After a much needed vacation, senator decadea returned to his planet... he sits down at his new desk and sighs... its good to be back.
-
A knock comes at the door. "Mr. Decadea. Its me, Makarov." A rough voice sounds from behind it.
-
"Come in.", He sits back up. His office was alot larger than before.
-
Makarov walked in, dressed in full black and red ZPAA and holding his helmet under the crook of his arm. "Hello senator. I don't know if you remember me, but I am here by authorization of the Zarethian Government to protect you from further attacks and harm. My name is Makarov, and a I am your protector."
-
He looks up suprized. "Who is after me, may i ask?". The door closes behind him, and Alexandere motions for him to sit.
-
Makarov looked around the room for a brief second. "The government doesn't know. But, seeing as the Narrikians assume that you are a terrorist, they may have cause to attempt to harm you in some way. I am here to keep that from happening." He said in a deadpan voice.
-
"So, they want to kill a Zarethian Senator...", he leans back. "What are our options, Military and Political wise?"
-
"Well, sir, we don't know if they want to kill you, or to teach you a lesson. Either way, until they act our options are limited. All we can do at the moment is protect you to the best of the abilities of the state. Which is why I am here." He said nonchalantly almost as if he was ordering breakfast.
-
"What of the rest of the Senate? How are they taking this? The Council?"
-
"Most know nothing of it. Only one man on the Council knows about their rather determined efforts to incriminate you."
-
"So, If they take action. What is the Government prepared to do? Can we settle this peacefuly?"
-
"Its probable. They rely on us for funds and a safe location for their factories. We could embargo them, or some such. But, I am not a politician, sir. I am only here to get paid and to protect you." He said, giving Alexander a stare.
-
"alright... can I get a meeting with that councillor?"
-
"Yes. He was going to request a meeting himself, but you got to that point before I did. He wants to meet you tonight, and 6:30 galactic time." Makarov told him, sitting in the chair in front of Alexander's desk.
-
"Perfect", he pours himself and the other Zarethian a drink. "I assume that they want to attempt to bring charges against me. I can only assume i get Diplomatic Immunity, but just to be safe. It might be good to have the meeting ASAP.", Senator Decadea's face showed no concern, or worry. If all went well and assuming that he had played his cards right, he wouldnt be made... The ISAF Would arrive soon.
-
"I'll show you to the meeting spot when you're ready. We should be there in... oh, about an hour." Makarov says.
-
"Okay, im ready when you are.", He opens his desk and pulls out his side arm, loads it, and stands up.
-
"Alright, come with me, sir." Makarov said, getting up and opening the door for Alexandre.
-
He throws on a protective vest, checks his ammo, puts his suit jacket back on, and grabs his Government ID. "Im counting on you to escort me there... safely.", He follows him out.
-
"That will not be a problem, Mr. Decadae." Makarov assures him, opening the side of the hover car and getting inside it.
-
Decadea walks out with him. Glancing at the hover-car's Zarethian Government Flags on it, he smiles. He gets in, and checks his Nova Phone.
-
They drive towards a large public sector only to turn left and go down a small alley and stop at an old, homey diner. The red neon lights flickered as the impending twilight comes ever closer. The sign read "The Red Dragon"
"This is our stop, Senator. The Councilor it waiting inside." Makarov said, getting out of the car.
-
He gets out and walks into the diner...
-
As he walks in, Makarov comes in behind him. "Welcome back!" The lights suddenly turn on and theres a big celebration and shout. It was his supporters, apparently word got out that he was back in town and coming for a drink. Makarov took his arm and pointed him in the direction of the old councilor.
-
He walks over towards the councilor... "Evening, councilor.", He bows and takes a seat.
-
"Good evening, Senator Decadae. Please sit down." The old Zarethian said weakly. Makarov just stood by and watched.
-
Although, Zarethian culture may be differant to ISAF/Belkan Culture, He makes a sign of respect by taking out his side arm and unloading it before putting it down in the chair next to him. "You wanted to speak with me sir?"
-
"Yes. I am... worried about you, Senator. The Narrikians are a good people... but they are a bit misguided. They seem to have you deadest as a terrorist and want to get to you. Now... I have had suspicions that they might try to get you, which is why Mr. Makarov is here." He said, nodding his head at Makarov.
-
"I've been briefed.", He says. "What are our curreent options here?"
-
"Well, there are several options that we could take... But those options would only present themselves after the attack. Until then, we can do nothing except perhaps warn against such an action and provide more protection for you. Of course, " He said, nodding to Makarov, who was standing by and warding off any and all unwanted civilians. "Makarov is all we need at the moment."
-
He nods. "Might I suggest that we send spies to them? And keep tabs on them"... he looks around. "when is the next senate meeting"
-
"We can't do anything more drastic than this without the Council's direct permission." The old, elderly Zarethian pondered. "The next meeting is tomorrow, at 5:30 Galactic time in the Council Building."
-
He sighs in frustration while trying to keep his cool around the councillor. "sir, I am afraid that if we don't act or atleast issue somekind of formal warning it may get out of hand."
-
"Our hands are tied, senator. We cannot threaten the Narrikians so long as they are a supplementary component of the Mecherans." The councilor reasoned.
-
He sighs again. "the mecherans are very reasonable... I'm sure if we talked to them...".
-
"True enough, but its been rather hard to get into contact with them. We don't know where they are, and after the disaster of the coronation... we haven't been able to find them since." The Elder said.
-
"yes, true.". He looks around again... "alright. Any more orders of business?"
-
"That... would depend on if you have anything else that you want to discuss with me before we part ways, now." The elder said.
-
He stands up and looks at his.sword... glowing its normal green. "no sir. Thank-you for your time.". He loads his weapon and holsters it.
-
"No, that is all." He said, bowing his head slightly as he looked at his senatorial friend. "But do be careful, at least."
-
"yes sir.", he bows back.
-
Makarov gets up from his chair. "Where do you wish to go now?" He asks Alexandre.
-
"We're going to false heaven to pay a friend a visit... and perhaprs lay low for a while". He walks out with makarov.
