Title: NPD Tech

Narrikian Police Department Technologies

*Restricted to the police, and most was made by Ken Atlas for the police.

Multi-Ammunition Guns
Knowing the police would need better technology Ken spent some of the money he had at his disposal putting it in the hands of scientists and ordering them to build the police bigger and better technologies so that he would not have to worry about the crimes that were going on or plagues that were spreading for a good amount of time. One result was that they took his research into Project Sentinel and the  construction nanites and put them together creating something new for the pistols and adding a DNA locking system. As a result these pistols can fire lasers, saraton bursts and many other types of ammunition but only one type of ammo at a time can be utilized.

LRMAGs
Knowing the police would need better technology Ken spent some of the money he had at his disposal putting it in the hands of scientists and ordering them to build the police bigger and better technologies so that he would not have to worry about the crimes that were going on or plagues that were spreading for a good amount of time. These are far more imposing than the Mags, and are made for long range capabilities rather than for closer range like the pistols but also have a DNA locking system and all the capabilities of the Multi-Ammunition Guns.  http://fragraham.deviantart.com/art/Riff-s-Laser-Cannon-142559996?q=boost%3Apopular%20scifi%20laser&qo=7

BPA
Knowing the police would need better technology Ken spent some of the money he had at his disposal putting it in the hands of scientists and ordering them to build the police bigger and better technologies so that he would not have to worry about the crimes that were going on or plagues that were spreading for a good amount of time. One of the inventions they created was the BPA a lesser armor than that used by the military but still very useful as the gauntlets of the armor contain Tazers set to a voltage of 5x what is normal, but not fatal to Narrikians. Further it has protection against being bitten through, or armor piercing rounds as well and is made out of dietranium. The armor like most of the technology given to the police department has a DNA locking system inside of it. Also a small boost in speed and strength is given, about 5 fold. Comes with it?s own oxygen supply.

Armored Transports
Knowing the police would need better technology Ken spent some of the money he had at his disposal putting it in the hands of scientists and ordering them to build the police bigger and better technologies so that he would not have to worry about the crimes that were going on or plagues that were spreading for a good amount of time.  So one of the inventions they turned out was far better than the old out dated vehicles used by the police increasing the speed of response time. It has been upgraded so that it has a saraton cannon that can fit on a car, but naturally this would not be very powerful. Still though it does have some other defenses including a force-field.

Do remember that the MAGS will require the different ammo to be loaded before it can be used. A weapon the size of a pistol won't be able to load multiple forms of ammunition at once due to size constraints. Approved under this condition.

LRMAG basically a rifle version of the MAG. Approved.

BPA: That's quite an expensive suit, certainly too cost-prohibitive for standard police. Wanna update either problem?

ATs: Three wheels. Wow, that creates a whole host of potential exploits. Still, Car sized turbolaser cannons? Does that mean the cannon is the same size as a car, or that it's small enough to fit it onto a car?

Also, use Deviantart for pics. You'll probably have better luck than google images.

And, it would also have to be available for military. Traditionally, the military have these kinds of weapons before police anyways.

Alright, reworking it. And the reason it isn't availible to the military? They aren't dealing with a supposed bio-terror carrier group loose on Duerme, but the police are.

The military is on the same damn planets. Plus this shit wouldn't be in the budget.

MAGs approved under Nissy's condition.

LRMAG approved.

BPA really wouldn't be realistic to issue to police.

And, in the event of an attack, bio, terror, or otherwise, the MILITARY would be taking care of that situation. Too dangerous for local PD

BPA has been issued due to the nature of the series of 'accidents' lately that involved Narrikians becoming pires, so....it is reasonable to issue.

Just saying... What ever the police has, the military has. And just to prove my point, here's a few IRL Modern day examples.

The US Military uses M-16 A2s, M-4s, and M1911s (Standard.) SF may use Mp-5Ns and some other HK sub machine guns. Regular police use less powerful Glock pistols and maybe a remington 870, or SPAS 12 (Both of which are in use by teh military, or have been.). They wear 1 kevlar vest (as opposed to a kevlar vest, pants, and helmet in use by teh military).

The only time where theyn are somewhat equal to military weapons, equiptment, and power is when SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) are called in. In that case, SWAT uses APCs. Full body armor, and M-16/MP-5Ns.

Well the military does not have it as Ken pulled some strings with the BG to get this tech to the police. Besides that fact, Ken is wealthy ENOUGH to afford to give the police better equipment.

You're missing the point here. Ken lacks that power, for starters. And since there is such a heavy military presence on all Narikian/Mechera Planets, its obvious that the military has rights to the tech.
