Title: Trope it good

Well, I have had this idea for a while. But there is this index on Tvtropes.org

I was thinking as a community effort make a SP TVtropes page and put it under that index and maybe other roleplayer would find us there and join.

Thaaaaats...Actually a fairly cool idea. I've actually kinda imagined how a few articles of Shattered on TV Tropes would sound. Biggest problem would be the size of the page, though.

I've troped a couple of characters. We'd definitely have to establish a long character sheet. But I think this would be sick.

If we do do this I think every RPer on SP should have creative rights to if their character goes up on the Trope page or not. This is under creative commons license.

So I don't want my characters/empires/stuff up on there or the Existence/Magic system or the existence classes system.I brought this stuff in the RP I know some of it may be cliche I'd rather not see how cliche by having tropes be set on it.

So yeah, do it for everything but my crap or anyone else who wants to opt out.

Um...Hik? Tropes aren't cliches. They're just general explanations of tools used in fiction. Like The Virus, which encompasses any form of viral hivemind-type thing, it Eagleland, which just refers to how either America sees America or how restoftheworld sees America. Or Narm, which is when something is supposed to be really really serious but due to the way its portrayed by the actor or how it sounds it has more of a comedic effect(usually, this is unintentional). But yeah, Tropes=/)= Cliches.

That's for here and if you leave. I don't see why that would count for something like Tropes that ISN'T part of the site.
Sure it's part of the story... Does that still give say... Hawk the right to go make an exact replica of SP, characters and all but RP it differently? It's part of the story, right? And he's using the STORY in his own fan version.
Or... not that this would ever happen but allow Yuki to go draw character and put them up on DA with no mention of who's they are just that they're of the story? It's being part of the story.

I don't think it' should apply to off site things.

It technically becomes whoever legally owns SP's intellectual property. In this case it would be myself and Hikaru. For a game designer I know far too much law crap

Hikaru, it's not like they're stealing our characters, it's simply listing what SP is all about.
