In an attempt to spread the joy of SP to the masses, and in that, partly advertise, an idea has been thought of!
This can include everyone, not just the artists. However, the artists would be working the most.
If you're on DA, lurk, or just browse it for pictures, then I'm sure most of you have came across what Deviantart has recently added called 'groups.' If you haven't, well I'll explain it. Unlike the older days where you had to make another account and just treat it as a group. With their latest update, DA has added groups as their own feature. In a group, you get folders, news, admin, etc. It's like running guild on Gaia, or.... Well, if you need more of an example, visit what DA themselves has to say about it.

Now, we have a group on DA. The OK one. But it's more project based and K2 and I were using it for the anime... and it's dead.
That's not what my idea to present to you is. Groups about something, get nowhere.
I'm presenting an RP group. As soon as groups were introduced, the mass RPers of DA flocked together and made tons after tons. In this type of group, the folders are the characters, events, memes, comics, etc. The group is like a mini site, and they RP in chat. The point is! The artists are all roleplayers, and many of them literate ones at that. It'd be a great source of members.
But since our main RP is on the forum, and not everyone can draw. It'd have to be a hybrid group, linked to the forum for the actual RPing. For joining, characters, meme fun, etc, it would be on the DA group. To make this happen...
We need artists, graphic designers (for memes.) As well as the main staff on the forum, for the actual running of the information. For the rest of you, to join as well, so you can add your race or empire as a choice people can make for. If you still don't understand how all this works, take a look around at the many groups DA has been made to offer.

I guess I'm somewhat interested. I won't be able to do anything the entire next week (Cruise), so if I so happen to do anything this week about it, it'll be before Sunday, which is when I leave.

It may take a week to make the group. Don't want to throw together something lame. It has to look appealing. So you shouldn't need to do anything for a week anyways. Are you signing up as an artist or regular?

Maybe as an artist. I haven't drawn anything in some time, so this may be something to get me back on my feet to draw again. If not though, I'll probably just be a regular.

What I've seen in most DA groups, there's no prejudice. Every group has a range of art skills from stick figures to "OMG I WORSHIP YOUR SKILLZ."
So even people don't think they can draw, they can still submit. THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE.

Definitely not going as an artist. MAYBE if I can get Blender working on this computer, but that will take quite a while.

I'd still like to make this happen. Looking around DA, I noticed RP groups get A LOT of attention.
