The Lorcar had seen this planet before, noticing its massive ecosystem of forests. It wasn't a ideal place to attack, as while genetic diversity was obvious, it of course didn't have a heavily sentient population-not one still alive, anyways, even though they'd seen the ruins. Still, food was food, and this raid was merely for biomatter, not specifically new genetic material to be spliced into new Castes. And if they found DNA sequences that would prove useful in the creation of new castes, well, that WOULD be good. And so, from a good distance away, a Wasp-Class Lorcar Bioship launched a few Drop-Pods containing the first of the Horde to carry out their preparations for the raid, which would appear to be asteroids as they hurtled through space towards the densely-forested planet. A few Soldiers and Commander Castes would be sent, as well as Workers, Digesters, even Reavers in case the wildlife was particularly troublesome, all in order to set up the first fortifications. Then, once the Biopools were established, the massive Breeders would be sent, which would allow them to spread out and devour all. All in all, it was a routine plan, for what they thought would be a routine mission.

As the meteors came anywhere near close to the planet they found themselves slowed in time itself- almost suspended in mid air.
Leave this planet alone, creatures of hunger.
The message burst through their timeline into the minds of each and every one of them who had approached.
-
A moment's pause as the Lorcar Bioship pondered these words, also because it was somewhat confused by the telepathic message. Of course, the message itself wasn't received by the Lorcar EXACTLY as sent; their brain broke the words down into their base meanings, in order to comprehend them, since the Lorcar had no use for the more 'common' languages. But the fact that they received anything at all...Were they wrong in judging the technological level of the planet? Still, if nothing else, the sake of conversation dictated a response, also telepathic, and conveying enough power to, in organic creatures, induce vertigo and a mild headache. Not really intended to be a hostile offense; more than anything else, this was just expressing the Lorcar's discontent with the situation.
If you know of what we are, then surely you must know why we cannot simply comply with your demands. Your description of us says it perfectly, after all.

Of course, the sender of the message was not organic- It was the great Citadel protecting the planet as Jay was away.
Unfortunately you will have to find food elsewhere. I cannot allow you to proceed with attacking this planet.
The Lorcar who had been slowed through time were rewound to their previous position before they had attempted to descend to the planet.

((Rule pertaining to a third day of no response.))
The Lorcar forces were repelled from the vicinity of the planet thus, completely nonviolently of course.
