Title: The acceptance.
Post by: K2 on June 24, 2011, 07:37:03 PM
The battle was over, but the war still raged on at the planet known as Shore. As the council members and senior officers left his office, Eric Mann got a few hours of sleep at his desk before awakening and replaying the transmission he had received from the INTERPOL. He'd been thinking over it heavily for the last few days, but had not yet made a decision. Could he manage Senatorial duties (hopefully) as well as a spot in the INTERPOL?

He found it hard to believe that negi had somehow managed to so easily attack the homeworld of the Zarethian people. He held a devastating secret that nobody in the Zarethian Empire would ever know, too. He'd known about the attack. He'd known that Tefillin was going to be invaded. He had been warned, and he deliberately said nothing to anyone else.

The fact that his employers could know that an attack of this magnitude was coming frightened him.

It was 2 A.M. in the morning at the capital, but Eric Mann fixed his hair and sent a video transmission to the INTERPOL headquarters.

"Administrator Mark Halsey," he greeted, "I am Eric Mann, senatorial candidate for the Zarethian Empire senate and current director of the Zarethian Hand. First, I'd like to thank you and your staff for considering me to take the role of Agency Supervisor. After much consideration, I have decided to accept your offer. It would be an honor to serve under the chairman's guidance as a part of your organization. I look forward to meeting you face-to-face soon. Thank you."

He sent the transmission without a shred of doubt in his mind.

The Zarethians had the incoming and outcoming traffic analyzed. They read the message. Eric Mann should have known that he had to check with the government before he could accept such a position. An automated reminder was sent to him.

(Well, since the Zarethians are under the INTERPOL treaty, Mann should be allowed to accept positions with them.)

(Yes, but he needs to have the permission of the council/senate to do so. He cant just go willy nilly. Too many senators in or siding with InterPol will be rather bad for the senate.)

Eric Mann noticed the transmission from traffic control but ignored it. It was a minor politic. He boarded an escort ship and took off for False Heaven immediately. It was only early morning in the capital as his escort took off. The sun had not even come up yet. He still knew that it was going to be a long day.
