Title: Sliph's Choice
Post by: Ragnar the Red on January 12, 2012, 12:37:30 AM
It was all a peaceful day on the world of the Marid. The inhabitants of it were going about their  normal buisness, thinking that nothing out of the ordinary would happen that day. Nothing could be further from the truth as four golden sarcophaguses would plummet to the surface of the planet, each at an opposite end. As they hit the surface, runes on it reading, "Only the Green Phoenix. Only the Green Phoenix may."

OOC: Calling meta. You do not know who "Green Phoenix" is or where he came from. Also this to me is an OOC retaliation against my as a RPer personally, thus you are metagaming on multiple levels.

OOC: He is Cadinae Rybic, a Denutemp who travels through time. He also has the power to touch someone and take on both their body and memories. If you would like a full blown explanation of previous adventure Leading up to this, I'm can to give it.

OOC: Never touched Sliph, by the time this character decided to show himself on Helios Sliph was gone. No way he could of touched Sliph without Godmodding or Metagaming.

IC: The Marid went about their normal day, because NOTHING was amiss.

OOC: If Sliph leaves you have to post it. You never did. That means he's still there right now even.

IC: Except for the strange sarcophaguses.

OOC- Alright, alright, alright... i foresee a flame war fast approaching. Both of you, explain why or why not this should be valid.

OOC: Pretty simple,  Nik here is posting using IC knowledge he characters just does not have. his character never touched Sliph, because Sliph long was gone by the time he posted. Thus it is metagaming to claim knowing anything Sliph knows. Actually, I'll get right on that.

In addition, I call OP and God-modding on the character itself. "Touch" you can know everything the other knows and act as them? From what is already established in the RP that is impossible. He have to steal spirit to get the memories and no way in hell stealing the whole of someone's spirit through a "high-five".

OOC: I have a time traveler as a character, so it is entirely possible for the topic in Helios to be the second time Cadinae met Sliph, but the first time Sliph ever met Cadinae. And even so, Cap is claiming that Sliph left the scene, and I've looked over the posts time and time again, and found no such thing. He has produced a quote, but there is no date on the quote, and it could be from any topic from any site, so it doesn't seem to me to be a good proof. Also, this character has been approved, and was one of the most controversy filled approvals I've ever seen on any RP. It is a bit of a godmod, but so is creating a star cluster. And it's not like a one quick touch will get him every memory from thousands of years every time. It could, but Cadinae knows it could drive him crazy having billions of years of different people's memories, but getting a month would get you someone's name and greatest passion in life.

OOC: Wrong, not even Asura knows the future. Thus he would have had to meet Sliph in the past regardless of time travel powers, and that is impossible. Also, the difference between generating a cluster of growing starts and stealing memories is that one is just a matter of magic level, the other requires you steal spirit.

In addition I have produced the whole post. Your point Nik?

OOC- Nick, can you provide the proper evidence, IC, the you touched Sliph?

OOC: Yes, you have now produced my whole post.

And anyway, he's not psychic, but he does know his past which will happen as your future unless he does something to change it. Asura's not psychic, but has powers controlling time itself rather than the events that happen in it. If she decided to time travel, she would know the future. If she went backward in time all of her life before that is the future. If she went forward and came back, all the time she spent there would be the future. Maybe not knowing the future in entirety, but I never claimed that. I never even claimed knowledge of the future, just occupancy.

And I spell my name without a c

Actually, you are totally wrong. Her powers aren't just time, she IS Time. She is the past, present, and future embodied. However, as knowing the future will change the future she cannot travel to the future. She can by jumping timelines, yes. But know that future is subject to change at any moment. There IS no fixed future. For your character to be from the future and this his past is logically impossible. He can be from A FUTURE, but not THE FUTURE, as there is no THE future due to infinite timelines -.- If he was from the future then by him traveling back the future just changed and he would be from a separate timeline from our own, congrats.

The argument is, yes. But the fact his character is treating the future like its fixed is gonna create more topic problems if he's not informed -.-

Deal with it in an OOC forum... Locked, again.
