Title: Contracts
Post by: @Pokemon Master Red on November 22, 2011, 08:59:38 PM
The Mercs had been going through a rather...Slow season, lately. Sure, there'd been a few bounties here and there, but they neevr could find the people, and bounties aren't among the best Mercenary work there is when you cant find the person. However, almost suddenly...Several contracts started pouring in for the Mercs. Of course, which ones they'd take were up to each individual...But there were quite a few to choose from. Several were of course the assassination of a general of the Mechera military, sent in by various Narrikians, but the more striking of them were much, much more complex than that...

To:Hiro's Mercenaries.
Payment:12,000 Credits
Contract Title:Distractions
Mission: We are in need of several distractions around the Citadel. It doesn't matter who causes them, what they consist of, or how complex they are. All that matters is that the security forces on the planet are occupied long enough for us to conduct our operations, which will be centered around the heavy industrial complexes on-world. Keep the armed forces and police away from there, and we shall inform you once we're finished.
-the Ecology Restoration Coalition

To:Hiro's Mercenaries
Payment: 20,000 Credits, +1000 for each individual ship
Contract Title:Hijackings
Mission:The Wolf Pack is in need for several merchant vessels for...Various acts better left undisclosed. We would...Procure them ourselves, however, in order for these missions to properly succeed it is imperative that the empires these Merchants are aligned with have no knowledge we are the ones stealing these vessels. What you do with the crew is of no importance, only that the ship itself is undamaged. As well, we will pay handsomely for the cargo being transported by the ships, though on a individual basis(different goods, after all, are worth different amounts).
-Kalek Cutthroats of the United Pirate Alliance

To:Hiro's Mercenaries
Payment:10,000
Contract Title:Probing
Mission:We wish for information concerning False Heaven's 'security system'. Namely, its ability to warp and, in effect, entirely deny the laws of physics on the whims of its current administrator. What we desire is any ways to circumvent these powers, or any weaknesses of the system, as well as the mechanics of how it is performed. Depending upon circumstances, and personal risk involved in the acquisition of this data, the price is entirely negotiable. Once the information is acquired, deliver it to Nairyo, where one of my associates will be waiting with payment in hand.
-A Intrigued Businessman.

To:Hiro's Mercenaries
Payment:15,000
Contract Title:Destroy Life-Support Systems
Mission:We have certain...Qualms about the large concentrations of organic life infesting several of the space stations orbiting Frezzi, the Mechera Capital in this dimension, especially with the civil unrest of several Narrikians within the Empire. Because it would take far too long to individually hunt down all of the civilians, and far too obvious and unnecessary besides, we wish to contract a few of your operatives in order to kill at least three of the station's life-support systems, with our only specification being that one of them must be the Casino Station(which has the highest concentration). As well, once the main Life-Support systems go offline, you will have a period of roughly four hours to escape the station before it will become totally uninhabitable. There will be a large bonus for performing these actions without drawing attention to yourself.
Do note:We have no interest in the DEATH of anyone in specific, and such will likely only draw attention to you. Once the life support is offline, most civilians will likely be evacuated anyways. As such, there shall be no 'hazard-pay' if you get yourself into trouble. This mission will be best conducted stealthily, after all.
-Harmony Office of the Mechera Government #654283, the Internal Security Office

To:Hiro's Mercenaries
Payment:30,000 Credits
Contract Title:Attack
Mission:There are several cities on Memorial that occupy space we feel could be...Better used. Most are residential cities, primarily Narrikian, with little industrial output or commercial value. We want them...Rezoned, if you will. How you remove the buildings, whether the people are killed or not, is up to you. Once their destruction has been confirmed via orbital imaging, we shall wire the credits directly to your accounts, to divide up between one another as you see fit. The exact cities to be demolished will be transmitted to you, if you desire to accept this contract.
-The "Machina" Organization

To:Hiro's Mercenaries
Payment:40,000 Credits
Contract Title:Abduction
Mission:We wish for specimens of the dominant life forms of the planets 'Elmora' and 'Coldlands' in order to compare both, as well as perform specialized testing. Who they are matters not, however, we've noticed several 'kingdoms' upon each of the continents. We will provide a special bonus if you can capture a few of these royals from further testing. They must, hiowever, be alive.
-Biologics Incorperated

Zareth looked at the listings with some interest, towling himself off. "Hm.." He pondered, scratching his chin as he wiped the warm water from his brow. "Well, lets see... money.. attack... bounties.... Hm..."  His attention drifted towards the job with the highest bounty -naturally, of course.
"Hey, Sasha, you have any data from the Extranet about this.. "Coldlands?"" He asked his AI assistant, his counterpart.
"One moment." Sasha replied, searching through files on search engines at the speed of data, his electronically simulated voice echoing through Zareth's neural link to his ZPAA suit which was stored on the Dark Heart.
"Planetary File: "Coldlands" is reported to be a large planetary body that has recently appeared in systems close to planet "Elmora". All attempts to come near the planet have failed due to mysterious circumstances regarding power drainage and a sudden freezing engulfing vessels despite space travel proof hulls." Sasha said after a moment of searching.
Well that wouldn't do, Zareth thought, he'd better not risk what he had for that.
"Um... Alright, howabout that attack..." He murmured, thumbing on his little headset. "Hey, anyone there seen the new bounties?" He asked on the Merc's frequency.

The first person to respond was Johnny, who said,"Nah, not yet. Heard we got some new work, though, 'bout time really. What're the good ones lookn' like? Maybe we can put together a team to take on some of 'em."

"There are three I'm looking at, Johnny." Zareth replied into his comm. "One where we destroy some Narrikian settlements, another were we cause some sort of distractions on the Citadel and then there's one where we hijack some ships for a pirate gang. What do you think?"

"Hey guys, how's it goin?" Sam yawned as walked into the room wearing nothing but shorts and proceeded to make his way to the fridge and began rummaging around in it. "Do we have any contracts?" Orga asked sarcastically as Sam pulled out jug of milk and began drinking it.

When Sam saw the Wetwork contract pop up and the pay it was offering his eyes went wide. He finished gulping down the rest of the milk (Heres a fun game to do at home kids, try and chug down a gallon of milk in less than a minute!) dropped the empty jug on the floor and walk-sprinted over to the computer-thingy, leaving the fge door open in his rush. "Okay,so i just press accept right?"
"No, i'm pretty sure you press decline"
Ignoring Orga, Sam accepted the contract.

It was just as he sprinted over to the contract that Sara walked in. "Hey, Yuto, dont trip or anything. What, they got a contract to help test out the new theme park o-"She said, freezing midsentence as her eyes saw the payment of the contract. Instantly, she too raced for it and pressed the 'Accept' button, saying,"...Well, guess we're both gonna take care of this one. But first, put on some pants, would'ja?"
After they both pressed the Accepted button on the Contract holo, this message was sent to their new employer:

"What are pants?"
"They're a kind of dog, right?"
"....Oh wait, now I remember!" He snaped his fingers and he was clothed, black t-shirt, dull red duster, jeans, shoes, crazy katana, the works.
"Okay let's go"
