Empire Name:Lotharian Scientific Academy Government (Academy for short)
Primary Race:Human
Empire Description:
The Academy is a planetary government located on a small planet in a system that is out of the way of most of the other empires. It's homeworld has been untouched by other civilizations for over the course of millions of years, though they are well aware that they are not alone. The people on Lothar (The Academy's homeworld) are all humans, but they are very peaceful. Most members of the Academy do not have any ability with magic, but there are a few rare cases.
The Academy itself is a group that is based around scientific discovery and has little military force. Most of it's military is made up of locale security for its cities and because of that has few ships. The Academy also has a special strike team that is recognized as one of the best in known space as the Blitz. Though the Blitz doesn't really have to do much other than take out terrorist threats from Lothar itself.
Most work taken on by the Academy is for the good of their society, though they could be willing to trade with those who have something to offer. They completely neutral, and they will not take sides.
Additional Information:
(Creator Note: I've decided to create the Academy because there are no friendly groups on SP that you can go to in order to trade with. So my hopes for this empire is that it can remain neutral to everyone in order to give some kind of trading option. I will try to come up with technology or something that is trade worthy for them as much as possible under the idea that I'm not going to flood the site with technology.)

Approved.

Oi, no friendly groups? As long as you dont attack the Mechera, they're usually pretty friendly, raga fraga...An' so are the Elementals...*grumble grumble* :P
In any case, however, approved.
-
Yeah but most groups are all about expanding too. I have this one's ideals set to where they can stay put and be a pretty good trading partner. They maybe other friendlies, but last I knew there were only major empires that sought expansion in one way or another.
-
No, not really. Out of nine, only the Mechera are really expansionists, and they only go after unoccupied planets if at all(they currently have two territories), and the Elemental don't even have the technology for space travel. XD

Fine :P

This was ultimately False heaven's purpose other than Faote's storyline, but you saw how well that turned out. Good luck keeping it alive!

I have a problem with this. Not that it can't happen. But let's see... we can assume most of this dimension has been explored so far. Every galaxy, every universe. While a new dimension or maybe universe is not hard to see being alone. But a system? Inside a galaxy in this dimension? Look at the current empires and the empires of the past throughout our time skips. Do you HONESTLY think they would have left any system well enough alone? I don't think so.
Your race WOULD have been discovered, and WOULD have been in the plot if they had been around as long as you said they were in a system in one of our galaxies. I don't care if they're a race of peaceful monks or tree hugging hippies. Looking at SP and the current affair of things? They wouldn't have been left alone or untouched.
-
I disagree Hikaru, there are thousands of star systems, not all have necessarily been discovered, and even if they have, not all have resulted in any notable probing. Several empires could have gone unnoticed due to their sheer unimportance.
-
NOT if they were just a bunch of humans. Look at the current empires on the board. The way people act in take overs? They wouldn't have lefta peaceful neutral place alone. When people request things as "untouched," they either need a very good reason people left them alone or a reason they weren't noticed. Just "Unnoticed," leaves a lot of plot holes to the current timeline of things.
-
Eh, I think this is a very, very minuscule detail. Just because something exists in the dimension doesn't mean it's been attacked. There's entire galaxies in the plot consiered "Bandit Galaxies" and from what I understand the vast majority only have settled a few galaxies, and while they may have explored many more, I think the idea that every single planet in the dimension has been attacked is absurd.
-
Logan needs to answer it though K2, not you. It's his empire let him defend what its reason for being untouched is.
-
I disagree, because the question really shouldn't affect the approval of this request. I'm defending him because I don't want to see his request go to waste because you wanted to ask questions about how it went unnoticed.
-
I must say, I agree with K2. I've never heard of all of the galaxies having been explored already. If anything, that'd mean that a lot of planers would've been impossible. Take Violet, until recently it had only like Unstellar's three or four Mahzheek(spelling?) living on the entire planet. If everywhere was already explored and all that, well, that world would've logically been taken over before it was made simply because it was habitable. Usually I just consider new territories as the ones that, once added to the board, CAN be discovered(assuming they aren't requested as already discovered). Elsewise neutral unowned, habitable worlds are impossible, which...Really, they aren't.
-
That'd be fine if it was just thousands of years. But he's saying millions of years? Definitely would have been discovered by now.
-
Not really... This plane is VAST. I dont even think we'd discover it all even in a billion years Hik. Its extremely possible to remain undiscovered for all that time.
