Title: A Call To Embodiments
Post by: Queen Bright on October 26, 2011, 05:16:08 AM
In what was left of the great embodiment city that stood in the ruins of the former Mortality's Planes arena, a silver glow began to shine throughout the buildings streets, soon encompassing the entire floating island and the water around it till everything held a silver hue. Slowly but surely the city began to restore its self from the Plexan. The patch in the sky that had been ripped in the battle between Hikaru and C2323 closed its self up, and the in only a matter of minutes the city of Embodiments had returned to its former glory.

When the silver had faded, there in the middle of the city stood the embodiment of time herself, Asura. Staff in hand, she tapped the bottom to the ground and send out a pulse through the personal timelines of the embodiments themselves to alert and call them to this location.  Her work done, Asura stood back to await the arrival of her fellow embodiments.

Black smoke formed into the shape of the Embodiment of Space, Skye. As it dissipated her slender form was once more covered by her black dress which seemed as if it contained all of space in the weave.
"Why is it that we always meet in South?" The embodiment mused, stepping gracefully to Time's side "It's just so... Drab."

"It is where Creation and Destruction created our city." Asura looked over to Space while awaiting the other embodiments arrival. "If it is not to your liking then create a new place to meet. It would have been the Records. But with the late unrest of the other embodiments, I don't quite trust allowing them access."

"First thing on my to do list then" Skye smiled "What's this about anyway, sis?"

In a brilliant flash of light, Insana appeared. "No rest for the wicked?" he jokingly exclaimed. He looks around at the 2 sisters. "Long time no see Asura."

Null and Void appeared, slowly fading into existence. Rather mundane compared to the rest, probably, they thought. Their presence was usually enough to alert others, at least with non-embodiments. They looked around, trying to see why they were summoned, and saw Insana. They both bowed respectfully in the presence of the Embodiment, for Insana was a Embodiment who had power over their own force, as well as others. In effect, he was their greater. However. . .They did not consider him their lord, and so they turned to Asura, who they thought may have been the summoner. Null, straight to the point, simply asked,"Why have we been summoned here, Lordess of Time?"

Neirron and Leirra walk out from an alley, looking around. "Always did think this place needed decor." She says, looking to Neirron, who just smiles at her.

When Asura caught site of the embodiments of Love and Guardianship, she kept silent and didn't respond to Null, Void, or Skye. Because she was Time its self, she knew exactly who Neirron and Leirra truly were. But due to her nature of neutrality, she kept this to herself and instead only smiled.

(NPCing the rest, normally it's K2s job, but he's not on.)

When the rest of the embodiments had arrived including the former rebel embodiments that had served Plex, Treachery included, it caused an unrest and a few arguments amongst some, while others just accepted the change of sides. To silence the arguments that had started, Asura tapped her staff to the ground once more, but a bit more forceful than before.

"If I could have quiet please." Asura spoke above the crowd of embodiments and for good measure sealed the soundwaves of the words from the other embodiments that were talking out of time. "I apologize for calling all my fellow embodiments here to our city this day. But there is something amiss. Something should be impossible but has apparently happened." She paused before going on. "There is a book missing from the Records of Time. Several books to be exact. And there is no way to find out which ones."

"I uhm..." Skye stopped for a moment "Is... Is that it?" She looked puzzled "I mean, I get its probably knocking your timey powers hanging around but why not just call one of your dogs on the case instead of uhm... Calling us all here?"

Insana nods to the embodiments of emptiness. He then turns to Asura. "Did these books hold some sort of great significance to the ShatteredPlanes?"

Neirron looks to Leirra, scowling. "A few missing books, that's it?" He asks, sighing. "Honestly, pulling us all here for that?"

She sighs, shaking her head. "There has to be more to it then that. Asura, do you not have a method of organizing your Records that could provide even clues to which books are missing?"

"None of you understand! It is more dire than you all may think." Asura tapped the bottom of her staff to the ground more forcefully. "For there to be missing books and an inability for me to know which ones are missing means they are missing from time its self. The Records of Time are not actual books. They are a manifestation of all of time in the form of books. A missing book means a missing piece of time. Gone. Erased! If they were simply misplaced than I would be able to tell you exactly what books are missing. But because they erased from time. It means the never happened to begin with. Or if it was a person, never existed."

Asura pointed to Skye than to Neirron and Lierra, "This makes a problem for all of us. All of existence even.  It should be impossible for someone to erase pieces of time and completely take them out of history. For them to do so they would have to have great power and reason for it. If any of our books should go missing, it would mean we no longer or never even did, exist. If they went so far back as our Perfect Creators? It would completely rewrite everything as we know it permanently. In every timeline."

"Thats insane!" Insana shouted and paused. "I believe you, come to think of it."

Void looked around from behind his helmet, before asking,"So...Uhm...Asura, is it? If these books are so hard for you to even know they're missing...How do you know they're missing at all?"
"Void. Is this really the time?"
"Yeah, Null, I kinda think it might be. I mean, listen to her. She doesn't even know WHAT it is thats missing. Now, if she's right, then yeah, they've got a problem. But if they were erased from all time, and she doesn't know whats missing, then those books wouldn't have ever happened either. Which means she wouldn't know they were missing in the first place, since they'd not have existed to be missing. Quite frankly, I think she's been spending a bit too much time around  Lord Wack-Job over there." Void said, pointing his thumb at Insana. Null hit him over the head, saying,"Enough, Void. Speak your mind if you must, but do not insult our allies. Insana did not oppose Lord Koty in the War, and should be, at the very least, respected by us. However, Mistress Time, my loathsome twin does pose a good point. If these books ceased to exist, indeed, were removed from existing in any time at all, how did you come to find out they were missing in the first place?"

Skye just sighed "I don't understand, you're an embodiment. Whoever did this had to be some sort of time mage, just go find him- beat him up then rewrite time. Isn't it your job?" She then turned to Void "It would behoove you to hold your tongue when you feel you must insult my sister." She uttered, darkly "Or Insana for such matter."

Insana smirked at Void. "Quite down Prince Void... Now isnt the time for joking." he turns to Asura. "Lady Space does have a point, Lady Time. Although I do believe what you say, I dont understand why you cant deal with the problem at hand yourself, seeing as you are one of ht greater Embodiments, or why its all of our problems."

Neirron look to him, shaking his head. "If this is true, one could take the entire Embodiment system from existence."

"I know they are missing because the books are simply no longer there. There are gaps where there should not be gaps." Asura pointed her staff at each of her kin around her "Neirron is exactly right. Someone has done this without my knowledge, this can and will affect all of us if left untampered."

Skye snorted "And your dogs, sister?"

"I shall be calling my Templars to help later." The Embodiment of Time looked to Skye disapprovingly "Until then I merely ask that you let me know of suspicious activity you see. If I do not know of it, we will have found our culprit."

Insana looked dumbfounded... "I suppose you do make a good point." He sighs.

"But what do you propose we do? We have no leads!"

Leirra nods, looking to Neirron. He looks back at her, a soft smile quickly ticking at the ends of his mouth. "We will keep you informed, miss Asura. Do you have anything even the slightest bit more specific? Such as what categories the gaps are in?"

"The missing books appear to be within almost random areas. Some go as far back as the start of time, some as recent as yesterday" Asura sighed "I know this may seem foolish but I assure you, if this is not rectified..." The embodiment looked gaunt... Almost tired. Many of the other embodiments called had left at this point, mumblings of Asura going insane had gone around- quickly punished by Skye. The embodiment of Space stood next to her sister as Asura continued to seem fatigued, soon she needed supporting by Skye merely to stand.
"It is taking all of my power simply to stop the timelines from collapsing into themselves..."

Null and Void stayed silent for a small time, before Null said abruptly,"If you would need some aid, Emptiness pledges its support for you in this time."
"What!? Why should we, Null!? Just for a few apparently mi-"
"Void. While I understand we are not well versed in...Philanthropic actions, if you must then think of it as self-preservation. Our Lord may be dead, but the fact remains that we still have a duty to preserve what He stood for, and remember, even in the end He wished to fight alongside His brother in order to maintain the Order of the Embodiments. If there is a chance that there IS, indeed, a threat, then we should at the very least attempt to stop it from spreading."
"Tch...Fine, do what you want. If nothin' else, its something to do rather than wandering aimlessly...Call me when ya need me, an' you know ya will." Void said, turning and fading away. Null was silent for a few seconds before saying,"Void can be...Difficult, but he has his sense of duty, same as I. If Lord Koty were still around...He would no doubt be more willing to go along with this, but without a Lord to follow, he is aimless. However, I still wish to maintain Koty's wish...So, Lordess Time, if there is some way for us to give you a reprieve from maintaining Time itself, allow you to catch your breath and recover, I should think to attempt it. It would be of greater use to us to have you at even 50%, rather than your current state, after all."

"Why am I not surprised?" a voice spoke up, cold and sinister among the very essence of the many embodiments present. This was the city they had built, yes, and true enough it had been the original purpose of this former dimension, South, AKA Hell. But true enough, Radical ruled... No... Was assigned to the post of South. The embodiments, Eli and Koty above all, had placed him here, part of an elaborate ruse which the brothers had shared in order to create the idea of free will. For their to be free will, there had to be a choice for one to make, and Radical had made the wrong choice.

Not that it mattered now. He had lacked his memories back then, believing truly that he was merely an angel. Turns out, Eli wasn't God. Eli was pretending to be God. And Radical had thought he was the devil. He had been a fool. But now he remembered everything, and he was not amused. Still, the embodiments were hardly more than pests for him... If only... If only he could do something about that.

...If only it weren't for that contract.

"Just the people I wanted to talk to," Radical continued. "You all look so serious..."

Leirra and Neirron smirk at him, knowing full well his original story. "Welcome back, Radical. It has been such a long time, hasn't it?" She says, smiling almost warmly. "How have you been these past eons?"

"Don't smirk at me... We are EQUALS," Radical nearly shouted. "You and your associates believe that they can confine my power... You know the truth. They do not. And now, here you are all, talking about your affairs... None of you know the darkness that is to come. And may I assume that you two have taken the role of the slain one?"

"Of Eli? No, we are the Embodiments of Love and Guardianship, Radical. Two concepts you never seemed to attempt to learn." Neirron says, stepping before Leirra and staring the man down, as if daring him to try anything. "We may be equals in status, but you have been ever ignorant of yourself and others. She was being friendly, asking you how you have been, showing concern for you." He continues, until Leirra grabs his forearm softly.

"Yes, we are equals, because we are Embodiments. And as Embodiments it's our duty to keep the integrity of existence safe. That means working together, sharing information and dealing with threats. Did you forget that, Radical?"

"Embodiment? No. I am not an embodiment... I would never wish to be so weak.... And do not... DO NOT tell me that I don't understand love. You two know that to be a lie.."

He sighed deeply. He had loved once, before this cycle... Before he created it... That awful beast who had sent him here and wiped away his memories. But he had regained his own memories... And if he could, that meant the she could as well... Wherever she was. Whenever she was. He didn't know if she had been reincarnated into this cycle yet. And if she had, where was she?

Null stayed silent for some time, listening to them speak, before saying,"While I am sure you all have some catching up to do...Im afraid we do have more pressing concerns. If you have something that pertains to this issue, Lord Radical, then please state it. If you do not, I am afraid that we must not waste time...To do so, with the current predicament we all face, could very well lead to it being torn apart at the seams."

Neirron scowls and shakes his head. "Ever the pain. You never did understand when to put your grudges aside for a cause." He says, earning a smack on the arm from Leirra.

"I hope you'll come to a decision on what side you're on soon, Radical."

"In any case," he replied, his head turning with some amusement towards some... Invisible person or thing off to his side, "It seems we have an... Unwanted visitor. What are you doing here, former host of Fate?"

An illusion -- not real flesh and bone but a representation -- of K2323 appeared, having been cloaked among the embodiments. He had arrived just as Radical had, hiding under his signature. The illusion looked around in defeat at the embodiments, some of which had scowls on their faces.

Null himself didn't really mind the visitor, but then, he didn't have a opinion on many things. Or at the very least, he didn't express them much. He simply turned his head towards the newcomer, and said,"If you've any reason to be here, Sage, then speak."
