Alright.
Here's the deal. I want to see some epicness from you people. Some good RP posts. NOW. Nothing inspired Orpheus and me more when we were working to get as awesome good as we are now like competition. So, lets inspire some deathmatches here....
Link here to a post you made AFTER I posted this topic (November 18 at 10:12 EST U.S. time) with more than 1,000 words in said post. These words have to be meaningful, contributive (even if its just a flashback), and entertaining. Meaning, a good RP post. Link here to your post along and a short description of how many words your post is.
Let's see who can put the most in a post.

OH NO NOT ANOTHER VORTEX

You're the one that once said length doesn't matter...
As long as it continues the story, it's a 'good post.'
-
Length doesn't matter if you're really good. And when you're RPing on a casual RP. Which SP is.
...But the short length and such standards that SP fits would never be accepted on an advanced 'real' roleplay site.
-
You can't always type 1000 word posts. Even you're 'good.' Even on the advanced RP sites. Do you honestly think someone can think of tons of paragraphs every single post when it only calls for answering the above person? Just as you shouldn't have two-word posts or one-liners. You shouldn't bloat the posts either. You don't see full blown 'back to the past,' scenes and off topic thinking in every book if the characters are just talking.
Sometimes, it calls for short. Casual, advanced, whatever the level, it's still better for short at times.
-
.. He didn't say that SP had to convert to 'omg long poasts all the tiem gais,' he just made this topic as a competition. You don't have to compete if you don't want to Hik.

[04:23] iRainiB: Well, I'll do it....but does it have to be about a character from the role play?

I don't think she wants to hear it from you right now, dear.....nothing against you. :-\

Not really. Chances are, if you can't think of more than a simple thousand words to express what you need to say, the topic's done with. I thought like you did once, but once you RP on a site like that you start to see the point in it all. The fact is, SP is really, really casual about stuff. That takes away from a lot of its realism and art.
In any case, what Iaz said.
Also, this is kinda an IC contest sort thing to promote active roleplaying formality. It's not a fanfiction kinda thing or an exert so much as RPing on the board and somewhere in an RP here with someone else, you write 1,000 words in one of your posts.
