THIS TECHNOLOGY WAS COPIED FROM COSMIC EMPIRES (http://cosmicempires.ipbfree.com/index.php?showtopic=727). And yes, this was and is still mine.
DNA Modifiers are little gel capsules. When broken open, they release a special gel that, when applied to the skin, immediately get to work modifying one's DNA. The magic of these things is that, when the DNA is altered, it does not require one to move onto the next generation to have the DNA take effect; the gel also contains proteins to have the altered DNA take effect immediately, but it takes at least 24 intergalactic hours to take full effect. This was meant as a safety precaution, so that a neutralizer can be used in case the DNA Mod is illegal or has been used accidentally.
There are three kinds of DNA Mods; temporary, permanent, and neutralizer. Temporary ones only release proteins to temporarily alter one's appearance or other stuff, whereas permanent ones alter the DNA itself to burn the alternation into the user and their descendants. Neutralizers are as what their names are; they completely wipe any altered DNA. They do this, and not destroying any other DNA, by destroying all DNA with a set code that does not appear naturally. Neutralizers have their limits, though, and cannot restore DNA; they can only destroy it. So neutralizers do not exist for stuff such as eye color.
Illegal DNA Mods exist, ones that break legal limits that vary from planet to planet. For example, ones that allow ones to cast magic, which can be seen as blasphemy. Illegal ones are also ones that are homemade, or are made by unregistered corporations. It is not recommended to use illegal DNA mods mainly because they carry more risk than reward. So much risk, in fact, that some DNA Mods can kill merely by applying them. Another illegal version is one that works faster than the 24-hour limit.

What DNA is it modified to?
-
That ultimately depends on the mod itself. So one mod could, say, make a human sprout a fox tail while another could make him grow another two arms. But there are limits to what they can do physically... and legally.

Approved.

As I had no problems with it on CE, I have no problems here. However, the widely used mods should be individually requested, and any character-specific mods should be listed in their template.

Thanks.

Some Mods I came up with
Pulse Mods
These mods allow Humans to fire pulses of energy out of their hands sort of like an energy blast.
Moderia
These mods enable a human to fly under his own power, to create weapons out of bone or stone from his own body and to teleport at will. These are highly illegal and thus only the worst criminals use these.

If I may? Both are physically impossible, and that is one thing DNA mods can't do. As I said, they have to remain within the scope of reason and reality.

To create an energy blast all one would need to do is merely gather the static energy in the air and then focus it as a blast of energy.
The bone weapons would be their own bones which would automatically restore after being used as weapons.

... Tell me how much static electricity there is in your bedroom first.
And their own bones? One, do you know how long it takes to make a bone the size of an adult's rib? Two, do you realize that without bones you'd be a simple blob on the floor, unable to move?
