is rare for genies to actually open up to people at any point in time. Another thing about them is that once they grant three wishes if their host has freed them they are forced to grant 100x the normal wishes to that person. Also each of these beings has no rules they are forced to follow. In short they are allowed to do anything with their wishes once freed. But if someone comes into possession of their lamp for 24 hours they can be made slaves to that person for a year, or until they get their lamp back. Oh and as long as their lamp exists, a Genie cannot truly be killed. The lamps they are in are made out of a special material that recharges their power and is impossibly hard to destroy without the aid of something over 3 billion degrees of heat. Also genies can use magic once they are free or if their master wishes for them to assist.
-
...Doesn't this qualify as a rip of Hikaru's race?
-
Not exactly K2. Genies are different.
-
Then, I approve.
-
Just one more?
-
Denied. 100x wishes? Uh, no. You're not making a race just so you can get free stuff.
-
I agree with Hik. This seems like another tool... Denied as well.
-
Redoing them.
-
Thought it was kinda suspicious.
-
Genies- Like their counterparts from Myth genies grant wishes. But the part about 3 was wrong as instead they grant 7 wishes. They usually wear Arabian clothing and are trapped inside lamps, and are not limited by the no wishing for more wishes clause. Also they are restricted to a singular time line but can use magic in any way they see fit, no restrictions except their level. Another thing they can do is sense magical items or when those with magic are near. They have some control over their lamp namely they can make stuff on the inside. Being free is a desire of every genie. After the seventh wish genies are sucked forcibly back into the lamp. Some genies are better at certain types of wishes than others, most are just jacks of all trades in the wishing department. They don't ever tell anyone about the unlimited wishes, lying and saying there is a limit of 7 wishes.
-
Hm...Im iffy about the unlimited wishes part, but meh...Approved, but not the unlimited wishes part.
-
Denied. 100x wishes? Uh, no. You're not making a race just so you can get free stuff.
Denied... Hik's point is still valid here and still applies.
Plus, I see this as just another tool, and its no different from the one we denied earlier except you shortened it, and gave them more wishes.

Anathasiles
The Anathasiles are a race of humanoid beings that are by definition extremely NOT human. For example while humans have only one brain these beings have 3. Of course their brains are smaller but can hold more information for some reason than most races of course. Their bodies are usually muscular in the case of the males but slender in the case of the females. For the males the skin assumes a coppery tint to the skin and for the females, a pale silver tint. The males tend to be the more powerful in the terms of attack directly kinds of magicks, while the females tend to be more skilled at the subtle magics that kill a person slowly. The immune systems of these beings are so sharp they will reject any toxins or poisons of any variety immediately upon detecting them. With 3 brains they can switch between brains allowing one to store information while still having their mind clear. One of their unique abilities is to see the past like a movie in a sense. Note they have to touch someone to see their past and what has transpired. Also the Anathasiles are about as strong as Sages in magic, because of the marks on their palm which somehow act as an amplifier to them. Each mark is different, and no two marks are the same but these are on each one since birth.
The males have red markings on their backs and arms which are actually crystals that are part of their bodies and act as a hidden reservoir of sorts. Each time they use a spell, cast an enchantment or do anything with magic part of the existence that is converted and left over is diverted. The reason for this is to give them a back-up supply. Also Am fields cause an itching sensation to these beings causing them to scratch themselves until they bleed. Each is also born with a companion that is like a normal earth animal but can talk, walk and protect their master. Another thing about having 3 brains gives them a photographic memory and prevents them from repressing memories unfortunately. The bodies they have are extremely good at healing themselves and could within the span of 8 days regrow limbs or other missing bodyparts without the use of any magic.
Companions Animal like creatures that can walk and talk and use magic, these creatures are different from most as they tend to talk with more of a guttural language. Also they prefer their natural weapons or abilities and spells of nature and natural forces over normal magics. These are spirit guides just ones bound to physical vessels however and forced to live with their charges. During the first 17 years of their existence their power is extremely extremely Unstable. In short this means you don?t want one of them after you as their magic would literally rip you apart molecule by molecule, they have little to no control during those years if they are separate from their charges. To compensate for this their physical abilities in the 18th year increase as their magic becomes slowly over time more stable and they start to favor elemental type spells. Some would prefer water, others would prefer fire, it really just depends on the type of creature. Also they have the ability to be understood by their charge, and by any their charge is speaking to or fighting. Another thing they can do is transmit to the Astral temporarily and help their charge but they have a limit of 15 minutes in the Astral Plane at a time. They feed off of magical energy outbursts that are commonly done in fights for some reason. As they feed more and more they become stronger and more protective of their charge and evolve a little to a humanoid form similar to that of their charge in a few ways, but more animal than human.

Lol furries.
Approved.
-
You would, Hik..... Approvified!
My turn!
The Demented.
The Demented are a sub-classification of any magical organic race. It is in fact, added to their base race. In addition to any abilities that that certain race may have, they gain an increase in magical capability and the ability to use the Magic of the Demented. Now, as the name implies, each Demented is ?Crazy? or ?Insane? to a certain degree. This can be anything from a small unnoticeable psychological problem, to full scale insanity. The Demented also possess the unique ability to perform the ritual to enter the Realm of New Dementia, where the Embodiment of Insanity resides and rules?
-
What about a race that already has sub races? And they can't be a classification on extinct races. AND if you make a sub classification on someone elses race, you have to get their permission to make the character.
-
It's like becoming a vampire... its aquired. Like instead of being a human, you'd be a Demented-Human.
-
You didn't say they had to become one. The way you worded it sounded like there's already a class like that for every race possible.
-
Must've left it out... you can only become one through true breeding, or by being blessed by one of the Demented Priests, the current ruler of ND or the embodiment of insanity.
-
To be fair, I'd think that would just mean they'd be both that sub-classification and this one. And the other two points I'd say are obvious. :o Anyhow, I approve.
And now, my own! ...That I've been meaning to do for a loooong time...
Zet-
A by-now long extinct species, the Zet were pioneers in the fields of bio-technological systems, living on a planet known as Daltor. Despite their advances in biological research, they were a very theocratic society, calling their kingdom 'The Holy Empire'. In fact, they viewed their advancements in biological research as worship for their gods, by emulating them in their powers of creation. However, not that much was known about their society or beliefs, as they were a very reclusive people, not that it troubled anyone, considering they never seemed to attack other empires for really any reason. They just kinda kept to their own devices, moving to other worlds in their own solar system when needed for colonization and terraforming them to survive on them. They died out however, when one of their own creations, a attempt at creating a completely artificial living creature(while their other technologies relied heavily on biological research, they weren't 'living', just things like replacement organs or clones and the such), turned on them and tore apart their civilization, creating its own in the process. However, now, centuries after their extinction, there have been reports of beings very similar to them moving about other empires as though immigrated citizens...And yet, nobody knows where they came from...
Physically, the Zet were humanoid, and of the same general size. Their legs had one more joint than a human's, and instead of nails, their hands were clawed. Their skin was green, and their hair colors ranged from dull reds to vibrant blues to even bright browns. Their eyes were much less varied, usually just a black sclera with red or blue irises. They were often described as having odd in behavior on the few occasions any ever left outside of their home system, such as being confused by a compliment or reacting favorably towards higher prices when purchasing something, to name two examples. While they were known for their peculiarities, nobody seems to know what happened to them to cause their extinction...Just that any ship to pass through their old system hasn't returned, at least not with a living crew, for hundreds of years(recent times notwithstanding)...

Let's do this! I'm bringing the Solstici back with quite a few edits, so you approval guys will have to read it all over again. Yeah, I feel sorry too.
The Solstici is a race that devoutly believes any hardship, goal, and the unknown itself can be overcome by simply believing in oneself and putting all of their effort to achieving that. Unlike before, the Solstici use their Aura as their weapon.
Their Aura is directly linked to their emotions, and the size and intensity of their aura is directly equal to their spirit energy. To use their aura, the Solstici must expend a small part of their spirit energy for their aura to become a viable energy source usable for attacking for about a few weeks. Unlike magic, Aura is not restricted by elements or something as trivial as how tired someone is or their lack of energy, but they also hold no advantage over regular magic. The Solstici can do pretty fancy stuff with their aura, and even can replicate a lot of magical techniques used by other people, as well as abilities available only to the Solstici or users of Aura. However, like mentioned above, to even make use of their Aura is to chip away at their life force, their Spirit energy.
Their Aura is, again, linked to their emotions. How it does so is like any normal human being like you and me. Everyone that's alive expends an aura that is colored a certain way that is synonymous with how they live, their character, and even their current emotions. Depending on the color is the properties their aura will have whenever spirit energy is applied to it. However, everyone's aura is not dominated by purely one color, but almost every color with one being present more than the others. Although the auras themselves have no specific elements, certain ones take on their properties and how they feel (Some auras will feel hot, others cold, maybe some even shock you the moment they touch you even though they have nothing electrified about them at all.) The colors and how they affect the aura is listed below.
Purple: Comes about when the main thing anyone thinks about is life, spirituality, or anything related to it. The color is very rare. When it does so happen to appear, Aura tends to be intensified and very powerful as to reflect the intense thoughts of the person that does think about their very being and what can or will happen to it before and after death. However, there never really is enough of the purple aura to really use it as a weapon, and is considered a 'weak' color among Solstici. It's properties is completely unknown, as whenever it's used, anything it touches has absolutely no effect at all. However, it provides immense energy to other auras whenever it's applied to them.
Blue: Shows the person as a calm, relaxed, and balanced person, and make excellent unbiased teachers or public speakers. Emitters of this aura will find their aura takes on properties similar to ice and water. Blue is a good aura for a good defense and counterattacking due to the calm state of the user.
Turquoise: Very energized and people wanting to do various things all at once expend a lot of this aura. They have trouble focusing on one thing, as their aura takes on somewhat of lightning properties to amend this weakness (lightning tends to focus on one thing.), and to properly reflect the user's energetic personality.
Green: Peaceful, anyone possessing a green aura is often very restful and does not like conflict, but rather peace and quiet. The green aura doesn't really have any offensive properties, but rather focuses on healing wounds and purging the user of unwanted thoughts, mind control, and even foreign objects found in ones body. One might say a green aura's property is life itself, as those with a green aura find it very easy to grow plants and raise animals.
Yellow: The feeling of freedom and not owing anything to anyone along with joy and happiness. The properties of the yellow aura is linked to air, or wind to be more precise to reflect their will to spread their joy everywhere and to be felt by everyone.
Orange: Those that expend an orange aura are uplifting and emit a feeling of sturdiness and courage. However, it can also mean the will to control people. This aura's properties is akin to metal and earth itself to reflect their stubborn emotions, as well as to reflect the idea of being able to shape earth/metal to whatever they want to fit any ideals they need it to.
Sulphur: Like a dark mustard color of sorts, the sulphur aura is prevalent in those that use anger as their weapon and is their primary emotion. It takes fire-like properties, expressing the thought of burning everything, to destroy until they are no longer angry.
Red: Often exists in materialistic people, or those that wish to own things over anything else. This aura doesn't really have any properties, and the Solstici often look down on anyone with a red aura, citing them as weak.
Pink: Pink is the combination of both Purple and Red Auras. This is the most rare aura possible, and is almost impossible to achieve. It reflects love in all things both things of our world and spiritual, or things not of our world. There is not much known about this aura among the Solstici, as it is often unseen. However, it's properties take on something similar to a warm light, and is the most powerful of all of the auras. However, despite it's rarity, it appears in people sometimes, though it doesn't remain for long.
--- Gold: The gold aura appears only with the Pink aura, and the existence of it only comes about with certain individuals. The gold aura doesn't do anything, but signifies that those that possess it wield a certain, expert-like mastery over their aura and their thoughts.
White: The weakest aura, only appearing in those that are artificially stimulated or artificially enraged (Stim packs, drugs, or mind controlled individuals.). The Aura takes no properties at all, and actually consumes other aura colors. The only other time white appears around an individual is when they are near death, as if their spirit that held the colors has left them. Although the aura itself doesn't do anything, the Solstici benefit from increased strength or physical properties in their bodies.
Brown: A unsettling individual, the color appearing upon people that don't have faith in other people or themselves, and look down upon many things. The property to this aura is similar to a cold darkness, but unlike other auras, cannot be used for anything. It tends to blot out other colors like white, thought not as fast.
Gray: Depressive, unclear and a bad personality in general is those that hold the gray aura. Like Brown, it also holds properties like a cold darkness, but once again cannot be used. Like brown and white, Gray also tends to consume the colors of other auras. The aura can only be used in battle or anything if both gray and brown auras combined to form a single, black aura.
Black: Evil individuals, the aura comes about when Brown and Gray are combined. The cold darkness properties of an aura are very powerful, rivaling that of a pink aura if not a bit weaker. However, this power often cannot be controlled correctly or efficiently at times. The black aura is more common than it needs to be, especially in people that feel they must destroy everything in sight or only wishes to do things for their own personal gains. This aura tends to reflect that although being evil or doing bad things may get you stronger faster, in the end though, it is still beaten by those that worked harder to attain the same strength with different ideals.
Like before, Solstici still regain their spirit energy by being near celestial bodies or planets. Although instead of taking it, it regenerates by itself by just being near or in sight of the sun, moon, planets, and even people or living things. The most destructive and saddening thing one can do to a Solstici is total solitude from everything. This is what is considered 'hell' to the Solstici, unlike the popular belief among humans that pain is the worst thing.
Also like before, the Solstici do express an interest in learning more about everything, and wish to explore everything. Ever since their creation, when they learned about outer space, they worked at it continuously to be able to go up and explore it, unlike humanity or other races that only do things when they are on a payroll.
Once again, the Solstici also have been exploring various other dimensions and universes as well, and have a lot of abilities from those places to show for, often replicated through aura or sometimes their own spirit energy. Some of them go beyond the scope of whatever is usually seen in the Shattered Planes, and have odd effects in comparison to the abilities here that focus mostly on destruction.
Once again, the Solstici are simplistic in appearance, but contain strong convictions to plow through whatever it is that troubles them. They are not full of themselves, but just long to better themselves. However, this time they CANNOT take whatever appearance they want to because of their race, but they still have this ability (They just have to expend a bit of their auras to do it. What auras are used is dependent on the race they take the appearance of, as the most common colors among the race are needed to take their looks.). Their original look though, defaults to one of two appearances, a gold, shining wolf or a luminous, moon-like wolf (http://yuumei.deviantart.com/art/Wolves-of-Moon-and-Sun-87224420). It is unknown as to why their original appearances take these two forms, but their appearance seems to be akin to what celestial bodies they regenerate the most spirit energy with. Moon-like solstici, like their appearance, regenerate near moons, and Sun-like solstici regenerate near suns. They both regenerate the same amount when near other solstici, people or living beings, planets, etc.
Like before, Solstici have no home planet on the Shattered Planes. They live wherever they want or where they think they'll learn more from if they so happen to live there. Because of their ability to take on whatever appearance they want, they can live completely undetected with other races.
Finally, to summarize. (TL;DR)
The Solstici are much like before, but this time revolve around their auras and how they use them. They still look like wolves, but now have two different appearances: a sun-like wolf and a moon-like wolf. They once again can take any appearance they want, but have to use their aura to do it and they can also replicate things like magic and fancy techniques as well. They also have their abilities from other universes, dimensions, and realities that they can use in the Shattered Planes as well. They still have the desire to know and to achieve impossible things.
For those wanting a comparison, I'll kindly quote the original race request, as maybe a bit of the feeling of what I was going for with this race may have been lost with the changes.
They can take on any appearance they wish to, but their real look actually defaults to wolf-like creatures that look as if made of ice, which also changes color depending on whatever element they use.
This race can be used by anyone except Hawkeye.

Oooh, so like a mood-ring type race. Sounds wicked. Kinda reminds me of a book series I once read too, Seventh Tower. Each sunstone on it had different abilities to colors like red ray of destruction and such. The idea always seemed awesome.
Anyways, approved.
-
Hm...I like it. Very cool. And dont feel bad about making it long, after all, it was a very good read!
Approved.
Also, just saying, I need one approval for my race above the Solstici(just dont want it to get buried).

Zai... I can't believe you... You made werewolf hippies... in space.....

They're not werewolves! xD
And the aura colors are actually real stuff, along with the moods they go with and everything. I just added properties of certain things to them. Srsly.

Obviously I went with more or less the second one since it had a lot more information. There's also a science for Aura too, but I couldn't be bothered to find it. If it were up to me, I'd move love to Red or something and make pink the useless one, and white being an all powerful one. But I decided to go with what I had.

For some reason I thought they were werewolves... I don't know why... Hrn....
Still space hippies.

Can they still be hippies if they don't take drugs and aren't into that whole 'free your mind' sort of thing? ._.;

Zet-
A by-now long extinct species, the Zet were pioneers in the fields of bio-technological systems, living on a planet known as Daltor.
Sorry, I somehow missed this. Approved.

Deathwalker (Vlerdok (vlair-dock))
Vlerdok is a forgotten name. They came from the long dying planet of Qitzvuun thousands of generations before the sages discovered this dimension, and embarked on a large scale conquest amongst the stars. Why did they do this? One simple reason: hunger. The Vlerdok are carnivores that will eat just about anything (except their own kind), but if whatever they are eating is magical then it is much more satisfying.
At the hight of the Deathwalker conquest, the other large empires at the time decided they needed to join together rather than all be annihilated by the Deathwalkers. After a great deal of intense fighting, the Deathwalkers were defeated. As punishment for their crimes, they were all sterilized and locked inside their own main ship. The ship was then placed in a newly formed sun. There had been a Deathwalker prophecy saying that the Vlerdok would take everything in the existing universe if their leader not stopped by a good one who's life had been flipped. This didn't happen, and the prophecy itself has been attributed to Vlerdok arrogance.
Deathwalker magic comes from a soul, much like a sage, but anatomically speaking it is unrecognizable. Not only is it also in a different location while having a different appearance, but it also bleeds a little bit of magic into the other innards. Considering the fact that finding a Deathwalker with even a magic level of 1 is comparatively rare, residual magic is very little.
Deathwalkers are a flat black color, but are covered in glossy black exoskeletal plates. They are seven feet tall when standing normally, but they do have a sort of hunched back and triple jointed legs. They have seven fingers on each hand. They have three toes on each foot. Their eyes are always red, black, or a shade of yellow. They have a tail. The bull males, besides being a bit bigger than the rest, have six crest like spines running down their back in two rows. the alpha males were tribal leaders in the early, early precivilized days. Their teeth are shaped like thin knives with rounded fronts. They're designed for killing.
I don't know what else to say besides that they were formidable enemies.
Cruflbngurs (crif-el-bun-gers)
Cruflbngurs are some of the silliest creatures you will ever meet. They are basically mole people. They are 4 feet tall, and have arms the exact same length. Their legs are stubby little things, and they have three toes. They also have mole like digging claws. They have big eyes that help them see in the dark. They're teeth are mostly molars, with a few incisors in the front. The reason for this is mainly because they mainly eat roots. They can sprint at forty miles an hour if nessisary.
They live in the tunnels of ***, and rarely leave. The few who have left their home world became unexplainably sad, and stop eating and sleeping until they died. Normally they are quite jolly little critters, but they often lack in intelligence. They are very friendly little things.
The reason they tunnel is because the surface of *** is covered with predators. When the Heliphlein first landed on *** they had a hard time coping with the everyday life. They now have several cities, and have hired many Cruflbngurs for physical labor.
The Cruflbngurs vary between magical and nonmagical. It's very rare that you find one that knows he's magical.
Iapaq (aye-uh-pack)
The Iapaq were a proud race of proud intelligence before their home became part of the Heliphlein empire. They delved into the art of study early on, and that kept their 3 nations from war. They developed some of the most advanced computer systems in the universe, as well as cures for virtually all diseases that had ever plagued them. When the Heliphlein showed up, war broke out. Sadly, because the Iapaq guns took advantage of the fact that they were cold blooded, they were relatively ineffective against the Heliphlein. The Iapaq then figured out how to hack into the Heliphlein technologies, and gained a major foothold. Unfortunately for them, the Heliphlein regained the upper hand by only using non computerized weaponry. The Iapaq were driven to near extinction because their leaders were proud and relentless, but eventually they were rebelled against. The remaining Iapaq joined the Heliphlein empire.
Iapaq are an average of six to seven feet tall. They have triple jointed legs and a hunch in their back. Their head has a helmet like shell that is both reminiscent of an ammonite and a ram's horns, but the head cannot pull back into the shell. Their eyes look like glossy black marbles. They're what many people would think of as beady little eyes. They have a more turtle like shell on their back, but only the back and not the chest. They reproduce asexually, and speak with harsh sounds that a human can't make. They could potentially learn to speak English if raised from birth around it, but they would still have a thick "accent." If you looked at their feet in a skeletal form then you would think they have twelve toes, but in reality it is just one large flexible toe that wraps around the round front of the foot. They are thin creatures but they can be some of the best hand to hand fighters in the galaxy.
They, like humans, are nonmagical, but they make up for it in other manners.
Thougasm (thaw-gaz-um)
A thougasm is not race: it is a form of mind. It is a simpler form of mind that generally appears in older races.
A thougasm only contains half the potential of a regular mind. This limit an individual from developing well either mentally, emotionally, or even magically. There are always exceptions to this ideology, however. One thing that made the Vlerdok so devastating was that they, on average, used 2/10 of their thougasm's potential.
Having a thougasm can be limiting in some places, but there is a very large advantage to it: mental privacy. Any mental attack on a thougasm is ineffective. A thougasm is so primitive that attacks of that sort will not function once they have entered it. This means that telepaths cannot read them, and even the strongest of psychic, skull bursting attacks will give them little more than a bad headache.
Cruflbngurs have thougasms, and it has been debated that if thy didn't then they wiuld be more mentally sufficient

What're the Heliphlien?
Rest approved. Hm...Wonder who's win between the Deathwalkers and my Locusts...COLLISEUM TIME! *goes off to make challenge*

Heliphlein are my Empire's main race.

Figured I should request my race yo;
Templars
The Templars were once known throughout the universe as the protectors of time, keeping those who would abuse Time Travel at bay. Known as a peaceful race, they took on students from other races who seemed capable with their ways and used their abilities to transform them into their own. Often united under one "elder" leader, the Templars always remained independent of any wars or feuds that didn't attempt to directly interfere with the flow of time. However, thousands of years ago the Templars had practically disappeared from existence; They had faded into nothing but pure legend. There are sometimes whispers of time travelers sometimes saving small worlds that had eventually evolved into large empires and such however they are just considered to be strong magical forces that had just lost their mind.
Many Templars are capable of advanced time manipulating techniques and seemingly do not age.
Tell me if I need more on them, cheers :)

Just one question.
A while back before I brought in the embodiment. Time had been locked thanks to something K2 and Kai did a while back in the story. This just meant no one could time travel and the embodiment only had half her powers. Recently time was unlocked so that's not in place.
But for the time it was locked, what became of your race/how did it affect them, etc? Just need to know that so it ties into the story.
-
During that time much of the race were wiped out by an unknown entity. Any that were left remained with their eternal life span but were only capable of brief teleportation and weak time control powers. After time was restored to its normal flow they returned to full power.

Approved. Need one more approval before use.

Approvified

Cheers, i'll put some stuff up in the Grimoire to better explain the Templar's abilities.

I wanna ride in a Tardis =o
Approved, Thunder.

Thank you!
And I think we all want to ride in a Tardis!

Locked because there's now a forum. Feel free to either leave your already approved ones here or go post topics for them in the accepted races section. Personally, I'm doing the latter.
