Title: Gifts from Fioa
Post by: Zero on August 02, 2011, 03:47:51 PM
Jeebus allowed me to request three pieces of tech.

So here they are.

Anti-Glassing Shield
Taking the shielding tech of Fioa and making it able to resist said beams Katrina has had this added to the planetary defense web that is around Memorial so that no glassing beam will ever work on them again. Unless of course it bypasses the shield which comes in 4 layers, one of which consists entirely of portals so as to absorb the beams and redirect them back at the enemy ships, another which actually reflects or causes the beams to bounce back, a 3rd which blocks them for a short amount of time and the fourth which actually stops the beams. Towers to emit this exist on planets, but only ones big enough to cover entire countries at a time as they have yet to build a planet sized one.

Armor System Core:
Because AI Delta hacked them, the original armors were deemed unsafe and thus could not be used, but thanks to Katrina some modifications have been made with the aid of Fioan science and technology. The armor has been improved upon and can now resist AI Delta due to a closed network with highest grade encryption they could put into the armor.

Weapon wise, it does not incorporate a simple blaster but has the ability to fire solar lasers from the hands of the thing. Flight is capable due to iron man style boot jets. Other weapons and modifications include a Multi Blade system adapted to run off of Narrikian stuff along with a constructor system and an artificial Psi system along with an AAM emitter. The strength and speed boost this armor is capable of is twice that of ZPAA. . Construction and devour nanites have been added so it can repair the wearer, and assimilate or destroy enemy tech and weapons. This has been nicknamed the One man wrecking crew by some. The armor may be hard to move in, but that will eventually be addressed.

Upgraded AAM
AAM that is stronger, and can last longer. To most scanners that can detect it, nothing would show up. Because once more this is an upgraded form of Aam.

Yes, I allowed these since he IC'ly commissioned them from Fioa.

Like I said the Anti-Glassing Shield would be overpowerable.

The Armor System, the Fioans would have no such metal. Also given it's a metal suit it would be hard to move in and therein there'd be no speed boost. Aside from that approved.

Upgraded AAM approved.

Edited accordingly.

One thing with the armor..  nothing is unhackable. Nothing is completely secure, plus the Fioans don't know exactly what Delta is besides a highly advanced AI.

This is true.
They also know he's actually quite polite.

Yes, but if you see...it is on a CLOSED network.

And delta is a highly advanced AI, That can live off of electrons in space! Nothing is secure.

Ergh. You may have to make me go with no computer systems.

If the system is completely closed off to ALL connections no matter what then it is unhackable unless someone can change it to take connections.
If your computer has no internet connection and no way for someone to jack a different computer into it, it is unhackable externally, only internally.
The main downside to this is that it wouldnt be able to take or give transmissions or take in any data whatsoever. If Delta however literally merged himself with the system then he would have access. He would then have to bypass firewalls and such.

Sup, I do a software development diploma. If there's one thing I know it's how a computer system works.

If the armor had no communications, uplinks, or outside connections to anything, then it is virtually unhackable, but the possibility exists still.

It has none, whatsoever.

For it does not need it.

The possibility of an external hack can happen do note.

Unhackable = Perfection

Perfection = Non-Existent

Yes, but as they don't have many of the things Delta would need to hack...

HE CAN'T without much difficulty gain acces.

True perfection does not exist. This is completely true.
It is virtually unhackable given the only other route like I said would be for AI Delta to merge with it.

Umm.. Soda machines are hackable and they have no connections.

Lol i remember that story.

Yes, but soda machines don't have very advanced computer tech. These do.

How do you know?  ;) We're in the future. They could be extremely superpowered transformer mecha soda machines.

That's an internal hack, physically using the terminal of the thing at hand to change something.
That's also maintenance mode, not a hack xD

Brb, making that.

You need to state hacking is possible before anyone would approve it.

It is from the inside, but it does not have Maintenance mode.

Every computer system has maintenance mode mate; How else would they be y'know... Maintained?

It is from the inside, but it does not have Maintenance mode.

So then how do you fix it?
Title: Re: Gifts from Fioa

Repair it.

Replace the computer systems if need be. Use magic on it. Any number of ways.

That's just ineffective. What happenes in a combat situation. Gonna replace with while you're being shot?

So you're going to completely replace or junk it for one small malfunction instead of doing maintenance work? And if you run out of money to repair it or replace it, then what?

With that logic you may as well install a self destruct button on it. It breaks? BOOM! Warranty collection time.

1. This is to prevent the armor from proving to be fatal to the wearer. So yes. Oh and thanks for reminding me.

Added Self Destruct button.

A self destruct button makes it...LESS fatal to the wearer...Erm...What...?

Wow... just wow... I refuse to approve these now.

*Walks away shaking my head*

Replaced with this not quite finished.

Upgraded AAM
Recent events have rendered standard AAM no longer able to be used without much difficulty and so upgraded versions of it were produced by the Fioan Empire as a gift to the Narrikians, once Katrina had paid for them to be made. The AAM devices can come in many shapes and sizes and can protect from most forms of AM, including military grade AM.  Here is a sample of one that can cover an entire city.
This was not very cheap however. And currently only one of it exists, although it will be mass produced so that  AAM can become more common place.  To normal scanners that search for AAM field type energies this would not be found. Upgraded AAM is also different from normal AAM as normal AM fields would be completely overwhelmed by this, the current ones being too weak to overpower. Eventually ones could exist that can overpower these.

Armor Core: Paladin System
