Title: The Locust And The Snake
Post by: K2 on September 04, 2011, 08:47:26 PM
A Jump Drive window opened in the sky above Maltruse, a brilliant blue gush of air appearing in the night sky above the planet as Cocoon came out, into space just a few nautical squared kilometers away from the planet's outer orbit. The Anrufe ship broadcasted its own RDO the moment it arrived. The brilliant display of lights faded from behind the ship as it prepared to send a transmission down to the planet below.

The transmission read:

Quote
Attention Lorcar, we the Anrufe have come, bearing no intention to fight. We are here for diplomatic purposes only. Over.

OOC:Nik, there's just nothing to respond TO with your posts. Its mostly dialog with a vague response to what my stuff is doing, too vague for me to actually do anything with. What am I supposed to do, post,"The Lorcar kept swarming from all sides and stinging the hull like they already were.'? I dont like posting when my characters or NPCs aren't doing anything different at all from my last post, because its boring as hell. So if you want me to respond, give me something concrete to respond to.

The ship would find itself smack-dab in the middle of the Lorcar Defense Fleet, all of whom looked directly at the intruding ship and gave it a directed psychic shock, which would register in the crew's minds as a loud, high-pitched, VERY painful screaming. Normal transmissions...Were NOT very good for communicating with Lorcar, since they couldn't understand them anyways. With the sheer amount of psychic power coursing through the shockwave, accounting for how it'd spread out over the vast crew, they'd have a few hours of agony before their brains ceased functioning, leaving them braindead, or in those especially susceptible to psychic attack, their heads might actually explode due to the psychic overload. They would have enough time, assuming they could get to their consoles and operate them under the pain, to escape with their ship and lives, or possibly try another method of communication. Possibly.

OOC:Dude, your flying the ship, not me. Im just attacking it. Hell, I even tried to guide the ship towards the leader, but instead of changing course you just slammed right into the blockade made of ravenous giant wasps and bees at Whoeverthehellknows-Miles-Per-Hour.

"WHAT IN FUCK'S N-" was the only thing anyone in the crew could hear of the Captain before getting over the initial shock of the... well... shock, at which point they could no longer hear anything. The captain dropped to the floor of the bridge, hands grasping his head. He could feel the Lorcar burrowing into his brain... Somehow, amongst the confusion, an idea came to his head. He hadn't the time or energy to ponder over it, only to try it.

Using his LAP communicator, he psychically sent another message to the Lorcar, this one on a more understandable medium.

I am sorry if I have offended you in any way... We are the Anrufe... We want not to fight. We are here for peace. Over.
