Reyky walked up to the hotel desk and asked, "Hey, have you seen Jay, the Templar guy?"
-
The receptionist looks at him. "We have 57 Jays at the Delegate... Last name?"
-
"I don't know, but he'd be the only Templar," Reyky said.
-
"Well, we donot know the races of our guests.. you may wanna check with False Heaven Administration."
-
((Just like to point out, scanners show Templars as their original race and that Jay has announced his last name before Reyky a good couple times xD))
-
Reyky thought for a bit. "It's something with an S if that helps. Spyder, Skyler, Schneiler..."
-
The clerk types it in... "There are 3 "Jay S."s in this hotel. I can give you the room numbers if you'd like to go find him."
-
"Thanks!" Reyky said. "Does it ending in er narrow it down any?"
-
"Yes, There is room 7-007, 1-408, and 126-666" she says.
-
Wait, that's still three rooms though?" Reyky said confusedly.
-
"Better than 57 isnt it?"
-
"But you gave me three, and then I gave you more information and asked if it narrowed things down," Reyky began. "And then you said yes, but gave me three rooms."
-
"Im sorry, i missed that part... um..." she types it in. "We have a Jay Stryder in room 126-666"
-
"Okay, thanks for your help," Reyky said just before running off.
-
Upon reaching the door, Reyky knocked three times in succession.
-
Jay answered the door, clearly quite haggard. He wore his silver cape over a white shirt and black pants, with his hat placed lazily on top.
"Oh hey it's that kid." The Templar cracked a smile, leaning against the doorframe "How you doing brother?"
-
"Jay!" he said happily. "I've been fine, how about you?"
-
"Well... I killed Plex and came here, kinda tired if i'm honest" The Templar joked, rubbing his eyes "Was actually about to hit the sack. What's up?"
-
"I was just wanting to get the fish to talk again," Reyky said. Just then, the shrunken eelish fish swam through the air closer to Jay. "Who was it again who set up that telepathic field?
-
"That was uh..." Jay looked to the ground "That was Orph. He didn't survive the fight." Jay raised his face to meet Reyky's "I can likely cast the spell he cast though so long as it didnt call on his unique power." A book appeared in his hand "Uhhm.... Yeah, I can cast it." He raised a hand to the fish and focussed for a moment. The fish was surrounded by a warm white glow before the glow dissipated.
"Right, the fish can talk to whomever it wishes to telepathically." He nodded to the two.
-
Thank you, said the fish.
-
Jay tipped his hat to the fish "Now then boys, if you'll excuse me I really gotta sleep. I'm giving some talk tomorrow to like properly explain to the media what happened and uh... What a Templar is" He laughed "By all means you're welcome to stick around and we'll hang out in the morn" He nodded to the pair before turning to the door "Seeya guys" And closed the door, waltzing on over to his bed and collapsing on it.
-
"Wait," Reyky said just stopping him. "One last thing. Do you know where I can find K2?"
-
"Think I saw him hanging around this place. I know he was doin' somethin' here tonight dud-" Jay started before hearing in his mind
A suspicious entity questioned me on the nature of Inarin and on you. The Records show that he is here. I wished to let you know.
It boomed through Jay's mind as clear as day, unheard by anyone else on the station.
The Templar sighed, a mug of coffee appearing in his hand "Apparently I ain't sleeping tonight" He grumbled, turning out of the room and closing the door "If you're still around tomorrow i'm giving a speech about Plex gettin' killed and all. I'd love you to come along and see." He nodded to Reyky and the fish before disappearing.
