Title: Learn about the Alchemist Faotemaru~ [DONE]
Post by: Embodiment of Cringe on June 19, 2011, 10:00:10 PM
So, it's time to continue my long string of poasts in the Dossier. Not about the Solstici, but about Faote, that silly Alchemist I gave to Nisorin. You know what that means! Multiple posts of me explaining everything in great detail!

(NOTE: Nothing here pertains to False Heaven unless something about the Alchemist himself is directly related to him. You will not find anything here worth your time to take over the place.)

Let's bring up his character profile first and foremost, and then remake it with the new template. All the interesting stuff will be in the next post.

Name: Faotemaru Veintarlach Derahnad
Age: unknown (Seriously, he's been around since the OK. How the crap am I supposed to know?)
Race: Chimera (Mostly human, possesses raven-like wings due to... You know, just read the biography.)
Alliance: None (For now anyways.)
Biography: Check out the Wiki page (http://galactic.wikia.com/wiki/Faotemaru)
Weapons: Various firearms, Melee Weapons, and Alchemic tools (pistols, scythes, shotguns, swords, whatever he can alchemize on the spot)
Equipment: Man-Made Philosopher's stone, Alchemist Chalk, Holo-transmutation producer (Just look under tech once I post it.)
Magic Level: 5
Force Level: 0
Appearance: Here (http://i50.tinypic.com/prnlv.jpg). I've spent way too much time on this already, I'll have a nicely typed description soon. Until then, I have to make this guy's tech.

The links are broken, and the Wiki page was destroyed by yours truly in a fit of unjustified rage. I should be punished somehow. Buuuut that can wait for another time. For now, let's redo this profile in the updated format and add in current, up-to-date stuff.

Quote
Faotemaru Veintarlach Derahnad
(http://i50.tinypic.com/prnlv.jpg)
Age:
He's been around since the OK. Someone figure it out for me please.
 Gender:
Male
Race:
Chimeran Human. He has changed his body structure and biology to a point that although he takes the human form, he is far from his humanity. He even used to have wings and raven-like organs in him.
Place Of Birth:
Earth, somewhere in Europe
OCCUPATION:
Was head admin of False Heaven, now just a simple alchemist.
 Personality:
Faotemaru does not think highly of himself and finds himself scared in front of many situations to the point where all hope seems to drain from him. He is constantly fearing attacks from a god, as if he is to be punished for all the sins he committed in alchemy ever since he was merely 25, and constantly compares himself negatively towards others that may or may not even be stronger than him.
But, there is another side of him that comes up very rarely. This side, is pure anger towards everything, a wish to see all before him dead if needed. He has only ever shown this side on certain, select fights such as in the tournament against one of Orph's characters, or when he is dead set on protecting his homunculus (Whom he regards as his own daughter.) to any means necessary. To see this side of Faote is something to be feared, for if this side is to ever surface, he will stop at absolutely nothing, no matter how impossible it may be, to accomplish what he has set forth to do. Even if it means his own death or to fall into insanity.

Alliance:
False Heaven, but mostly himself.
Biography:
... Where to start.
Faote was born somewhere in Europe, during the OK timeline. His entire extended family along with his mother and father lived together, worshiping a single entity. Zere. Rather than getting the love he needed as a growing child, he was instead pushed aside and forced to worship this entity along with his parents. This did not sit with him all that well, and eventually began to hate the supposed 'god.' After a few years of this continued treatment towards him, there was a day where his entire family laid before him, dead, their blood splattered all over the place, dying the Derahnad family estate in a deadly crimson. Fire, smoke, the stench of all of those dead filled the air, and Faote saw the only other person beside him that might have caused it. Zere. It was through smoke, but he was absolutely sure it was him.
His family treated him like crap. But, they were family nonetheless. And for his own family to be killed at the hands of their own 'god' was something that even he pitied. And he began to research the Philosopher's stone. A stone that, would give him power beyond everything imaginable, and the object that would first delve the Alchemist into the world of magic. And for multiple years, he researched and through thousands of cycles through trial and error, he had made it. A Philosopher's stone. And with it, he warped to the Midnight Align, the supposed place that Zere once dwelled. And in this place, he trained himself through rigorous trials, even going so far as to injure himself, to burn away pieces of his flesh even, only to heal and start anew. By the time he was done, he was a level 4 or 5 magic wielder, no doubt about it. Later, he would create Katherine, the Homunculus in the form of a giant black Raven, whom would help him in battle. But soon enough, this homunculus ceased to be considered a tool for battle and instead a valued family member. Where his parents had failed to take care of him, he would attempt to succeed with Katherine.
However, in (Not posted anywhere, it's assumed it happened at some point.) Faote and Zere's next encounter, there was a fight. And in this fight, Zere had slain Katherine and fled. Unable to house his guilt and unending regret, and fully knowing that Katherine's spirit would not be accepted in any afterlife, he took Katherine and placed her spirit in his body, and his wings, forever being the container for Katherine, to forever be the house that allows Katherine's spirit to rest in peace. Through this synthesis between Katherine's Spirit and Soul with Faote, his magic level shot up to level 6. It was, however, unimportant to him. He now had another reason to kill Zere. And it was a personal reason.
Faote, when he entered the realm of SP, was killed by Prophet, and the prophet stole his Philosopher's stone. And through the afterlife, Faote was given another chance to live, despite every defiance and act of god he had committed, and was given a body to live with through the help of Vincent. Of course, this was something that had to be done. If it wasn't, Katherine's spirit would have dissipated to nothingness, and he would have failed as a father.
His activities between then and the construction of False Heaven are unknown, all except for the tournament. In this tournament, he had slain Koty with the Lance of Longinus, a spear he had summoned from the very heavens above, and impaled Koty 8 times, all at once with 8 'copies' of the spear, along with gaining another Philosopher stone in that same fight. It was mentioned that a person with a weak spirit would not be able to wield the lance, and despite the Alchemist's meek personality, he wielded it with no problem. In fact, one could say it's abilities were multiplied by some number with him wielding. It was then, after the tournament, Prophet met him, and after a heated argument, instructed him to flee to another time to escape the wrath of Hikaru. This was impossible, so Faote did the next best thing: create a near impenetrable space station known as False Heaven. Why it would take anyone and everyone, providing everyone a place to live at absolutely no cost was a mystery to everyone but Faote himself. One may assume it was his fatherly side that allowed this to happen. Nevertheless, the alchemist hid out here until it was confirmed that he wasn't being chased.
Ever since then, Faote participated in a few events of no real importance, in which any involvement he had was next to nil. However, there was one thing that did happen to him though. He was drafted by some of Nisorin's characters (their names escape me.) to help them in a war that would affect the balance between magic and technology. After some pushing from Prophet, Faote decided to go through with it, allowing Captain Hasley to take over as Head admin and said his goodbyes to Katherine, Shu 001, along with a few other androids and acquaintances. And after he left False Heaven, he disappeared into his lab of an undisclosed location, never to come out again.
To this day, it is assumed that Hasley has absolute control of False Heaven along with Eve, the space station's power source and core of everything.

 Weapons:
  • Various Firearms
  • A celestial enchanted Scythe
Magic Level:
6, though his epoch circles probably make it close to 6.2. He's pretty fucking powerful.

Fears:
  • Death of Katherine, Eve, Shu 001, or any of the homunculi or androids he's created.
  • Dying before he finished what he set out to do in the first place: kill Zere.
  • Failing
Interests:
  • His 'children' that he creates.
  • Keeping up with False Heaven
  • Alchemy
Not much else.
Aspirations:
  • Kill Zere.
ORIENTATION:
He doesn't give a damn about companionship. As long as he can protect his loved children, all is right in his love life.
RELATIONSHIP/MARITIAL STATUS:
Single Father. *Ba dum pish!*

There you go, Faote's profile perfectly recreated if I were to take control of him again. But as far as I'm concerned, Nisorin owns him, so it's up to him if he ever wants to do anything with him.

Next time, we'll get into some nitty gritty stuff, like exactly what the hell Faote has done to himself over the years, and what abilities he has, along with the multiple safeguards that will keep him alive, even after dying, to fulfill his eternal duty of protecting his children.

Heya there, time for another not so exciting installment about learning about this crazy Alchemist Faote. Yeah, I'm probably the only one that cares about this topic, but hey! I had sooo much planned for this guy, I had to get it out sometime. Why not now when he's no longer mine?

Earlier, I mentioned that Faote was a Chimeran Human in his biography. That was probably not the best word, as we already have chimeras in the RP already. But, you can't really say he was artificially enhanced either, because being enhanced means you took what you already had and made it better. That is not the case for our Alchemist, Faote. What Faote has done to himself over the years is exactly what it says in his bio. He has messed with his own biology so much that he can't be considered human anymore. But what does this mean?
1. The Alchemist has streamlined his bodily functions to their fullest. Blood veins take shortcuts and organs work less as hard.
2. Completely remade his organs and rearranged them to work as streamlined as possible. His organs work in conjunction with one another so well now that he could quite literally live hundreds of years without the help of a philosopher's stone.
3. Restructured his muscle tissue, his skeletal layout (His bones, though they form the human shape, are completely different) and practically every aspect about his insides to be as sturdy and strong as possible. He may look weak and unassuming at first glance, but he could stop a train with a finger, and a meteor if he ever tried.
4. Inlaid lots of Epoch Circles and alchemic seals and circles on his bones and organs as well for future changes, or if he wanted to change something about his body in the middle of battle.

So wait, why do all this? The guy can already live forever, why bother strengthening his own body? Why even bother with all of this stuff? There are a few reasons.
1. Of course he can live forever. But his main purposes in his life that he has given to himself are the following: Protect his Homunculi, and defeat Zere.
2. Out of guilt, actually. All the stuff he's done when he had was an actual human still kinda scars him, and when he died and would be judged, he would be determined not to be judged as a human, but as an entirely different species entirely. It would be a species that only he would have, and he has gone to the lengths to make sure of this. Anything he did, he was sure not to pin it on the rest of humanity. It was his fault alone, and Faote is willing to take that blame.

We know what the hell Faote has done to himself now, and how he cannot be called a human. But what kind of abilities does the guy have now? Faote has magic, and he's not afraid to make use of technology either. The guy also has alchemy and epoch circles... and... uh... That's it. There's not much else about him in terms of firepower. Sure he's amazingly strong, but there's not much else. But, he does have a variety of Safeguards to keep himself alive, and for good reason. Those reasons being his life long missio- You know what, I'm going to assume you know this already if you've read any of the last post. Let's get to those damn safeguards.
1. The Epoch circles within him. When he dies and his spirit leaves his mortal body, he plans to activate these circles inside of him and do some messing around, assuming the Philosopher stone is still on his body. If it is not, there are still regular alchemic circles still in his body that he can mess with, but he can't do as much with those as he can the epoch circles. We're talking maybe a few quick fixes. And in the case he can't get to these circles or his spirit cannot activate them...
2. Clones, or more precisely, Homunculi in his far off hidden lab that do not have anything about them making them 'live' per say. They are Spiritless, Soulless. All Faote has to do is go to these Homunculi in spirit form and voila, he has a body again. If he somehow cannot do either of these things...
3. Store himself in the Philosopher stone. No one can use the damn thing anyways except him. Once would-be thieves realize this, they only need to throw it aside. And in there he would stay with whatever Spirit he had with him until someone that actually knew what to do with it would come along and do stuff with it or take him somewhere. But this method is quite silly, so the final safeguard would be...
4. Dispersing his spirit energy everywhere across the Shattered Planes. He'd be quite literally everywhere. And eventually, one speck of that spirit energy is going to hit something important, and all the rest of his spirit would soon gravitate towards it.

There are a few others, but they get a tad crazier and crazier, and probably goes out of the scope for this RP. One of these methods include ungrounding, while another includes something like splitting his spirit in half and doing all sorts of complicated stuff with it. The only real thing you need to know is that Faote is dead set on keeping alive so that he may accomplish his goals.

Next time, we'll go over a brief look of some future plans I had with this crazy guy.

Not much else to explain after this future stuff!

Now, we'll be getting into the Embodiment of Heat, the truth about Zere's innocence, what Faote has housed inside of him this entire time, and finally, the fate of False Heaven.

Let's start with Zere, since that's the thing that occurs first and foremost in everything. Once this event is understood, everything else can be understood. Therefore, I shall release this shocking statement (That maybe only one or two people care about.)

Zere did not kill anyone from Faote's family. Think that's crazy? Here's something else.

Faote did it. [insert 'ZOMFG' here]

You see, Faote has a dark side to him, a negative side that feeds on everything bad that happens to him. It started as a split personality back when he was just a child, but once he was introduced to magic and the dark energies of alchemy, this side began to grow to something more. In truth, Faote began to have two separate spirits.
This spirit could be compared to a Negi. In fact, one could say it was a fake Negi of sorts, but it is all the same a Negi. Faote's other spirit took control Faote at his most possible weakest point and slaughtered his own family (Except his father, but that'll be explained later.). After the carnage had stopped, before the spirit gave control back to Faote, he left him with one word: Zere.

And ever since then, Faote had disillusioned himself. As far as he knew, Zere did everything.

Let's move on to the Negi inside Faote. It's basically just sitting there. I suppose stuff would happen to Faote during this event since Negi are doing all sorts of stuff, but I have no way to mess with him to act out his part in the event. At any rate, the Negi is Faote, just much more angrier and wants to murder stuff. He also kinda wants to troll the original Faote every now and then by playing mind games, and will occasionally even help the guy in certain fights so as to keep Faote from going batshit insane from losing everything.

Alright, new event to talk about. Faote's death when he first came into SP. This other spirit was not with him. The main thing to note is that the Prophet killed him with his dagger, which contains a buncha souls and spirits. The Prophet stored Faote's Negi inside his dagger when he killed him, and took the alchemist's philosopher's stone. However, the Negi regenerated itself through Faote's constant negative outlook, and was back in full force by the time Faote was done creating False Heaven.

Embodiment of Heat time. The Embodiment of Heat derives off of the belief that Heat = Life, since stars generate warmth and potentially create life and infinite amounts of energies till they die, while cold things are more often than not associated with death. This can be applied to a real world example quite easily: You tend to sleep much, much better when you're warm as if you're safe from harm, in comparison to if you're cold, you can't ever fall asleep and your body tries to stay awake, as if anticipating something.
So, what about this embodiment of heat? Here's another shocking statement.

Faote's Father is the Embodiment of Heat. Or was, anyways. Now, his father is the Prophet, a shadow of his former self and the power he once held. After the carnage Faote caused, his father survived. And after witnessing the horrors his own son committed, he made it his solemn duty to help Faote, whether it involved killing him, or helping him enough to rid him of the negi inside him. And from then on, it can be assumed that Faote's Father went on to researching the philosopher's stone as well and made one himself, or at least an incomplete one. Once he had that, he could freely travel the cosmos to gain the necessary power to help Faote.
In his travels, he met the previous Embodiment of Heat. This Embodiment, impressed with the Father's resolve for his mission, named him the heir to being the Embodiment of Heat, and a year after that, the embodiment had died. Faote's Father was the Embodiment from then on.

Now here is where it gets iffy. I kinda dunno what happens here, because I can't think of a reason for whatever happens here yet. The main gist in this part is that Faote's Father loses his Embodiment of Heat Status and is stripped of his humanity, and is reduced to nothing more than a humanoid creature with a cloak and a dagger. The Prophet. Technically, I'm wanting to lean it towards that this status was sealed inside of him through an event, but eh.

After this, Faote's father notices that the dagger he possesses holds spirits and souls of those he kills. And then he gets the first idea of how to help his son: absorb the Negi within Faote by killing him. He knew his own son would die in the process, but even then the father knew that death is only merely temporary. He successfully kills Faote with his dagger and absorbs the Negi within Faote. This Negi, however, also contained the negative feelings of Faote as well, along with the residual feelings of Faote's dead family after they died. If one listened to the dagger carefully, one could hear blood curdling screaming.

But, this failed. The Negi inside Faote was still growing, regenerating. So, Faote's Father gets an idea: to call himself the Prophet and set up a 'prophecy' of sorts to fulfill one sole thing: Cure Faote of the Negi inside him. And once he took this role, he was forever known as the Prophet. He would ocassionally show up near Faote to give him tidbits of the 'prophecy' to drive him to do certain things, which would drive him ever closer to his self healing.

So how would the Prophet cure Faote this time, since forcefully taking out the Negi wouldn't work? He had one plan: Make Faote the Embodiment of Heat. He can't name him as an heir since he has no access to his embodiment status, so he would figure that he would force the embodiment status onto Faote through other means. The Philosopher's stone he stole from Faote when he first killed him was the first piece of the puzzle. He stole it in the first place so the Negi wouldn't regenerate from it, but it turned out that it would regenerate no matter what. So now the stone he had in his possession would serve a different purpose.
The stone was linked to Faote's Soul. The Prophet would give his life to loosen the Embodiment status from his body, and force it in the stone he stole, and then infuse it into Faote through spirit energy.
Now, we're talking about Embodiment stuff here, so spirit energy from one person wouldn't be enough. This is where False Heaven comes into play.

The true purpose of False Heaven is to gain Spirit Energy from it's residents whenever the time came to force Embodiment status into Faote. However, the space station was built in such a way to the point where that wasn't necessary: Faote had made the structure powerful enough to do it all by itself. And if that wasn't enough, most, if not all of the residents adored the Alchemist. He was nice to them all, understanding, and seemed to love each and every single of them. Or most of them anyways. When the time came, if False Heaven could not provide the Spirit energy it needed, the adoration and love for the Alchemist everyone had would have surely provided enough for it.

"Wait, Faote built False Heaven. He had all this in mind?"

No. Remember, the Prophet tricked Faote into Fleeing from Hikaru and Koty after the Plex tournament, to go back into time. However, when he couldn't do this, Faote did the next best thing and made False Heaven, a nigh impenetrable space station. Probably the best reason why Negative energy could overpower False Heaven if only for a few minutes was because the creator of the station himself was full of Negative energy.

The main thing here is that, once Faote inherited the Embodiment of Heat status, the properties of the Embodiment status itself would 'burn' away the Negative energy inside him itself. Or if not, making Faote aware of this side inside of him (finally) and do an epic fight of awesome proportions. Faote vs. Faote! That would have been an amazing fight, no?

That's it. That's everything to explain! I'll probably work on that story with the card games next.

Does Nis and company still need him for anything or is he free to do whatever?

He's always free to do whatever, whether the Sons need him or not. lol He already did them a massive favor by letting them live on False Heaven.
