Nek and Inari appeared on Inarin among a crowd of scared, confused refugees. Nek tried to loudly announce, "Attention, everyone!" but his voice failed to overpower the crowd. He stopped. He needed to be confident. Jay trusted him to do something. And Jay himself was out risking his life, after all... Nek needed to take control of the crowd -- to be heard. He tried again.
"ATTENTION!" he yelled.
That was better.
"Jay, the Templar who -- oh, you all know who he is. This is his planet. Everyone calm down. You're safe now... Just remain calm and we will get everything back in working order!"
He looked over to Inari, a confused look on his face, now a lot quieter. "Didn't Jay say something about a... Citadel?"
-
Lucas was among the crowd, but considerably calmer than the others had been. Returning to Memorial was not an option that he could viably do at present what with the AM field up and all. Plus it was too close to ground zero of whatever was going on. Trying to edge his way through the crowds of people and over towards the two that had said the word Templar, and what not Lucas had a plan. Jay needed more help than ever before now and certainly needed it in this current situation. Lucas would assist and ascertain the source of this problem once more so that it could be dealt with. "At least I'm out of that Epoch Circle in FH."
-
"I'm not sure... He wasn't exactl-" Inari started just as a booming voice shouted across the crowds.
Clearly the master has sent you all here. This is good. It started Your needs will all be tended to momentarily. The ones known as Miss Inari and Mr Nek Atlas will be required to appear in the Citadel soon. Please, sort your affairs with your fellow refugees. I will know when you are done.
With that the voice stopped. Sudden silence as a huge buffet table appeared stocked with various cultural foods and tents with medical equipment and beds formed to the sides of the crowds.
Inari seemed somewhat shaken, she rarely saw such large-scaled acts of kindness in her travels with Hikaru "I... Uhm." She looked back to Nek "I don't really know what to do..."
-
"Uh... Can you use your magic to find the source of that voice and teleport us there? I would but uh... Yeah," he said, staring down due to his obvious lack of magic.
-
"Y-Yeah!" Just as Inari began to search for the source, both Nek and Inari were surrounded by silver light and suddenly appeared within a room seemingly lit only by blue neon.
"What?" Inari squeaked, preparing a spell to throw at any attackers
Calm yourselves, Knight and Maiden.
The voice boomed to the two of them
I have a request for the both of you.
-
As a formation of six Marid Super Capitals FTLed into the system, the formation did not seem aggressive.
<<Planet Inarin, This is Chancellor of Internal of Affairs Salahiem and Acting Captain of Spire of Winter, Marid correspondents reported a mass evacuation from False Heaven. These vessels have been temporarily refitted with medical, food, and housing supplies. Requesting permission for Frigates to be dispatched to start a train of supply in delivering these emergence supplies to the evacuees.>>

OOC:Blah, had a much better post than this typed up, but it crashed. Important stuff is there, though its mostly a bare skeleton compared to the previous attempt. ><
It was by chance, or perhaps fate, that Echo was amongst the refugees transported from False Heaven to this planet. After she had been separated from Inari that long time ago, she wandered the galaxy looking for a way to get back in contact with them all.
So, when she heard the booming voice calling for a old friend of her's, she knew just what she was going to do. She immediately started shoving her way though the crowd in order to find her way to her. A small part of her mind jabbed at her, saying that it might have been someone else, she might have misheard. But she wanted, perhaps needed to find her friend again. And to that extent, she flared up her magic signiture, so that Inari might also know she was there as well.
-
You are permitted to land, Vibrant ones.
Was the message the Marid received in return.
Inari's ears perked up at Echo's power spike, she flared her own in response
-
Receiving the message, the Marid Super Capitals deployed their frigates instantly with Fold Ward. 600 vessels landed on the planet in short order, off loaded supplies and personnel to set up temporarily housing for the referees, and to man meal tents. Medical personnel set up stations for refugees wounds to be treated. The the 600 frigates took off, docked with the Super-capitals, received more supplies and again landed on the planet. The Marid had brought enough supplies to keep this up for at least two months. Even then, More Super Capitals could bring supplies and relieve them at that point.
-
"A- a request?" Nek replied, looking around the room, trying to figure out where the strange voice was coming from.
-
Echo detected Inari's own magic signature after it flared, and used that to better figure out where she was. She was surprised that she couldn't feel it very close by; perhaps they'd already traveled to that 'Citadel' the voice had spoken of, asking them to go there. She pushed her way through the crowd in the direction of Inari, making sure she didn't get turned around in case she lost her friend's Magic Signature to find her way by.
-
Jay appeared, passed out on the floor before his usual two companions in the citadel as the last of the refugees from False Heaven appeared with the rest of the refugees outside.
Yes a request
Inari gasped at the templar on the floor
The Elder will be fine. I heal him as we speak. My request is simply that you accompany the Elder for longer.
The fox sage was silent for a moment before nodding "I want to keep following him." She felt Echo note her signature "If... If I can ask... Could you send me to my f-" Inari was interrupted as she said that as she disappeared
The Maiden has been sent to where she wanted to go. Is there anywhere you wish to go, Knight?
Inari appeared before Echo "riend?"
-
"You can send me back to the refugees, I can be of more help there," Nek replied, "And yes... I'll stay by Jay's side. He was my first friend, after all."
Outside, hundreds of more refugees appeared from Zaned, having been brought there by the family of K2323. They quickly adjusted into the crowd. What none of them realized was that high in the sky above was K2323 himself, flying through the atmosphere... Searching... He could feel Jay's presence, only just vaguely, in the northern part of the planet. He started flying towards the Citadel, a worried expression on his face.
-
Thank you, Knight.
With that Nek was sent to the main refugee area and K2323 was summoned.
I welcome you, Sage. The Elder will also.
-
K2323 bowed before Jay, assured that his wounds were healing -- he could see that Jay was fine. He stood back up and bowed to what he could only assume was this very building -- he could feel the voice's power radiating through it. He had not figured that Jay would be this weak. Maybe he had been wrong to come here -- Jay would be of no help to the cause if he were dead. However...
"How weak is he?" K2323 asked.
-
Sadly the Elder exhausted himself removing the refugees from the attacked station. He should have returned to me sooner after his battle with the negative core to reconnect with the Domain of Time The Citadel replied Currently I am restoring his full Temporal abilities. It should be momentary.
Literally as the Citadel finished Jay's eyes snapped open "KURAI I'LL FUCKING K-" He started, standing and swinging his sword around before looking at K2323 "Oh good it was a dream" He laughed for a moment "Uh.. Probably a dumb question but whats up man?"
-
K2323 didn't even blink when Jay's sword started to swing towards him. He was not smiling. He had a dead serious look on his face, one not typical for the sage. It was as if all the darkness in the world were looming over his head. He looked upon Jay not now as just a friend, but as a comrade, a fellow warrior in battle... And someone who was as strong as him.
"Something's... coming. Something very... bad," he explained.
-
The Templar removed his hat as he straightened himself up "So what is it man?" He swung his sword over his shoulder "It's kinda been a hectic week I sorta wanted to celebrate my first New Years in like a thousand years"
-
"Old things from the past," K2323 responded, not completing his thought. The sage seemed to be acting frantically, much like he had done right before the Battle of Shore. Everything was connected... The Arami Scrolls, Hikaru's leaving, and now... Now this. Tower 8. Something was very, very wrong, and K2323 didn't want to die. He had to... Had to get help.
"I don't know why," he responded, "But in two hours from now, by Galactic Standard Time, something is going to happen... Something very bad. And if we want to find out what that something is and how to stop it... We have to go to the Sage Dimension now. I want you to come with me. You and whoever else feels strong enough to go. Maybe we can get some answers there."
-
Jay sighed "Man... You never come along with good news." He smirked "Citadel. Continue to look after everything. Patch me in straight to Inari and Nek the second anything goes bad you got me?"
Yes, Elder.
"Want me to put out a call for anyone who may want to go?"
-
"Yeah," K2323 replied, "We're going to need some more backup."
-
"Ci-"
I know, Elder.
Above the camp appeared what seemed to be a screen, showing both Jay and K2323 in the Elder room of the Citadel.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Jay Stryder. Welcome to my planet. All I ask is that the lot of you dont mess things up." Jay laughed before turning to K2323 "You wanna speak?"
-
"Yeah," K2323 replied, before looking down upon the people of the planet. His wife was going to give him hell later for not asking her before he went off on some big, important mission, but oh well. It couldn't be helped. Things were happening too fast. He only had a little bit of time. He needed to get to Tower 8, and he needed others to come with him.
"I can't give a lot of details, but I need volunteers to come with us to the Sage Dimension for a few hours... All I can say is that it's very crucial that we get some people to come with us. The journey I am about to embark on will determine the fate of our entire dimension for years to come... If you are willing to come with me, simply raise your hand and the Citadel shall bring you to us. Thank you."
Kaleb Tyris, son of K2323, was one of the first ones to raise his hand. Fiske, seeing the action of his brother, also raised his hands. Julia looked at her son and her step-son with disapproving eyes, but simply sighed and shook her head. Boys will be boys.
-
Lucas held up his hand and smiled at K2323. There was one other that he could get to accompany them, but K2323 might not like the price of it. There is one other who can be made to accompany us, but for a price that you may not be willing to pay K2323. His help could prove to be an asset to us in this situation. The person is an old friend, but I am sure he would jump at the chance. He met your empire once from what he told me. I shall also assist."
-
"Nek, Inari." Jay added, looking over the planet "I want you two to stay here. Run shit for me. The Citadel will pretty much do what you ask him, just dont disturb the people being healed." He smirked as Kaleb, Fiske and Lucas were summoned "You guys ever rolled with a time traveler before?"
-
Examining Jay, for a moment Lucas scanned him with magic. It was truly Jay and not some sort of impostor or trick to be used against him. So he decided he would roll with the situation, go with the flow as it were and assist as need be. "No, but I met you once. You said if all was lost, come to Inarin."And all had nearly been lost but Lucas was slowly regaining it. Rushing back to him but still recovering was his magic from the suppression of the Epoch Circles. It was coming, but slowly back to him. It would take a few hours but Lucas would be fully powered up. "So rollling with you and K2323 sounds like it could be a good adventure."
-
The Templar just smiled "Sorry, gotta bare in mind i've lived the last day or so like a hundred times trying to get everyone here. Minds a little scattered.
-
Kaleb and Fiske looked upon Jay with a bit of awe. He, much like their father, was very powerful. He was capable of doing A LOT of things. That could be good and bad. However; K2323 seemed to trust this man... That was good. And Jay had saved the day against Plex. He was... Probably an alright guy to trust, right?
"So... What's this badass mission, Dad?" Kaleb asked.
"Yeah, what's up?" Fiske asked.
"You'll all find out when we get there... Let's go."
A doorway appeared next to the group. The moment it appeared, it let out a burst of energy which could be felt all around the planet. A dimensional doorway. They were going to the Sage Dimension, after all. K2323 walked up to the door and opened it. On the other side there was only... Whiteness. K2323 walked right inside, and was surrounded by that very white.
Kaleb and Fiske followed him inside.
OOC: Making a new topic @ Tower 8.
-
A shot glass appeared in Jay's hand as he knocked it straight back "...Well. Into the breach." The Templar smiled before putting his hat upon the ground "That hats got sentimental value." He nodded to Lucas before rushing in
-
Lucas dashed in as well.
-
"Inari, who's t-?"
Nek's words were cut short as a bomb exploded among the refugees. Smoke. Smoke was everywhere. Several were hurt, and where the bomb had exploded, a huge crater was now present in the ground. Screaming. Running. Everyone was... afraid. But that was all that occurred -- there were no fleets raining down, as in the Milky Way. Just one. Single. Bomb.
-
Literally just as the bomb began to explode it was frozen in time and dropped into an empty timeline as the Citadel began perusing the Records of Time for the person directly responsible for it.
-
They would find a single man to be responsible... A soldier of the Everlasting Empire.
-
He would be frozen and held suspended in time inside the Citadel for Jay to deal with.
