Name: Arianos Darien
Age: 526 (appears 26)

Biography: Arianos was one of the survivors of the first Sage War, serving as a general of no real repute. His twin longswords cut through many foes back then, and his spells ending many more lives. Since the end of the First Sage War, he retired from the military life and began traveling across the universe, improving his martial and magical skills. He believes that, through this self-improvement, he will be able to negotiate with, or defeat, enough leaders of the major powers to promote a lasting period of peace. So far, his efforts have been in vain. The few emperors he has approached have either laughed him out of their courts, or outright reacted violently.
The dagger that once rested in the hilt of his more, intimidating, sword was buried into the eye of a middle-aged red dragon he was forced to fight during one of his meetings with an emperor. The hide was then used to craft his current armor, with the stomach hide used for his gloves and the blood crystallized to create the jewel accents. The fight was a long one, and Arianos suffered a great many burns and cuts. Since that fight, he is a bit closer to fire, and he often utilizes it in his more powerful spells.
The crystals, while extremely hard and durable, don't actually do anything, with the exception of his pauldron. He can use his magic to extend the spikes on the pauldron into a large, dragon-like wing. While he cannot actually fly with the one wing, he can use it to hover for a few seconds at a time, and he can also use it as a shield due to its hard crystalline nature. Many around him have said that the confrontation with the dragon has changed him, but none of them are sure whether it was for the better, or for worse. He doesn't speak with many people regarding himself and his past, and he pointedly avoids talking about the War.
