Title: R & R
Post by: UnStellar on January 08, 2010, 12:17:03 PM
Benjamin, in his weakness, had to use the crowded channels of the Telepitus itself, and thus was suspended in the rushing space for a while.

He thought about that which he had just done. It didn't bother him. He didn't like being the Legacy Empire's lackey but he had his reasons. He had no qualm destroying sentient trees. When all was said and done, it was kind of fun. Benjamin landed at his destination.

A small willow tree stood in a row. There was a variety of trees all in a straight line. They all had carvings on them. The sun was close to setting, it was near dark, and thus no Imbellis was in the area.

Benjamin knew if he was at full power the Imbellis would detect him immediately and try to remove him from the planet. But in his weakened state he was not identified as a threat. The carving on the tree before him read: "Nikariam Mornheld" It was followed by her birthday and day of death.

The Imbellis believe that when a person's body dies, their inner magic is slowly released to the objects around them, which is why they plant trees at the grave instead of stone. Whether that was true or not, Benjamin always felt resting near the tree and talking to it helped him.

He set his hand on the trunk. "Hey baby... I'm back." He then collapsed in front of the tree where Nikariam was buried, slowly gathering back his magic energy.

Poke.

Poke poke.

Poke.

If anyone passed by they would see a man poking an unconcious native of Pax with a sheathed katana, it seemed that he was bored. As if he was just walking around and happened upon the sleeping male. "Ooo, a dead species I have yet to meet.. I wonder if I can resurrect it." The katana wielding mad man said aloud to himself, with a wave of his hand the dirt above the body exploded upwards filling the nearby area with soil. The clouds above seemed to grow darker, not a sound could be heard.. It seemed that all the animals had left the nearby area.

"Eno daed esira." The mad man chanted the word backwards, a dark light shining from his eyes, black smoke exiting his mouth like a sentient fog. Flying through the air lazily towards the dead body that was now uncovered. "Arise dead one." He continued, the words now in their proper order. The black smoke now beginning to enter the corpse through the mouth, with each small amount of smoke that entered the dead body it seemed to be more..more alive. Decayed tissue regenerating, mold and scavenging insects seemed to disappear.

Before long there was a perfectly healthy body in a grave, it seemed that whoever it was, was just unconcious. "Hm.. I've resurrected the body.. Now to return the spirit." The apparent Necromancer announced, producing a vial of viscous red liquid from his pockets. It seemed to be blood, but it was too syrupy..

"Uoy ot llac I." He chanted once more, pouring the blood like mixture over the body. Every time a drop hit the alive yet dead person a pulse of energy went through the land, it was a beacon. A beacon to the dead. "I call to you." The Necromancer said the chant in it's true order.

"Wake up." He sa- no ordered the person laying in the grave, not even a second goes by before the body begins to breath and opens its eyes.

(I are in your planets, resurrecting people.)

As the soil was misplaced and the dead rose, Alexander was shoved to the side, which roused him.

"Hmm? Wha-" He was shocked by what he saw.

"Oh, it seems that I am able to resurrect members of this species.. Unlike aardvarks, I have no idea why I cannot bring those fluffy little things to life." The Necromancer muttered to himself, keeping the empty vial in the pose of pouring he seemed to look solemn. "Peels ot kcab og." He chanted, the black smoke and bloody syrup began to move back to their original position. With each amount that left the newly resurrected being it decayed more. Going back to death. "Go back to sleep." He chanted, the body now fully dead. The spirit once more gone. The vial full, and the smoke in it's home. With a slight wave of his hand the soil once again covered the body.

"Oh hello, excuse me. I was just seeing if I could resurrect this species. You see I'm a Necromancer.." The mad man announced, looking at Benny-boy with a demented smile. "If you wish I could un-un-resurrect her."

"N-N-Nikar...i...am...." Benjamin swooned and fell over again, out cold, still exhausted.

A Clone of Gallaghar appeared near Benjamin "Next Assignment.  You are to go to Novasia and put the Flag of the Legacy Empire in the ground there and make sure it can never be removed by any means currently in existence."

The Clone then vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

Benjamin awoke with a start when Gallaghar left, not hearing his new orders. He gripped his head, as if remembering a dream. "So... Realistic. Nikariam raised from the dead... Ugh." he stood and stretched, popping his back. "Ahhh... Much better." He turned to his wife's grave tree.

"Well, dearest, I got to go. Thank you for giving me strength." His rest had restored his powers. He bent over and kissed the trunk.

"I may as well check on Nosvasia." He opened his book and used it's power to transport off-planet.

"Oh she was." The Necromancer interjected, poking him a few times with his sheathed katana.

"But I un-resurrected her."
