Out of the Hell Gate, Hikaru walked, back into the grounds of Mortality's Plane's. One glance at her surroundings and Hikaru knew where she was. It was the participants area. It looked like the match hadn't even started yet. So all she could do was wait. But with Gaserlake there? In a normal tournament, people that weren't participants wouldn't be allowed in this area. But then again, this was Hell.
Sighing to herself, Hikaru surveyed the room further, where was everyone? Was this really all that was left? Herself? That couldn't be, she had to have an opponent. And Celesite and Nisorin were back on the mortal plane. But other than that? Was this it? She truly had been a way too long. The once filled tournament, was now down to her, her opponent, and the Lertises.
"Looks like Lucifer is getting his way..." Hikaru mumbled aloud to herself. "Four people left..." Continuing to glance around, Hikaru tried to figure out what happened with each match, where the people would be as of now, who could have won, and who could have lost. Where was Koty? His son, Vincent, Rogue, and his servant? And that Alchemist, just where was he? Wait a minute... "Hold on..." Hikaru looked right and left, rather quickly, trying to figure out something. "Kieth.. he was with Celestie, but then..." Hikaru thought for a moment.
"My father... or ...Kieth... Who could have won, who could have lost...?!" Hikaru punched the closest wall to her. Her fist hitting the material of hell and leaving a light dent into it. "God dammit!" God Dammit, was right. While Hikaru was stick 'playing' with the damn Aralangs and being their prisoner, life was passing by, and she couldn't tell what was going on anymore. The tournament, where people were, everything of the outside world. Dammit, just dammit! Hikaru leaned her head against her fist that was still resting on the wall.
-
Gaserlake was in awe when he stepped in. He has already seen what it's like by reading Hikaru's memories, but actually experiencing is another thing. He then smelled the scent of the pudding Lucifer left behind. He put his finger into the pudding, and scooped some up, and took a try. This is Hell, so this might be bloody dangerous, but hey, that's a reason WHY he would do it. He took a taste. He liked it and made a satisfied sound. He began eating more of it, while he listened to Hikaru. When Hikaru was done, he was done eating. "Have you tried this, Hikaru?" he asked. "It's really good. It tastes like dead people. You should try this. Looks like Hell has good taste."
-
Quickly remembering she wasn't alone, Hikaru re-gained her composure and motioned to the chairs of the participants area. "Match hasn't even started yet, this was the participants area, or what's left of them." She pointed to the viewing screens of Hell, mainly the stands it showed as well as empty arena. "That's the audience stands. And..." Hikaru pointed to the cart of Hell pudding, and other Hell treats in the room. "I wouldn't trust the foo-" Hikaru stopped, noticing he was already eating it and sighed, finishing what she was going to say. "...Lucifer may have done something to it..."
Taking a seat on one of the benches, Hikaru looked appalled as she muttered sarcastically to herself, "...I don't think I even want to know how the hell he knows what dead people taste like.."
-
"Well, I don't see anything wrong with it. Well, you might not like the ingredients," he said. He then smiled. "Oh, at this point, you probably wouldn't want to know how I found that out." He then turned serious. "Oh yeah. Almost forgot. Now that we're in Hell, I can explain to you what I meant back in Aralia just before we came here. I told Leserlake that I might not be back, because you might realize a loophole. I said that you have to come with me and that you have to protect me if I can't survive otherwise. I didn't say that we have to go back to Aralia." He then took it into deep thought. "So... you've got me. You can keep me in here for eternity, while you could just teleport yourself without me. Hell... I didn't say that you can ONLY go to Hell, meaning you can just go anywhere you like."
-
Hikaru's eyes widened at his revelation, then she quickly looked back at the floor, trying not to let her surprise show. "Then why would you...." She stammered, then looked at him. "Why did go along with it then? You could have added that when you thought of it, but you didn't, why?" Hikaru shook her head, shaking off the shock, as she further thought about it. "Besides.. I'm not stupid. There's still the other one. And even then..." She held her hand up and glanced at her wrist to the metal bracelet hidden beneath the sleeve of her shirt."You'd just try to find me again..." Hikaru dropped her hand back into her lap and sat back against the back of the bench, continuing to stare at the floor.
-
Gaserlake walked to Hikaru. "The beacons, yes. That's why I brought this," he said as he took out the beacon-remover.
-
Shock showing once again, for only a split second, Hikaru looked back up to see the device. What the hell? What was going on here? "Again, I ask why," Hikaru replied. "If you figured that out, why did you go along with it instead of adding that in after? Why did you bring that thing?" Hikaru shook her head again, not understanding any of it. "At first, I would think you're letting me go. But then why go through all the trouble of making me bring you? Why continue to add conditions and take advantage of the contract? Why didn't you just rip it up before then if you're letting me go? And why... even allow the contract to be destroyable in the first place?" Hikaru suddenly stood up, and looked him dead in the eyes. "Just what the hell is your game?!"
-
"I have lived for over fifteen billion years, Hikaru. There has to be a reason why I lived that long. And the reason? I went with life. I went with things. I went with the flow. It's like Chess, if you every played it. You go with things, and then it all lays out for you, as if you planned the whole thing to happen, while in reality, it's just ironic, or coincidence, or an accident, or any combination of the three. It's like adapting to everything. You don't plan too far. You just plan what's going to be immediate." He then smiled. "They say life isn't a game. It may or may not be, but regardless, you treat it like a game, but you don't just stupidly waste your life away. I've learned all of this the hard way, Hikaru. You've got the easy way of learning. Next step it to actually do it."
-
Hikaru's glare narrowed as he explained, and she looked downright pissed off when he had finished. "Don't tell ME life is a game!" She snarled. "I saw my family die by my own blood stained hands, manipulated by someone I thought was a friend. I killed countless because I was led to believe I had to. I ripped my brothers lives away from them, and tore our family apart. I spent years with the guilt, and falling deeper into insanity. Yet, you dare stand there, and preach to me to take it like a game?! Fuck you!" Hikaru shouted, throwing her hand out to her side in a maddened gesture. She lightly shook with anger, as every inch of her vibrated with her frustration.
"I don't play games. Someone tries to control or make a pawn out of me? I'll break that control. Fate and unforseen occurences, these may be what leads us to do the things we do, and the actions we commit. But my brothers and I are outside of that. We've lived through things we shouldn't have! We've learned things we shouldn't know, done stuff that should have been impossible, and been a part of things we never should have been in the middle of. We've played with death, cheated Lucifer, partnered with gods, and walked on the sides of embodiments! And still, we listen to no one. Fate? We are no pawns. WE DEFY FATE!"
Going silent, for a few mere seconds, Hikaru calmed down enough, to continue. "Fine, try to play your game, try to act like you influenced my actions like a controlling force. I'll break it and do the opposite." Sitting back down, Hikaru crossed her arms and closed her eyes. "I WON'T exploit the loophole."
-
"Life it tough. Games aren't always fun. And I don't? I must defy fate countless times." He grinned. "How would you know if not exploiting loophole is the opposite of what I want?"
-
That did it. Hikaru looked back up at him, fire surrounding the golden iris of her eyes. "A game not being fun, would be something simple as a small loss. But no, my life wasn't a fucking game. We went through things no kids, sage or not, should have had to go through, and lost ourselves in the end... We may have obtained power, reputation, and the multitude of other things we are known for, but what the hell good is that, if we lost our normal lives in the process?!" Hikaru stopped, lowering her eyes, she quickly realized that in her anger she had blurted out every feeling she had towards the things that happened, admitted her real opinion on matters, and let slip the false act she put up. Well, it was too late now.
"Again, don't tell ME life is a game." Hikaru looked away, attempting to calm herself and forget what she had said. "I'm not doing the opposite of what you want. Obviously you want want to return. But with what you said, you're following what happens, which would be exploiting the loophole, according to MY personality. But because you're doing that, I'll do the opposite and do what you wanted to begin with, but not because you want it, because I refuse to be predicted."
-
"I never said life was a game, did I? I said to treat it like one. Life is harsh, I know. My parents were killed. What did I do? Play it like a damn game. I went for payback, and I succeeded." Gaserlake laughed. "Predictability. Yes. That's another thing. You have to be unpredictable, so you're hard to beat."
-
"Shut up." Hikaru's said lowly, as her eyes narrowed. "Just, SHUT UP!" Standing up, Hikaru walked across the room and took the farthest seat away from him, then continued her silence, marking the end of the discussion.
-
He walked away to the snack stand while he tossed the beacon-removing device behind him at Hikaru. It didn't matter if she caught it, didn't care, or if she even threw it at him.
-
Hikaru heard the clatter of the device as it fell to the floor and glanced at it. She knew she was going to regret this later, but Hikaru didn't like being controlled. Nor did she like being predicted to the point it seemed like control. Her choices were her own, dammit! And whether he predicted them or not, she was not going to be part of a game! The idea of that annoyed her even more than the damn Aralang's and contract.
Sighing to herself as she thought over her decision, Hikaru quickly made up her mind and formed a ball of violet flames, god fire, in her hand. Taking aim, she threw it at the device, and watched as it burned. Well, it was too late for regrets now.
-
After trying every type of snacks -- which all were good -- he sat down to the nearest seat to him, which was the farthest from Hikaru. She actually meant it, when she destroyed the device, but it didn't surprise Gaserlake. He already knew by now that she's stubborn. Maybe she'll change her mind later on. He curled up like a cannonball and went into sleep.
-
Hikaru took one last glance over to him, before returning her eyes to staring at the floor. Well apparently he trusted her.. Since when do you sleep in front of your enemy? Or was this a trick too? Hikaru couldn't be sure, but whatever it was, it didn't matter. She hadn't planned to do anything anyways. ...Or had she? Pointing her finger to the trays of pudding, Hikaru levitated the mess of glop and hovered it over his head, then releasing her hold, she watched as it fell.
Before the reaction started, Hikaru had closed her eyes and entered meditation.
-
He sensed the tray come over at him, which woke him up, but he didn't move. He didn't bother to dodge the trays and the pudding. When the pudding and the trays fell on him, he got up and shook the pudding off like a dog would shake itself dry. He went back to his seat, curled up like a cannonball and went back to sleep.
-
Several minutes later as Hikaru meditated, a thin aura of crimson stained gold surrounded her, slowly turning to violet, then back to crimson gold, and repeated that pattern. Her signature began to raise slowly, then quicker. Just like her brothers, it raised ten-fold, to the thousands, the ten-thousands, the millions, and passed that to higher than the normal magic user could conceive. Hikaru's hair stood on end at the power, her clothes rippled, and the energy started to spark and crackle around her. Yet, still her power raised, further and further, as she meditated to surpass her limits, releasing everything. Revelation, Genesis, Phoenix, even her common magic, all of it into one aura of immense and immeasurable power.
-
Due to the massive magic signature spike, Gaserlake woke up. He looked to Hikaru and saw her meditating. He noticed the aura, which was pretty damn powerful. She was definitely meditating deeply. He then got up and left the room to explore the area.
-
The aura around her began to pulse ever so slightly as it twisted and warped, changing its shape. The sides expanded outward around Hikaru to form the shape of wings still in aura form, the bottom flowed around her, like the long tail feathers of a phoenix, and the top flowed upwards. Then in an instant, it all converged inward, towards the area of her body that held her soul, and flashed in a small spark of light that radiated her signature all throughout Hell, then it was gone. Hikaru's body collapsed where she had sat, falling across the seats in a deadened like sleep.
-
Gaserlake detected the magic signature anomalies. He went back to check on what was happening. "Oh, for fuck's sake, Hikaru!" he said to himself after he found her lying on the bench. He checked to see if she was okay. No pulse, no breathing. Seems like she died... in Hell? It doesn't really make much sense. If this was suicide, Hikaru's a bloody hypocrite. "Oh, no no no!" Gaserlake said. He reached for a device and took it out.
It was a medical device that does CPR. He pulled her left sleeve up, strapped the device around her, and activated it. It sent signals to the heart and the lungs to operate. At the same time, it would monitor the progress. "Shit!" Gaserlake cried out after the device showed that no progress was being made. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
-
Appearing quietly behind Gaserlake, Asura floated in the air, sitting sideways on her staff with her feet hanging off it, like a witch would hang from a broom or ledge. One glance of the area, told her she was in Hell, and another glance to to the ground, and Asura blinked it shock at the scene before her eyes. "What did you do to her?!" Asura demanded to know, promptly jumping off of her staff and landing behind Gaserlake.
-
Gaserlake turned around to see Asura, a bit nervous, even a slight state of panic was heard in his voice. "I didn't do anything! I went out, came back in, and saw her like this!" He went down and removed the failed device. "Does it make sense to die in Hell?"
-
"Only if Lucifer kills you." Asura replied in a perfectly normal attitude, as if it was an every day thing. Asura cocked her head a bit and looked to Gaserlake, then to Hikaru, then back to him. "She's not dead. Her timeline is still vibrantly aglow, that's how I found her. But what the hell were you doing to her just now? I come back to give omen, and I find you using technology on the very person that would kick your ass for doing so." She gave him a look of skepticism. "Do you have a death wish?"
-
Gaserlake nodded at her answer. "No, but it certainly does seem like it, doesn't it?" He smiled.
-
Asura crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "You really know nothing of the magic side of things. To actually thing she's dead?" Asura shook her head. "Just wait, she should be back soon. Not even someone of her power can sustain spiritual form that long." Taking her fingers to her her mouth, Asura whistled, as her staff came down at her call. Hopping back onto it, Asura used it as a chair, keeping her eyes trained upon Hikaru.
Several minutes later of waiting, a convergence of energy flashed above Hikaru, the energy falling over her and retaining the aura around her body. Then slowly, Hikaru opened her eyes and sat up, retaking her sitting position. Hand to her head, she instantly rubbed her temples and groaned, now suffering the after effects of her spell. "Must remember to keep Astral Projection shorter next time..." Hikaru mumbled to herself, before removing her hand from her head to see Gaserlake and Asura. ..... Wait? Hikaru looked at Gaserlake, he was a bit too closer than he originally was.... And Asura?
"You look different..." Hikaru muttered to Asura, promptly standing up and taking a chair farther away from Gaserlake. Keeping as much distance as possible between herself and him.
-
"Hikaru!" Gaserlake jumped. "Don't you ever scare me like that again!" He then grinned to assure her no harm done.
"Anyway, what the hell happened?"
-
Hikaru gave a look of pure 'wtf,' at Gaserlake, then looked back at Asura. "None of your business," she snapped.
Laughing for a second, Asura soon stopped to answer Hikaru. "Time has been unlocked, I have my full control back, which is why I now look like this. My true form, or at least the one I wish to take. But that happened after you had fell comatose. Your brother had to take your place, the one called Kai." Asura then looked a bit worried. "He and the other one are the reason I have returned, there are things that are happening, and you, your brothers, the Sage Three are in the middle of it."
"Joy," Hikaru skeptically laughed. "So Kai unlocked it?" Hikaru stood up, and walked over to the center of the room away from the benches, her walk had a bit of a stumble in it as she stepped, which gained a gasp of surprise from Asura, But Hikaru just held up a hand to silence her. "Keep talking, I'm listening, but I'll give my comments after I take care of something."
Asura nodded, "Yes, well. K2323 turned into a dragon at loss of control of his magic, your other brother, Kai, joined him. But then Fate intervened."
Hikaru raised an eyebrow as she held her other hand up, her left hand, which seemed to be holding something, as she had used her right to rub her temple with. "Fate?"
"Yes." Asura nodded once again. "Fate made your brother his successor. And K2323 inherited the entirety of that title at the time. And as you already know..."
"Kai is controlled by our grandfather, Chaos." Hikaru finished, holding her left hand out and opening it to reveal a sphere of energy. Focusing on the energy, she began to use magic to will it back to its truest form. The energy began to twist and take shape, to a stack of books numbering at about ten to fifteen. But atop the books was something else, the teleporter band, which resembled the appearance of a digital watch, but with the screen showing location coordinates instead of the time. Dropping the stack of books onto the bench, Hikaru picked up the watch-like band. "So Fate and Chaos..." She muttered. "Is that all you have to tell?"
"No..." Asura replied, watching Hikaru actually pick up a piece of technology willingly. "Kai and K2323 have left. K2323 to go help Destruction, the one you call Koty, in the upcoming war of embodiments. Kai... To build an army with Anarchy at the lead, on the other side of the war."
"Figures." Hikaru glanced at the band with distaste and prepared to throw it against the wall.
-
"Wait! What is that?" Gaserlake asked. "Wasn't that what you used?"
-
"Kai himself said that by the end of all this, You may be the only sage left..." Asura informed. "I... Time is supposed to be neutral, in all affairs, as Time governs the living, the dying, the winning, the losing, all of it. No matter what happens, Time still goes on. But... " Asura looked at Hikaru, watching as the sage prepared to throw the band. "Neutrality in this case, may be the worst thing for existence. So, here is the news, my omen. In your brother K2323's own timeline, it was revealed that Plex, the prize of this tournament, is alive."
Hikaru stopped what she was doing to look at Asura in shock, but completely ignoring Gaserlake, still. "Alive? Lucifer's giving something alive?"
"Lucifer does not know." Asura snapped her finger and a barrier of time surrounded the three of them, keeping sound outside of it unable to reach, and vice versa. "Again, Time is supposed to be neutral, I shouldn't be revealing these things, as K2323 and the others with him..." Asura glanced at Gaserlake for a second as she said this, "should have forgot. But, times... they are changing, we are entering a troubled era. The things found out in the personal timeline, may succeed, and Kai did say to look after you. Therefore.." Asura looked at Hikaru very seriously, "Plex is alive, it will attempt to kill Destruction, Koty; and he will try to stop it. Once that happens, your brother in his timeline was the successor. Where your children were, to be unable to take the title? We can only believe that they were destroyed as well.."
Dropping the band to the ground, Hikaru looked at Asura, focusing all of her attention on the embodiment. "Are you entirely sure of this? Could it not have been something different? Koty? Die?! Is that even possible?!!" Her expression turned to one of pure pain filled terror.
Asure held up a hand, to symbolize silence. "We don't know this. Remember, the future is not set in stone. Knowing the future changes the future, everyone's personal timelines, can be much different from the omni-timeline. That's why I'm revealing the things to happen. I will be neutral between sides of the war, until you bid me to choose. Your brothers have taken their sides, and because you are the first of the Sage Three I have met, I believe as each of them joined embodiments, I am to assist you as well."
Watching the floor, Hikaru had her eyes trained on the band, just to have something to look at so her emotion wasn't seen. Koty? Dead? Her children? But if the future wasn't set in stone... Hikaru looked back at Asura. "Then only one thing can be done." Asura looked at her as Hikaru continued. "I'll see to it that either I, Celestie, or Nisorin win this tournament. To make sure Plex does not fall into the wrong hands. But they have to be warned... and a plan made to combat Plex without Koty, if it does happen."
"So you're joining Destruction's side?"
Hikaru shook her head. "No. I'll choose no side as well. Koty is my partner, but I am not bound to his side. Who knows what the future will bring if even he wins. The only possible thing to do, is to keep Plex from even happening. And to do that, this tournament needs to end."
"Then that will be my side as well." Asura smiled. "I trust you, as I have given you my item of power. Every embodiment has one item that will end their life and change their ownership. You have mine, if in some way I die, you are my successor."
Kind of surprised, but hiding it, Hikaru nodded, then picked up the band again. Since Asura's omen ended, Hikaru looked to Gaserlake. "Yeah it is. Once I destroy this, that never happened." At that she threw it against the nearest wall, and held out her hand, charging a concentrated beam of revelation magic to her finger. Because of her stunt with the astral projection, however, the beam came slower, as she was already tired and worn out in magic.
-
"Oh, yeah. I remember K2's personal timeline," Gaserlake said. "K2 did say that Plex can destroy existence. A trivial fun fact."
When Hikaru charged up the beam, he knew what she was going to do. He ran, and pretty quick too, into the line of fire. The beam hit him and torn through his chest a hole the size of a golf ball. He was knocked to the ground. The hole healed up, with the clothing that was covering the skin was also put over it.
-
"What the hell are you doing?!" Hikaru demanded, dropping her hand as she looked at him and summed up what just happened. "Suicidal again so soon or something?!"
Asura laughed from the side. "Yep," she nodded. "He has a death wish. He had technology on you when you were astral projecting."
Hikaru paused, stopping everything as she twitched with anger, about to literally snap.
-
Gaserlake laughed as he turned to the others, while still lying on the ground. "I'm not suicidal. I put it on you because I thought you were dead." He grabbed the band that was lying right next to him and got up.
-
"..." Hikaru growled, her eyes narrowing. "Only a damn idiot would think that! I thought you knew every spell I knew? Doesn't seem like it." Her eyes focusing back on the band, she glowered. "That's mine, which I intend to destroy, which I have full rights to do so. So I advise you, DON'T GET IN THE DAMN WAY! I want no evidence of that left."
-
"You're destroying technology, right in front of someone who loves it," Gaserlake smiled. "You sure? I think it's something useful to us. It's a wonder how something this small can send you to another dimension."
-
"That's the damn point!" Hikaru shouted, continuing to glare in disbelief at him. Did he just seriously jump in the way of her attack to save a piece of junk? "Doesn't matter how it can do it, as I must have been possessed or something at the time." Hikaru let that prospect hang in the air as she tried to think of another reason she EVER would have made a piece of tech or where she even got the knowledge. Where had she? Well she had been a bit interested back then, as she had curiously figured out to make an item do something magic can do, but not with magic, to one-up on her brother, and beat him. But.. Then technology became abundant and started taking over. That's when she became against it, and hate set in. But that? That would never be known. Not if she destroyed the evidence of such.
"Just fucking give it here so I can destroy it!" Hikaru demanded, starting to charge another concentrated beam of Revelation magic, but found to her dismay that it fizzled. Dammit! She had used too much energy. "Rrrrr.. what the fuck ever!" Hikaru walked over to the seat. "I'll destroy it later then..." Sitting down, she yawned slightly. "When I have the energy.... to do so." She then collapsed onto the bench, fast asleep.
Asura just watched from the side, laughing at most of it.
-
He put the band in his pocket. "Anyway, she's taken care of," he said. He then turned to Asura. "Alright, tell me. What the hell did Hikaru do that made me think she committed suicide?"
-
Walking over to the stack of books upon the bench, Asura sat near them, a little ways away from Hikaru, as she looked at Gaserlake, a look that plainly showed she wanted to say 'is he stupid?' But instead she merely laughed, "She Astral Projected. She tied her mind, body, soul, and spirit together and left her body, projecting her spirit back to the mortal plane. Normally people wouldn't be able to see her and it wouldn't take much energy. But as I can tell from how wiped out she is. Hikaru must have put all her energy and magic into maintaining physical spiritual form. Did she have some task on the mortal plane to complete, people that needed to see her, or something of the like? That's all I can think of that would require something like that."
-
Gaserlake shrugged. "All I can think of is telling everyone what happened, and the teleporter. She wanted to destroy it pretty damn badly."
-
"Can you blame her?" Asura turned to the stack of books Hikaru had left, poking through them. "You threw the existence of it in her face. Brought something back that she wanted hidden. To completely forget. Hmm, what's this..." Asura trailed off as she picked up one of the books near the center of the stack, one that seemed more faded than the rest, and colored an off-silver with a binding that was starting to peel. Dusting off the cover, Asura read the stained title aloud to herself. "Divination... That's a strange subject to be looking up. Divination is one of the more hoax-type magics. Because knowing the future changes it, almost always, most don't even bother with the skill, unless they take a particular liking to it... " Asura opened the book, immediately coughing from the cloud of dust that poured out of it.
-
"Well, what can I say?" Gaserlake replied. "Life's a bitch, and war's not fair." He took out Hikaru's teleporter. "I'll give this back to her soon enough. You go ahead with the books." He took a seat. He began to disassemble the teleporter. He analyzed every detail as he went through with fascination.
-
"That's stealing." Asura said matter-of-factly, as she read through the contents of the first book, then closed it and picked up another one, this one being a faded yellow but other than the faded writing, a bit newer. Reading the title aloud, Asura blinked, and shifted through the rest of the books, reading each of their titles. "Seers and the Gift of Future Sight, Oracles and How To Find Them, How To Read The Future, The Advanced Art to Scrying...." Asura blinked and looked to Hikaru who still lay sleeping. "I don't think she could know I was coming, so why the sudden fascination in reading the future..." Asura wondered aloud to herself.
-
"Did you hear a damn word I said?" Gaserlake spoke back and continued with analyzing the teleporter.
-
Asura looked up from the books to glance at him. "Temper, temper. I guess it's not a bright idea to talk to an obsessed nitwit when they're in the middle of their trade." Asura scoffed, closing the book she was going through and placing it back on the stack. "But, the fact remains it's STILL stealing, even if you give it back. By now, just analyzing it is stealing. But if war isn't fair, why are you keeping Miss Hikaru alive, then? Obviously it's fair to some degree."
-
"It's fair to some degree, yes, for example me giving this back to her when I'm done, instead of keeping it for myself," Gaserlake said, not bothered to look up while he was taking the technology apart piece by piece. "It's not exactly war, which is why there are some fair points. At most, it's a cold war."
-
"If that was the case, then you wouldn't be stealing." Asura replied, "Riiiight? Right!" Though Asura may have gotten her powers back, she still held the child antics her younger form took. It was just a part of being time. She could be playful as the young, or wise as the old. It all depended on what she wanted to be at the time. "Anyways! Any idea on why Hikaru would be interested in future sight all of a sudden? It's a very, laughable branch of magic amongst most mages. Because most of it is fake, false interpretations. There are SOME with the gift, but Miss Hikaru doesn't strike me as the type to be interested in it."
-
"Maybe it isn't the future in the literal sense, that she's looking for?" Gaserlake suggested. He then thought for moment. "Kotah does have the ability to sense if bad things are going to happen or not. She might have looked into that."
-
Asura looked at him, "Kotah?"
"My son," Hikaru muttered, sitting herself up and rubbing her head a bit.
Asura jumped, "You're awake!" She then held out a finger, "Astral Projecting to physical form, is dangerous, even for the most powerful of magic users! You could have ran out of energy and remained trapped outside your body! Or ran into someone that can battle spirits! Or even ran into the Reapers. Kai said to look after you..."
"Yeah, yeah I know." Hikaru mumbled back, brushing off the fact she was being scolded by an embodiment. "I had to see if they were alright." At a look of confusion from Asura, Hikaru continued, "My children. I had to see if they were safe...as well as..." Hikaru trailed off and quickly glanced over to Gaserlake, then looked back at Asura. "Well, amongst a few other things." Hikaru stood up, her eyes on the band. "But at least they're safe. For now..." Now rested enough, Hikaru held up her index finger and aimed a concentrated beam of Revelation magic, yet again at the teleporter, not really caring if Gaserlake was still holding it or not.
-
Gaserlake was also surprised at Hikaru's awakening. He grabbed the most important pieces of the teleporter before he stood up and took the hit, which knocked him back. Since Hikaru rested, her attacks were stronger. This time, he was knocked back farther than before, which exposed the pieces left behind. A hole has been made in his torso the size of a bowling ball.
-
Asura observed the attack with little interest. "That must hurt," she commented. "To lose your life over toys? Really."
Hikaru rolled her eyes at Asura's comment, then glared at Gaserlake. "Are you going to do that every damn time I try to destroy the piece of junk?!" She raised her hand and levitated the remaining pieces, then swept her hand to the side in a slashing motion, the pieces flying into the wall. However, Hikaru didn't bother shooting another beam this time. "Whatever then, what the hell is taking Lucifer so long?!"
"Hmm, perhaps your opponent hasn't showed up yet?" Asura suggested. "I'll check on that!" She held her hands up, and a book materialized, but it held no title, instead it had two dates printed on it. Opening the book, Asura flipped through it and read through the things inside it to herself, whistling as she did so. "Aha!" Asura shouted. "It says here K2323 was supposed to be your opponent, but because he went off to help Destruction, C2323 is his substitute. But he isn't here yet." Asura slammed the book and it disappeared. "That explains things."
Hikaru just looked at her. "What is that?"
"Eh, heh." Asura held her hands behind her back and seemed to struggle to find the answer. "Nothing of importance, just you know.. a date book, perhaps..... from The Records of Time..."
-
The hole was quickly healed up. The Elite Energy has started to adapt to the Revelation beam. "I'll give it back to you after I'm done with it." Gaserlake calmly said. He turned to Asura. "Oooo. Wow. Looks like you've got a handy dandy history book," he sneered.
-
Suddenly, it was as if the entire arena was being hit with an earthquake. A rip in the sky above the arena had appeared, the inside being pure darkness. Shooting out of the dark rip at unbelievable speeds came the android form of C2323, expressionless, head-first. A few seconds later, he crashed right into the arena of hell, creating a large crater in the floor....
As the smoke cleared from the crash, the android emerged from his depression into the ground. He glanced around at those in the stands before announcing, "If my opponent does not arrive on the floor right now, I will destroy everyone in this audience."
The crowd went wild.
-
Without a word, Asura swiped the first book of the stack on the bench and promptly threw it at Gaserlake's head, using her control of time to subtract time in between her throw and it hitting, thus making it an instant hit. "History book? Is that what you call it? I'll let you know Aralang Boy, that you may be the oldest in this dimension, but even then you're still an infant compared to Time. Where that 'history book,' comes from, would make your races documents look like a box of outdated papers."
Barely phased by the earthquake or announcement, Hikaru looked to the screens showing the arena, and thus C2323 as well. "I guess now starts the match." Sighing, Hikaru looked over at Asura, "Please stick around till after it, I have something to converse with you about." Hesitantly, Hikaru glanced at Gaserlake, before looking back at Asura. "Concerning a certain spell amongst a few other things, if you will."
"Sure thing!" Asura chimed. She pointed her thumb at Gaserlake, "However if he's gone by the time you return, Assume he's dinosaur chow by then."

-
Gaserlake was knocked backwards, the damage healed up. He grinned. "Yeah. I just called it a bloody history book." He then laughed. "It makes perfect sense, too." He turned to Hikaru. "Good luck, Hikaru. With this crazy woman over here, I might not see the end of the bloody match."
-
Asura gave a sour look, "Would you like to be a toddler?"
Having ignored Gaserlake's comment, Hikaru had started to walk out of the room when she came to a dead stop, and quickly spun around. "Wait! You can do that?"
"Well I can turn his timeline back." Asura grinned, "Thus causing his personal time to reverse, reverting him to a child in this fixed time."
"Is it absolute?!"
Asura tilted her head a bit. "What do you mean? He'd be a child, yes."
Hikaru walked foward, forgetting all about the match, as she looked at Asura. "I mean, memories cannot be forgotten. If you were to turn the timeline of someone back, would they be a child in mind as well?"
"Oh I see where you're going." Asura nodded. "Because it is their personal time and not the fixed that is turning back, they would be a child physically and mentally. But!" Asura held up her index finger, "Because they are still part of fixed time, or as I like to call it, the Omni-timeline, the former memories and life of being an adult would still be there. So in reactions and such, the would be a child, but not in thoughts. However, childhood mentality would overpower thoughts."
"Damn!" Hikaru swore, "So damn close..."
-
"A toddler, huh?" Gaserlake smiled. "Well, at least it would humiliate you more. Tsh. Imagine. A toddler kicking the Embodiment of Time's ass. That would be pretty damn sad." He looked at Hikaru. "What? Trying to change your kids back?"
-
Asura turned to Hikaru. "Can I kill him?
"I wish," Hikaru rolled her eyes. "But it'd probably be best not to, I don't want the damn repercussions to fall on me." Hikaru then glanced to Gaserlake. "And if I was? What? Going to tell me that's against some rule of yours as well? Well fuck you."
Looking back and forth between Gaserlake and Hikaru, Asura looked a bit confused. "What happened to your kids?"
"They were brainwashed." Hikaru pointed at Gaserlake, "By his fucking lackeys. But that's not even the worst part! Their childhoods were also taken, they didn't get to experience being kids, forced thrown into the adult world and to follow a path they didn't even get to choose. They can choose now..." Hikaru sighed, "But it doesn't get back their childhood, or the things they lost!"
Asura bit her lip and looked to the ground, her hands behind her back, "Well... even if I could turn them back, they'd still have their memories."
"As I feared..." Hikaru lowered her head and sighed again, then in almost and instant snapped it back up. "Wait! Could it be done in such a way to repress memories? Not change what happened, or change them back, but to turn their timelines back, and then repress or lock the memories in such a way that they would only return when they're truly ready for them, either the aging back to what they are now, or early if they so choose?"
Asura didn't answer. Instead she shifted her weight to lean on her staff, continuing to look at the floor.
"So it's not possible?"
"It is..." Asura looked up towards the other wall as she spoke. "But at the same time it isn't..."
-
Gaserlake shrugged. "If you can kill me, feel free to do so. I'm probably gonna stay in bloody Hell, anyway. And no, it's not. In fact, I would let you do it if you could. And for crying out loud, they aren't my guys." He turned to Asura. "What? Something keeping you from doing it?"
-
"There's a difference between being in Hell alive, and being in hell as Lucifer's bitch." Hikaru informed, "And they sure as hell seem to listen to you. So no matter what you claim, they're still your damn lapdogs!"
"Well...I don't exactly know." Asura looked at Hikaru, "I might and I might not. If they're your kids, then I most likely cannot do anything to their timeline, or even read it."
"Why does being my children make any difference?"
"Umm..." Asura looked between Hikaru and Gaserlake. "It's hard to explain, and would most likely be easier to show. You'll have to come with me to see."
"But... the match."
"It'll only take one second!" Asura winked and grinned. "Literally. Oh, and bring the simpleton with you. I'll show him history book."
-
"They listen to me for a good damn reason. I fucking created the Aralang Special Forces. They respect me, too." He looked at Asura and sneered. "Yes. Please show me the history book."
-
"Which makes them your lapdogs." Hikaru turned back to Asura, "Not that I like the fact he's coming, but fine. If it will tell me how to help my kids, anything."
"Then away we go!" Asura tapped her staff to the ground and a silver bubble formed around the three, teleporting them away.
