Title: Re-Placement Test
Post by: Zero on January 20, 2010, 06:49:00 PM
To prove I can do this,  I am redoing my placement test.

Arcane stood in the circle of the master where his master the beloved Samurai of Magimeta had died fighting off monsters from a void of neverending darkness and now it was his turn to fight the monsters within himself in order to become a true samurai. He decided though that he would follow Bushido except for the part of getting a lord since currently he viewed all the lords as corrupt. The monsters, first a dragon and then 6 snake men came through the portal and Arcane slowly put his hand on the hilt of his katana letting the tension build until he drew the sword from it's sheath. In essence it was time for him to become what his master could never be, the ultimate samurai. In order to attain this state though he would have to battle long and hard against all types of opponets. He then waited till the snake men were about to go on the attack and then he stopped restraining himself and let all his years of training become evident. He resheathed his sword seconds later preffering to go unarmed at first. He then focused on a spell that would enable him to waste the first 9 of the snake men and decided of a simple spell yet one that would do a lot of damage and so he formed a small sphere of energy in each hand and then fired it into the sky, a type of paralysis rain. At the same time however he was forming a water proof barrier around himself and being ready to take them down. Once they were paralyzed, it was easy going from there as he cast a fire spell called Samurai Fire at them causing them all to be roasted to ashes in mere seconds.

Now he had to concentrate on the dragon which he knew would be much harder for himself to kill. He had never fought a dragon, but had been told by others who had been friends of the Samurai how to fight dragons and so fight this one he would. He realized that dragons were innately magically resistant and so he decided not to use his magic against it but to fight with his sword and the weapons he had with him which were two rifles, and a pistol along with a bow and arrow. He decided to use the bow and arrow first and aim for the eyes of the dragon in hopes of killing it quickly throughout the battle. He then fired his first arrow, an unpoisoned arrow directly at the creature's right eye and it incinerated it when it saw it coming unfortunately for Arcane.

Arcane realized his current weapons weren't going to be able to do much besides annoy the creature excluding of course his magic and his sword. He knew he couldn't directly affect said monstrocity but yet he had a plan of action to bring it down that he had improvised.  "Negion Aura. " He commanded and a tall red suit of armor appeared around himself as he prepared to hurl something heavy at the dragon, this was a technique of magic he had invented only weeks before in hopes of never having to rely on it, but now that he was fighting the dragon... this was the only technique that would work.

Using the Aura would drain a lot of his energy, this he knew. However it would be the only technique to combat the dragon that would work without being burnt to a crisp by the flames the dragon was releasing from it’s maw. Arcane preffered not to be charbroiled by the dragon and intended to stay alive, so the only way he could do that is to kill the dragon. “Negion Transformation Blade. “  His blade turned into one huge enough for the armor and then he swung at the dragon killing it in one swift and decisive blow of his sword.

He then noticed a Mercenary nearby holding an egg in his hands along with a silenced pistol. He knew this mercenary was a sage from just looking  at him and probably the one who had instigated the fury of the dragon. Arcane wasn’t stupid by any means and decided that if he wanted to be rid of the dragon for good, he would have to kill this mercenary and yet Samurai Honor demanded he fight honorably and so he walked up to Varidas and asked him “Who are you?” Varidas “I am death incarnate and your doom, I am Varidas.” He then unleashed magical lightning at Arcane who barely had a chance to think of a barrier and use negion to form one around himself to block the lightning that was headed towards him. On instinct, his Negion extended taking control of the lightning and resending it though this time back towards the source of it. He had no patience for lightning, nor no tolerance for someone who attempted to murder in cold blood. He would see to it this guy was a smoking pile of ash before the day ended. For many hours they battled until both Arcane and Varidas were exhausted from fighting each other so long with magic and Arcane had even used his sword once or twice. Both of them were panting heavily out of breath and exhausted from the long haul of the battle. Arcane "With your skills Varidas, I could use someone like you in my organization as the sharp shooter and since you are better at magic, you can fill the magic category as well for my group." Varidas "I would be honored to serve he who defeated me."

Just by reading the first paragraph, I can tell you right now that you have not improved. Your classes stay the same.
