A bright light erupted in the darkness of space that surrounded the planet of Helios! The planet had not been detected on any of the sensors of the K Empire, and no visual contact had been made with it – a rather bizarre circumstance. However; the planet was giving off several rare isotopes which had been registered as unidentified by the K Empire computers during the last flyby of the area. It warranted investigation, because if the element that the K Empire now believed was present somewhere in this area of space really was here, it would be an excellent find for development of new technologies.
Out of the “lightâ€, which quickly faded behind it, came the brilliant forms of the K.E.F. Eiffel Tower and the K.E.F. Keys, two majestically large ships which demonstrated the size and strength of the K Empire. They had just warped right into orbit, and could now see the planet, as well as it's moons... And they were dumbfounded.
Fiske Tyris, leader of the K Council – the K Empire's legislator – was roaring orders at his men inside the Keys.
“SCAN EVERYTHING IN THIS AREA FOR LIFE FORMS!†he yelled, “SOMEONE TRY TO FIGURE OUT JUST WHAT WAS CLOAKING THIS PLANET!â€
He was fascinated. How had his people not seen this planet before!? How had they not been here, when this planet was giving off such rare isotopes? Surely it should have been something that they could have detected from lightyears away... How had this planet kept itself cloaked?
“Send a transmission,†he ordered, “An open transmission on all frequencies on my mark... One... Two... Mark!â€
Attention all life forms, please respond. This is the K Empire Fleet Keys along with the K Empire Fleet Eiffel Tower. I am Fiske Tyris, brother of the Emperor of the K Empire. Please respond.

From behind the shadow, with an unsettling majesty fluttered the wings of a creature whose shape was indefinable. It had just arrived from who knows where, as its blazing talons perched on one of the moons, the roar of crumbing rock and burning atmosphere filled the moon with a shuddering sound. Letting out a piercing screech that rippled through the very fabric of local existence, allowing it to hurt the ears of anyone near, regardless of the void of space between them and this creature.
The screech was accompanied by a torrent of flame glowing a strange fleshy color, hitting the formation of ships. The fire seemed to move in strange dance, as if it was truly alive. Feeling out the ships weakness by merely burning where it was easier and as if focusing burning nothing else. No energy was wasted.
-
Unfortunately the bird was on the other side of the shadow, and therefore inescapable of attacking the K fleet inside due to ignorance of it even being there in the first place. The bird would also be in dangerous proximity to Lorcar airspace, and after screeching would be catching the attention of any of the giant arthropod adversaries on patrol.
Meanwhile (on the moon Utalia) a few analysts were looking at the incoming transmissions from the other planets. The New Gia Project was now a few weeks under way, and things had seemed to have fallen sub normal. Upon receiving the message, Dannas sent a message to the Crfl station reading,
Haha, very funny. You're not fooling me again.
At the Crfl station Gimmy replied,
No, it's real this time. Look outside.
It was then that the people on Utalia monitoring the radar got through to Dannas.
Nvm
After a few minutes of deliberation, the Heliphlien people responded ,
Fiske Tyris of the K Emipre, we hear you. This is UCH, the United Confederation of the Heliphlein.
-
Even had the figure made it through the cloak, they would have failed to impact the K Empire's ships, well shielded. Upon receiving a reply from a nearby moon, Fiske sent back another message:
We would like to engage in trade with your people for a rare element known as Neudimensio.
Fiske walked to the observation window on the bridge of the ship, peering out at the planet below. It was everything he had dreamed it would be and more... He could see the raw elements below, the atoms moving at intense speeds... Neudimensio.
-
The creature's fire actually burned away the shadow, taking on the properties creating a new kind of fire. Aserical Shadow Fire, mixed with the strange flesh fire, it burn through the powerful shields of the fleet as if it was made of paper. You see, whatever this creature was, it was more powerful than the shadow and the shield combined. As the shields burned away, the creature of indefinite shape disappeared. Something was wrong... very wrong. Considering a goodly amount of each kind of rare element or particle disappeared with it... almost as if something was taking samples.
Many sigils around the local air space began to glow, surrounded by an odd energy. Only to expand into a number of artificial stars, created by these sigils. In moment these stars would coalesce into one rapid expanding star, threatening to engulf the gas giant in its inferno.
Where the creature had been, a ting sapling of a tree remained. Strange that it was not crushed by the creature's talons. Throughout the local system, a chanting could be heard from an unknown source.
"From the light of betrayal
In the name of fairness
We were crossed
With what remains
We shall fight.
Allow creations to rend these traitors
Without anything by a single seed
As our weapon."
-
Indeed, the screeching did alert the Locusts that were on their patrols nearby, though at first they decided to move on. Slim pickings, after all, one bird just doesn't cut it.
Then the bird made a giant fnarking sun.
This most definitely caught their attention. The Raid Fleet sent three Wasps to investigate, and kept the Hornets on standby in case their reinforcements were needed. Perhaps this would be useful...if nothing else, though, all threats to the Maltruse System must be obliterated. And this...seemed indeed to be a big threat.
-
Unfortunately for the bird, the shadow was not flammable. It had no real tangible elements to it. It was not made of atoms, but of magic. A magic that made it unknown to everyone, and anything. Embodiments had based by this shadow for thousands of years, and never known its existence.
Unfortunately for the Rper controlling the bird, there was absolutely no way the bird could have known about the system. However the Rper had everything to know about Shattered's rules against metagamming.
Meanwhile, completely oblivious to the recent events outside their little world (including the sudden creation of stars that narrowly avoided contact with the Aserical shadow and seemed almost unable to form near it), the Heliphlien were scrambling around, asking themselves what it could be he was talking about. Finally they responded.
We do not know what you mean by Neudimensio. We believe it may be called something else in our languages. Could you tell us more about it?
-
Unfortunate, for the RPer who made this system, it said nothing about hiding magic signatures. Thus The creature had sensed the magic signature, no ands ifs or buts. Because of the kind of fire the creature, anything could become part of it and become a new kind of fire, even a kind of magic.
So yes, the shadow could be burned by this fire, and burn it did. Now as for the suns the were continuing to form, they were not normal stars. These stars were generated rapidly using very intricate magic. The creature was no long her, but its magic continues to grow, the rapid growing stars slamming into the three wasps, and nearing the moons, planet, and the K Empire fleet.
The star could indeed form near the shadow... because the star were made of the same kind of fire that ate away a section of the shadow. Eating away at this system ancient protection, the stars grew.
The sampling was no longer a sampling... it had grown into noble tree.
-
(OOC: Ummm...

No. Breaking the fourth wall is definitely not allowed even in narration or summary. If you have a dispute with a post either PM the person or start an OOC dispute topic. The RPer NEVER comes into IC posts EVER. Unless it's a stupid joke in the OOC section. But for IC written battles, and such, no. This is your informal warning, yours too Cap.)
-
OOC: Hikaru, that is a misquote. That entire paragraph is is OOC, just unlabeled. Nothing IC happens in it, so it is not breaking the fourth wall. If I have to label it always, I'm sorry, I'll edit the post. I thought the double line skip made that clear. However if you think I'm going to let a greifer (and yes, Cap, that is by definition exactly what you are now) destroy months and months of work, you'd better be ready for years of posting.
Also, Cap, one word: Anidranium. Look it up in the tech requests. It hides anything near the crystal from anything magical, and the only known mine in the universe is on Kaltjnheim, a moon of Helios. It's power increases with size like diamonds increase in value: exponentially. While there may not be one crystal that could hide Helios on its own, there is more than enough unmined crystal in pieces to hide the planet and all of its moons. Ergo, you're birdy griefing device is no more powerful than embodiments, and has no way of seeing that the place exists. So stop trolling me. I will never forgive you if I have to use a Deus Ex Machina.
Also, I am pretty sure Angelic beings are on a higher plane of existence/mortality than sages. Sages are another race, an exceedingly powerful race, but a race nonetheless. Even Phoenix sages can die, their just reborn. That makes them mortal. Angels can't die, they can only be destroyed/ eradicated/ erased from existence. If not then the Archangel would have gone out far easier than that. And either way, your phoenix sage is not Hikaru. Nor is he the embodiment of fire. Fire may bend to his will, but Will will not always bend to his fire. If you burn something that is nonburnable nothing happens unless you make it burnable. And since the shadow is undefinable due to it's nature, you can't just say it burns. You must point and shoot, which you cant do without luck, my help, or metagaming.
The temperature on the surface of Helios went up four degrees. There were no other effects inside the shadow.
Edit: OOC: Alright, I'm sorry for exploding on you, but it is infuriating. I have a new strategy that will end this one way or another.
A beam of silver light flew by with instantaneous speed. As it flew directly into a star, it seemed to take the star with it: absorbing the energy with a silver light. When the whole star had been consumed, most would be surprised by what stood in its place. His hair glowed silver, along with his eyes. Suddenly a silver glow began to encompass the suns and the tree. Something he was doing. Something old, and something dangerous. However he was not here to start a fight, but to end one. The stars slowly began to shrink, and the tree was turning back into a sapling.
"Sliph!" The man shouted in a commanding voice.
-
(You never pointed it out. Also, in Cap's defense, you never said it was protected against sensing magic signatures, just impossible to find which is godmodding it its self. Angels? They are of this existence and plane. They are from the North a realm outside of the Dimensional Plane, yes. But that does not put them outside our plane of existence in realities sense. They are no more powerful than a mere mortal at times. It depends on the individual angel.
Angels CAN die. They are not immortal.
Also BS on the last paragraph. Phoenix Sages have to go through my approval as it is my race. You cannot just NPC one out of nowhere.)
-
The ship sent out a transmission to the people of Helios:
We will send delegates to meet with your people in a moment. Please hold, thank you.
It began to focus on the stars which were quickly expanding, and decided to fight fire with fire... Or rather, magic with magic. The mages aboard the ship responded accordingly and summoned Holy Water which, like the stars, began to expand in size, larger and larger as it grew from feeding on the base magic which had been used to create it.
-
OOC: I know I can't just NPC one out of no where. It's Cadinae Rybic. I've requested him, and even had him in an extensive topic with Relle. Un BSed.
-
Sliph's name was never utter because NO ONE here knows that name. As the stars shrank, it caused it to implode... leading to an even faster expansion.
You see, the Helium Fire turned the Holy Water into Holy Water Fire. While hard to control due to the caustically opposite force, however, it was ignited. The very forced those mages were using was turned against them.
It was as if, whatever they were fighting was a natural disaster. The combination of three strange fires burned away at all that was in orbit of Helios, would at least damage anything in the system. As a sapling, grew back into a noble tree. Actually, there was now a forest of noble trees. Of a venerable size, these trees continued to grow, and spread across the moon, at a frantic pace.
-
It did grow back into a tree, and then to a forest yes, but only for a brief second. Cadinae's magic was to powerful. Though he was flexing with all his might, red, and sweating, he was able to reverse the time flow of the suns to the point where they were simple specks of light, and the sapling to a seed.
"Sliph," Cadinae uttered with an outward breath.
OOC: Yes, Cadinae does know Sliph's name. He touched him when he flew by and turned into a phoenix sage. Doing that, he also would absorbed memories from Sliph, and of coarse the memories would include his name.
-
(Cadinae was never approved. Calto was, but not the alter ego. That much power, and abilities that are borderline godmodding? Needs to be approved. And NO, secret approvals DO NOT count.
Also, You can't use phoenix sages WHATSOEVER without my approval as it is my race, so yes, BS.)
-
OOC: The Cadinae was approved by both K2 and Jeebus. That's what 'Addition Approved at the bottom of the page is referring to. And technically the power to have other people's powers is no more overpowered than whoever's power he has taken. He can't even take the abilities of embodiments, the most powerful PC Characters here. It's not like he has them all at once. The main thing that makes him overpowered is that you say he's overpowered. In reality he's only on par.
I know secret approvals don't count. Public ones do though (and Harassment Reports), and 2 has always been enough. Unless you want to go back in time IRL and reform to three approvals, you're stuck with Cadinae IC.
To take a power here is a simple interaction. Saying I can't take a power is like saying I can't talk to another character or defend myself.
UnBSed.

OOC: Link to public approvals in previous post.

the creature of indefinite shape disappeared.
OOC: Sliph hasn't been in the system since, you are dealing with what he left behind. Never touched him.

Actually his character has 2 approvals for the charater and the addition each. His charater IS approved. Get over it, seriously.
-
OOC: Alright then, it's settled. BS saying Sliph and turning into a phoenix sage. The silver time magic shrinking the stars and sapling remains.
And also, there's no date on the quote. Can you quote the entire post or at least direct me to where it is in the listing? I still can't find it.

OOC: Okay, it's edited now, but if he comes back don't expect him not to be touched. Also, creature of indefinite shape? Wasn't it shaped definitely like a bird?
OOC: Go read what Phoenix sages look like in their true form, at best it would be vary vaguely bird shaped. Its actions were bird-like, its appearance leaves it more to the imagination.
-
With one last tug of energy Cadinae closed the stars, and it was like they had never happened. The Aserical Shadow began to repair itself automatically, as if a piece of it had just drifted away. After all the years in space it would only make sense that some has been swept away, but needless to say it was never this much before. As the biggest star vanished for good, the seed that had just been a forest dropped into his hand, and he studied it closely.
-
"SIR! IMMEDIATE HULL DAMAGE! A BLAST FROM THE STARS HAS HIT US! WE HAVE A BREACH IN OUR HULL!" a captain yelled as the ship's alarms began to blare.
"ALL HANDS ON DECK! MAKE AN EMERGANCY LANDING ON ONE OF THE MOONS! I'LL GET AUTHORIZATION, JUST GO!" Fiske responded.
As the crew began to work towards making the necessary emergency landing on the nearby moon, Fiske first sent a transmission down to the moon. It seemed that the crisis was over, but major damage had been done to the ship in the process. A good portion of the crew was now dead -- those who had been in sections where the hull was breached would have lost all atmosphere very quickly.
Come in all parties, this is Fiske Tyris. We are making an emergency landing on one of your moons, I repeat, we are making an emergency landing. If you could please assist us with medical aid after we land, we have some injured bodies up here. Over.
He also sent a transmission back to K City informing them of the situation and requesting they send in a repair crew.

(I posted it outside of staff chat. No one said "This character is up for approval." Just bitched that it was posted. So no there was no sign saying that we could contest it. It isn't approved.)
-
OOC: Okay, the fact is there may very well be some stuff wrong with the character, but for all intensive purposes it was approved anyway. I don't think we should null the two topics here but we can re-examine the character's approval to determine the FUTURE of the character, what needs to be changed, etc.
-
(The godmodding aspects should be relooked at in the post.)
-
OOC: Okay, make an OOC topic.

The thing is, this tree was never a seed and could never be a seed. Its most basic form is a sapling. As it time rewound past that most basic form, it began to grow in reverse, roots up, tree down. The roots reached a forest size of gnarled tendrils of roots. The tree itself reached deep into the earth. How do you destroy what just continues to grow and grow no matter what you do.
The Shadow continued to burn. Because what caused them to burn was not the stars, Aserical Shadow Fire is hat burned away at the Aserical shadow. The stars were gone however, the Gas giant was now safe from certain destruction.
The K Empire Fleet was heading to the very moon that now had a a small forest.. made of roots.
1/6 til moon destruction
-
OOC: Unfortunately the sapling was not growing backwards because the time reversal magic working on it had stopped. It also would create no forest for the K fleet because it was on the wrong side of the tattered Aserical shadow.
Cadinae stretched out his hand to the shadow and it began to glow around the fire, and soon had never existed.

We can assist you. Land in the port of New Ibilin on Crfl.
The Message also came with a basic map to show it's location.
What in the name of Aser is going on?
-
The roots were growing as a result of the time reversal putting it past its most basic form, the sapling. So, even though the time was now normal. It was still growing backwards. The root forest was now larger, over an area larger than most mountain ranges, now thoroughly covering the landing zone of the Fleet. The roots themselves had grow tall enough, to be on the other side of the Shadow as well.
The Aserical Shadow Fire was gone.
2/6 posts til moon destruction.
-
Cadinae reversed the time flow on the roots, and they shrunk back into the seed. He shut his eyes for a brief second, panting, and realized, why not treat this like the sun, and pushed it even further back. He pushed further and further, until finally it was preexistent, and no longer a problem. He then pulled out a bottle and began to drink from it.
-
OOC: It was never a seed and can never be a seed...
All reverting it back did, was restore normal growth pattern. The renewed sapling quickly grew into a noble tree, and then a forest. The loosened ground made it easier for it to grow, and the temporal stress on the moon was increasing. The forest was now at least two miles in diameter, normal tree trunks.
There was no seed for this to be, thus it could only grow... and grow. It either existed as a reverse growing tree, or a normal growing tree... if growing at this speed was normal.

-
OOC: You said there was a seed earlier because it was past it's most basic form. And I just put it to preexistence. It doesn't exist anymore, so there is no forest, and even if it were a mile, that would be not nearly enough space to hinder the ships, even if it were on the right side of the Aserical Shadow, do you know how much space there there is in space? Between moons and planets? This is essentially a mini solar system with a forest you are trying to grow outside of. A league is such a wimpy amount of space that I'd almost feel fine with paying no attention. And even so, it no longer exists. I pushed it back so far it was before it existed. Like pushing a person so far back in time the egg in their mother's womb had yet to come to be. Your tree is gone.

OOC: Already talked to K2. All that does is reverse how it grows. Not a solution. So, your choice either it grows roots up or roots down. Also, you do not understand how big it can get. there is a simple solution, but I am not giving it.
-
OOC: K2, please explain how time makes this grow backwards. What this means is that this started out as a giant forest of roots and shrank until it was a sapling (and apparently right before, a seed). He's literally pushing it back in time, not simplifying its form. In this form he can't even do that. Because of this (and because you want it )
OOC: It was never a seed and can never be a seed...
can we agree that the seed thing never happened: that he just made it a sapling?
-
OOC: Time has nothing to do with it, it just grows backwards.
-
OOC: Why? It was brought on by being pushed back in time, why would it be growing backwards? Time has everything to do with it. Time is the single cause. Time is why it's happening at all.
-
OOC: Sorry, just re-read it all. From what I understand, it naturally grows backwards, so the time reversal field made it change?
-
OOC: Sorry, just re-read it all. From what I understand, it naturally grows backwards, so the time reversal field made it change?
OOC: Basically, every time he rewinds time to before the sapling stage it grows opposite of how it was growing. It started growing normally, but when he tried rewinding time to it being a seed, it grew roots up instead. The tree is just creation, it won't stop just because time has been rewound. all that does is reverse the growth method.
-
OOC: I see. Proceed.
-
OOC: So wait, what's the verdict? Is the fire sapling tree thing still there or gone?
Also, Cap, why do you even want to destroy my planet?
-
OOC: Cap's post is valid.
-
OOC: But why? Why does sending it back in time make it grow backwards?
-
OOC: So wait, what's the verdict? Is the fire sapling tree thing still there or gone?
Also, Cap, why do you even want to destroy my planet?
OOC: Nik its one of the moons not the planet... and Sliph got what he wanted and left, this is basically what he left to keep you busy while he got away.
-
OOC: You attacked my planet first. So anyway, you've got the plan of attacking an underprivileged society, for the single purpose of keeping me busy? You're keeping this society that doesn't know the rest of the world exists busy? That's kind of lame. Unless you were planting the tree as you're purpose. Speaking of which, it has become an impossibility because we didn't understand each others' technology. I didn't know what the tree was, so I didn't know it's most basic form was a sapling. You didn't know I was pushing it back in time, so you couldn't catch me on doing something I couldn't do, and did the growing backwards thing.

OOC:...That is creepy. Are you and Hikaru roommates IRL?

Three Day Rule Post #37. Will post results later today.
-
OOC: I've never waited 4 days before posting though, and it's a maximum of 3 days.
-
OOC:If you mean the three-day rule, Nik, I believe thats actually a minimum of three days before one gets to call it. No upper limit to how long one can wait, though. :/

Result of Three Day Rule
The noble tree had out grown the very atmosphere of the moon. Actually its canopy of leaves grew rapidly enough to slam into the K Empire fleet, the tree trying to grow into the ships themselves. As for the Moon itself, it was now absolutely covered in in trees like the one that just rammed the fleet. Their roots reaching deep into the moon reaching near its core, as branches snaked and grew on both sides of the shadow. From a mere sampling had come something of true uneasiness... it was as if creation itself was out of control. This moon was lost, the roots tearing it to pieces. However, the roots became a new moon, as the trees continues growing, reaching across the void of space to grow into the 11 other moons here... and the gas giant itself. Ripping through the Shadow as if without direction.

I've replied. What you're doing is illegal, but i don't care. I just want the griefing to stop.
Cadinae saw the outer moon torn apart by the plants, and he realized that there was only one thing he could do to save the people from the plants. What kind of emotionless monster could justify destroying an entire culture so callously? he thought as he began to glow with silver light, and suddenly he saw it growing in reverse. The plant receded back upon itself as well as the K ships that drifted backward in the slightest direction. The Shadow began to grow back at a lightning rate, but then began shrinking. Oddly enough, it would then burst into flame and grow back nearly the rest of the way. Cadinae then looked over, and saw the plant shrinking into his own hand, and at the very moment it became a seed, he grabbed his hand and closed it tight. Success. He had time traveled back a meager few minutes, and as time unfroze, he knew that the thing in his hand was a weapon of terror, and should be treated accordingly. Backing it through time was already proven to simply do a similar thing to pushing it forward. The answer seemed obvious now: to stop it. With a simple spell Cadinae froze the object in time as a seed put past it's most basic form, ready to strike at any moment. Unfortunately for it, it would get no such moment. With one last push, Cadinae wrenched and sweat to push it to a place where it would never take an innocent life again: the realm of the lost. As the small portal he opened closed , taking the seed with it, Cadinae's eyes drooped and his body relaxed. On the verge of feinting, Cadinae had exhausted himself almost entirely.
-
OOC: Really... we've been over this it was never a seed nor can it ever be. Its most basic form is a sapling. Also,
you had your chance to post. OOC posts do not count, K2 told you my post was valid and you still did IC post. Not my problem.
After exerting himself so much... it sad to see someone fail to save everyone but themselves. It wasn't a normal tree that was for sure, and why would this tree have a seed? Its was never a seed, thus, the sapling Cadinae sent to The Realm of The Lost was only a small part. So focused on turning it into a seed. He did not figure out it had no seed form. The roots in attempting to revert it grew into Cadinea's arm what he thought he sent away was now growing into and out of him. His arm would be weighed down by the mass of the new sampling, that quickly grew into the noble tree.
All this effort to rid the planet of a mere tree, only to have it grow inside yourself. The tree could not even be made aware of that horror, after all its a tree. The cruelest part of this, is that in the same spot where the first sapling grew was another. It was both beautiful and most likely terrifying, it was also growing.
1/6 posts til moon destruction... again.
-
OOC: We haven't been over this. I tried to clear this up in an earlier post by saying not a seed, and asked for you to second it. You never mentioned it again until now. And nonetheless you continued it to grow backwards, and the whole reason it did that was that it became a seed. Therefore, it thanks to you, it was a seed.
Also, since when do OOC posts not count? It doesn't say that in the rules. If it is a real rule, it should at least say that in the rules (Looks at administration. Looks back at the post).
Also, I wanted an explanation for why it was valid, and no one could give it.
Also, you cannot describe the killing blow and the death in a single post. You jumped from a meager mile in diameter to the destruction of the moon in a single post. Even if that is allowed, it goes against the very purpose of the three day rule.
And lastly, we're in space. An arm cannot be weighed down.
Cadinae resisted the growth through his body. As pain screamed slowly but surely down his arm, he cursed the sociopathic being that did this under his breath, still not knowing who it was. As a root reached the end of his forearm and trickled into his elbow, he wondered, Is this the end?
-
OOC: Every time you tried say seed even in my post I said it could not be and that its most basic form is a sapling, it does grow backwards if you revert it past that point, the its a sapling with roots up, trunk down. also, the counter 2/6 went to 6/6 that action the post was to complete. If you don't like that, you had every chance to respond IC. OOC posts shouldn't even be in here, and I'd preferred it if you had made an OOC thread in the IC disputes. You were told my post was valid, problem? post IC. Also, not describing the killing blow but what would be trying to grow into you, and noted, cannot be weighed down.
The tree would continue to grow into Cadinae, the roots trying to funnel through out his very circulatory systems, and take root within him. It was nothing but a mindless plant, why would it be a sociopath? If it continued to grow within him... he would most likely be ripped to ribbons. Time was not his ally today, was it?
The sapling on the moon grew into a noble tree, and then into a forest. This progression of rapid growth had become a familiar site here. Would the moon face destruction a second time? The mile sized forest that appeared again, in mere moments would ravage the existing land, creation taking over the surface. The K Empire Fleet still very much in danger of being hit by the result of this moons destruction.
A humanoid mass of water with a single wing appeared in-front of Cadinae, its shadowy mass of water seem to have an odd smile on its face. As if the owner of that smile had the whole of existence in his hand, it was one of both pride and hubris. the winged humanoid mass of water spoke in an odd tone, that could be heard even in the void of space, to only Cadinae.
"Child, how much does this planet's survival mean to you? You could still save it... if not by power, by compromise."

OOC: I really have no idea what's going on anymore, but Cap was valid in calling the three day rule.
As the entire ship was torn to shreds, Fiske Tyris and a handful of other men just barely managed to warp away in time. Their ship was not as lucky. It could be said that a great loss had occurred here today. Some force of magic had been trying to infiltrate. Everything. And whatever weapon it had used, it was strong. Too strong. Too strong for one ship.
Hopefully, Helios would survive. But for now, they were on their own. Would backup come to help them? One could only hope.
OOC: Gotta regroup, may be back in a bit to help you Nik.
-
OOC: There is no tree on the moon. I went back in time, to the post where I made it a seed past it's most basic form. The only sapling is in Cadinae's hand (literally). It has yet to grow, and Cadinae is slowing it down.
Because of this, K2's ship is fine, as the tree is nowhere near him.
And for the record, he was referring to the one who placed the plant, not the plant itself. Disregard for human/sentient life is sociopathic.
Cadinae struggled against the roots growing through him. He was powerful enough to stop it from growing at a speed worth noting, but not fast enough to stop it completely. He was on the verge of screaming in pain as a piece trickled past his elbow into his upper arm, when the face of water appeared.
"Compromise?" Cadinae said trembling with anger, fear, and pain.
-
OOC: Not my problem you do not understand what you are fighting, there never was a seed, its most basic form is a sapling, of either roots up or roots down. Also, its not merely just a tree. Of your own attempts you have split what was into two places, one where its on its original spot, and one where its growing into you. You have two trees to deal with now. If your character was not focused on turning it into something it cannot be... maybe you would of stood a chance. Oh, and knew exactly what you meant, anything wrong with sociopath characters?
The forest on the moon quickly grew into one that covered the whole surface of the moon. The first tree was now the size of a skyscraper, reaching further into the sky. The roots dug deep into the moon's crust and was begins to knock against the beginning of the core. Any life on the moon would be severely displaced and either injured or dead. It would be as if a tidal wave of forest had hit their habitat.
A small amount of creation was activated on the K Empire Ships, a sapling would be on all three. Beginning to grow into the hull.
The watery entity gazed upon Cadinae as the sapling growing into him writhed rapidly, his efforts to slow it making its movement wild and its urging deeper into his body brutal. It was like trying to pin down a crocodile. The entity began to speak, "Surrender"
"Surrender yourself and this planet to my master and me. It will require you to agree to a magic contract now. One that if you break or my master activates it, you will die. Your very essence burned away by your own powers. You will have you time powers sealed away for the rest of normal functioning time, and you abilities will be limited to what my master allows. This contact will be the signature one our new... treaty. All other loyalties you will rescind now. Your only master will be My master and me." The voice was monotone and without humor or room for debate.
"Additionally, this planet and its inhabitants will become the servants to my master. They will turn over 30% of their labors and its fruits to him. 15% of these people will be turned over to my master for... experimentation." again the coolness in his voice was a bit creepy.
"All you have to do is say I accept and the magic will overtake you. My master will stop the tree, and all will be fine with this world."

OOC: No, just no. I went back in time that last time. I didn't touch the tree, so I didn't do anything to it. He didn't turn it into a seed, he went back in time to when it was about grow backwards. He wasn't
focused on turning it into something it cannot be...
He was pushing himself back in time. I didn't touch it while it was anywhere near the moon. Therefore, if it did split in half, the two sapling must be next to one another.

OOC: You split it when you tried put into your hand. Good job breaking it Hero. Mind RPing?
-
OOC: Past and future self. They were both at the spot of the original though, so the sapling still cannot be on the moon. There can be two, but they are both in the same area.
-
OOC: Again, time is not a solution. You have five points of activated creation, you, the point on the moon, and the three K Empire fleets. So regardless those fives things will have a form of a sapling. Go You. Now mind posting IC?.
-
OOC: Time is a solution
O= moon
X= plants

I move through time from point a to point b. I did not move the plant from point a to point b. Because of this, there is no way that it could have left behind anything because it was never in fact at the moon.
And I'll post IC in 2 days or when I think of a solution

OOC: Again in that case you caused a second point of activated creation, not even close to solving the activated point of creation on the moon. Now you have five points of activated creation to deal with, the moon, the K empire ships, and oh guess what yourself.
-
OOC: I'm pretty sure making something never have happened qualifies as a solution. And Either way, can you at least explain your basis for a second tree on the moon?
-
OOC: I'm pretty sure making something never have happened qualifies as a solution. And Either way, can you at least explain your basis for a second tree on the moon?
OOC: You didn't solve the first one, the creation on the moon is still activated, time doesn't help you undo that. By trying to grasp the Tree now your character is also a point of activated creation thus the tree growing into the charter. You time shennagans is spreading it.
-
OOC: That only explains the one in my hands.
You're using K2's verdict on one move as a cure all to an entire feild of magic. What I did before was the opposite of super aging, but now I made it so it never happened.
-
OOC: That only explains the one in my hands.
You're using K2's verdict on one move as a cure all to an entire feild of magic. What I did before was the opposite of super aging, but now I made it so it never happened.
OOC: Then your entire system never happened. Nice try, if you want to go that route, have fun wiping your entire society from time. If you went this way the most appropriate way for me to respond is
Pseudo-IC: As Cadinea responded to the watery mass with one word, he should of realized e had erased the very existence of Helios, by erasing the moon from existence. It was the Moon's creation itself that caused the tree, to stop it with time Cadinea would have to revert it to a point where creation didn't exist here. Thus he erased local existence, the void of space filled where Helios once was.
-
OOC: Nik I'm sorry but to do what you are trying to do to counter it would require mass power beyond that of an embodiment. Try something that doesn't involve time for a counter.
-
OOC: Going back in time is super embodiment level power?
And Cap, no, just no. Helios has been around for a lot longer than our fight. I'm not looking at the timeline and ripping out strings, I went back in time a few minutes and did one different action.
-
OOC: That is the problem, the moon has a point of activated creation. There is nothing time-wise that would fix that, unless you brought it back to a point to when creation did not exist here, doing that would wipe out local existence. That is why the planet would be screwed over. the sapling itself is just a sapling, its the activated creation that caused it. This is weaponized creation, time will not help you, even if you made it that Sliph was never here in this timestream, it would still be active. You are dealing with a multi-verse with no fixed future, time is at this moment your worst option, does nothing to help you and costs to much of your charater's energy.
-
OOC: However it still would have pushed it back to a basic form, as we have already defined.
"What happens to the other 55%?" Cadinae said as the plant trickled up his upper arm, soon to reach his shoulder.
-
OOC: That is why the counter restarted to 1/6 with that post.
"They would be free to regulate themselves, my master will send servants to increase the standard of living and enrich the education system. All we ask is the stated conditions, and loyalty. Accept and not all will be lost." said the watery figure.
The moon covered in forest had trees no smaller than a skyscrapper, the biggest touched the start of the atmosphere.
4/6 posts til moon destruction.
-
Cadinae looked out at the moon that was overgrowing at a much greater speed than the plant inside him. Best way to hold leverage over me, he thought. No point in asking me to turn over the world if I'm dead. He thought about the moon that was being destroyed. It was a small moon with nothing useful on it and not the slightest touch of life. It was the outer rim moon that no one ever cared about. Yet even it's destruction could have potential consequences on the entire system. Then he asked, "How do I know I can trust you?"
-
As they were speaking, darts flew towards these darts flew at faster then light speeds as several burning objects entered the atmosphere. These winged figures were copies of another form, far away but they had copies of his abilities as well, though slightly less powerful. In fact, the darts were made of destruction magic. Anything they came into contact they destroyed. This means small parts of the atmosphere and then the darts flew around the planet, destroying each and every piece of the magic tree as fast as it could grow, they trimmed it.
There were six darts of destruction and six figures, which poured their energy into the darts. One flew towards the water being, its form of dark energy with strange pulsing around.
"Begone, foul being. Begone from this sacred place for you have no place here. Higher beings then you, from beyond, have sanctified this area. We will forgive your transgressions once, but not twice so leave whilst you have your chance."
-
The darts come into contact with the tree. Big mistake, something made of creation coming contact with something made of destruction. If they as much as touched the tree they would burn away in being canceled out. Yet would only destroy a single skyscapper sized, whatever the darts were they had underestimated the power of this activate creation, and in trying to attack it would destroy themselves. Heck, this attack wouldn't even slow down its growth. No matter how fast they were the first one that touched would destroy them and it. Baring that, Holy Fire would hit them from an indeterminable source, with a force of magic greater than their own.
"Beings of Hubris, you attack what you do not understand. You trifle with something older than even Angels. You will only find death should you attack without knowledge." Came a voice from no known location or source.
"You either trust me or die, your little friends over there will be the cause of their own death.Had my master wanted to destroy your planet outright, it would be already gone." said the watery being as it disappeared after dodging the attack.
5/6 posts til moon destruction.
-
However, thats not true. Each and every dart burned away the creation. It was powered from an almost godlike source, continuously so. In essence they both put each other in a stagnated state as they moved around, destroying what was created and being recreated.
More beings appeared and more destruction magic attacked the trees attacking the planet.
"There is few things older then angels fiend, begone from this place!" The being commanded once again.
-
Calto looked over at the new figure, the new angel attacking the forest. Could it be?
He couldn't sit back any more. He had to help the angel. His hair began to darken, and his skin took on a slight tan as he took on the form of William Benesque, a selfish cop on Duerme. He soon began to change form, drawing energy from the sun. His skin soon began to grow fur as a monster inside him decided to come out for a fight. Unfortunately there were some plants getting in the way. However this state he was turning into would be a state of natural healing, and against all odds would stop at nothing to push the plant out. What had been like a crocodile struggling against a man soon became a crocodile struggling against a hippopotamus. The holes the plant had made in Cadinae's arm were tightening up, forcing the plant out and healing itself where it did. While this was going on Cadinae let out a bloodcurdling sound that would make even a heartless phoenix sage shudder.
OOC: :P
-
The moon was lost to the roots of the trees, by attacking it the being played right into the trees function. It actually grew faster and stronger, the moment anything even close to destruction magic touched it, the source would die, and damaged the very source of the destruction magic.Whoever this being was, he had made a grave mistake, the weapon that caused this was made for fighting destruction, and by using that power, he had seal his fate. He would be either dead or extremely crippled.
The mass of trees, grew, unabated by the destruction, it was growing just too fast and anything that tried to use destruction died as a result of it. It slammed into the K Empire fleet, whose own saplings continued to grow. It would also thanks to its increased growth from the Angels foolish attack slam into Helios itself, many would die thanks to Calto's hesitation, and Angels inadvisable coarse of attack.
Calto himself, distracted by a moment of hope, and having had enough time to actually fight the tree inside him would die, ripped to shreds as it grew into the size of a small city, his flesh becoming needles in a tree haystack. His attempts to fight it too late and without anything to hold back just how fast this really grew when left without limits.
"Well child, time you met one of those few, and submitted to dissection." Said the voice with an obvious humor.
-
OOC: Even if it did win the fight, the creation magic would be slowed down from being partially dissolved. Also, you're assuming that it's military grade creation on civilian grade destruction. Zak has already made clear that that is not the case. It speeding up the growth of the creation is out of the question. Also, why dog on Calto? He's been dead for like fifteen years!
Unfortunately as at the tree tried to rip him apart, it would face a magic unlike that of time. It would meat the magic of charm. It would meet the magic of seduction. It would meet the magic of relaxation. It would meet the magic of a vampire. Though it was not to completely bend the tree to Cadinae's will it was easily enough to give an edge and force the rest of the tree out of his body, and with the one last push, the tree was pushed through space directly into a blast of destruction magic. Seeing as it had been only big enough to encompass his arms the entire thing would be guaranteed to be gone.
-
The magic of charm did nothing to the apathy of the tree even if it died it would encroach the tree to grow more, as Cadinea tried to push out the tree, it would fight back even harder, for no other reason than resistance. Everything he had done slowed it by a mere faction. He was gone, nothing for the man to do but be piece of flesh. The tree wasn't the problem, it was that Cadinea was now an activated point of creation, without the aid of the man who used this weapon... Cadinea was a dead man. Having lost his last chance of survival, Cadinea fell to the growth of the tree, as it encompassed him and tore him to shreds. The tree was now a mass the size a corvette, his flesh needles in a very big haystack.
OOC: Wrong for Zak, this "tree" is meant for fighting powers of destruction. The problem isn't in terms of powers, its a matter of using something that its meant to deal with. Go you. Heck, it could be said that for the first time in this thread the tree is being used for what its creators intended use for it.
-
00C: (on my iPod so limited ability) Zak's actually got a point. If you have a fire hot enough it will evaporate water. Same thing is happening here. The magic may be doing what it's meant to do, but it still needs a certain amount of power to do it. Zak has the clear advantage in that area, so it is not out of place for his fire to evaporate your water.
-
(Alright, enough seriously. NIK, you cannot used 'touched,' forms when your touch power is being contested. And also you're wasting the power of time like crazy. ZAK, you are using your angel of balance Aser as a freakin' tool. I understand helping your own empire as its in backstory. But sacred? Seriously? Nik's empire only? What deeming qualities do these Helephian have that other races don't that garners their protection over every other take over and fight around? What gives them these protections and divine being out of nowhere? Like wtf. If you're going to protect this planet you have to go protect every other planet in battle just to be fair and balanced otherwise it looks like you're using the character JUST to protect yours and Niks empires so you don't die. That's NOT what characters for and not why you were granted a character of heaven.
ANOTHER THING. http://shatteredplanes.com/forum/index.php?topic=3893.msg32498#msg32498 Aser does not have destruction as a power, it was told to change that part before it was approved. Now seriously, stop metagaming.)
-
OOC: Dont call Aser a tool. Hes not. He's in Nik's empire's backstory too, hence the Aserical Shroud which kept them damn well hidden until they were deemed ready. Perhaps he just likes them but he's been there almost since they existed. He changed them to how they were. Obviously he'd look over for it like he does the Zarethians. I wasnt granted a character from heaven or north or whatever you're calling it now for any particular reason other then the fact that I wanted one to go along with backstory and for story reasons in general. As for your second point: I havent seen Aser's profile in a while and things have gotten a little murky. I thought he had limited powers in destruction and creation, enough to make little darts go around. I apologise and I'll change that if you'd like, but again, its my fault. However, I'm still not bloody metagaming. Aser would protect this little empire, the races here because he's changed them into how they are now. He's protected them before. "Sacred" as in "Blessed by Aser, an agent from Heaven"
-
OOC: Technically the touch power is not in question. A simple aspect of it is, and even you had no problem with the DNA transfer.
Also, I haven't used any time powers since last week. Why bring it up?
And Hik, you sound like a frickin fantasy villain. "What are these weak pathetic beings to you!" Seriously? Anyways, it's not metagaming. like Zak said, the foundation of UCH is based on Aser.
Also, look at the topic with Cadinae and Relle. Near the beginning. Aser is in it. He gives the Heliphlein voyage his blessing.
If you want to get into why he would like Heliplein, let's start with his love for balance. The magical Heliphlein have literal emotion based magic. It allows them to balance their power much more easily. The only exception to this is torment. Also, they are weak. This piece will handicap them in a fight against other nations, yet with this disadvantage would be slightly made up for if he gave them a few things to remember him by. Maybe a few magical swords?
As for the Aserical Shadow, he would simply want to preserve the piece he created.
Lastly, if you want to be looking at godmods, why not look at the plant? A plant that needs no request, is made of creation magic yet is powered/ upgraded by destruction magic, can destroy planets with ease, is completely unaffected by the flow of time, and has no weakness whatsoever is okay but a man who can copy the already approved by administration abilities of others is complete blasphemy? Are you kidding me?
-
(OOC:
Blessed is one thing. Coming to their rescue every time? OUT OF NOWHERE? I didn't even see anyone say "OH ASER SAVE US." If he's an angel of balance then where was he in False Heaven? Where is he in the Pirate topic? Where the fuck was he in Plex? You can't have a character that's job is to be a bring of balance and help people if you only help yourself and Nik. That is metagaming and using such a character as a tool. Look at us with embodiments. Other than a few character development topics do you see us using our embodiments to better our own empires and kingdoms? No. And neither should you use an angel for such a selfish fucked up reason. Because right now it seems like you came to Nik's rescue just because he begged you to.
He would think a race that's racist is in need of balance and protection? )
-
OOC Racist...?
-
OOC: it has a weakness and is magic. When has magic needed to be approved. Oh and six post for moons and 12 for planets is not easy. I also restarted the counter where appropiate. Oh and Acer doesn't have destruction magic anyway.
-
OOC: I agree. Im simply wondering where you got the Perfect weapon from. Other then that point, which seems to be fine with K2 and Hik, your posts are legitimate.

OOC:
Its a on going plot invovling Sliph. Heck at this neither I nor my chataer care what happens on Helios, he only offer the chance to cadinea to make a deal because he saw an oppertunity. I just will RP out the tree as it is and how it works. Solve don't solve, come with a solution I did't think of I don't care all to much. However that doesn't mean I will make it easy. If it just doesn't work then I will RP that out.
-
OOC: Ah, okay. Well, see, that I dont really mind as much. It still kinda irks me you have access to perfect tech or magic or whatever but its legitmate. We just have to think of some out of the pentagon way of thinking to defeat you!
-
OOC: Ah, okay. Well, see, that I dont really mind as much. It still kinda irks me you have access to perfect tech or magic or whatever but its legitmate. We just have to think of some out of the pentagon way of thinking to defeat you!
OOC: Thats the spirit!
-
OOC: We're so screwed! 8D
-
Ooc: I find it unrealistic that there could only be one solution to it as a problem.
Also, this isn't straight magic. It is am magical technology. It is a piece of tech created by a powerful being and left to grow on it's own, not a spell he cast in a fight.
And to be quite frank the first time you used it to destroy a moon you counted six posts through OOC posts.
And Hikaru, you yourself are racist against the Enrakni because of their birth process. So is Zak. He's gone on for hours about how he doesn't like it. Anyway, not all Heliphlein are racist. To say an entire race is racist is initial of itself racist. Most outside of Ephel are perfectly fine with Enrakni, and so are many in Ephel. And either way, the Enrakni can steal your magic by mere touch. That's more reason to be skittish of them then any reason for discrimination in America, yet they've still mostly gotten past it.
To be honest at this point the Enrakni are more racist than the Heliphlein. Many believe that every magical Heliplein is as bad as the worst of the Ephlangar. Most who are racist are in fact racist by thought rather than by action. The see an Enrakni and feel uncomfortable, but don't want to hurt them, so they don't do anything wrong to them.
Lastly the great diversity is a reason for Ancel to help. Force them together and let peace break out.
Finally, I'd like to say that that most peoe I know would call it speciesism.
-
OOC: what causes the weaponized creation is whole cloth magic. The part is more of a component to do the spell. Once it activates the creation, it ceaces to be a spell and is activated weaponized creation with certain properties.
-
OOC: I'mma go ahead and assume that burning it wont help our cause.
-
OOC: You can try. Also, three-day rule is why that happened, you should have posted after K2 told you my post was valid.
-
OOC: Okay.
One thing though, you cast a spell on the cloth. The cloth activates the creation. The creation is the weapon, not the cloth, or the spell. I was referring to the actual creation being magic tech.
-
OOC: Okay.
One thing though, you cast a spell on the cloth. The cloth activates the creation. The creation is the weapon, not the cloth, or the spell. I was referring to the actual creation being magic tech.
OOC: No its not. Its converted creation, the magic converts it to what it is now. No fucking tech in it. Also, I believe the cloth thing is a metaphor, "cut from whole cloth".
-
OOC: It's a material made from a magic. It was never cast, it had to be converted, and made into a device that could be used by someone without creation powers already.
-
OOC:Nik, I think I can get what your saying, and I suppose technology might be the right word in some cases. However, it'd be more accurate to call it a Magical Artifact, honestly. Tech usually applies to machines or science-fiction-ey stuff as we would know it, when we refer to such on SP anyways. [/attemptatgettingthingsgoingagain]
-
OOC: Shouldn't artifacts be treated the same as technology? I mean, the Aserical Blades are more artifacts, but I'm fighting to get them approved nonetheless. If this is legitimate, then I should be able to just use the weapons.
Also, where do we go from here? Helios is destroyed, however the reasoning behind it is, well, shattered. There plant grew faster when met with a weapon that would at least slow it down, said weapon was never there to begin with, and the plant was never a seed.
-
OOC: K2 has said its valid, not my problem if you don't like it. Also, Three day Rule
Cadinea failed to protect himself from the expanding tree inside him. He was torn limb from limb into tiny piece as the tree that was inside him became a mass of forest like tangle of roots and branches in the void of space, his small amount of blood evenly caked on it.
The Expanding mass of giant trees, continued to slam against Helios, if only someone could have talked with who did this and find out their demands to end this are... The mass also spread a sapling to each of the remaining moons.

1 of 12 moons gone.
-
The figures sighed to themselves and flew back into the atmosphere, where they teleported the moon away, into lone space near a black hole and left it to its own devices.
EDIT changed planet to moon, signifying the moon they are on.
-
OOC: The plant is no longer inside Cadinae
And Zak, WHAT?! You put my moon next to a black hole!
Cadinae, rejuvenated by the rays of the sun, changed form again. His ears grew long and pointy, his hair turned pale blond, and his eyes turned dark navy.
"Never mess with with an soldier of Helios!" Cadinae, now Calto, said just before blasting the water being with a blast of ice cold enough to make mercury shatter instantly.
Throughout the moons of Helios, ships were starting to leave the surface. They were filled to the brim with people, though not civilians. There was an army of mages waging war on the plant any minute. It was time to defend home!
Upon their leaving, the mages who stayed would begin forming focus barriers around the planet, altering existence just slightly so that an impenetrable field around the moons and Helios. They didn't plan on loosing any other moons.
EDIT: OOC: Also, I'll be out this weekend, like I posted earlier.
-
OOC: You have done a lot to try and remove it, but nothing that has actually removed it, even then its part of the fact the Cadinea had a point of activated creation. Even if you removed the tree, another one would grow, liken it to cancer if you will. Even if you cut it out it can and will grow back. Cadinea is dead, you had your time to Post even one line IC and did not.Heck you even had an RP way to survive and did not take it. The last two things about the NPC mage okay, however Cadinea is dead, sorry bro. Oh, and the water thing is gone...
The tree mass would follow the path of least resistance, growing around the field, nearly covering the whole of the system of Helios in a mass of root, branch and trunk. This would block the very sustenance of its star... chances are, the very ecosystem would collapse under the weight of an hour of this.
-
And all at once, the tree just disappeared.
There was no sign of why except for a bright shine of platinum light throughout the area.
(OOC: Already discussed this with Cap, will be explained much much much later.)
-
The figures teleported back to the moons and began to check upon the local populace, healing and providing aide wherever possible.
-
OOC: Awww...
Mass death and destruction on an unbelievable level. The two K Empire ships themselves, battered and almost completely destroyed, teleported -- yes, teleported -- out of the area, with only Fiske staying behind, exposed to the coldness of space, but seemingly still alive. He looked upon the destruction, amused, and looked at what still remained in tact. A moon, it seemed, had been destroyed... But by who?
He quickly teleported to the nearest moon, and in a flash, there he appeared.
-
OOC: Cadinae had a point of activated creation resting on the palm of his hands. It grew into him, but he pushed it out, like squeezing spaghetti out of a cheap rip off of zip lock. I had an RP way of doing it, and it did it. Then you inexplicably said he was dead.
And also (This may sound sarcastic, but it's not meant to be), one thing I just want to say, thank you Hikaru for informing me over and over about how time theory works on SP. Since Cadinae came from an alternate timeline, even if he had died, I can bring him back from another timeline, and in this timeline he never died.
The Ships came back and docked in their respected ports as the shadow grew back and healed to normal.

OOC: Though the Alt!Timeline one would have experienced different things than his dead counterpart, each choice is like a fork in the road.
IC:
Fiske was trying to find someone on the moon who he could open diplomatic relations with. Obviously, now was not the best time. He volunteered his services at the nearest location he could find to do just that. A few corvettes arrived carrying medical supplies and sent a transmission to the planet, offering the full aide of the K Empire in its repairs.
-
OOC: I know, I just want to avoid using the current Cadinae later and having Hik say "You can't do that! He's dead!"
And also, I'm sorry about the huge confusion that's about to happen IC, but it would be unrealistic to avoid it.
The Aserical shadow completed it's healing, and all communications would suddenly stop as if the entire area had dropped itself into another world.
A Heliphlein officer running by saw Fistke, stopped, and said threateningly, "Who are you?"
-
Aser's figures simply continued their work, rebuilding and helping those lost or injured and comforting those who they could.
-
"Fiske Tyris, at your service. I'm Chair On The Floor of the Royal House in the K Council of the great K Empire, and prince, faithful servant to God and country. It's a pleasure," he replied.
-
OOC: You tried many RP ways of removing the tree, and none of them worked. I roleplayed why they were not working and you decided not to post for one of them, thus three-day rule = death since the whole tree inside you was a kill attempt. Three-day rule my kill attempt works. Cadinea is dead, and if you bring him back, chances are he went on a path in life that never lead him to being a Templar.
-
OOC: ...Cadinae was born a Templar, and what has happened so far IC is completely definite. No matter what, if I bring him back he will be a Templar in his true form, he will have switched lives with Calto Rubian, and he will be epic. *Waves hair* And anyway, you didn't explain how the plant passed his Virenlupen strength.
The officer was taken aback by this, not knowing what to do. After thinking a bit, he said, "Follow me," and returned to city hall.
-
Fiske followed him to City Hall, a curious expression on his face as he observed the culture on the moon. Things seemed to be quite... Normal here. Had these people been living around the planet, with it's strange isotopes, for all this time? That was... Unusual. How had the K Empire never detected them here, living life?
-
When they got to city hall, the officer asked a superior what was to be done, the two discussed quietly for a few seconds. The superior then stepped forth and asked, "Did your people do this?" beckoning i the missing moon.
-
"I am Fiske Tyris," he replied, "My people were trying to assist in the fighting against whatever attacked your planet. I was coordinating with an officer on the moon that was destroyed. I would like to bestow the sympathies of my people, the K Empire, for your losses."
-
The superior officer looked at the police officer, then said to Fiske, stay put until we know what to do with you. He then pulled out a communicator and began talking into it.
-
"Sure," he replied, "Not like I have anywhere else to go."
-
OOC: Time Jump, one hour
On a slightly different note, K2, check your inbox about the Reyky Heartbreak quest.
The plant had done hardly any damage to the moon Fiske had landed on, and at this point the people of the UCH were mostly just shaken.
A group of three Heliphlein came up to Fiske. "Are you Fiske?" they asked.
-
"That's what my birth certificate... Would say... If I hadn't been born in Hell," Fiske replied.
-
The Heliphlein paused for a moment, puzzled, then asked again, "Are you Fiske?"
-
"Yes," Fiske replied, "Come on, have a sense of humor."
-
"They're CCLO's," the superior said with a chuckle. "Confederation Central Line Troopers. They have no sense of humor when their on the job."
The leading CCLO glared at him for a second, then said to Fiske, "When you make up your mind weather or not you are Fiske, come with us."
-
"Uh.. I've said twice that I'm Fiske," he said, blinking as he followed the CCLO. These guys really were strange, huh? They reminded him much of some of the K Empire's own. Or the Aralangs, for that matter. Yeah, these guys were a lot like those Aralangs. He wondered where they were now -- nobody had seen them since shortly before the Plexan War. That was eight whole years ago.
-
The CCLO's stepped into some sort of flying vehicle with it's engines spurting out bits of light and heat. One of them whispered to Fiske, "Don't mind him. He just wants to completely sure it's you. He's made a few mistakes in the past, and he doesn't want any repeats."
-
As Fiske stepped into the vehicle, he whispered back to the man, "Thanks, but it really doesn't phase me. I was taught growing up not to let emotion control my life. I understand completely."
-
"You'll fit in with lot's of people here then," he said. Since Heliphlein magic is based in emotion, the slightest slip can be catastrophic."
-
"Sounds destructive," Fiske agreed, "So, where are we going?"
-
"Peltular," the CCLO said. "It's the nearest city with a UCH headquarter in it."
-
"Right," Fiske agreed, "Let's go."
-
The ship's engines fired up, and pulled away. As it flew over the mountainous area, a wispy layer of clouds just below them, it would be impossible to deny the beauty of the moon. After an hour or so of flying, a large city would loom into view, dwarfed by the mountain it hung off of. The ship came to a land on a high tower, and the passengers began to pile out. "We're her," the head CCLO said.
-
"Alright!" Fiske cheered, stepping out of the vehicle and stretching. His view from the top of the tower was breathtaking. He could see the true beauty of the city, the other towers around, the people in the city below. It was magnificent.
-
"Come on!" the lead CCLO said rudely as he entered the building.
-
Fiske ran to catch up with the lead CCLO, rolling his eyes at the negativity of the man as he, too, entered the building.
-
The CCLO's brought him into a large office room.
"Sit," the lead CCLO said abruptly.
-
Fiske did as he was told, sitting in the chair, a diplomatic smirk on his face.
-
"Let's start with the simple question: why are you here?"
-
"I led a small fleet here, unaware of your civilization, when we detected rare isotopes -- from your planet -- seeping through your defensive shroud. I wanted to come personally, despite my status as a prince of the K Empire, to seek out the potential of this isotope, which our scientists say could be detrimental in technological advancement. When the intruder slipped in upon our arrival, I devoted our small fleet to trying to assist in stopping them, but I'm afraid we were only equipped for bare necessity, as we thought this to be a purely scientific, routine mission," Fiske explained, "May I have a glass of water?"
-
"No," said the leader, but one of the other CCLOs had already left to get Fiske some.
-
"We are more than willing to exchange in trade with your people," Fiske proposed.
-
The CCLO stopped for a second, and another piped in, "What resources would you be willing to offer?"
-
"We have advanced technologies which can help you to defend your planet in the future," Fiske informed the CCLO, "Such as our Sky system, a purely defensive technology which can literally remove threats which attempt to enter your atmosphere."
-
He paused for a second. "And what would you want in return?"
-
"A permanent research base in orbit of your planet," Fiske responded, "And permission to take isotopes from it. We will, of course, share our research from the isotopes with your people."
-
"We'll have to confer with our leaders first. This isn't something we want to just rush into. How do we even know we can trust you?"
-
"Tell me," Fiske replied, "Have you met the Zarethians?"
-
"We've never met anyone outside of the shadow," the CCLO began. "We sent a scout outside of the shadow eight years ago, but never heard back."
-
"I see... The shadow. That's what you call it," Fiske responded, standing and lifting his hand towards the ceiling, palm outstretched. A beat, and it began to glow a blueish color. He lowered the hand, and clenched his fist briefly before opening it back up to reveal a black aura, a part of the shadow, surrounding his hand. He nodded, examining it. Interesting...
"Divine magic, I see," he noted, "Yes... I know it well. It's very powerful. In fact, this makes sense. We were going to pass off what we were picking up on our scanners as an error in our system, but I felt there was more to it than that... I suppose that's because I spent much of my life dealing with corrupted versions of the being who created your shadow."
-
The CCLO's looked at each other, then one asked, "How many of these beings exist?"
-
"Thousands," Fiske replied, nonchalantly, "But you don't have much to worry about. They tend to keep to themselves, I suppose, and don't bother anything on this side."
-
The CCLO's sat back shocked. The only being of this nature they knew was Aser. Well, Aser and that... other one. "Is there any way you would know how to... contact them?"
-
"What, the corrupted ones or the non-corrupted ones?" Fiske asked, somewhat surprised by the question.
-
"At a guess, noncorrupted," the CCLO said. "One in particular. Have you ever heard of one called Aser?"
-
Fiske smiled at the CCLO, shaking his head as he replied, "I'm afraid that I haven't. If you need help contacting this Aser guy, I guess we could help your people out. None of... us exactly have the... um... ability to simply contact such beings, but we have... friends who can. We'd be glad to help you. It's the least we can do, if we were the reason the one who attacked you got through your defense."
-
The CCLO's knew that it was more complicated than that. Some people here worshiped Aser, and thought he was the rightful ruler of the Heliphlein Empire. This had always been laughed out of most cases, but now it looked like it could be a reality. Either way, Fiske had proven himself and his nation of great use to the Heliphlein Empire, and he would not be forgotten.
The CCLO turned to the leader, who himself was now in somewhat of an awe, and said, "We need to get him to the capital."
-
"Capital? Is that here, or on another one of the moons?" Fiske asked, interested.
-
"It's on this moon," the CCLO started, "But it's halfway across the globe from here."
-
"Right, we'll just teleport," Fiske suggested, "You... Do have magic, right?"
-
"Our race has magic," the CCLO started to say, "But none of us specifically have the trait."
-
"Right then," Fiske said, "Well, I don't know where your capital is enough to teleport us all there. Guess we'll have to take the manual route."
-
The lead CCLO turned to one of the other CCLOs and affirmed, "Let Kivar know we're coming. And you," looking to another one, "Bring him a Utalia world map."
-
"How long should it take us?" Fiske asked, curious.
-
"I don't know," the lead CCLO said. "You're the one teleporting us."
Just then the CCLO came back in with the map. Putting it down on the table, he pointed out a small island inbetween two continents. "Kivar," he said.
"That's our capital," the nicer of the CCLO's said getting up, and pointing to the other side of the bigger continent. "And that's where we are."
-
"Right," Fiske said, "Everyone grab hold of me."
-
The CCLOs stood back for a second, but the kinder one broke the ice and grabbed his shoulder. Several CCLOs, including the reluctant leader, followed his example.
-
Fiske shut his eyes, concentrating, and in a moment's notice, they were gone from the room. They reappeared, however, in the capital city, among it's hustle and bustle. Fiske sighed, a bit drained from the teleportation, but quickly caught himself and looked around the city, interested. It was the first time in quite awhile that he had been in the capital of a foreign land, as his business usually required him to remain at the K City.
-
City buildings stretched up all around them as they appeared on in the city. The land was far less mountainous than the area they had come from. In the crowded place where they stood, dozens of people going about their business jumped back at the sight of the teleporters.
-
Fiske simply smiled and politely waved. Okay, so maybe the people around here weren't exactly big on magic, but, hey, what could you do? He had come here, after all, from a foreign land on a science mission, which turned into a diplomatic mission, which turned into a combat mission, which turned back into a diplomatic mission. He was not exactly the most normal guy around.
-
"Velif district..." the CCLO said to himself. "Come on!"
-
"Right," Fiske replied, following behind the CCLO, ignoring the strange glances he got every once and awhile.
-
The CCLO lead the way through the bustling city, until they came to a station. They flashed their badges, and then got onto a monorail-like vehicle.
-
Fiske had no idea where the fuck he was now. His mind was swirling with questions as the group walked through the capital city, past the bustling and hustling of people. It was a city. People were going to work, exchanging in conversation, and everything else that usually took place in a city. Nothing out of the ordinary was going on.
As they stepped into the dark, grimy station, Fiske could hear people inside. Getting past security, when they entered, Fiske was blown away by the pure beauty of the inside, in such contrast to the outside. The place was different than anything he'd seen before. The K Empire's architecture, after all, was no where near as... Colorful as what he saw here, and he liked it. As the group made their way into what seemed to be a gathering place of all sorts of individuals, he was amazed to realize that it was some sort of transportation facility.
Joining the group, stepping past the necessary check-points, Fiske stepped foot into the vehicle, after quite the walk through the station. He looked around, curious, to see the custom and precautions others were taking.

-
On the inside of the car there were no seat belts or anything to stop them from being flung across the car in the event of a crash it would seem, but Fiske would feel a slight difference when the doors closed. It wouldn't be enough for most to tell, but he had gotten heavier. An artificial gravity had been distributed over the interior of the vehicle, and it would stop any forces of the train's movement to affect the passengers as it speed off through a glass tunnel. The ride stayed at the same height the whole time, but the cit would not. In some places a block would be at ground level like where they had started off, and at the next it would have dropped fifty feet. The city had a much bigger underground system than a passer by might realize at first, but the underground system would become the ground level or the above ground level depending on which rout you took.
On all the main government centers on the moons orbiting Helios began a rift, a hole, a crack in the ground. A fissure which spread and spread all along the roads, small, not very damaging but still very evident. Each section was wracked with a small earthquake and a sonic boom echoed across the cities.
On the outer wall of each building were cracks. They were not, however, normal cracks. No, indeed they began to take the form of numbers, many, long numbers etched and glowing with green energy. They were not simply normal numbers, no, they were coordinates.
Under them was etched a green A with an upside down triangle around it.
As the train came neared it's destination, the cracks formed in the courtyard below. The CCLO's rushed to the window, and one swore, "What in the name of Aser is that!"
-
"Not again," Fiske replied, sighing as he glanced up at the crack.
-
All of them would hear a voice talking to them. It came from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. It was not sinister but it was different, abnormal. It was soothing and simultaneously it was irritating, like an itch that can't be scratched. However, they would be the only ones who could hear it: it was all in their heads.
"Aaaah, hello there. Do not be alarmed, for I am a friend. There is about to be a revolution of the universal scale. The universe will soon be at war, for evil fight and take from the weak as the good attempt to defend them. Titans are about to clash and there will be no respite from the storm. One or another, good or evil, just or chaotic, there is no middle road. Helios has been attacked once and I have tried to defend it but I can not do everything by myself. In order for you to prosper, you must have allies... Follow the coordinates and you will find them."
-
As Government officials would hear the voice enter their head and see the great A forming, they would immediately descend into a talking frenzy. Was it a trap set by some new enemy? Was it some kind attack by the makers of the plant or terrorists? Was it safe to go to the coordinates? Was there really no middle ground? Was the voice for the good, evil, just, or chaotic? When he said universal proportions, how much universe extended beyond the shadow? Was it a death world out there? Was it a simple world out there? Could the crew of the Stalburfugal be found again? What had happened to them? Were they a part of this new revolution? What was this new revolution? Why was it happening now? Why was it happening at all? And who was this being calling to war?
All knew the answer to the last question, but they kept the possibility to themselves, not admitting it to themselves even. The implications had to much gravitas to be said without certainty.
As the train came to a stop in the Tower of Executive Order, the CCLOs rushed out and plunged into the building. "Come on!" one said to Fiske urgently as they ascended into the building.
-
Fiske urgently followed them, a feeling of worry setting into his every bone.
-
The lead CCLO reached a guard who wasn't letting him past. He simply held up his badge and said, "Mickael Evelans superior field officer in the Confederation Cenrtal Line Agencey. We have made contact with an alien diplomat and are bringing him here by direct order of Colonel Vvilzen."
The guard made no argument.
As they ran through the door, they would find a large room with several levels of bridges connecting many rooms and platforms. Men dressed in CCLO attire rushed around the room along with people dressed less formally, analysts of different sorts. A somewhat wider set man was walking around in suit like other CCLO's, but khaki coloured, somewhat more practical looking. As people ran to him he would quickly give them orders and send them running in another direction. As Evelans ran up to him, he would shout inquisitively, "Sir!"
Colonel Vvilzen would turn abruptly, then say calmly, though forcibly, "Ah, Agent Evelans. Have you brought me my alien contact?"
OOC: If you want to know what he looks like, think Glenn Morshower:

"Fiske Tyris, sir," Fiske replied, offerring his hand to the colonel, "It's a pleasure, sir, though I wish it were under better circumstances. As you're well aware, I'm sure, one of my ships is already in the vicinity, offering aid."
-
"Much appreciated young man, but I'm sure the best aid you can offer us right now is intelligence," the colonel said in his commanding military voice, shaking the hand back. "There's some men from the OIA who really want to speak with you if you'll come this way." As he started leading them across the busy room, he started to inquire, "My men told me you knew about Aser, or at least more than we seem to know. The A's showing up in our government districts and you showing up I'm guessing are a little more than a coincidence, am I right?"
-
"I'm not sure about the strange letters appearing," Fiske replied, "But yes, I am aware of the beings such as Aser that you speak of."
He followed the colonel, standing proudly as a diplomat of his empire. "I will be glad to provide you with all the intelligence you need. I've also come to negotiate trade with your people."
-
"Good to know, and I'm sure we'll be happy to establish trade with your people, but unfortunately it's not my job to deal with foreign affairs. The OIA agents will help you with that." the colonel said. Turning to the left he said, "But all that can wait an extra few minutes. We've figured out where the coordinates lead, but it's outside the shadow." Walking up to a computerized screen, the colonel pointed at a map showing the point in relation to Helios. "Do you know where that could possibly be?"
-
"Coordinates of what?" Fiske asked, looking at the screen.
-
"That's exactly what we want to know," the colonel answered.
OOC: The ones that appeared via Zak
-
OOC: Waiting for Zak.
-
The green A in the circle and the coordinates *Autobots roll out topic, Other* were displayed in front of them.
-
"It's," Fiske started, looking at the coordinates, "A hailing message of sorts. Someone is trying to reach you... Do you have any ships?"
-
"Plenty," the colonel answered.
-
"Upload these coordinates to one, then," Fiske replied, "If you'd like, my own ship can accompany yours to these coordinates, in case it's some sort of trap."
-
"Sounds like a plan," the colonel replied. "However, I sadly cannot accompany you on this one. I'm the head of CCLA, and my jurisdiction is on Utalia alone. OIA are the ones to talk to about this, and luckily for you there's a few who want to speak with you right now."
He then turned, and resumed his original route.
-
"Yeah, it seems I'll be stuck here, but my crew can handle it," Fiske replied as the man left.
-
The colonial stopped when he realized Fiske wasn't following him. He turned around and said, "Well don't just stand around all day, we've got work to do!"
-
"Oh, right!" Fiske replied, running off to follow the colonel.
-
OOC: Sorry, Apathy attack
"Now, fair warning, it may be days before anything really happens once I hand you over to them," the Colonel said as they walked.
-
"That's quite alright," Fiske said, smiling, before a small beep went off on his communicator. Pulling it out of his pocket, he glanced down at the message that was printed clearly on his screen, silently reading the words, "OPERATION MAY BE COMPROMISED. HOW SHOULD I PROCEED?"
Smiling, Fiske typed back, "Eliminate the leak."
He put the communicator back in his pocket and kept walking.
-
As they walked down the hall, they met a man in a dark suit with dark glasses. He pressed his ear, then said, "The Outershadow is here."
He then walked up to Fiske, then said, "Pleased to meet you Mr Tyrus, my name is Smiht. I am a representative from the Outer Intelligence Agency."
-
"It's a pleasure," he replied, shaking Smiht's hand.
-
"It's good to meet you and I'd love to do a proper questioning, but unfortunately due to recent events I am under order to keep things brief. So much is happening so fast, and to be quite Frank your background seems like it will be highly useful in many areas," Smiht said as they started walking away. "Now, can I get a confirmation, is there really space past the shadow, and if so how much is there beyond it?"
-
Fiske seemed shocked at this question. He knew that these people were, well, literally in the dark, but he had no idea that they were truly this... Closed off. To not even know if there was life outside their planetary orbit? Remarkable. Then, Fiske realized, this was the first alien contact they'd likely made since the Aser being they kept referring to visited. This would be a moment in history for their society. That was wonderful... Right?
"Yes," Fiske replied, "In fact, you are but a small dot in the grand scheme of things. Beyond your shadow, there are other planets in this solar system... That is, other planets which revolve around your sun. Beyond that, there are other suns out there, with planets that revolve around them. These solar systems make up this galaxy, the group of stars which are clustered together in this point of space. There are other points in space where clusters of stars lay, other galaxies, such as the one I'm from. Beyond that, there are other... Dimensions. Other places. Places with no space and stars at all."
-
OOC: Oops. I forgot they already knew about the other side of the shadow due to Sliph burning a temporary hole in it XD
Smiht wrote that down.
Then after a second, he asked, "Recently we were attacked by a creature, a being that seemed like a green bird. It had a great manipulation over fire, and then dropped some kind of plant into our system that rapidly grew to consume one of our moons. Do you have any idea what it could have been?"
-
"Yes, I was caught in the aftermath of the creature's attack. My ship was nearly destroyed. I am unaware of what it could be."
That was a lie. He felt as if the being might have been one of the Marid, he could feel it, sense it. The very description given, though, contradicted this assumption. Fiske had only gotten a glance at the creature... He did not dare mention that the attacker was possibly a trade partner of his empire. To do so would likely end relations with Helios right away. Instead, he merely smiled and fed the agent his lie.
-
Being from a world that was tied to emotion so heavily, and an agent of the law who had had his fair share of interrogations, Smiht immediately noticed something was up. The smile was just off, but Smiht knew there were other things to handle. He decided one more question on the subject, then asked it:
"What do you know of Niv?"
-
"Niv?" he asked, "Please clarify."
-
"The enemy of Aser, a black being with green wings is how he is believed to appear," Smiht responded. "Many of us don't really believe in Aser as a supreme creator, but those who do see him as the destroyer, the Anti-Aser if you will. However, from what I learned today, I would guess that he is a real figure somewhere in the universe."

-
"I'm not sure how your ships work, when it comes to coordinates... Though, I suppose we could travel there in my ship. I'd be glad to take you... To find out what's going on. You, or whichever of your people might wish to go on your behalf," Fiske replied.
