Title: Frame-Work
Post by: @Pokemon Master Red on May 25, 2011, 11:10:00 PM
A frigate, Mechera in design, but with many more guns than a normal civilian ship, flew by the planet. From orbit, it realeased its cargo-Three Mechs, all ten stories tall-before flying off.

[Stability-57.8457-63.5729%]
[Within acceptable perameters. PSEUDO-MAGIC System:Online and operational. Targets in central memory. Deploying orbital-landing proceedures.

All at once, the three machines deployed a protective shielding system, designed to protect them during atmospheric entry. Once they'd gotten through the atmosphere, the shielding system would be discarded while flaps opened all along the Contingents' bodies(and also be opened along the two superheavy weapons they all carried-The Plasma Artillery Cannons and the Triple-Miniguns) to slow their descent. If they landed without a hitch, then that'd be good news. Of course, though, there was always a hitch. Always. Thats why three were sent down.
-------------
In their cavernous space, the Mechera diplomats had linked their dataspaces together again, in order to speed up processing speed so that they could carry out conversations, which could take hours for their perception of time, but in reality take minutes at most. However, it desynched their bodies from them, meaning they weren't aware of the outside world. During their time on-world, they'd prioritized learning the local customs, not as part of their job, but as part of their own free will. One of the job requirements to be a Mechera Diplomat was a interest in foreign cultures, after all. Currently, they'd been speaking to each other in the Relorian language, feeling it was right to speak the native language. Suddenly, one interrupted another, saying,"Aren't we supposed to be the only Mechera signitures on world? And...!"
"Those are Contingent signitures! What're they doing here? Someone, go alert the Relorian terrestrial military, right away!" The original speaker finished, as another synched with her body and rushed off to alert the Relorians.

Since the new arrivals were unannounced, the security spells and constructs already in use on the planet finally wake up. Below the Contingents, web-like threads of energy form, crisscrossing each other to catch and toss the mechs back into the air. The psionic constructs start redirecting local light, sound, and other sensory information including physical touch. To those planetside, these alterations show as glowing blue spheres, one for each of the three mechs.

((Blue text will be the mechs' experiences, green planetside.))

The Contingents continued to the surface, all three landing safely in what looks like a deserted field, the closest trees several hundred yards away. Before them stands a giant of a man, grass green hair billowing a bit in the wind. "Who are you, to come here uninvited, without even proclaiming your names?" He calls out, the ground seeming to wrap itself around his feet, the grass leaning towards his ankles.

The one who'd rushed out nearly ran into Irrelai, still carrying the little Ausserre in her arms as she nods at the Mecherans. "I'll assume from your rush that the machines that tried to descend to the planet are not your friends?"

"Yep, there's the hitch."
"Fucking. Always."
"Quiet, you two. Be serious. And to you there, we our individual names are unimportant. We are soldiers of the Imperial Mechera Army, here to take this world in the name of our leader, Gregory Falzone. Who would you be?" The middle one said, arrogantly. They didn't know the area, but the organization knew there were diplomats here. They, therefor, acted as though the grassy field, and the trees themselves were normal for this planet, as per their briefing.
----------
"No! Well, yes. Kinda. Not really. Er..."
"She means to say she doesn't know. None of us have any idea whats going on right now. Those are military model Mechera over there, to be sure, but not just any; that model is a prototype designed to test new technologies, and isn't even known to the general public. We only know because Mechera Weapons Labs report to the Harmony sectors of government, not Hostility, in order to keep our weaponry mostly human and to prevent some power-mad general from secretly developing new weapons to use in a coup. Logically, this all means its a full-fledged declaration of war. However, both standard and nonstandard operating proceedure for times of war are to evacuate all Mechera diplomats and ambassadors, or at least give fair warning to them, at least a good month or so in advance, and judging on location, they looked to be headed for a civilian sector. Our empire wholeheartedly disbelieves in harming civilians, even during war, and its considered a war-crime by our government for a soldier to do so, with punishments ranging from viral infection, data corruption, 'repurposing', to even capital punishment for the worst senarios. What Im trying to say is, there isn't a logical expanation for it. It cant be the government, because they obviously aren't worried about us or civilians, which would probably mean they'd attack from orbit than on-world, yet it must be because only they have that tech..."

"Well, that's rather interesting, not that I'm particularly proficient with technology. But, no worries. My husband will take good care of them, I'm sure." She says, looking over at the nervous Mecheran woman. "It would seem to me you have some traitors. Shall I call our former tech specialist and ask her to give you a hand? It won't be cheap, she's a merc of sorts now." She explains, shifting Ausserre as she starts to fret.

"So the Mechera are trying to take the home of one of their allies while their own diplomats are on-world? And I was told yours was an intelligent race. Or are you just the type to uselessly waste lives like the Aralangs?" Iroku counters, walking closer to the three, revealing himself to be well over three times their height. "Shall I educate you, or shall I leave it to your superiors?"

"Such a thing would likely involve scanning the entire population, if it was in that case. I'd say its much more trouble than its worth in any other situation, but I really dont know by now..." A diplomat said, shaking her flashlight-head sorrowfully. "We'd need suspects before we could begin the process, or else there'd be enraged civilians everywhere. I sometimes wish we could bypass it, but without Gregory's approval, its simply legally impossible to do spot-checks among everyone of the general populace. Invasion of privacy and all that."

"Hmph. As if organics could truly be allies of the Mechera." one of the contingents said, saying 'organic' as though a curse word. "And here's a pointer-We Mechera, within our own cybernetwork, can travel across the galaxy in a span of a few seconds, then pick up a body there. It would be ever so simple to...evacuate those diplomats once we found them. The only loss would be those few bodies, nothing more." The other two boosted behind him, still unaware that it was a illusion,  and attempted to encircle him. They aimed the plasma cannons and prepared to fire.

"That is a military, body, is it not? Simply require checks of everyone seeking to inhabit a military or developmental body. Prevents privacy rants, and it will prevent stuff like this, as well as industrial espionage and such." Irrelai answers, shrugging as she sits on a nearby rock.

"Ah, I see. Extremists, looking down upon the organic as if we were inferior. It is a shame though, you're forced to always rely entirely on your guns. Let me show you how foolhardy that is." The giant replies, turning to face the Mecheran behind him. "Go ahead, shoot me. But don't come crying to me if you find you have lost your arms."

"Contingent Pilots are assigned the contingents they're allowed to use. Further, Contingent bodies are given only to specialized pilots. However, those models shouldn't even have been deployed...they're a 00 model, a prototype of the CONMAN system. They're effectively test dummies, used mainly for testing our PSEUDO-MAGIC system. I cant fathom as to how they'd have been taken..."

"Awright, finally, I get ta shut ye-"
"Negatory, CONMAN-02, CONMAN-03. This is not our target." The one who didn't boost behind him said, before turning to leave. "Follow, 02, 03. We have our directives."
"Fuck you and your directives, 01! I want to kill this organic!" The one which was apparently 02 said, before 01 aimed his plasma cannon at him. 03 was wisely following 01 without complaint, as 01 said,"Perhaps you would wish to rethink your choice, 02? Defectors, after all, are to be exterminated. We can, as well, make do with one less to complete this mission."
02 lowered his weapon, though he seemed to growl at the figure, before following the other two. "PSEUDO-MAGIC system stability still within acceptable parameters. . .Prepare for Mega-Boost."
"Sir, are you sure thats safe right now?"
"Very."
All three of them then activated the PSEUDO-MAGIC cores, though 03 seemed a bit wary at first, in order to Mega-Boost; basically moving at 10,000 MPH in a specific direction for a very short amount of time-Still long enough to get away, though. As they finally did, though, it would probably break though the webs and the constructs, to which they might see that they were deceived...

"That still doesn't stop you from implementing checks for military or research personnel. And it's obvious how they were taken. You. Have. Traitors. Someone you trusted either betrayed you, or was careless and a group of traitors got their hands on the prototypes because of it." She replies, looking over at the speaker.

The constructs, being made entirely of energy, have little trouble keeping up with the CONMEN during their boost. That was their design, after all. To keep up with potential foes until the threat was determined. Iroku's laughter seemed to follow them as he stands before them, looking like he was waiting for the Mecherans. "An intriguing trick. Needs work though. Now then, I am afraid you will find yourselves unable to leave if you don't start playing nice with others. So, what're you three doing here, really?"

"Well, y-yeah,  guess...Well, cant blame me for not wanting to believe it, though." She said, lowering her head.

"Logical fault. Teleportation not detected. Either you moved with us...Or we didn't move anywhere." 01 said, turning to the figure. "Probability of you following us calculated at .001129812%. Explain."

She laughs. "Sure I can. If I'd blame myself for it, make no mistake, I'll blame others if they do the very same thing. You're diplomats, this puts you in a position of leadership. Thinking of these things is part of your job as a leader." She says, taking a step out of the cave to look at the now fifty-foot diameter sphere. "Haven't actually seen him use that yet. I wonder what he's doing in the illusion."

"We don't explain our tactics to potential foes. And since you come here in military armaments, threaten me and even dare to point guns at me, I have no reason to believe you have come here with peaceful intentions. Now, if you wish to leave this place, you'll learn to take turns. I've asked you why you are here. Until you answer, I will not be obliged to answer your own question." He says, walking a bit closer to the three. "My partner has been speaking with your diplomats, and they express confusion regarding not only your presence here, but your armaments as well. Prototype machines, they said. This makes things even more dangerous for you, for you'll find technological communication methods will not pass out of this place, which includes your ability to leave your bodies, unless you mean to swap between you three."
