Title: Away for the day
Post by: Queen Bright on June 11, 2011, 12:52:08 PM
Had to attend a funeral. My cousins grandfathers. No one I'm close to or really know that well but it's still respectful to attend. If it's mandatory for the event, someone else can take over Teachery. These things do tend to be most of the day.

I told you it wasn't anyone close to me.

Anyways, kinda have to laugh at the funeral. At least the service part. The dude was Lutheran so it was held in one of those....

Things totally wrong or funny:
1. The preacher that gave the sermon was a woman with a very monotone voice.
2. The holy water 'ritual' was just ridiculous.
3. I find it funny that that in the prayers and scripture recites they say 'gods son,' soooo many times. Yet ask any of those religions and they swear by the trinity that he is god himself. Contradicting...
4. They ommited scriptures just and words in scriptures like the word 'begotten,' in 'gods only begotten son.' Begotten wasn't there when it should be.
5. I have to question.... does that faith even READ thre bible? I grabbed the bible in the seat provide to follow along and like... there's no chapter numbers, no scriptue numbers, no indication of where you are in the bible except book name. YET the preacher states book, chapter, and scripture. How the hell do their followers follow along? Memorise it? Never seen such a poorly made bible. I guess they don't read it. That explains how the followers are all blind to that false religion  :-\

The trinity is real. Jesus is God, but on Earth, He existed as the son of God. The Holy Sprit is the binding force of God, and is also a part of God. Are you denying He is God's son or denying He is God?

I dunno anything about Holy water.. And most Christian Bibles do have chapter and scripture numbers.

And every denomination believes certain aspects differently. Its best just to make your own judgements.

I am denying he is god. He is his son, originally thr first angel created. I'll get into this debate with you when I'm not still mobile.

That bible didn't. Lutherans aren't Christian, they're a split-off from Catholics.

Dunno about Lutherans, so I'll leave that aside.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.

Grrrr I can't debate mobile.

But the correct translation is A god, 'The word was a god.' This does not make him Jehovah god the true god. God is a title, like admin. The bible refers to Satan as a god to, 'The god of this system of things.' But you're not saying he's THE god. Jesus is the same. A god, but not Jehovah God. Jesus was an angel at first, the very first angel, hence the scripture ' all things were created THROUGh him' (or however it's worded, going by memory for now, scriptures later).

If that's not enough, there's also a scripture where Jesus states he does nothing but the will of the FATHER and only him. If Jesus was god, why would he need go through Jehovah to do anything? Better yet, if Jesus was god why would he not just say 'my will'? Why do we have to pray 'in jesus name we pray?' If Jesus was god we would not need to go through him in praying. We would pray to him directly.

I'll give better debate WHEN I CAN.

You claim that the New World Translation is the right version...
http://www.towerwatch.com/Witnesses/New_World_Translation/john_11.htm

Jesus was flesh on Earth, flesh of God. While he is of God, he still prayed to his Father on Earth. The scripture still says that Jesus was the flesh of the Scripture.

Acts 9:5 -
He said: ?Who are you, Lord?? He said: ?I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

..That's from the New World Translation. It referred to Jesus as Lord. Not lord. Lord.

John 8:58
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
