The Xuna II and the Froa come out of FTL and deployed their fleet of 200 frigates, the Nagant class frigates among them further deployed their cannon funnels. In concert, these vessel and automated weapons covered the whole asteroid field. Firing on any sign of life. They were here to take this place as their own. Any ship here was to be destroyed, anything alive was to be eliminated.
Just outside the system, The La Plas II stood ready, to fire its FTL slug on any ship brave enough to show itself. A weapon made for planet glassing... would tear most any ship into pieces.
-
Almost immediately, the enemy would notice that their long-range transmission systems were entirely jammed. If things got bad for them, they'd have no way to call for help. However, short-range comma systems were strangely unaffected.
And, of course, these Pirates wouldn't just give up, after all.
First things to happen was the deployment of Wolf Pack Rabid-extremely agile ships that moved fast enough to prevent a opponent from getting a easy lock. Really, the same could be said for all of the Wolf Pack's ships, its just the Rabids are the fast-est of them due to reduced armoring(though the sport respectable shielding technology). Lightly armed against shield technology, having just plasma turrets, but extremely effective against enemy hulls due to their beam-cannon. Around 80 of these corvettes went after the new ships. Next would come the Cannonades and Battering frigates, with four Cannonades attached to the sides of each Battering Frigate, in order to pool their collective engine power for pure straightaway speed. . .Directly at the enemy frigates. At the last second, the Cannonades break off, launching the larger Battering frigates at the enemy, smashing into them with their own powerful offensive shield tech. After the initial impact, they immediately attempted to flee, flying in reverse as their main cannon blasts at the enemy ships. Meanwhile the cannonades themselves kept darting around at ridiculous speeds while firing at the enemy ships with four laser flak cannons per Cannonade at the invading ships, this setting designed specifically to shred through shields. All in all, that was around 50 individual Battering frigates and four Cannonades per Battering.
During all this, Jarrek was running through the actual base, to the Command Room. Once he got there, he initiated a Full Alert protocall, to get EVERYONE battle-ready. As well, over the PA, he yelled,"CORVIC, RYCHART, ATLAS! ALL LORDS, TO THE COMMAND CENTER NOW! WE'VE GOT VISITORS!"
-
Backing up the wolves, the Zealot ships, excluding their ISAF Cruiser. Back on the station, Rychart burst into his office like a soldier ready for action.
"You seeing this?!?!" he asks as he throws down a holopad with the enemy's blips on it. "Some one has sent out a fucking death squad for us!" Rychart exclaimed in an uproar.
EDIT: Changed wolfs to wolves.

Will Atlas, even though he had not officially retired from the pirates yet ran to the area and ordered all of his pirates to deploy. New Frigates armed with stolen muramasa beams and membrane phase torpedoes, about 50 of these would deploy to attack the enemy. Laser cannons on the base would also be engaged and open fire at the enemy ships. Two Capital ships would also deploy and bombard the enemy ships with missiles and lasers. An AT, AP, and AST along with AHS would be raised in the entire area preventing the people on the other side from teleporting in reinforcements. It would stop them from bailing for now unfortunately?but this was a vital evil. The frigates were not all that would be deployed however as Will put his ID card into a slot in the command center and took over remote control over some of the ships of his own control and engaged a special implement that he had programmed into them. This was the dreaded ship to mech conversion capability that the Zardok ships normally had, but he had rigged this into his own ships. Once in mech form, energy scythes would be swung and hails of energy bullets would be unleashed upon the enemy ships along with salvoes of membrane phase and other weapons. The pirates would fight back and would not yield no matter what against this new enemy.
Will took one look at the scene unfurling and then at Rychart with a steely gaze. "I believe this group of intruders seems to wish to conquer us. Or wipe us out. Either way, all hands on deck." When Will would say those words his voice would resound throughout the entire base and all his pirates would drop what they were doing, rush around, grab weapons and rush to him.
-
Outside the station but not in a ship, both Aislin and Erath's eyebrows arose as they blinked at what was going on. The two friends had lost their ship, their crew, and their whole race in the last couple of years, and such they had been stranded on this base since. Whoever said Gryphons were loyal? Obviously not anymore. Not since Talon had become leader, anyways.
Aislin uncurled her wings as she sighed and awaited yet another battle to go by. This was all Erath's fault. If they hadn't have become pirates in the first place, their race wouldn't have abandoned them and they wouldn't have been stranded at the Pirate base.
Of course, at the same time, Erath was thinking the same thing as Aislin, she just hid it better. "First we get stranded now we're attacked. What's next?" Erath's catlike ears perked up as she grinned at Aisline who promptly turned her head and ignored her friend.
(Pirates for hire!)

Matter-Energy Rejection fields of the Xuna II and the Froa destroyed any and all attacks on the two super-capitals within firing range. The Xuna's Nagants and Zunals used fold-warp to dodge around and out of the way of attacks, firing on all the vessels that had showed themselves. Two nagants were lost in the initial fight, their crew folded out. Their cannon funnels put under command of other nagants, the funnels were bombarding any ships in the system, and destroying Zadok joints.
The Xuna II and the Froa fired their MDD, this weapon would destroy the whole of the asteroid field quite quickly. You see, if these were planets it would just damage them, but since its a bunch of asteroids nothing would escape the MDD's wrath. Even ships should be heavily damaged from this weapon. The two super-capitals also fired their Zero-point phasers, on everything attacking them directly.
The La Plas was not in direct fire. However, its FTL Frigate slugs were being fired at priorties targets in the system. In this case the ships that had made themselves known.
The captain of the Xuna II received a report, that their sensors indicted two individual life-signs that were not moving to acting the battle. So, he fold-warped them into a conference room. Thinking them to be spies of authorities of some type.
1/2 posts til MDD wipes all asteroids.
-
The Corvic shipsquicklyresponded by pulling up the energy and particle shields that were based in the various asteroid based, sending uplarge shields over he base asteroid and the space that seperated the enemy ships from theirs. In due course, the super capitols and capitol ships leant strength to the shield systems as Lady Corvis herself appeared behind Jarrik, calm, grim and utterly furious beneath her icy demeanor.
-
The MDD field went through the shields. It was merely a field, and it permeated the asteroid field.
Still 1/2 posts til belt destruction.
-
Ooc- it has to be 3 days since the last person posted. We're waiting for hiro.
-
OOC: I was responding specfically to Antonio, and did not move the counter. Still waiting on everyone else to post. The only time I'll post specifically to a single person is when they do something that just won't work
-
Ooc- gotcha. I was mistaken. Sorry.
-
OOC:Either way, though, since when do Fields permeate through Shields? I mean, the purpose of a Shield is to keep things out, physical or energy or whatever otherwise, and a Field itself is still a field of something, after all...>>
"They ain' fooling around, are they? Most fleets up an' run when our combined fleets come our to play and don't have the numbers to match...Either they're a bunch've dumbasses or they got somethin' real unfriendly hooked up to that junk over there." Jarrek said, looking around the group. "What would you all say is a good plan of action?"
The Wolf Pack frigates suffered few losses, due to their manic speed. As they darted around in their dogfights, a few more ships came out, these being the Wolf-Class Frigates. Heavily armored, even for a Frigate, these would serve as the guard vessels for the Capital Ships and the base itself. Their weapons weren't anything to scoff at either, but they would mostly be there to hold the line, in any case, alongside the allied vessels.
-
"No they arent..." Rychart agreed. "I say that we continue to keep their frigates busy. We carpet the Capitals with our fighters and corvettes, and then we let the Cruisers finish them off." Rychart pointed at several locations on the field's map. "The Clubbed to Death will standby at Staging point Tango. Once their shields go down, we'll fire our Pulse Canoons, and take out their engines. After that, we storm the ship." Rychart concluded.
Outside, the Zealot ships continued to back up the wolf pack ships. Their battlemages set up a barrier about half way out to the enemy ships, which would stop that part from being destroyed. The Zealot's overshields would take the damage from their fire.
Back inside that station, the Clubbed to Death prepared for launch, and awaited Rychart.
-
OOC: Shields do not prevent AM fields, so I see no reason for this field to be different. one prevents existence from being converted, one prevents ionic bonding. If anything, the shields would go boom two extending the range of the MDD. The main reason this weapon is working so well is the number of ships and the fact its a asteroid belt, each asteroid blown to bits makes the field go further.
2/2 posts til asteroid field destruction
A few of the uninhabited asteroids disintegrated into a explosion of formless dust, the field was not traveling in a strait line nor was it abated by the magic fields. The MDD's field expanded itself in a near unabated as if it were an out of control wild fire. The field would hit hard all enemy frigate, corvettes and damaged any class above that. All non-inhabited asteroids were a complete loss, and any stations or bases would be at very least severely damaged.
The Zealot overshields were to the MDD their biggest weakness, unprotected from it, they would be heavily damaged if not out right destroyed. The fleet was blockaded by the frigates. The nagants kept to cat and mouse maneuvers designed to keep their opponent distracted but without a direct shot. The Zunals would fire their zero-point phasers and fold completely other target, so far causing massive amount of fire on the enemy without a single Zunal loss, these Zunals would sow massive confusion in the ranks of the enemy ships.
The Xuna II and the Froa kept a safe distance from the fighting, yet just close enough to rain hell of their numerous zero-point phasers and MDD field generators on the enemy fleet, any direct attack would be lost to the Mater-Energy Rejection fields, passing over them harmlessly. Fresh for combat these fields would remain up for a goodly amount of time to come.
The Las Plas II was bombarding the location Clubbed to Death with its Frigate FTL Slug cannon. This weapon fired frigate sized round into the target at speed way beyond the speed of light, this left no time for warning, no time for anything truly powerful enough to stop the round, and would cause at very least crippling damage to anything it hit. The Clubbed to Death chances for survival are at best slim.
The enemy fleet made a fatal mistake, in their rush to engage the frigates and try to get at the capitals. They never noticed of forgot the Nagant autonomous cannon funnels. These were both numerous and subtle, better yet, deadly. They surrounded the ships headed for the Xuna II and the Froa, and would stop them dead in their tracks bombarded from all directions.
The Auudi II and the Puma arrived, sent to the system the very moment communications was cut. They took position next to the Las Plas II. The Puma deploying its fleet of frigate via fold. The frigates took a position of defense for the three Super Capitals that held the rear line well away from the fight. The Auudi joined the Las Plas II in Frigate FTL Slug cannon bombardment, the Clubbed to Death's chances just decreased that much more.
-
Ooc- You're aware that the Clubbed to Death isn't in combat right? It's still in the hangar waiting for Rychart.
-
OOC: Yes, its the hangar that is bombarded. They probably don't even know what is in it.
-
OOC: Do you have any idea how large the asteroid field is? Two posts is hardly enough for you to take down an entire asteroid belt. -_-
-
OOC: Do you have any idea how large the asteroid field is? Two posts is hardly enough for you to take down an entire asteroid belt. -_-
OOC: More than enough for the MDD, its only two posts for the chance to defend, which all of you failed. Its mass and the fact its broken up into asteroids means that its range and speed is greatly increased. Goodbye Belt.
-
OOC: Care to explain what the MMD is then?
-
OOC: Care to explain what the MMD is then?
OOC: Already PMed Red. RP or wait for some else to RP. OOC in IC is both annoying and a bit pointless.

The barrier that the mages had set up blocked the slugs from hitting the station. The Zealot ships continued to engage the enemy at a ferocious pace.
Back on the station, Rychart is still observing the battle, and frowns. "Didnt think that id have to do this..." he mumbles. "Vice Admiral Rychart to the Clubbed. How copy?"
"Sir, this is the Clubbed to Death! They're attempting to fire on the hangar!" They call back.
"Captain, activate the beacon..." he order.
"Yes sir." came the Captain's response. The Captain walked over to a command console and pushed the emergency ISAF beacon. It would alert the nearest ISAF assets (or anything that would pick up its signal).

Immediately behind the attacking ships, were one of the DAIS' combined fleets. Immediately after seeing the enemy, they proceeded to prioritize the targets, and open fire with anti-ship batteries for the smaller ships, and FTL Pulse and Guass rounds for the larger ones.
Rychart looks out in amazement of the newly arrived fleet. "That is not an ISAF Fleet..." he says with a slight sense of horror in his voice.
-
OOC: Stopping frigate sized round moving FTL with NPC magic barriers? Actually, if you want to go that route. Three day rule on everyone but Lyoko.
The mages on the Froa ripped holes in the barriers, it allowed the rounds to hit. Only one of the thirteen FTL slug were stopped by the barriers, the rest hit hanger. However, even then had they stopped them it wouldn't have helped much. the MDD had damaged the hanger to the point it couldn't launch a fly, much less a ship like the Clubbed to Death. It was dead in the water.
The DIAS fleet came in behind the first formation, the second formation however, was still well away from the battle. Thus, it hit the DIAS fleet hard from behind trap them in a swarm of frigates and cannon funnels. Speaking of cannon funnels, not a single enemy had tried to engage the cannon funnels. The Zealot fleet was still stopped in its tracks by the sheer field of cannon funnels that barraged them, the Zealot fleet would at very least sustain heavy losses for this mistake.
The wolf packs were routed, and not a single Wolf-class survived its dog-fights with Zunals. The Corvis bases would be dust to the MDD, and not a sole survivor of Will Atlas' ships survived the MDD. The Wayword Fleet had skillfully wiped out a majority of the fleet leaving only damaged Zealots and the DIAS fleet, and both were pinned in a barraged of death.
A number of Nagants were lost, their cannon funnels put under the command of surviving Nagants, and yet still not a single Zunal was lost. The enemy couldn't engage an opponent the first once and disappeared to attack someone else.
Aislin and Erath would find themselves on one of the Wayword ships, a conference room.
Two powerful magics appeared in the system, one in the DIAS fleet and one at the Hangar. A Web of blood fire hit the DIAS fleet, from the inside of the ship, it burned away at the haul of the ships, and would like at its controllers. It would also burn the structure into a strange metallic fire. The odd part, was that there is spirit energy encapsulating the spells.
The second hit the hangar, and it was a strange living fire the burned as if with a life of its own, the fire generated metallic fire like the other spell as it hit metal of the station, however if it burned at biological people or animals, it caused a rapid growth in the fire. This strange new fire... was Bio-Fire.
The state of affairs, many lost ships, the asteroid field 99% gone, a pinned DIAS fleet, pinned Zealots, and magic of no known source hitting the enemy with impunity.
OOC: Red, Zak, and Hawks fleets are lost
-
The Lady Raven, knowing defeat was at hand, teleported away, to a secret location on the far side of the universe to ponder revenge - until she realized her good friend Jarrik was unable to do the same so she promptly teleported back, took him by the hand and duo teleported away.
-
Will Atlas would quickly teleport away with the pirates loyal to him once the AT Field around the area had been dropped. This had been a monumental loss and would take some fixing if they were to remedy this problem. But he had teleported to a pocket dimension and put his crew there. Once they were safely stowed away he reappeared inside the base and groaned. Time to wipe out all these enemies at once. So he concentrated and a massive portal opened and out of it came a huge laser that more than likely would overwhelm the shields of the Marid and blow them and their vehicles to kingdom come. It caused him to slump to one knee due to sheer exhaustion from using such a powerful attack however.
-
Will Atlas made a grave mistake, he had teleported back into the fray without realizing where he teleported was already over came with Bio-Fire. He would have very little chance of escaping an inferno that he appeared right in the cusp of. Also, his men had turned off the AT. However they did not have time to turn off the AP, and AST along with AHS. No portal could be, he had wasted a large amount of magic on nothing. Foolish indeed. Because even if his "lazer" had hit, the smaller ships could dodge it, and the Super-Capitals could stand still and with their Matter-Energy rejection fields dissipate all of it.
However, should his attack still open up, a Folded field of space in front of the portal would redirect it to the DIAS fleet.
OOC: I love details.
-
When the fire tried to engulf him it would meet a layer of wards around him that would teleport it into deep space and Will Atlas would quickly bid a hasty retreat, teleporting away once more.
-
The wards were no match for the Bio-Fire, his wards themselves were burned away and as if holding on for dear life, the fire clung to his cloths unnaturally. He would bring the fire to wherever he went.
-
But Will was smart enough so he made a clone of himself and transferred his spirit into the clone and then let his original body burn with the bio-fire, before teleporting away. His cloned body happened to be near the pirates.
-
Will had not noticed a little bit of Bio-Fire on his shoulder, his new clone was burning as well.
-
The Bio Fire would be encased in a barrier by Will, now in his clone body. The bio-fire would be teleported far far away to the other side of the universe. After that, the clone would be with the pirates.
-
Rychart continues to monitor the battle in the command deck, alone. He slams on the table as his friends left, and the station started to take damage.
"Clubbed to Death, use the rift ripper, and flee at a random vector. Disable the beacon, and find the other pirate lords." Rychart orders.
"But sir, that will destroy the lower half of the station." they called back.
"Do it!" He yells.
The station itself started to tremble, and in a blinding display of light, the lower half of the station disappeared along with the Clubbed. The upper half maintained its power, and were sealing off the breached parts.
"All Cruisers, jump to a random vector. Tarlar is lost. Repeat... Fall back." he orders the rest of the fleet. The cruisers and most of the remaining frigates left as well.
After seeing that his men were gone, he promptly left as well with his head down. The DAIS ships managed to counter most of their attacks, and their shields took the rest.
<<<Asset lost... Return to base.>>>
The DAIS ship affected, ejected the part of their ship that was in the fire and left with teh rest of the fleet.
-
OOC: at this point you are apart of the Bio-Fire, not going to help you. Also confirm Lyoko all enemy ships left?
-
OOC: Null. I would not be a part of the Bio-Fire. Topic paused until OOC debate is resolved.
-
OOC: All ships left.
-
Before the fire could turn him completely into fuel Will did something he thought he would never do and put a layer around the fire. This layer of barriers would slow the fire immensely as if it was made of the coldest ice that Will could imagine. Since he had a very vivid imagination the ice-energy barrier alone should be able to counter and prevent the fire from using his new body as fuel. The fire would need to be dealt with and so if that did not work Will would try another tactic and that would be even though it would hurt teleporting off the parts of him that were on fire.
Should his method of countering the fire not work, Will had many other tricks. Realizing he had little time to stop the fire however Will would form a golem near himself that would be resistant to the Bio-Fire and unable to be burned to it. The Golem would have metal skin and a metal body but would be organic on the inside to the same degree that Will was. It was like his body, but with a metal exo-skeleton so that it would be protected against those flames. This was not all Will would do as he would pull after putting an Oxygen Independency on himself all the air from the area and let in the cold of space. The result would put out the flames regardless as they also needed oxygen which was in air to survive. Thus by that alone they would be done and the place would have less fire inside of it that could burn an organic in mere minutes. Inside the Golem, Will would teleport himself away WITHOUT ANY of the Bio-Fire on himself. Now maybe he would not have this problem to deal with.
-
The ice turned into Ice Fire the moment it touched the the Bio-Fire, and although he teleported without the Bio-fire, he brought the Ice fire with him. This fire had no need for oxygen, and burned away the biologicals in the Golem into more Bio-Fire. The metal skin burned into a Metal fire as the new Bio-Fire licked at it, and the Bio-Fire that Will just left pounced onto the Golem as if a panther in attack. Will now was encased in multiple types of fire, a the bio-fire would expose his veins, his blood would erupt into blood fire. Oxygen was needed for such a magical fire. The golem would be reduced to a mix of many kinds of fire in a mere second.
OOC: Sorry, no dice.
-
Will had one last trick, and before the fires could burn his inside he would enter into his pocket dimension but he would leave the golem and the fires behind as he had transferred his essence, all of who he was into one of his crew members inside his pocket dimension. Since the fire was connected only to his physical form, it could not stop this and would allow him to survive.
-
After multiple teleports to his pocket dimension, someone had traced him to it. The whole of his pocket dimension would explode into a web of Holy Bio-Fire. the AP and AT devices would teleport to the pocket dimension to an unknown location in it, and be switched on. Trapping them in the pocket dimension. The Holy Bio-Fire would lick and burn at everything in this pocket dimension, creating more fires and leaving little room for escape.
A fleet of Adonai classes vessels came into the Talar system. They built a Dyson Sphere in record time. It surrounded its star entirely, and had the power of a MDD field the size of the whole system, and enough Zero-Point phasers to line every eight mile of the surface of the sphere. Additionally to the weapons built was a station in the sphere for personnel and command.
-
Will Atlas and his entire crew of pirates had been wiped out. It had been a travesty unlike the pirates had ever seen before. Still life would move on and for the sole surviving member of the crew that had been on board the station but had been jetissoned in an escape pod from one of Will?s ships before it was destroyed the crew member knew what he needed to do. The Galaxy Blasters were finished and so away teleported the sole Narrikian about a teenager to go elsewhere.
-
And so it was that the Wayword Marid took the Talar for themselves.
That is how you Pirate from Pirates
-
Something strange happened... The forces that be, sensed something wrong. The son of the demented Ken Atlas, was being kept alive, although in excruciating pain. A lone figure looked down at Will, and smiled. This man was none other than Father Resulka.
"Do you accept the grace of Insana child?" He asked him. Before he could answer, he was taken to New Dementia.
-
After they were foldwarped into the conference room of the attacking ship, both Erath and Aislin looked at one another and then glanced around to their surroundings. Did they just become prisoners of war? Well that was an unexpected happening. From Pirate leaders to stragglers, and then prisoners. What ever could be next?
"Aren't you going to say anything Aislin?" Erath pushed her friends shoulder as she continued to glance around in fear, her tail flicking around frantically.
"What is there to say?" Aislin gave the area one quick look around then sighed. "Your bright idea of Piracy has caused our race to abandon us and now brought us to what appears to be imprisonment." Aislin shifted her right wing and stretched out her feathers in a fanlike motion. "All we can do is wait and see what happens."
"Hmph." Erath merely crossed her arms and stuck out her tongue at Aislin who merely rolled her eyes.
-
A normal looking humanoid walked into the room, a grave look cast on his face. This was the captain of this vessel, here were either mercenaries or prisoners. The captain took a seat at the table and sat a number of files on it, he sat in an ambassador like posture. The captain was here to give a proposal.
"Considering the recent.... retirement of your collages. We would like to off you a job. It pays well, and does not include prison time. Of coarse the choice is entirely yours. However, remember that we believe you can be of importance to us."
-
"A job?" Erath blinked and flicked her tail as she did so, "I ain't gonna work people I don't even know." Erath continued to stare at the man as if he was crazy for suggesting such a thing.
Aislin glanced curiously over but said nothing.
-
As an AM Field went up, the Captain looked over the two, "Here is what you need to know: You can work for us, get paid and have a few thaosand slaves who work for you. Or you can spend the rest or your natrual lives in our brig. Working for us will start with basic offincive recon."
The Captain pushed a button on his desk as a cat walked in the conference room. "He will be your retaining if you decide to work for us."
-
"Brig?!" While Erath looked on in shock Aislin shifted her feathers uneasily but continued to say nothing.
"Easy now!" Erath held up her hands when she had regained what little composure she had. It was her duty to talk for both her and Aislin after all. That included negotiating their way out of there. Too bad negotiation wasn't exactly Erath's skill."Can't we like buy our freedom?" Erath walked forward slightly as she trailed her hand across the table that lay before them.
The instant Erath's fingers met the wood of the table a golden glow encompassed it and in a bright flash turned it to solid gold. An innate ability of the Gryphon race that changed the very molecules of the element in a current object into the combination for gold.
"Because there's more where that came from sweety." At that Erath winked and blew a kiss to the Captain as Aislin brought her hand to her own face and smacked it.
-
The Captain chuckled, "The wood that table was made from was worth 18 times its weight in gold. You are now in our debt, mind paying back your debt by working for us?"
-
"But now you have a good anchor. One that can conduct!" Erath's expression fell as she quickly tried to talk their way out. "That's worth more than some rare wood, right?"
Aislin simply dug her forehead into her palm even further.
-
The Captain smiled sarcastically, "Nope."
-
"Well then.. we have no choice! Get back Aislin!" Erath jumped backwards and shouted as she unholstered a plasma pistol from each side of the pirate coat she had neglected to remove despite the fact they had given up piracy more than a few months ago. Erath had kept it more for the fashion, but in the case, it was convenient that she had.
Aislin jumped to the side and shielded herself with her wings while unsheathing the silver and gold long sword she kept hidden under her cloak.
Erath aimed and fired at the captain, two thin beams of plasma erupting from the barrel of the pistol.
-
The plasma hit the Captain, leaving two holes in his chest. So he did what any raational being would do. He clapped as the holes closed, "Well, that will be considered part of your resume."
The invasion fleet left in FTL, to who knows where. As the Pearl of Ice, Will, O', Wisp, and Fiona entered the system. The constuction fleet left as the Dyson Sphere was complete.
-
"Wha...?" Erath blinked as she dropped back to the ground on her feet, the pistols simply falling from her hands as she stood in shock.
Aislin on the other hand wasn't about to give up so easily as Erath and had flew behind the captain during the commotion of Erath's attack. She now held the point of the blade to his throat from behind, but said nothing.
-
The Captain smiled as if the there was no knife to his throat. It was odd to see someone completely unworried about a weapon to their fleshy throat. He just continued to smile before he pushed foreword a contract on his now golden table.
"Sign here, in blood. Unless you wish to continue playing cops and robbers with your toys. I'd advise you to explain to your friend that she is wasting her time with that chunk of metal. If you wish to retain some freedom, you will cooperate."
-
Aislin merely gave the blade a flick and cut the contract in two before it had reached the table while Erath stood shocked, only able to stare.
-
The Captain disappeared, as the room shook. something wasn't right. There was an AM, AP, AT fields up, and a MER shield bubble just went around the entire outside of the room, which was suspended in the cargo-hold. The Conference room had a feature, it wasn't really connected to anything, it was in the Cargo hold, floating via Anti-Grav. Now in an MER shield, there was no way in or out.
The Pair would then be subjugated to an MDD field, everything inside the MER shield bubble would soon lose it convent and ionic bonding. This would most likely lead to death.
The Wayword had given them an out, an option that would lead to a form of freedom. They did not negotiate without violent captives only execute them. This was their mercilessness.
-
The thing about Anti-Magic Fields? They blocked external magic from being created by breaking up the existence converted and preventing any existence converting. This did not include internal magic as the basic anti-magic technology did not have the capability to penetrate passed the skin. A fact the once commonly known race known as the Aralangs had seen and adapted to with their IAM Fields. But no one had seen hide nor hair of the race for years now, and when they had been around they very rarely had shared such technology, having been known to keep most of their technology to themselves.
Now, both Aislin and Erath had no idea of such a thing, nor did they even know what an AM Field was passed the basics. That it was a field, that it was technology, and that it disabled their magic and was used by many empires. They had come across them in their pirate days, and faced them in battle at times. But the mechanics were something you would find very few Sages to know.
Despite this, however, their internal magic was not weak. Gryphon's may not have possessed the rapid healing of the Phoenix Sages, or the immunity of other Sage races, but this didn't make them weak. They were a strong, sturdy race and their magic was not to be belittled. No magic was. In situations of survival, for most magic users, their magic had a mind of its own. Where Aislin and Erath's knowledge of anti-magic technology failed, their magic picked up to protect them in their ignorance.
When the effects of the MDD field would start to pull apart their very molecular structure, their internal magic would commit itself to the opposite and exert a more powerful pull on keeping them together. This would result in an internal battle which in the end would only be reliable on who's source of power was greater. On one hand, Sages lived magic, they breathed it, they were one with it and could possess quite a large quantity before they would drain out. But on the other hand, due to the effects of the AM-Field on their external magic, a Sage would be unable to convert more existence to magic for when they did eventually start to run out. Which limited them to what they had internally.
In then end, it came down to this. Two Gryphon Sages of extraordinary talent in magic or a piece of technology which required external resources to function or run properly?
Erath was the first to give in, due to the reaction of the internal magic fighting the MDD field, the both of them were feeling nauseated, a tightness within themselves, and a slight pain rippling through them. For Erath this was too much, she was one of impulse, of action without thinking. But when it came to actual danger and damage, she could only take so much. Falling to her knees, Erath cluched her sides and gasped for breath.
While at the same time, Aislin was the more stubborn and strong willed. She felt the pain and the overbearing sickness. But at the same time she could feel her magic doing it's hardest. If they were to be killed, so be it. She had so far failed her people, followed the wrong path, and for it, been abandoned by her kind. Aislin had done what she did not want to do, and that was to follow in Tremor's example and fail in being a leader to the rest of her race. Now she had been captured and given a choice to either obey or by the feel of things die. For Aislin, if her magic gave out, this would mean death.
Where she had failed her people, she would not fail the pride of her race. She was a Gryphon, a loyal, yet independent and prideful race. She would not submit to a simple threat by captors but would instead look them in the eye and hold out for as long as she could.

(Technically it is Midnight EST and it never did say what timezone we were going off of, so if it's the most common? EST. Therefore. 3-day rule. They live.)
As their internal magic fought more violently with keeping their molecules together, it started to win and weaken the effects of the MDD field. Soon, the internal magic had built an internal shield-like barrier for the effect it was fighting which protected the two Gryphon's from the MDD field entirely. The magic had, in a way, created a field within themselves with magic. This field was focused around each and every molecule in their forms and strung together to keep them alive.
Able to stand, Erath gasped for breath as she glanced to her friend Aislin, "What in god's name was that?" However, Aislin had no answer and just shook her head with a glance to their captors. Her hand that held the sword quivered slightly as she glared ahead.
"Well, whatever it is, it's over!" Erath quickly gained composure and also looked over to the captain, "Is that all you've got?" She flicked one ear and gave her tail a quick swish with a wink from one eye, "Sages don't give up that easily. Especially a Gryphon!"
With that, Aislin smacked her face into her palm then motioned to Erath to do as as she did, which Erath nodded at.
At that, Aislin focused all the internal magic within herself and started to slowly convert her own body to energy which was absorbed and attached to her Spirit with her soul. Little by little her form began to fade to those in front of her until the only thing that remained was her Spirit, a thing that normal humans, what Aislin and Erath thought the Captain was, would not be able to see.
When Aislin had finished, Erath took that as cue to follow and did the same, but more slowly due to her lower skill in magic.

The pair was still within the MER field Bubble and the Captain was non where to be seen. The MDD while less would still put stain on their bodies. Like pushing against walls instead of pulling apart limbs. they were still thoroughly trapped.
The lines of communications between Wayword vessel had informed each other of the various events in their vast Empire, the Captain decided to Project inside the bubble with a Hologram one such event. Specifically the dissection of a young Griffin girl to the pair.

Aislin had disappeared, pulled to the Spirit realm as she was technically 'dead' being a spirit, before the video had started.
As for Erath, she gasped before her form had also completely disappeared, her Spirit being the only thing that remained within the room, invisible to ones that could not see Spirits.

The captain chuckles slightly disappointed.
