Yairhoff and Lustre's escape pod had landed, conveniently, about fifty miles from where Haydenn was taking Lustre. A Hand vehicle arrived at the crash site and brought them to the complex where Lustre was placed in a holding cell room under max security with all sorts of anti fields, incliding AM, AT, and AP. The complex itself was hidden on the eastern of the two main continents within a remote desert.
-
Lustre woke up, his memory still gone. "Where am I?"
-
Lustre would find himself strapped down to a chair, with heavy anti fields all around him. He had been stripped of his clothes and placed in prison clothes. The room he was in was dark, and he would not be able to see anything but that around him. A bright spot light was shining right in his face. From somewhere in the room, a deep, disguised voice spoke up.
"Who are you working for?"
-
"No one. Why ask questions?" It was obvious that he did not remember anything. His ties with Ezra and everything had been erased by Victor.
-
"I will ask you once more," the voice replied, "Who do you work for?"
-
"I don't work for anyone." His memory had been totally wiped clean of the guy who was pulling strings.
-
A small jolot of electricity ran through the chair. It would feel to Lustre as if he had just been shot, but it was certain ly not lethal. The voice yelled out, this time harshly, "WHO DO YOU WORK FOR!?"
-
But he did not answer, for he could not. His memory was gone, and nothing short of repairing his brain could change that.
-
"When was the last time you contacted Victor Price?" the voice now asked.
-
"Never. I don't know a price." His words were truthful. He had no ties to Victor.
-
"Who is your contact within the Black Guard?" the voice asked.
-
"What is the Black Guard?" This was only a sign of how much he had forgotten.
-
"Who is your contact within the Black Guard?" the voice asked again, now a bit more harsh.
-
He did not say anything, for he did not have a contact in the black guard.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!"
-
Another jolt of electricity was sent through his chair as the voice yelled out, "WHO IS YOUR CONTACT WITHIN THE BLACK GUARD!?"
-
His response was the same as before. And it was honest. Someone had framed Aseron.
"I DON'T know anyone in the black guard. "
-
"Then you know what the Black Guard is," the voice said.
-
"No." He didn't know that either.
-
"You just said you didn't know anyone in the Black Guard. You're implying that you know what the black guard is," the voice pointed out.
-
"All I know is that you are mentioning the word Black Guard. But what does it mean?"
His memory was still 95% gone.
-
"You tell me. What was your mission?" the voice asked now.
-
A hand agent came and released Aseron. A full pardon was given to him, and it was public. The shackles he had were removed, and he was given his belongings back. Then he walked outside, and his magic somehow fixed his memories. Well sort of. He did not remember much of the hand's interference and so he would get back in the race.
