Words were not needed as Caliph went about ensuring the preparation for Djinn One?s mission. The young Marid was in command of officers two, three times his age yet there was a certain air of respect in the demeanor in the human-like appearances the crew took. The bridge of the Xuna dead silence was a mute symphony of messages being sent back and forth between the ships of the fleet. As system calibration went through final checks, Caliph nodded to his crew. Acknowledging this may very well be the end of some of their lives. If all went to planet, most of them would survive atmospheric entry. Additionally, most of their payload was in reality thousands of their kin, Marid?s in their true form as Gems. Surly not all of them would survive entry, most would but not all. The weight of this decision sat heavy on Caliph?s mind, as he put a light grin on for his crew. A little mask to bestow confidence, as the final checks went through, FTL timer started. T-minus twelve seconds, tickle slowly on a digital display. Caliph could have sworn it was the longest twelve seconds of his life, and in a moment he felt the ship road to life as FTL was achieved. Their mission now truly underway.
Forgive me is all Caliph could think, as his ambition kicked into overdrive. Knowing what he was about to do. The future of his race my very well be changed due to his plans. They added a certain air to his grin at that moment. Good thing the crew was now too busy making sure their FTL was on coarse to notice.
