Dick Mury rushed into Devour's room. It was his job to be taking care of the newest recruit to the cause. "Zero!" He called. "We have an issue!"

In the small Zarethian Town of Al'toltec was under attack by a giant, almost lizardlike monster. The people on the ground screamed "Modzilla!" as other said "Zaiju!" As they fled under its feet. One would wonder what would happen to the poor sods who were under it when it had to go...

Zero had been taking a bit of a power nap at the time; it'd been too early for sleep, but he wanted to rest. When Murry burst into his room, he said,"Hhn? Issue?"
A few seconds later...He was Devour. In a slightly more demonic-sounding voice, he asked,"What needs to be done?"

Mury showed him a live camera view of the beast rampaging.

It wasn't pretty.

"Will I need to get there on foot, or will I be air-dropped, or what...?" He asked, turning back to his boss. "If Im hoofing it, I'll need to know the location."

"Better!" Mury says, walking over and putting his hand on Devour. Immediately Devour was teleported on top of the monster's head.

"Bet-" He said, and instantly he was there. "The hell? Whatever, Devour, just roll with it..." He said, before slamming one claw on the monster's head. "Hey! Ugly! Imma give you one chance to stop all this and turn yourself in! Otherwise, I can and WILL put the smack-down on you! Got it?" He said in his vicious-sounding Devour-voice. He based his form off Venom, after all, why not sound the part? As he spoke, he took his other claw, and extended it by decompressing the cells there, and allowed himself a larger, if still equal in mass, weapon to attack with.

The monster didnt even notice him. It thought it was another flea and flicked at him.

With a acrobatic flip that couldn't be possible for him had he any bones, he jumped back from the hand, turning his elongated arm into a tendril, hooking it onto the beast, and pulling himself onto its face. "I warned ya, honest." he said, right in front of its eye, before stretching he free claw back(he was holding onto the creatures face with the other), and smashing it into the creature's eye with about as much force as a loaded semi truck.

The creature flailed around blindly, knocking over a tower in the process. Its eye shut on devour's arm and it flung him away, or tried to.

When it shut on his arm, he simply drew tendrils into its body, invading roots which probed everywhere and anchored themselves within the remnants of the monster's eye...Which they then broke down, digested, using those materials to make new cells and continuously expand further, further into the eye as Devour anchored himself at the rim of the creature's eye, stopping himself from being knocked away with jagged spikes digging into said rim.

The monster ripped him out of its eye, crying out in pain, then reforming its eye almost immediately. It was almost as if it were some secret government experiment or something. Nah, that couldnt be it. It let out a magical subsonic burst of magic in the form of a roar, destroying most of the remaining buildings at its height and hopefully sending Devour far away.

In order to prevent from being ripped away, devour compressed his body around the rip of the eye, turning it into a perfect ring with a small trail running along it in between the closed eyeball. Of course, the mass of the rim of the monster's eye wasn't big enough to fit him, even compressed and ring-shaped, and so he put the mass into the spikes and the roots in order to place it within the monster, further lodging himself in there.
It was clear-The monster could give up, or he could make a final push and go for the thing's brain through the eye socket in order to end it.

The monster fell down, landing almost face first onto the street, its tail knocking a tower for electricity down, showering sparks everywhere. Its eyes began to water, big crocodile tears as it lay down, attempting to pacify the odd, tiny thing that was hurting it. It, after all, didnt know what was going on, the poor thing just wandered up from the ocean like it had done three years before, but this time there was a city in the way. It went through it, no knowing any better. Great big crocodile tears rolled down its face, making enormous puddles at the base of the head.

As soon as it surrendered(or at least fell down, either way), Devour pulled the tendrils back out from the creature's eye, and pulled his spines from its flesh. Then...He noticed it was crying. "Hey hey hey, dont give me that. I gave you a fair warning, you didn't list. 'Sides, considering your genetic makeup, that'll fix itself just fine. I wasn't gonna do any lasting damage anyhow." Devour said, folding his large, still-monster/hero-formed arms over his chest. Since he'd absorbed a bit of its DNA, he was able to commune what little psyker power he had to the creature's own brainpatterns, only enough to translate their words to each other, but then, thats all he'd need.

Its thought processes went something like this. >> I didnt hear you... I didnt understand... I dont understand... Why do you hurt me?<< It thought, sniffling and making a noise that sounded like boulders being rubbed together as it did. Its eye healed itself but the creature still was in pain.

He softened a bit, his factial features visibly, in how the creature'd see it, going from angry-ish, to a more calmer, sory-ish setting. Normal people wouldn't register the difference, but he wasn't talking to normal people.
"Well, you might not have realized it, but you were hurting a lot of people all around you. These things around us ain't rocks, they're where these people all running away live and work. I had to stop you as fast as I could in order to try to save as many lives as I could...Clearly I wasn't able to talk with you then like now. If I hadn't stepped in, someone else would've, and they wouldn't have been nearly as kind as to just give you a bum eye for a few hours, if that, to get you to stop."

It registered in confusion. >> I was hurting things? I didnt want to hurt things... they were just there. I didnt notice.... Im sorry...<< It thought, ending on a sincere note.

"I cant say for the people you'd hurt, but I forgive ya. You didn't know, after all, so its not like you'd have had any reason to act differently. I'll see to it, the best I can, that nobody tries to imprison you or anything about it all, but you understand why I had to stop you as fast as I could." He said, before leaping onto a building and extending his hand, the arm spreading our with most of the mass in order to make his arm around the size of the Zaiju's, and holding it out to help it up. "Anyways, Im something of a hero, even if nobody knows about me around here. My name's Devour. Whats yours?"

It thinks for a second. Its 'name' would be unpronounceable. >>Mogira or Mo<< it replied at last, getting up steadily, trying to cause the least amount of damage as possible.
A Zarethiab military helicopter, or its equivalent, appeared on the skyline and came towards them. It dropped down and aimed its weapons at the giant beast, Mo. Mury ran towards Devour. "Great job!" He said enthusiastically. "We can take it in for studying!"
Mo looked at the new stuff warily. >>Whats going on...?<<

Devour turned to Mury, with a lethal expression on his monstrous, fang-toothed and teardrop-eyed face. "No." He said simply, putting his still over-sized hand in front of the chopper to block it from Mo.

"What are you talking about? This is an amazing discovery! We cant just let it go back free!" Mury protested weakly.

Devour held the stare at him, saying,"A punishment, given the circumstances, would be unjust. He had no way to know you had set up your civilization, nor what it was at all. And he isn't unintelligent."

Mo peeked his still lowered head over Devour's arm and looked at the Zarethian scientist curiously. Hed never seen one of them before. Similar to the first but different. He had no idea what they were moving their mouths for. Maybe they were talking he thought, still transmitting thought waves.
"But, but, but Science!" Mury protested as Devour continued to glare at him. He sighed and waved away the helicopter. "You know the others might be more forceful and try to capture it in the wild, right?" He asked.
