And so the planet moved, to be next to Duerme.

But because it wasn't a planet, it couldn't move. What's more? There seemed to be someone living in it already, someone had taken up residence inside the Cosmic Palace, despite the very barren location it was set in.

But as Narrikians already lived there, they simply teleported the palace and themselves to Duerme, not to dislodge the visitor but to rather get rid of the neighbors, which in this case were of course the Anrufe. And since it was a science center, it could be teleported.

However, the palace refused to budge or teleport. The magic of the Narrikians seemed to be completely useless in this case. The palace didn't want to go and so it refused to.

They then concentrated instead and did a different technique, one that would make this place slightly out of phase with the natural movement of space. IE it would be harder to attack if it was out of phase with the natural flow of space. Now that that was done they quickly went to work creating barrier arrays that would draw their strength from technology, specifically power generators that had been constructed in the Cosmic Palace. One of them went over and found a book on the sons of plunder and began to read. Perhaps these people would be of use in clearing out the worlds of any sleeper agents of the Anrufe. Perhaps, the operative would tell him later. It might result in a promotion or something thought the officer.
