Title: Transmission
Post by: Zero on October 01, 2010, 07:33:04 PM
It was time a measure was taken that may seem to be bad to a few but really it was the only option the WH had left at the moment without going to war directly against Grunder. So a transmission was sent to an Archive ship so that they would help.

We have heard you rent out mercs and scientists. We have a project for your scientists and plenty of money to finance it. We want you to examine one of our dead, determine what killed it and make an immunity serum or something to said problem.

Please transport the deceased bodies to these coordinates, follow strict haz-mat procedures. Payment will be in full upfront.

20 bodies were taken to the coordinates according to Hazmat procedures. Payment namely 5 million credits was being paid. They were all bodies hit by the V9.

After the payment was made the bodies were then placed under heavy shielding before they were taken to the Archive through a wormhole aboard the ADF Grace. Once inside the Library they were taken to a area already prepared with hundreds of fail-safes to keep the biological agents from getting out of said room. It wouldn't take the Archive to long for them to create a vaccine or a cure.

Another transmission was sent.

Also can you provide anti dotes to any other strain of said weapon if it is used?

We will know soon.

Understood. We are awaiting the vaccine or cure or whatever that will grant immunity to that problem. Biological terror agents are very annoying.

(The bodies though can be autopsied and a cure or solution from what happened to them)

(What is there to autopsy? Its coroded flesh and liqufied organs. There is really nothing useful unless it is still in thier system... which it isnt.)

OOC:Um...L-Rage? That sort of thing doesn't disperse from bodies...Trace amounts would still be left, if nothing else. Its a poison or toxin...Those stick around in bodies.

After a while a transmission was sent.

We couldn't find any traces of the organism or machine that caused these deaths, but we have created a some self-replicated VI controlled nanites that will immediately render anything capable of causing such damage upon infection. It is effectively a vaccine. It will however be a bit slower the first time someone with the nanites is infected, although as they are connected through a network the more the VI comes into contact with the infection, the better it is suited to deal with it. Our projections rate that the first infected will have a sixty-eight percent survival chance, the second infected will have a seventy-three percent survival chance. By the third infected the nanites should have increased the survival chance to at least eighty-five percent.

A large supply of the VI controlled nanites were beamed towards the designated pick-up point.

A reply would be sent.
Thank you for the vaccine. We shall put it to good use. We look forward to doing business with you in the future. Also we seem to have problems with a group known as Worlds Without Boundaries. They now have Zere on their side along with a guy who fights using portal cubes, spheres and pyramids. Just a heads up if you ever have to deal with them.

The 'Vaccine' was beamed up and a ship departed from the drop off point immediately. Everyone on Shuma would be vaccinated against the V9 soon which would make it ineffective.
