As February closes in a few hours, I'm happy to announce some good news. This month's activity levels were off-the-roof. We haven't had such a good month since October. Our activity's increasing once more -- so much so that we went through several GBs of bandwidth this month and had to find a new chat client.
A new event is currently being planned. Following the conclusion of that event we will begin major site upgrades. Anything you want to see in that upgrade?

3. Try to find a way to conclude this Hikaru Garelang Virus/Relorian Plot.
4. Also awards for bringing in new members.

To be honest, I'd like to see some more dimensions too. I mean, we know they exist, but they aren't really explored, you know? However...I dont think we're at the point yet where more dimensions are gonna be feasible to introduce, IC-Wise, that is. At a later point, we really should.
Hm...As for stuff to add right now...More plot. Iunno, the only thing I can think of to do is to stir things up a little, with individual characters, that is, not just giant armies. I haven't seen a one-on-one fight on Shattered since the tournament, aside from my and L-Rage's Vampires hunting a few Narrikans...We need more of those, and more general use of characters and named, important NPCs.

I agree with the awards thing. Something creative
And we do need more dimensions. As far as I know all the after life worlds/dimensional planes are christianic. This could prove as an offense to users that might/have joined religiously. Seriously, I'm not offended by it but I'm not a Christian. The he'll my religion believes in can be a world of demons and gods together. Don't blame me for being Shinto/Buddhist.... But still...... That's one dimension set I think we could add....also being native American which the tribe is found in the northwest coast, there is another world through that belief... Maybe if anyone asks and I tell them what that is, we could add it too?

How about doing something to cut down on the OOC arguments? Things like that are fine every now and then, but when we have them as often as we do here it tends to push away newer members, thinking that the RP has an unfriendly or unsportsmanlike community. Not that they'd be entirely wrong, but still. If we want to engage more members, we need to make the entire board, IC and OOC, more user-friendly. Look at what happened with Null. We nearly went and pushed him away with all that crap. I know you guys are proud of what you make, but you still need to be reasonable and understand that this is an RP, a place where everyone builds off of everyone else. Diversity is not only encouraged, it's practically inevitable. Trying to stifle it will only serve to tear the community, and thus the board itself, apart.
We also need to collaborate in gathering up the information people will need and make it easy to find and understand. Beginner's stuff should be separated from advanced stuff, and available in as few clicks from the board index as possible. This'll be made a lot easier once we finally get the website off the ground, but still. That's also not something we staff can do alone, there's simply too much information, and what may seem simple to us staff members may, in truth, be not simple at all.
Getting ready for the new season is gonna take some help from everyone, and if I'm still able to RP here when that time comes, I'd be glad to have your help.
