Title: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 03:36:54 PM
As part of his role Celso was required to play the kind emperor and help out with the situation as best he could which generally meant damage control. The DAIS could not be allowed to get wind of their scheme and neither could the Anrufe and so he had decided on the exact course of action. In a mansion but not his own that had not yet been sold preparations for the banquet had been completed. Ornate tables and chairs had been set up with cuisine from many empires.  The place was well stocked with food and what not and the mansion would be loaned to the members of the Anrufe after the discussion Celso intended to have with them. The Banquet was now ready and so he sent a call to the messenger to go get them.

Delta, adn Red Zero arrived at the mansion after cleaning up a little bit. "Calculations remain the same, Red. You still want to do it?"

I've got a lot to say to you. Yeah, I've got a lot to say.

Red Zero was looking cute in her white dress, her arms linked with Delta's as the two stood just outside the mansion, staring at the wide, open doors from which a particular light was shining through. It was late, probably near midnight here, and Red Zero could hear the laughters of the party going on inside. She loved parties. And if this was a trap, it would make it all the more fun.

I noticed your eyes are always glued to me. Keeping them here, and it makes no sense at all.

She glanced over at Delta with a seductive smile, shaking her head, answering his question, before playfully tugging him along with her towards the large doors of the mansion. She had always said that she wanted to someday retire from the work of the Anrufe to a lovely house. Somewhere where the weather was hot, preferably. She was, after all, a fire sage. She had spent time and time again practicing it's delights.

"Let's go!" she insisted.

Celso would watch as his dinner guests would enter.  "Greetings esteemed guests. I trust the room at the club was to your liking? Well now you have your new quarters here after the banquet, this entire mansion is yours for however long you stay on the planet." At that several of the party goers would stop partying in the place and look respectfully at the new owners of the mansion.  It was rare for Celso to be so generous and yet he had a reason for it. "So Red Zero, AI Delta..I have heard un-becoming rumors about the Anrufe to be exact that they have listening stations throughout the Mortal Dimension. Is this true or is this not?" Plenty of different dishes were on the table from various empires using different recipes.

"Thats classified information." He informs Celso. "I really hope that I didn't give up a night of privacy with my partner just to talk business." His eyes narrow.

They taped over your mouth, scribbled out the truth with their lies. You little spies.

Red Zero hated it when Delta got into his "business" mood. She hated seeing the aggressive side of him, the side which would not hesitate to wipe out an entire race of people. She had always resented the Anrufe, and yet, it was all she knew, so she kept on, acting on it's motives. Her time with Delta outside the Anrufe meant putting the harsh reality of death away for awhile. However; it seemed it could not be avoided here.

"That's quite alright, Delta," she insisted, her voice cold as she glared at Celso and boldly said, "Yes, we do have various listening posts throughout the dimension. I'm sure you're well aware of our ships that have been in orbit of your planet for the last few weeks."

She grabbed a Fried Perickian, somewhat like a french fry using a crop from Zaned, and bit into it, savoring its taste. She then grabbed a glass of wine and gulped it down entirely. She didn't even check to see if it was poisoned, she really didn't care at this point. As she chugged down the alcoholic beverage, she politely winked at Delta before... Grabbing Celso's hand and dragging him onto the dance floor.

Crush, crush, crush.

"Let's dance!" she insisted as the song began. She began to dance next to Celso, very close to him, laughing with the emperor.

When AI Delta said it was classified information Celso took that to mean a yes. So he would order a team of scouts to be readied and search for their listening stations and smash/bash/obliterate those stations as best they possibly could. Going over to the table Celso would uncork a vial of the finest wine the Narrikians had and this wine would taste better than those puny watered down versions from earth but also would have some rejuvenating properties.  When Red Zero would pull him to the dance floor Celso would dance along with her. So it was true the Anrufe had listening posts. This night was turning out to be more profitable than he had hoped.  After tonight he would have to order the destruction of those listening posts. But for now he would let himself sway in tune with the music and just revel in not being in his office and being around a lovely lady even though she was on the wrong side. The wine was not poisoned in the slightest, Celso never poisoned wine or food and viewed that as the tactic of a coward.

"So Red Zero, any changes you want the interior decorators to make on this place? Since it will be your home and Delta?s while you are here."

Dancing with the rhythmic music a new song would play in the back ground.  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYgTxkGHU4s)

Delta watched the two dance with distain. He sat down at a table and admired the crystal chess set in front of him. A few people approached him, thinking that he wanted a challenger, but most met swift defeat in little more than 2 moves. Every once in a few minutes he would glance over to Red.

OOC: Alright.

Red Zero quite enjoyed dancing, and even now, here she was, gladly dancing with the enemy, just for the sake of dancing. Sure, she could dance with Delta -- earlier had proven just that. Delta was a very remarkable dancer. Yet, there was something about dancing with a complete stranger that turned Red Zero on. She loved dancing -- it was the merging of two energies, clashing in harmony to music. Who better to dance with than the person who wanted her dead?

She looked over briefly at Delta and saw his jealous stares. At one point, careful to make sure Celso could not see her, she mouthed, "Trust me."

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYgTxkGHU4s is the song)

Drums began to beat and lyrics began to play as Celso continued to dance with Red Zero. But he would suddenly look at one of the musicians and wink. The song would turn bolder and more pumped than it had been. Time for some excitement. Why not? He wasn't getting any younger that much was certain. And since Celso had no kids of his own well Lucien would have to take over. So might as well live life to the fullest. With that, he danced and let himself go dancing in the music and closing his eyes as he did so for a moment but then opening them once more.

"So Red Zero. You need any modifications made to your mansion? Also be fair warned. Those probes of yours are going down namely any of them in this system. Not as an act of war but there are some things you Anrufe shouldn't be privy to information wise."

As the two engaged in a slower dance, Red Zero was careful to follow the lead of the emperor. He wasn't as good of a dancer as Delta, that was for sure, but that didn't mean that he wasn't a good dancer. He was an emperor, after all. He was vivid in his steps, and she had no trouble following him. Of course, she loved excitement too, and was certainly okay when the music's tempo sped up and they broke back into fast dancing.

Celso continued to question her about how she wanted to decorate the mansion, but she did not really listen. She had other things on her mind, after all, like completing her mission. While this had started off as a friendly date with Delta, she did have her orders to accomplish while she was on the planet. She put her hand to Celso's lips, seductively, and whispered softly, "Shh."

She could see Delta, behind Celso, sitting down at a chess table. He was watching her as she leaned in close to the emperor and her lips met his. Softly, at first, and then she put more passion into it, her tongue slipping softly into the emperor's mouth.

Delta nodded and turned away. Red Zero was quite possibly the only person that Delta trusted. He proceeded to focus on the line of men wanting to play him. He would occasionally talk philosopher with anyone who could lasted more than 4 moves against him.

When Red Zero put her hand on his lips and asked him to be quiet, Celso did indeed become silent and when her lips connected with his Celso reciprocated the kiss and did not fight it. It was not a bad kiss and Red Zero was not a bad kisser. Too bad she was on the wrong side. This did not stop Celso from enjoying the kiss and just savoring the moment. Eyes closed when her lips softly touched his at first. As the passion increased lines of red formed on Celso's cheeks as his body began to relax in the moment. The kiss to him was smooth and sweet. Each muscle of his body began to relax due to the kiss just not seeming to be harmful. His guard began to drop somewhat around Red Zero.

As Red Zero broke away from the kiss, she whispered in Celso's ear, ever so softly, "Is there somewhere a little more private we can go?"

Delta knew what she was up to, and it didn't bother him the slightest. Even if she needed to go THAT far, he found solice in the fact that he had wrecked that for the next 24 hours. He smiled with amusement.

When the kiss abruptly halted Celso had to admit it was a good one. But Red Zero whispered and Celso looked at the crowds of people there. It would not be wise as it would compromise his standing as an emperor and so he shook his head and said telepathically to her. ?Yes there is a place?but your AI friend could not accompany us there. The area has defenses to block any sort of tech from working there on planet a sort of quiet study I made.  A quiet place to meditate on the planet away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities-

"Shut up and take us there," Red Zero replied softly as she once more wrapped her arms around his head, her lips crashing upon his own.

When the kiss happened this time, Celso would once more close his eyes and teleport himself and Red Zero since she was touching him to his quiet mountain retreat. But he would leave Delta behind and also raise an AT field the moment they got to the location. His mountain retreat was plenty warm as he used an artificial sun generator to warm the place. Or rather, he had learned to create artificial suns and used those to supply more warmth and heat to this place than would be normal. The kiss was enjoyable despite the teleportation. At least Red Zero was a good kisser.

In place of the two, on the dance floor, a mark in black ink appeared.

One of the people in the mansion would form a barrier around the mark in black ink and a portal beneath it and cause the portal to force the barrier that contained the ink mark thing down the hatch and to a secure lab where the thing would be analyzed and ran through computer scanners. Teams of gifted would also be analyzing the item and seeing what the heck it was and how it had arrived.

Anything that the seal touched would find itself being absorbed. The seal was resilient. It was the kind that Red Zero's grandfather, Zere, was gifted in -- the kind that he typically manipulated.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 07:16:28 PM
So rather than touch the seal, the mages isolated the seal in the air via pushing gravity below it out of existence so it lifted to a certain point in the air and then forming a barrier that surrounded it, a sphere of energy that did not touch it but contained it. The barrier had AT, AP and AST properties. A portal to the sun owuld be opened and the seal would be shot into the sun. Problem solved.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Admiral Regis Hermitage on January 29, 2012, 07:25:02 PM
"I wouldn't do that..." the mage would hear the voice of Delta as he punched him with enough force to knock any grown man out.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 07:26:26 PM
The seal almost seemed alive, as it started to attack the barrier containing it, in an attempt to break through it.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 07:29:26 PM
But it was not one mage doing this but the efforts of seven strewn throughout the crowd. When the seal attacked the barrier, the barrier adapted and attacked the seal. The barrier seemed to analyze the seal and began to produce a counter energy of sorts to the seal and try to infect the seal with the counter. The others also concentrated and the portal remained open. Now, the barrier would be sent into the sun. And then the portal would be closed and the barrier removed sending the seal into the sun where it would be incinerated.

The seal had served its purpose. The crowd had been so busy dealing with it that they didn't even notice that, having been there all along, towards the back, signature extremely well cloaked and under non-Anrufe robes which hid his face, was Zere. He walked past Delta briefly, whispering in his ears, "We've got work to do," before walking outside the mansion into the night.

But some had noticed, specifically ones who had been watching from cameras. A van outside, white and unmarked would turn on and send a secure coded transmission about the presence of Zere on this world. The Defcon level would be paused, and attempts to reach Celso via tech would be made.

"I hope you're treating my granddaughter well," he warned Delta, his voice unusually serious as the psychotic maniac's eyes stared in the distance. A red ball of energy appeared in his hand, red lightning surging around his arm as he started to walk towards the gates of the mansion.

Outside hidden in the darkness of the night and generally invisible clad in a plain black tunic and black jeans with combat boots was Zane. A mask of pure black also adorned his face and he had further made himself invisible via chameleon technique that he had learned. Now all he had to do was follow. So he also placed displacement to displace sound and visual of where he was.

Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Admiral Regis Hermitage on January 29, 2012, 07:51:24 PM
"Yes, sir." he looks back directly at Zane. "I've got something... We've got a visitor." He outstretches his arm and directs light onto him.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 07:58:15 PM
"Yes, I sensed his magic signature," Zere replied as he turned towards Zane. "Well then... Aren't you going to come out and play?"

A wicked laugh spread across his face as he outstretched his hand towards Zane, his fingers pointing down, his long nails unnatural, his hand rotting with dead skin. He lifted the other hand, the one still with a red ball of energy lit on it, lightning running across the arm. He then moved both arms to be outstretched to his sides, took a good position, and began to sprint in a mad dash towards Zane.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 09:09:37 PM
But when he started the mad-dash Zane would simply push a button and he would be beamed to another location on the planet, away from the mad men.
Title: Re: Banquet

Delta laughed along with Zere. "Cowards!" He shouts. "What now, Sir?"
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 09:50:09 PM
Zere stopped, a look of anger on his face... He had wanted that one, but now, he couldn't get what he wanted. He sighed, reminding himself that there were plenty of others left. It was going to be a long night. Zere couldn't waste his energy chasing one guy. He turned back to his subordinate, a wicked smile on his face, before motioning to the city before them.

"Burn everything," he replied, as he started walking -- outside the mansion gates and down a city street, his explosive seals appearing on various buildings, causing destruction.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 09:52:33 PM
When they started to burn everything, an AM, AT, AP, AST, and AOW field would rise above them and cancel out those abilities. Tanks would drive up and begin firing plasma rounds as dozens of salvoes of lasers would also be fired. Civilians would be herded to safety and taken off planet by means of specially made devices. Beaming would be used to evacuate all the civilians to dozens of frigates kept in a pocket dimension for just this purpose. With the civilians gone the military did not need to worry about hurting anyone they did not want to. So twin bombs would be dropped near the position of AI Delta and Zere. Without their abilities neither would survive the bombs that had been dropped as these were enhanced nukes. Before the bombs could be dropped the soldiers and tanks would also be beamed up.

Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Admiral Regis Hermitage on January 29, 2012, 10:00:51 PM
Delta transformed his hologram around Zere, shielding him from the bombs and the tanks. These wouldn't affect delta in the first place, so he was fine as well. "Bitch move..." He said to the sky.

"Shall i invite my friends to the party?"
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 10:10:15 PM
An AMR field (Anrufe version of AAM) had also been deployed around the area, causing the AM generators to overload. They were going critical and would soon explode. Zere easily deactivated the bombs by sealing their thermal energy. His seals activated once more with his magic restored, and he again began his campaign. He smiled at Delta, nodding his head.

"Bring them in," he ordered, watching as buildings in the area went up in flames.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 10:12:34 PM
One of the soldiers on board the ships noticed that the bombs were not working and so a small hole in the AM was made, and an electromagnetic pulse bomb would be fired through it but the generators were shielded. Sadly nothing else was and everything was on a closed network so Delta could not find his way into any tech to hide in. And another nuke would be dropped this time near Zere directly as they had used a muramasa beam to open a Hyper Space window inside of the barrier Delta was using. The bomb had Am, AT, AP, AST and AOW properties. If it went off, it was curtains for Zere. The fields were redoubled in strength by the capital ships and the hole in the AM field would dissipate as well. But when Zere stopped that, Celso had a new plan. In case Delta should invite his friends to the party, Celso well he had a few friends of his own and so sent a distress signal as well to the Zarethian and to the K Empire. Both of their fleets should be able to handle the friends Delta was talking about bringing.   If not there was plan b and plan c which involved taking over or finding a world to call their home base.

"Heck with this."

With that Celso inserted and twisted his key after which an automated voice asked him for the password he had programmed in. Celso would vocally say the password and the security system around the button would disarm. Half a planet was preferable to it falling to the DAIS. If need be they could harvest meteors and stuff and use it to rebuild the planet. The bombs which had been situated in the planet would begin to detonate. Soon Setus would be no more but Celso knew he could biovac on a Zarethian world or something until such time as a planet could be found that could be suitable to the purposes of the Neo Narrikian Empire. So all the ships withdrew after he twisted the key all the way and pushed the button causing the entire planet and the ones on the planet still Delta and Zere to die in a horrible fiery explosion of death.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 10:19:20 PM
Because of the AMR fields which were preventing the AM Fields from working, the attacks had no real effect. In fact, by further trying to use AM fields, the Narrakians were overloading their generators more. This caused mass explosions of their generators. The Electromagnetic Pulse and nuke all found themselves meeting Zere's seals, stopping them from doing any damage. But the bombs in the planet...

That would be a problem.

The moment Zere detected thermal activity underground, he drew upon the power of those very bombs. He absorbed it, absorbed the heat. Instead of blowing up the planet, the bombs would fuel the planet. Zere was absorbing their kinetic energy, his hands set on the ground of the planet, pulsing green, like they were the planet's heartbeat. Zere could feel himself getting stronger as he absorbed the heat which had enough power to destroy an entire planet.

...But just what was he going to do with such massive amounts of power?
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: Zero on January 29, 2012, 10:21:44 PM
But all of the ships had withdrawn and Setus was abandoned. Celso pushed one last button on his ship and all the structures on the planet which he had placed dozens of bombs under would all go up in smoke and all the technology on Setus would be irrevocably destroyed. It would not be that big of a set-back but now the Neo Narrikian Empire would be down a home for a while.
Title: Re: Banquet
Post by: K2 on January 29, 2012, 10:25:29 PM
But the bombs meant to destroy the buildings and technology did not have any effect either, Zere absorbed the hear from those too. He seemed to be going crazy with power there on the ground now, his laughter like that of a maniac, his entire body pulsating green. Something was changing within him... Something that had not happened in years. The last time this had happened had been at the Excel Tournament... All that power... So. Much. Power.

He began to scream as he stood, his arms outstretched as he finished absorbing the energy. His magic signature seemed much higher than usual, his entire body seemed to be radiating. He glanced at a building nearby, pointed at it, and a green burst of energy left his finger, hitting the building, destroying it. He felt so alive. It was time to use this power. He grinned, nodding his head at Delta.

"Good job, soldier."

And then, he was gone, off to cause destruction somewhere else.

Delta was off as well.."Look out Ol' Delta's back!" Echoed through the planet as he departed to his fleet.
