Victoria walked along the streets of this 'planet', looking around for a nice, deserted, dark alleyway. As she walked, she nervously looked to the sky. Decades of living die-hard nocturnal gives one a vague idea of what Nighttime should entail, after all, and the night of this station was simply very...Different. She finally found one, her catlike eyes now scanning the surrounding area for any prey for her to sink her elongated fangs into. She needed to feed, after all, like it or not.
-
The party never stopped on pleasure planet. With no concept of day or night, sleep cycles pretty much came here to die. The alley was behind a small casino, and two dealers were taking a smoke break.
-
She sighed, as she walked towards them. She hated feeding, though this was probably the safest place for a Fledgling to developed without the power of a sun to burn them. But there was a problem...There seemed to be two of them...Normally she could just hypnotize her victim and feed unnoticed, but with the other one there, they might get help. She'd need...A distraction, for one of them. Or, maybe...
When she got to them, she asked,"Excuse me, I have a question?" And gazed into the eyes of one of them as a faint, purple fog drifted from her eyes to the one's she was looking into. Essentially, she was attempting to use her hypnotic magic upon him, and should she success, he'd find his thoughts get cloudier and cloudier, her own voice more persuasive, until he'd be utterly incapable of free thought. Of course, Victoria wasn't going to go that far...She just wanted him to stop his friend from getting away. Simple plan, really.
-
"Yeah, what's-" The card dealer stopped dead, mouth open as he gazed into her eyes. He snapped it shut, and tried to shake it off, like he was drifting into sleep, but failed, and drew deeper into the gaze. Like a struggling pray, he jerked back one more time, but was then totally taken in. He dropped his cigarette on to the ground. At first his friend chuckled, but then immediately noticed something was amiss.
"Looey?"
-
"Would you please restrain your friend, Looey?" She asked, as if asking the time of day. She wondered how she was going to explain it to the poor person she was about to bite...Hopefully he wouldn't mind immortality, but she figured he would, especially with its...Cost. She mentally gave a exasperated sigh. No way he's gonna forgive me, even though I have to in order to live...Not only is he gonna be turned into a Vampire, but his friendship with Looey's probably not gonna survive too well...
She wished Church was there. She always felt miserable when she had to feed, but at least he'd made it a little more bearable. She silently wondered what was happening with him right now...Well, knowing him, he probably wasn't in much trouble.
-
Looey began to shamble towards his friends, but his body was still resisting. His friend, thoroughly spooked, pulled a plasma pistol from a concealed holster, and aimed it at Victoria.
"Who the hell are you?"
-
She gave a sad smile for a few seconds, but dropped it, and somewhat quietly responded with,"A vampire, dying from thirst. I can't let myself die...I'm sorry." Even as she said these words, though, she just barely moved out the aim of his gun, as if she still had reservations on this whole 'living' thing.
-
"Fuck you! You're not taking my friend, I don't care how hungry you are!" He handled the pistol like a trained pro, and fired several accurate shots at her.
-
A barrier of shadow erupted from the ground, much more violently than she'd probably meant for it to be, in order to block the plasma shots. She bit her lip, knowing at the force that she'd used way too much of her already diminished amount of blood. "You misunderstand...I never meant to take either of you away...And I wasn't going to bite him, either. Thats why I needed him to restrain you...Most of the time, they always...Run away. Heh...I guess I cant really blame 'em...I'd run away from a monster, too." She saw her own vision slightly beginning to blur, a clear sign of blood loss, meaning she'd need to speed things along if she could. "Looey, would you please hurry up? You've both every reason to hate me for this...But I promise...I wont kill either of you. I've not lost all of my humanity yet."
-
Looey was faster then his overweight friend, and his resistance was completely broken down. He sprinted over and tackled his friend to the ground, struggling to gain hold of the pistol.
-
OOC:Apologies for my lateness, thought I'd already posted this.
Victoria moved fast, getting Looey's friend and biting him in order to get at his lifeblood. Soon enough, the bloodless would probably knock him out, though not enough to kill him.
When she was done(assuming nothing came up to stop her), she scribbled down a note, telling him the general do's and dont's of his new immortality, and gave it to Moody. "Take him someplace safe, where he won't be found. Then get some rest, the charm spell should wear off from that. When he wakes up in two days, give him that note...He'll need the information on it to survive." And with that, she left, to get to a different district or something of the planet, somewhere else than here, where she'd be reminded of what she'd just had to do. She sighed...The night was still young, maybe she'd do some gambling or get a drink or something.
-
Before he completely lost his pistol, he got off a few erratic shots that injured his hypnotized friend but not Victoria. However, it was knocked from his grasp and Victoria's feeding was successful. Hypnotized, the man didn't even noticed the plasma shot to his leg. The shots attracted attention, however, and civilian sprinted away. It wasn't a heavily populated area, nor particularly busy, but people were still around a Pleasure Planet Law Enforcement Recruit (PPLER, slang term Pipler) Came sprinting toward the alley, pulse pistol drawn. He wore street clothes, but the holobadge on his coat was unmistakable.
-
Elsewhere, a man wearing a black suit, with its tie half undone, wandered the alleys. "Victoria!" he called out. "Vicky, its Church!" he called out again. He looked around at the passing police cars as he looked at his watch. Damnit he thought. Its past her feeding time....
He gritted his teeth with nervousness, and worry. "Victoria?" he calls out a little softer into an alley.
-
A big black dog stood at churches side. The dog whimpered, and with a small bark, ran to Victoria.
-
Oh god oh god nonono don't be hurt please be alright
Victoria's mind was frantic, hearing the shot go off, and seeing the person's leg, injured. She also heard the officer coming, and knew she didn't have much time. Or...much blood to use...
First, she ripped her victim's shirt, and made a tourniquet at Looey's leg. Just like the movies. Which were fiction. Still, she thought it looked like it was helping, a little, which would give her some more time. She pressed her hand to the wound itself, trying to minimize the bleeding, in part to keep him bleeding to death while she finished, but also in part so she wouldn't see more delicious, smooth, sweet...
Focus. Don't get distracted you'll loosen your grip he'll bleed to death can't let him die he doesn't deserve that stop panicking it doesn't help
She took a breath and paused, trying to ready herself, as she burned some of the little blood still in her veins(she had just fed, but it'd still be a while before she metabolized the blood) in order to close the wound, stop the bleeding, that sorta thing. About then, the officer would probably arrive.
"Help! This man's hurt, I think his friend's pistol misfired! Neither of them seem entirely conscious!" She said, trying to keep the blame away from either of them. It wasn't their fault she needed to feed...Didn't deserve for her prey to go to prison...
Then she heard Church, her friend. She thanked whatever diety there might be that they were there, a friendly face who could help. And Fluffy, too, bounding right for her!
"I'm right here, Church! This man needs help, though, please, hurry!"
-
Church snapped his head in Victoria's direction when fluffy took off. "Fluff?" he calls out running after him. "Fluff-" he stops as he hears Victoria's voice. "Oh jesus..." He immediately swiveled around the corner running towards her. He reached her and listened as she explained the situation.
His military instincts, though limited, kicked in right away. "Alright, keep pressure on the wound. I'll check to see if the bullet is in there." he orders and lifts one side of him up. He was looking for an exit wound, which would signify that the bullet had passed. He puts his finger on it and nods. His eyes frantically race from person to person as the sirens grew closer. "He'll be alright, the bullet passed through." he continued to look down at the man. "God, this is my fault."
"This wouldn't have happened if i was here... Something came up at cork, and i had to deal with it. I cant really talk about it." he said in a quick jumble of words, trying to explain his situation. He looks up to her and Fluffy. "We seriously need to go... I dont like the fuzz, and they dont like us."
-
Fluffy, who had begun applying pressure to the wound with his toungue as dogs do to wounds, looked up and whimpered. He looked to Victoria for confirmation.
-
Just then, the Pipler came around the corner, pulse pistol raised, attached flashlight illuminating them all.
"Down on the ground! Now!"
-
Suddenly!
Parody Prime popped out of a building, destroying the side of it as he did. His black body was matte black but scarred by numerous dents, dings and general energy scorching. His huge frame leapt with a disturbing amount of agility towards the Zarethian man, eyes glowing red.
"COMMUNISTS SHALL FALL LIKE ALL TYRANTS." His electronic voicebox blurted out as he attempted to pick up the Zarethian.
-
In typical sci-fi fashion, the man was picked up by his clothes, hanging awkwardly in the air. His pistol clattered harmlessly to the ground, as profanity spewed from his mouth.
"DEAR GOOD LORD GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MADNESS!" He shrieked, reaching for his radio.
"SHIT FUCK BACKUP NEED BACKUP NOW GIANT ROBOT OH MY GOD." He screamed. After a pause, he got a reply.
"PPLER Hendrix, please repeat?"
"BACK UP. NOW." He cried helplessly
-
Parody righted the man and brought him to eye level. Glowing red optical sensors glared into his organic meatsacks, useless and hardly efficient. Parody's white 'mouth' voice synthasizer glew when he spoke the single word that was his standard issue greeting to anyone he didn't know.
"Communist?"
-
"Who? Me? Oh! No no no! I'm a registered Zemocrat, I swear!" He begged, eyes locked on those terrifying red spheres...
-
Parody's optics scanned over the man again and then, without turning away from this possible communist spy he asked his commander of her opinion.
"Commander?" He asked shortly. It was by her hand this man would live or die. He was simply her sword and her shield when he could be.
-
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUF!" said Fluffy as he (or she, I honestly can't remember) began licking Parody's feet.
-
"Not a Communist! He's not a communist!" Victoria shrieked, almost forgetting about Looey's wound. She still made sure to stop the bleeding, at the least though, before getting up. Very good thing Church was there, she didn't have to worry about shrapnel while healing him up, which was always a plus. "Please, Parody, let him go. But first, let me get a good look at him. I have...A few things I'd like to talk with him about, face-to-face."
-
Parody looked down at his commander and then back at the apparently not-so-communist-spy-afterall. He glared at him with his photoceptors and took his two fore 'fingers' from his free hand apparatus and pointed at him. "Remember: Uncle Sam is always watching." Before putting him back down on the ground.
-
Church only shakes his head at Prime. "Prime, directive from high command of the US Army. You are to patrol the parameter to ensure no, um, communists find us. Acknowledge directive." He called to Prime and turned to Victoria.
"So, what are we going to do about him?" He asked with a semi-sadistic grin.
-
Parody immediately leapt to attention, causing the ground to quake as his enormous feet slammed against one another. He pulled himself into attention.
"AFFIRMATIVE, SIR. NO COMMUNISTS WILL LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY." He said before promptly mrching off.
-
"WOOF!" said fluffy, running off to follow the jolly iron giant.
