Title: Empire of Lore
Post by: Ragnar the Red on January 20, 2012, 08:56:13 PM
Empire Name: The Guild of Life
Primary Race: Undefined- any race is open (Lifebringer)
Empire Description: Billions upon Billions of years ago there was a Guild of magicians called the guild of life. They were one of the greatest society magicianry of the time. They were a force that kept peace in the universe, and were undefeated fighters. The only time they came close to being destroyed was the invasion of the Deathwalkers, but it was thanks to them that they were put down. No enemy could destroy the Guild. No enemy, but what lay inside. Corruption and greed brought them down. The Guild fell, but their magic remained for millions of years to come, but there was no guild. One warrior with no training is far less effective than a large society.
Additional Information: Thousands of years before that, one powerful magical being came from another dimension and created the guild. Some don't believe it true, but it is.

Also, they used rune magic, which I will go into at a later date (unless it already exists)

Um... it can't be said that they were the best magicians of that time as that's left to opinion and there very well could have been more powerful mage at the time.. What universe?

This one. Pre sage era.

There are some sages that have been around since Perfect first died. That'd be impossible. So it'd be left to interpretation. You CAN'T say they were the greatest.

Magic originated outside this dimension, the first case of magic coming to this dimension was the Suvian. Perhaps they were from another dimension and migrated over during "The Great War" between Suvian and other major tech empires before the Sage Three arrived? Also Hik's right you can say they were "among the top elite" but not that they were the best.

They're Dethwalker era. This is inconceivably long ago.

Is it just me or are we seriously having problems with people marking their stuff "long long ago," "billions of years ago," "before so and so," etc? I mean the Aralangs are billions and billions of years old. Apparently his Deathwalkers are old. The Sages are old. Other races are old... Yet to preserve lore they still can't be as old as before or during the Perfect... so umm.. how the hell is this working? We're seriously screwing up our timelines here...

They can be old. They can't be Perfect old or older than Sages as I just said a lot of them date post Perfect era. The Great War was much much much later when magic first got to this dimension...

And if they're long time old in the Mortal dimension... I have a problem with
Quote
They were a force that kept peace in the universe, and were undefeated fighters.

Because isn't that what the Aralangs and Guardians did? We can't have two... and we can't exactly ask Gaser if Nik's group helped or not...

Very rough outline of events, not too long. Most of the information is accurate though some is not, should be enough to give you an idea though.

Okay, not sure whe I'll be able to read the whole thing, but I read part I.

How long did was there peace after the imperfect were created?

..They can't be that old. We're not allowing anything from when the Perfect and Imperfect were still around, that way no one abuses the power that was around then.

Okay, this is an attempt of me simplifying the timeline.

1 Perfects live perfectly
2 Perfects create imperfects
3 Imperfects rebel and Completion is created
4 Completion survives war
5 Embodiments pop up and Completion creates incompletes (1st angels) to serve him
6 Completion ripped in 1/2 (Eli and Koty)
7 Eli creates races but Koty who loves to destroy plauges them with his ideals
8 Koty gets mad and kills them

Okay, this is to long. I'm just going to put this on my ipod and read it over several months time and come back later.

1-4 are right, but then...

5. Complete rips self in half, thus making Koty and Eli, the Incomplete.
6. Creation of dimensional plane, and the races inside it.
7. Start of the Harbinger (war between Eli and Koty)
8. Koty exiled from the North, begins to plague races with the ideas of destruction.

Because our timeline is toooo long. Lol. Think that's bad Nik? MOST of that was RPd from the OK back in 06 to now.

Yeah, I'm guessing the first 5 or so sections are the major past in the timeline and the other million are backstory.

No, 99% of it is major. The first four are just the far origins of relative plot content, that is to say, everything before the Perfect/Imperfect war is not currently relevant to the plot (though it probably will be relevant later on, just not this season). The first four kind of are what set the chain of events in motion leading to everything else.
