The gifts given to the mercs had not been enough payment in the eyes of Lord Montreal. So a magical illusion construct of him formed near the mercs made out of stone but looking to them anyway to be the real him.

An ISPDA armor appeared near them as did a couple of solar laser rifles, dark eclipse rifles, and a couple of the tank drones. A saviour armor also appeared near them as did half a dozen datapads containing CI.
“My gift to you is technology that you don’t normally have. In short this is free to you if you sign this contract.†A blood contract stating that the mercs would not reproduce or sell any of this appeared near Hiro himself.

Feeling the need to give the mercenaries some gifts Lord Montreal decided to send them a gift. A magic-hologram of himself appeared near the mercenaries. When they were relaxed he would find the best way to talk to them. "So are you enjoying owning the island Mercenaries?"
