Wasn't ever going to define this, as the katana is from like ages ago..., but with Gaser reverse-engineering it, I now kinda have no choice. So let's watch me put this up, and watch it be called out for total godmodding. ... But the katana is IC been for ages, so...I don't know what will happen.
Scindalyzite (Don't ask, Put a bunch of words together with suffix -ite. Might need to be -ium, not sure.)
A one-of-a-kind crystalline material from the sage dimension. It can physically cut through, ANYTHING, and I mean anything. It's been known to cut through spells, shields, energy, any physical material. Mostly known for it's use on AM Cuffs/Shackles, though. The only thing it's so far seen not to be able to cut through, is Spirit Energy, but that's only because that hasn't been tested yet.
It's also very magical. It can be used as a medium for almost any magic you focus to it. This usually increases its effects or adds them to it. Such as, if you light it on fire, it will become pure fire, with the ability to still cut, coupled with the fires abilities. Revelation magic? It will morph to pure revelation magic. Spirit Energy? Same. When the magic is dispersed, the material returns to normal.
It's also extremely light, and weighs next to nothing. If compared, it's about as heavy as a feather. (This explains how a phoenix bird could hold it in it's talons without added weight.)
Its color takes a prismal color, and usually focuses on the spirit signature of the person. So if their usual color is red? guess what, the material will be red. In the case of it being used by more than one person, or used on say... a ship. It will take a multi-spectrum of colors. Not rainbow, but not a focused color either, it'll change depending on certain things around it. A lot like the gemstone known as Alexandrite. (Look it up.)
Now... as for origins... Fuck, I don't know.

Approved, but again, Gaser mass producing it is out of the question, to powerful of a material to just mass produce.

If it's approved, doesn't it fall under other tech of others? Personal approval by the person that created/brought it in?

Yes, but that doesn't allow for you to just approve it without thinking of if it's to powerful and the likes.
