A familiar voice rang in the hallway, singing that old song the same way. No matter how many times you heard her sing it, you never really got tired of it.
I'm a mean, mean, son of gun... Dishes clanked and water rang, and the laughs of a group of teens echoed down the room like bubbles, lingering in giggles before they subsided completely. The water stopped running, and someone took in a deep sigh, soaking in and savoring the voices of the young. The voice started humming intently as the sounds of washing dishes redoubled.
"Serina! Get your lazy butt in here and help me clean up!"

Serina, eight years older but looking pretty much the same as before, smiled from her curled up position on the couch. She brushed her rose hair out of her eyes and stretched before tossing off the blanket and wandering into the kitchen as silently as her voice.

Not hearing her come in, Sierra turns her head and shouts,
"Serina! Get in here!" Right in Serina's face. Her face flushes a little bit, and she laughs nervously.

Serina recoils a bit but then cocks her head to the side, smiling slightly and letting out her "Yes?" whistle.
