Who? The squad.
When? 2147 AD
Where? The planet of Cardonis
Setting: The planet of Cardonis is a peaceful colony world in Alpha Centauri. But out of nowhere they are attacked by a separatist/terrorist group know as the Shattenkrieg. They get out a distress signal to the near bye military base on the planet Styx. The protagonists are a group of special operation soldiers who are part of the relief force. they go to Cardonis, defeat the Shattenkrieg, and celebrrate victory. In two days the Archive attack for an unknown reason and our protagonist have to fight them off. They manage to hold their position. Then reports of the Archive searching the planet come up. The Archive start digging and then our protagonists have to stop them from uncovering whatever they are trying to uncover. It turns out that the Archive are digging up some sort of ancient artifact. Our protagonists end up stopping the Archive and the USC starts to uncover it on their own. (The artifact may or may not be a beacon of an ancient civilization which causes some aliens to attack in another book or something)
Factions:
Faction Name: United Systems Coalition
Faction Description: This government developed from the UN. When space travel was first introduced, the UN reformed its constitution to reform to the new areas. hence the USC was born.

Faction Description: A group of separatists who wish for the USC to back off and go back to the original colonies.

Faction Name: Archive
Faction Description: A technologically advanced faction, they are tech worshippers. They originally started as a cult on Mars, but then they grew to be a fully fledged group on the galactic plane. They are a theocratic-fascist state, who are assaulting the rest of humanity and hoping to bring them into their hive node.
Additional Information: They have the most advanced technology of all the three factions. They make great use of robots, AI, and other technological developments such as advanced laser technology. The laser tech they use is basically plasma tech.
Technology:
Warp Drive: = FTL it opens a hole is space/time and goes to its destination. Shields that deflect kinetic weapons are standard. Kinetic weapons are also standard. Mostly coilguns for the humans and Maviki, as well as the rarer laser weapons of the Coveyans.
Terraforming takes at least a decade, and sometimes more depending on the planet.
The main form of laser is a weapon the uses a volatile projectile using ionized gas. This is used by the Shatternkrieg and sometimes the
USC: Mid sized ships. Use a Cantorium/Vizion alloy. The hardest known substance. Use coilguns and plasma bolts. Have shields that can deflect plasma bolts and projectiles.
Shattenkrieg: small, shielded ships with plasma based weaponry.
Archive: all sizes of robotic fighters, mechanized soldiers and vehicles. Advanced AI, as well as well as advanced laser technology allowing far more powerful laser beams than those of the USSC.
Previous History:
2013: The War on Terror collapses, with the UN coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but the United
Arabian Emirates comes in to deal with the terrorists.
2014: China has a massive revolution leading towards a free democracy.
2017: The US goes through a rough time of change and is challenged by both the European Union, which formed a united government, and China.
2020: WWIII erupts when the US ‘accidentally’ fires a nuke at China.
2023: WWIII Ends with China being defeated by both the US and the EU. China is severely depopulated.
2027: Israel and the many Islamic countries finally come to a peace agreement. The Jew-Islamic pact is formed.
2035: The first retro-produced dinosaur is created, much to the fear of Jurassic Park viewers everywhere. The first terraforming technology is formed.
2040: The Eastern Asian counties form a central government; the EAC (Eastern Asian Coalition) is formed.
2041: The US, EU and EAC begin to terraform the moon.
2051: The US, EU and EAC colonize the moon.
2062: The USC is formed to make sure the colonies are included. Each continent has its wn central government.
2072: The USC begins to terraform Mars.
2084: The USC begins to colonize Mars.
2112: The USC splits into 3 different groups. The seperatistic Shattenkrieg, the unionist USC and the techno-religious Archive.
