A transport the requisition request was placed by the Zarethian Hand to the office of Addler Vas Vaccon.
<< Requesting authorization to transport the suspect known as Lustre to Max Security Prison Complex 7 immediately. >>
-
OOC: It wouldnt be a prison so much as a holding area.
Addler, who was on the City of the Suvian forwarded a confirmation to the Hand.
-
OOc: that's fine.
Yairhoff Haydenn approached Lustre's cell, ever so silent, accompanied by four agents.
"Get up," he ordered Lustre as he entered the holding room.
-
Standing up slowly, Aseron looked at the hand agents."You do realize there is a chance I can be found innocent right? And even if I am not, my family is well taken care of thanks to the arrangement I have made."
----
Elsewhere on the planet, Aseron's wife and kids were now rejoicing at the fact they were all billionaires.
-
"Thats for a court to decide," agent Haydenn replied, "In the meanwhile, we have a few... Questions to ask you."
He handcuffed Lustre with anti-magic shackles, his hands behind his back, and an additional, small AM field was deployed around him from a portable generator which one of the agents was carrying. Haydenn started to lead Lustre out of his cell, and the agents followed.
-
The body of Aseron began to shake violently as the nanobots in his system that had been put there by Lucas earlier, during the first time Ezra had met him began to activate. They began to attack the immune system and the body of Aseron simultaneously causing him massive amounts of pain. "Why is this happening to me?" He lashed out, the AM suddenloy short-circuiting or so it would seem as a construct blade shot forward from his hand towards Yaiden.
-
Haydenn quickly tazered Lustre, hopefully with enough of a jolt to deactivate the nanites. Nanites couldn't short circuit the AM, it was impossible. Haydenn easily was out of range of the blade, as Lustre was still handcuffed.
-
"Argh..."
A voice could be heard in Aseron's mind.
You have failed us for the last time. Now DIE!
The tazering did not work exactly as intended, it only made the power of the nanites increase by 50 fold. They would soon cause Aseron unbelievable agony, and erase his mind completely making him not competent to stand trial, the only way to stop them would be to deactivate the AM and purge them from his system with magic. Only would that be wise to do for him since he could not do it himself?
-
However; the nannies would be unable to live if Lustre was dead. When Haydenn realized that they were dealing with nannies, he took out his pulse riffle and shot Lustre.
-
The blast killed Lustre, but the rune on his flesh sent his spirit into a golem instead.
-
The rune was unsuccessful, there was still an AM field up. A crash cart was rushed to Lustre and the EMTs began to revive him. When he was revived, the nannies would have been forced out of his body.
-
"What happened?" His memory had been completely wiped blank by the machines. Completely erased. Not one single memory of anything remained within the head of Aseron. "Who are you? Why am I cuffed?"
-
"DAMNIT," he cursed. The nannies had not left his body, so reason implied that they had been disabled by the pulse blast. He ordered for the transport of Lustre to resume. He was taken to a prisoner transport ship, filled with AM.
-
Normally a pulse blast would have worked, had these not been EMP resistant nanites that had been in his body. And they still were erasing memories Aseron had, 12 years so far had been erased. Only more would need to be erased and then, all would be gone. 24 years remained to be erased by the machines, and the Am shackles began to overheat. The IG was doing something so that Aseron would be unable to reveal anything about them whatsoever, thankfully Lucas had taken this precaution earlier.
-
Inside the ship, Lustre was put to sleep. A brain surgeon who was rushed to the transport along with a team began to open up Lustre's head. They were going to stop these nannies, one way or another.
-
The nanites had almost succeeded by now. Nearly 90% of his memories had been wiped away, everything from after his child hood had been completely erased from his mind by the machines. The only way to get them to deactivate would be to lower the Am, and send Aseron enough magic to cause his immune system to activate since he had taken a drug to boost it, and notice the nanites as foreign. These nanites could not replicate as easily and thus would be ousted by his immune system. Restoring his memories however would be impossible.
-
The brain surgeon began to manually remove the nanites carefully.
-
The brain surgeon would get a painful jolt from each nanite. They had been damaged. The AM had damaged the nanites, and was the cause of their malfunction and the problems in this area. The nanites began to dig into the brain of Aseron, without killing him and embed themselves there fusing with the brain itself.
-
The brain surgeon started patching Lustre back up.
-
Still the damage was done. It would seem they could get no useful information out of him as his memories had been COMPLETELY obliterated by the machines, which would lead someone to wonder what they were dealing with here.
-
"Sir, these nanites are similar in design to reports we are getting from an ongoing Narrikian attack on a Hand facility on Terraguove," an agent reported as the transport ascended.
"Notify the council at once," Haydenn ordered.
The agent nodded and radiod to headquarters.
-
But the transmission would not go through.
Why does your transmissions not work?
It is simple really Yaiden. For I just don't wish them to work. Those words would come through the speakers on the ship.
And no, this is not a Narrikian attack. Contrary to popular belief, they have NO knowledge of this. So here is my ultimatum. You turn yourself in as the masked one that attacked Aseron, or I restore his memories to the full.
-
The comm was a secure frequency. It would take a lot more than that to hijack the frequency. The transmission got through. When Haydenn heard the voice, he merely grinned.
"A likely story. Then who is behind this attack?"
-
Heh. If I told you it would spoil all the fun. But here is a riddle for you that will give you a slight hint. The price is right. Victor was laughing from behind his console that he had hijacked that allowed him to control all Zarethian transmissions.
-
OOC: Such a console would be under a secure government lock down.
Giving hints to a bunch of agents who were trained for intellegance only meant you wanted to be found. So, Yairhoff had to wonder just why this man DID want to be discovered. Either he was lying about his identity, or maybe he was working for someone higher. Those two possibilities made the most sense to Haydenn. Was this man just a pawn?
The price is right... Price.
He sighed. Riddles were useless distractions.
"Who ARE you!?" he demanded.
-
Your doom in approximately 12 minutes and 48 seconds.
A code flashed across the consoles in the vehicle.
WARNING. SELF DESTRUCT HAS BEEN ENGAGED! Please clear the vehicle.
-
"Sir, we have to evacuate now," an agent said.
"Negative," Haydenn replied, "You all go ahead. I'm staying behind. We can not allow the prisoner to escape."
"But sir -"
"GO!" Haydenn ordered.
Everyone but Haydenn and Lustre evacuated through the docking locks. They were all wearing parachutes. The transport was set on autopilot, but it would not reach it's destination within the next twelve minutes.
-
The auto pilot got a new set of coordinates and flew towards a concealed BG ship that was on Teffilin and had been here for weeks without anyone knowing, the Am in the ship going offline. The self destruct turned off, and AT and Ap fields turned on.
I'll make you a little deal. If you survive, I'll let you keep Aseron. He is of no further use now that Mann is out of the picture.
-
"Mann is dead!?" Haydenn yelled out, grabbing a hold of Lustre, who still had AM cuffs on him even with the chamber down. The cuffs were not networked and could not be disabled.
-
No, but he is no longer part of the hand. And soon will lose his seat in the senate. Which means only Decadea remains. Lustre was to handle both of them according to your laws and legalities. Whcih he failed to do. And as to where i get my information, don't ask. Now. Here is how it is going to go down. You are going to enter the ship with Lustre. You are then going to remove his cuffs. If you fail to do either your family might not be so fortunate Yaiden.
-
"Mann does not have to resign until he wins the election. With Lustre out of the race, he will... And you leave my family out of this!"
He pulled his Pulse rifle out and pointed it at Lustre.
"Who ARE you!?"
-
Uh oh. I wouldn't do that if I were you. For as far as you know, your victory over Lustre could come at the price of your family losing their life. And indeed it would be true.
Now free him. From the cuffs, then wake him up. Hand him all weapons you carry.
-
A loud thud hit the top of the transport fighter, and then the docking locks door entered as a clone of Empty entered the transport.
"Are you the one who's doing all this!?!?" Yairhoff demanded.
"No," Empty replied, "I'm here to stop him."
"How!?" he demanded.
"By finding out just where he is."
He walked over to a communications terminal and accessed the file system, bypassing its initial functions. He had not seen a system like this in many years. He looked over to Haydenn.
"Enter your password, then get this prisoner away from here," Empty said.
"But they... They have my family."
"Your family is safe. Don't worry. Now, please, enter your password."
Haydenn entered his password into the terminal, and Empty got to work on tracing Victor. As Haydenn secured Lustre, Empty looked over to him.
"Inform your superiors that the man responsible for all this is named Victor .Y. Price. He is, as far as we can tell, a Black Guard terrorist responsible for multiple attacks on your emperor. Please relay the sympathies of the Narrakians to your empire."
"Thank you."
Haydenn grabbed Lustre and steered him to an escape pod in the corner of the room. It would be cramped, but they would escape.
