Title: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 16, 2010, 12:26:03 AM
The destination portal opens up in a cargo hold inside a strange ship with architecture Valor/Hiren had never seen before. He fell upon the cold metal with a massive burst of heat coming from the portal behind him, before it quickly closed. All around the room, he could hear metallic scuttling, like bugs made of steel walking along the walls of the dark room. Very few lights were on, casting eerie shadows about Hiren. It would seem that there's no other living things in the room with him, yet still there seems to be something off, something strange.

Valor didn't detect anyone by using magic and decided it was time for him to heal himself in order to pose a greater threat to the voice that said they would kill him and so he begin to focus on the healing aspect of Divae and channel it through his body healing wounds slowly at first, then targeting the 3rd degree burns and erasing them from existence. He decided however that Celestie would be spared and so would Nisorin. He would find some other way to trump the Relorians. Perhaps a special spell of his that he had learned.

Unfortunately, the moment he started using his magic, the loud whirr of several generators echoes through the hold, projecting a very dense AM field into the room.

"My my, is the pain too much for you Hiren? Oh wait, there actually shouldn't be that much pain, considering the extent of your burns. You'll be lucky, even with magic, to ever get feeling back in the majority of your skin. So tell us all, Kuo, how does it feel to be the reason an entire planet died?" An oddly familiar voice calls out over the generators, a small golden glint near the opposite end of the room. "Before you even try it, your AAM medallion no longer has power. The planet was destroyed, and is now nothing more than a small violet sun." The voice adds venomously, as if mocking Valor.

Valor then slowly walked through the door and undid the strap that kept his sword tied inside it's sheath. He would need both his sword and his sage gun for this and so he took the sage gun discreetly out of it's holster and loaded an animte full of residual magic into the ammo slot on it. He then walked to the door as quietly as he could and opened it as stealthily as he could. He then ran through as fast as he could.

As he reached the door, he found it blocked by a body. "What's wrong, can't see?" The voice asks, shoving the wounded man away. "And put your weapons away. You're looking at your savior after all. Show some respect." He adds, closing and locking the door. "If you wish for the lights to be turned on, just say so."

Sighing he once again went through the tedious process of sheathing and tying his sword into place. In addition he took out the animite out of his sage gun effectively removing it's power supply. He kept his Divae Long sword strapped to his waist though and let the Sage Gun fall to the ground. He then went and knocked on the door.

The man laughs and shakes his head. "Yet again, would you like me to turn the lights on, Hiren Dark?"

"Yes, though I go by Valor now.  " he shouted. "And turn off these AM fields while you are at it. "

"Oh, you know I can't do that Hiren, we can't let you get away in that condition after all. You might end up trying to run, and that would cause your skin to crack right open, possibly even start to fall off, flake by crispy, charred little flake." The voice says, clapping twice. The lights promptly turn on, blinding Hiren with their brightness for a moment. Before the door, with his nose literally half an inch away from Hiren's, stands Kerion. "My my, you do look just as bad as you smell. Your hair's all burned up, your skin's charred black, how truly horrid. But, I suppose the most painful wound is the internal one. After all, you did just cause the destruction of an entire planet, the deaths of billions of people. Their lives lay on your head, Hiren Dark, their blood is on your hands."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

"Yes, and I hate myself for it. "  Hiren did indeed hate himself both for betraying Reloria and not for standing to fight Rogue like he should have done. "Now Gallaghar will try to kill me too. I guess if he does succeed then the blood will be off my hands." said Hiren sadly.
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

He laughs almost cruelly and shakes his head. "The blood will always be on your hands, Hiren. Not even death can absolve you of that. But, you can atone. If you survive your wounds of course." He replies, pulling a flake of charred skin off of Hiren's cheek. "Do you remember me?"
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 17, 2010, 09:58:41 PM
"Yes I remember you Kerion. " said Valor regaining some confidence. "When you guys left I sort of joined up with the Legacy Empire and helped them make AAM Medallions for themselves as a sort of protection for them since AM fields became standard issue for everyone. In exchange they gave me a Sage Gun. " He pointed at the empty one on the floor near him.

Looking down at the gun, Kerion shakes his head with a growl. "You have no pride, no respect. You gave away AAM jewelry technology, for a fucking weak ass rifle?!" He shouts, picking the gun up. "You're a damn mage, what do you need this thing for?"
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

"Not the technology. They already knew how to make it. They improved it. That gun in AM shields is invaluable. It can link to your magic and fire blasts from it. "

He smirks at the chunk of metal and promptly snaps off the trigger. "Oops. My my, seems I broke your little toy. I'm sorry." He says, dropping the trigger into a trash compactor nearby. "You see Hiren, many, many Relorians still call for your death, even after these ten long years. Nisorin couldn't come here himself for that very reason. We were all afraid that he'd break the ship trying to finish you off. Personally, I don't think that'd be such a bad thing. After all, there'd be no question that you would be dead. And the fallen Relorians that you caused the deaths of would make sure that you didn't stay in Heaven for very long. In any case, there is the pressing concern of what to do with you. You really can't offer a fair fight in your condition."

Valor then thought of an answer and then said to Kerion "I will tell you all a secret of magic I learned. A power stronger than Relorian Magic and much easier to control if you heal me. I will also weave a death spell so it will seem that I am dead to the other Relorians and go by the new name I have taken up, Valor Konoriforos. The relorians since my magical signature has changed will not know it is me at all in fact I will be able to work for Reloria and atone my bloodguilt. "
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Kerion laughs, this time with cruelty dripping from his voice. "Your wounds won't heal for years, Kuo, even with magic. It would take a fairly large group of Angels to heal your wounds within a year. So, I am sorry, but that will not be possible. Not only that, but I am afraid that you are still branded as a Kuo, as you will be your entire life. You working with us would be unacceptable, regardless of the circumstances."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 17, 2010, 11:25:49 PM
Valor then said "A large group of Angels or....." He stopped there not wanting to tell his secret to him yet. He felt like he couldn't trust Kerion with this particular secret of magic and had no reason to trust Kerion yet.

Walking over to Hiren, Kerion laughs low and murderously. "Or what, little Kuo?" He asks, shoving the man to the ground. "Angels or what? Are you going to make a pact with Lucifer? Or perhaps, 'Him?' Do you really believe that they will be more merciful than I?" He shouts, swinging the butt end of the broken rifle at Hiren's head.
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

"Are you sure you really wish to know? Lower the AM field then and open your mind and I will show you as I can without breaking the oath I have sworn to Gallaghar. "
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 17, 2010, 11:42:07 PM
The butt end of the rifle slams hard into Hiren's mouth, whipping his head to turn around quite hard, knocking several scorched teeth out in the process. "I am not a fool, Kuo. You, as your title shows, give no one true loyalty. You betrayed us, you betrayed the people of Nosvasia, and you betrayed Gallaghar. Do you really think your oath to him will mean anything, you pathetic little leech?"

(And yes, I can do that, since you made no move to stop Kerion when he started swinging.)
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 17, 2010, 11:48:33 PM
Hiren then told Kerion of the waters of healing that Gallaghar had discovered on Magimeta by accident and told him about but made him swear never to tell a single person from this dimension about. "How can I undo the betrayal of the Relorians or at least Atone for it?"
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 18, 2010, 12:10:03 AM
He laughs even harder than he did before. "Undo?! You want to undo your mistake?! Impossible! Because of you, two planets are destroyed! Billions of families are shattered and suffering! You, who once pledged to uphold the Diviae values, have fallen. You, who promised to protect the balance, destroyed it! Every Relorian alive wants a piece of you, Hiren Dark." He snarls, hoisting the bloodied gun up for a second swing. "You are undeserving of pity, or of mercy."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Valor was quick. He thought of his hand as a blade and then used it to knock the gun from Kerion's hand with a single stroke. He had hit the nerves in Kerion's hands causing him to drop the gun. He then said "Since you took one of my teeth. " He then kicked Kerion in the groin. When Kerion was down on the ground he took the AAM Medallion from around Kerion's Neck. "Thank you dunce for providing me with a disguise."

(Null. You have severe burns all over your body, you'd be exceedingly lucky to be able to move at all.)

He saw that Kerion was about to go in for another swing with the gun and so he decided to act accordingly as best he could with the 3rd degree burns. He removed a remote from his pocket linked to the explosives he had placed inside the Sage Gun and said to Kerion "Drop the sage gun or else."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

He simply laughs and crouches down before Hiren, his AAM pendant tucked into his armor."You know as well as I do that it won't finish me off, little man. You, however, won't be so fortunate. The force from the blast will strip the charred skin from your flesh, revealing your muscular tissue. You'll be in extraordinary pain beyond any you've felt thus far. And then, you will die, slowly as you bleed out, screaming and writhing in anguish. The souls of Nosvasia will come and drag you into Hell, where you will be devoured. You shan't return." He whispers, pushing the gun hard against Hiren's chest. "You forget that you're not dealing with the merciful Nisorin. I am a cold blooded assassin, with no qualm with torturing you."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Valor groaned in agony as the burns did even worse damage to his body than he though humanly possible. His magic was building inside himself, ready to explode outwards and heal him the moment the AM field dropped. "How can I atone?" he asked in obvious discomfort. He had thrown the detonator to one side.

Kerion smirks and stands, taking the vital parts out of the gun. "Not sure, to be honest. Never dealt with a murderer of your scale before. But, I'm sure something can be found. I can tell you right now, you'll probably have to do so much you'll wish you were fighting the entire Anrufe on your own instead."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

"After I atone and heal that is actually part of my plan to engage them all in combat alone and to slaughter them all if merely to erase their stench from the galaxy. " said Valor. He had already prepared himself for atonement. "I am unworthy of my Divae Sword which I carry and I probably never will be Worthy again. Don't bother dismantling the Sage Gun. It will never work again anyway. "
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 18, 2010, 08:17:49 PM
Kerion laughs and shakes his head. "Honestly, I don't believe it's possible for you to atone. Others may say otherwise, but I believe you've committed so many crimes you are unworthy of atonement. And besides, you can't defeat even one Anrufe member."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 18, 2010, 08:40:24 PM
"Oh really now? Well then when I do defeat the entire Anrufe single handedly I will also present their heads to you on a pike as a present. " said Valor and his voice was dripping with Venom.
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 18, 2010, 09:41:55 PM
He laughs even harder and shakes his head. "You are quite the arrogant one, Hiren. Seems you take after your Starclanner parent. You can't beat an Anrufe as you are, even if you were fully healed. You may not die immediately, but you will lose."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 19, 2010, 08:45:23 AM
"Yeah. I probably couldn't beat them with just relorian or starclan abilities at my disposal...however if the AM field were not on I would happily show you what I have been learning to do in the past 10 years, something the Relorians never did bother doing when they got the opportunity. " His eyes gleamed when he said this as if he knew that this power of his would be able to heal him partially at least.
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 19, 2010, 02:35:26 PM
He smiles and shakes his head. "Again, I can't do that. You see, the only controls for the AM fields are at the bridge, and that means Nisorin controls it. I'm sorry little man, but you'll have to heal your wounds the old fashioned way: natural healing."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Zero on January 19, 2010, 04:41:53 PM
Valor then thought up a suitable solution to all of his problems involving the Relorians and decided that only one option was availible to him and then he said to Kerion "Do you mind if I make a quick call??" He removed his Interstellar magical communicator.

"I am afraid I do mind. You see, everyone outside this ship believes you dead. We would like it to stay that way. You are a blight upon our honor as a race, Kuo." He replies, walking over and stomping on Hiren's wrist. "But, I do believe I know of one way for you to try to atone."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Valor then screamed out in pain since his fist had been stomped upon by Kerion "How can I atone?"

"Speak with the Judges, and allow them to decide your sentence." He replies grimly, stepping back and grasping his AAM pendant.

Valor then thought up a suitable response to Kerion and decided his death would indeed be what was required.  "Death is the way I can atone?"
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors
Post by: Nisorin on January 19, 2010, 06:55:11 PM
"No. Death is how you meet those who can judge you worthy of atonement, and if you are worthy, tell you how." He replies, glaring at the man as shadow forms over his AAM pendant. "Personally, I hope you burn in hell."

Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

"Oh, but I will not. You see, your death is called for by the Relorians, and you have lost the right to call yourself that." He says, laughing. "And trust me, Kuo, it will not be quick." He adds, the shadow slowly creeping over Hiren's body, from the legs up.

Due to Kerion being so close Valor began to chant "From blood's own boils and soul's own fruit...." Black light counteracted the darkness and surrounded Valor squeezing him until his head was exploded. He was dead.

Kerion laughs and ceases the AAM effect halfway through Hiren's spell. "My my, how interesting. It would seem you're not as stupid as you look."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Valor watched helplessly as the spell he intended to kill himself failed. He decided it was pointless to resist death and said to Kerion accordingly "Kill me.  But allow me to teleport this to Gallaghar." He pointed at the Divae Sword Gallaghar had always wanted from him.

Unfortunately for Hiren, the belt did nothing, as it had long since melted in the heat on Nosvasia. "Aww, your little toy broke. That's what happens when you stand on a fucking sun Hiren."
Title: Re: Unlikely Saviors

Valor then thought up a solution to Kerion. "Lower the AM field and leave me to die."

"Oh no, I'm afraid not Kuo." He answers, smirking. "Instead, I believe I will force you to relive a painful memory as you die." He adds, walking out the door and locking it from the other side. His voice echoes from the loudspeaker in the cargo hold. "Have a small taste of the flames of hell, Hiren Dark." He calls out, his voice low and dangerous. The ventilation vents open up slightly, not even wide enough for a mouse to fit through, and a strange, harsh smelling gas starts to fill the room.

However before he left Valor had enough strength left to do one final thing with his blade and that was to kill himself to spare himself the scent of death, but what he really had done was ignite himself on flame with with a lighter he carried to smoke cigars on occassion. He was quickly burnt to ash due to the Gas lighting on fire due to a single spark, and fire began to flow through the ship.

(As I told you in our AIM conversation, all his items and weapons would have melted back on Nosvasia, so he no longer has a sword or lighter.)

Seeing the gas he then took the abandoned sage gun off the ground. Even though it was broken it might have a loose piece of metal. It did and now he could use it to kill himself. He then prepared to utilize it.

As he tried to pull the shard of metal off, it sparked against the rest of the weapon, blasting the gun right from his hands, as well as stripping much of the scorched skin from Valor's flesh, exposing the sensitive muscle tissue to the heat, flames and fumes.

It was time Valor realized to stop avoiding death and to allow it to claim him. In order to accomplish this he focused not on the pain but on thoughts about how he could redeem himself for Reloria. As the first time he had ever died came closer to him, the fire ate him away completely wiping him out of existence. Without a doubt he was now a dead man and thus Kerion had won. However his victory would be short lived.

(Hawkeye gave me permission to rewrite his previous post.)

Trying vainly to rip off a jagged piece from the unusable rifle, Hiren Dark makes one last small whimper of defiance before a spasm of pain jerks his hand, causing him to strike the shard of metal against the rest of the gun. His eyes widen as he sees the spark fly off, his gaze following it as the gas spills into the room. The powerfully harsh smell of the gas fills his nose, burning it even before the flames burst out from the spark. Instinctively curling up into a ball to protect his vital areas, the skin on his arms and legs, already little more then ash, is blown right off his limbs by the concussive force of the blast. Gasping out in pain, the fire spreads into his lungs, burning at his insides even as the liquid in his eyes comes to a quick boil. Clawing at his face with one hand, and his chest with the other, Valor Kor, A.K.A Hiren Dark, falls onto his side, his muscles no longer able to respond as the nerves are scorched into nothingness, blinded as his eyes burst from the pressure of the boiling liquids.

With a last, pitiful sigh, Hiren Dark falls to the embrace of the Grim Reaper, and with him so falls the last of the Starclan, doomed to die for several years.
