Title: Haul together!
Post by: UnStellar on January 28, 2012, 07:12:26 PM
The ship shell that formed around the Biosphere was almost completed. Angelo Zelini looked on it from the the observation deck of his luxury corvette. Upon the ships completion, it would be joined with the Biosphere that was actually Pleasure Planet. Vendors were already being contacted to open new branches on the ship, and he expected they'd jump at the opportunity. It was like stealing money. True, he'd invested hundreds of millions into the ship, and there was risk involved, but with his connections, word would spread quickly.

Zelini finished off his glass of wine and ordered his driver to return to the Zarethian colony they were staying at.

Galactic, Inc. had spent a great deal of money nearly a decade before into the space station known as False Heaven, so when it collapsed, needless to say, the company was not the happiest. They had a number of clubs there, the biggest of which had been "Ozone". The club was known to have possessed some certain quality which made it attractive, perhaps just the fact that it was owned by a major company such as the Galactic, Inc.

So it was with great pride that Galactic, Inc. was now, after much lobbying with Zelini, opening up Ozone 2 on the planet.

The club was already being constructed to Galactic , Inc.'s exact standards in the biosphere, which had been completed on Tefillin's surface. Galactic, Inc. would find numerous competitors on Pleasure Planet, several other clubs were being opened. The largest of course being Club Starlight, Zelini's own ambitious club which would be built directly under the transparent dome, and it's sister, the Dead Space Club also owned by him. Also, the famous entrepreneur Mr. Grant was opening the Fallen Sky Club, which he claimed would "Redefine what it means to be a nightclub, pioneering a new era of entertainment venue." Other contenders included the Razor-12 club run by Pheonix Navid, whose previous 11 clubs had thrived unexpectedly with fringe audiences, the Keeping it Classy 2 club, run by Damien Beck, which was phenomenally popular with both older crowd and younger, hip audiences, and the Gunner Club owned by Mr. Veritas G himself.

An addition, Galactic would be contending with the sleuth of other shops and novelty experience venues (such as the Space Jump tours), Casinos, and other such businesses catering toward a new crowd. But there would be plenty to go around. Pleasure Planet's maiden voyage had every proposed hotel room packed with the special VIP package (offered only to wealthy target audiences), meaning over 25,000 wealthy adventurous people would be wandering the Biosphere every night, NOT including those who would land their own ships on Pleasure Planet for brief stays. It was going to be one hell of a venture for everyone involved.
