At one point of time, all was peaceful. People went about their merry way, and did whatever they were doing.
And then...Something happened. A duo of beings appeared, and in their wake, the people around them simply...Lost their motivation. The people in the same area of these two literally began to grow depressed from their presence, and a few would probably attempt to kill themselves.
The duo that had appeared, were Null and Void, the two halves of the Embodiment of Emptiness. To be exact, their power was mostly focused upon mental emptiness, like loneliness and depression, but they had a bit of other power as well. They walked the streets in silence, their presence a distortion on this emotive planet. They couldn't feel anything...They'd been in search of a new lord, someone to follow, but had found no one. The trail of true evil-or what could be defined as such-had abruptly stopped at a point in Hell. So they were without purpose, except to protect one another.
And merely spread their negativity across the planet...

Suddenly, the two stopped. That presence...That evil aura...
It had returned. In an instant, they were gone, and their effect dwindled away.
