Negi on this planet were busy planning for war. They wanted a war which would be disastrous. They wanted a war which would cause the entire universe to crumble. This became a new base for their campaign. Negi were thriving here as they prepared for battle, and they would not be destroyed.
-
Death appeared, wearing a dark robe that hid his face. A great dark iron lance in his hand as the Negis around him fell to the ground, dead or dying by his very presence. He moved faster then anyone could see, an army of reapers followed in his wake. Cutting the Negis down with scythes, or strangling them with their skeletal hands, most died at their very touch.
-
The result was an epic battle. Any outside observers would not be able to comprehend what was happening. The negi fought the reapers and Death, going head-to-toe with them and challenging them, trying to corrupt their very existence.
-
The Negis that touched the reapers died upon contact, and most couldn't even make it within a hundred feet of Death, as his aura weakened them the closer they got, and if they did have the strength to make it within range, they'd find a lance in their heart before they even knew what happened. Death was the quickest thing in the universe, and you never knew when it was going to strike.
-
The negi were not mindless drones. In fact, they were usually masters of strategy. They knew that they could not attack via physical contact. So, they didn't...
Swirling vortexes of negative energy began to pick the reapers up. The reapers were death. They led one to the afterlife, but even the afterlife would have to fight hard against the being known as Plex. Negative reapers began to appear, beings of pure darkness, which started to go up against the reapers... A reaper led a mortal to death. A negireaper led a reaper to death, sealing away his power over death itself.
The reapers would not return.
-
These were not the reapers that guided a spirit to the afterlife, these were the TRUE reapers. They were the sons of Death, they did not die as they did not live. The Reapers fought back against the negative energy, half the army sacrificed itself to form spirit energy barriers around the remaining Reapers, who were then unaffected by the negative energy. And with they continued to cut down the Negis, dragging them to death kicking and screaming. Death grinned behind the shadow that covered his face, he picked off the more intelligent Negis that took command, most of the time he just stood on the tallest building on the planet. And watched.
-
Negi would not go down without a fight, of course.
They pushed the reapers down into death, quickly learning their game. The reapers were neither alive nor dead, but they could steel meet death. They could still exist in death. They could be sent to the afterlife. And so, they were.
-
Yet more appeared, when one died another appeared. They were not restricted by the laws of life and death, they may die only to come back and kill more. They were Death, unstoppable, you can slow it down all you want. But it will win in the end.
-
Another stalemate had been reached, and the two forces kept fighting for hours.
-
Yet it was not a stalemate, for each Reaper that died another was revived, the same could not be said about the Negis, who were being slowly reduced to nothing. They were losing their key Negis as well, as Death picked off the important ones.
-
The negireapers also kept coming back. They eventually learned that fighting the reapers like they were doing would not work. They began sealing the reapers inside their scythes instead of killing them.
-
Death started to get more involved as he noticed the Negi reapers, his lance was piercing not only their bodies but their spirits. Causing permanent death, he was also doing it quickly. His Reapers were his children, for them to die, or be sealed away was blasphemy.
-
"Come now," a voice echoed throughout the planet as Molohik appeared in the sky, "You're not playing very fair, are you? Leave this situation to the mortals, why don't you?"
The negireapers kept appearing, though they generally tried to avoid the sting of Death. Molihik watched their show, amused.
-
"You are my inferior," Death called out, it's voice was like Death itself. It seeped the life from your bones, and rendered all that heard it closer to his touch. "Follow my command." Death ordered, appeared before Decay with an obvious aura of anger.
The True Reapers continued to fight, their own spiritual energy barriers defended them from most Negi/Negi-reaper attacks. Half were focused on normal negis, while the others followed their enemies example, sealing them in their scythes everytime they killed one.
-
"Go home to your daddy, kid," Molihik replied, spitting in Death's face before disappearing, reappearing some miles away. Molihik's spit was black as night and began to spread across Death's face, burning. Corrupting. Death knew corruption as well, but he could not be near as talented at it as Molihik.
After all, Molihik WAS decay. And you didn't fuck with decay.
The negi army had already pretty much been destroyed. The negi-reapers, on the other hand, had not. They, too, began to raise Negative Spiritual Energy barriers to defend them from Reaper attacks. Their scythes slowly absorbed the spiritual energy that made up the reaper barriers, serving to further strengthen the Negative Spiritual Energy barriers.
-
The Negi reapers found themselves at a lost for their own power over Death, cut off by the Embodiment himself.
The spit hurt and wounded Death, yet could not kill him. Appearing behind Decay, Death struck out with his lance. Faster then light in his own movements.
-
...But Decay vanished.
Negi fell, as did the negi-reaper, and it seemed that the battle had been lost. And by all accords, maybe, to some extent, it had. However; it was not happy. Decay was not happy either. This had been a loss, and losses were unacceptable.
The very force of decay, not the embodiment himself but that which he was, began to rain upon the planet en masse. Corrupting. Destroying.
-
The negativity left this planet and everything returned to normal.
