You guys really need to fucking shape up when it comes to calling out godmodding.
Do you realize how much fucking power it would take to teleport trillions of tons of matter a SINGLE light year. More then a level five magic user could fucking produce, and even more then a level SIX could produce. Our characters are NOT Gods, well most of them aren't. STOP FUCKING ACTING LIKE THEY ARE!
HELL!
Koty at his peak was drained after covering a planet in God Fire, and THAT was after around 5-7 posts to charge. You assholes need to fucking watch yourselves. This fucking stupid.
Especially when a level six in the template is powerful enough to create "a planet-wide storm" last I checked a planet wide storm is a hell of a lot different then moving trillions upon trillions upon trillions of tons of matter in plank-time across the galaxy. Or to a new ONE. I don't even know where he put it!
-
To which post are you referring to?

Saphire Turns to Onyx, Cap had Treena, a level five, teleport herself and since she's a planet and only a level five, Orph takes issue with it.
-
That's what IC Disputes are for, though I assume you're already discussing it there.
-
I believe the excuse was that Earth is Treena's body, so she can do it with ease enough in one post.
-
Yeah, as long as that's the case there is no problem.
Also, can we get an auto-swear-censorer in here? =P
-
5 = Exceedingly powerful magic user that poses a threat to entire armies. Can use extremely powerful spells and barriers that can defend against frigate-level gunfire. Almost always uses spells created on the spot. They can use planet-scale spells, up to spells comparable to increasing the wind speed planet wide to 100mph.
Its level five that can do planet wide storms.... also, Treena can teleport herself. If it was a normal sage or something, it would take a rather long time, and would require a chunk of posts.
However, when her body is the planet, and its just teleporting herself? No problem.
-
You don't seem to understand just how ridiculous the notion is of teleporting a planet. With Magic it's possible; in theory. But one would require so much power it's retarded. There is a hell of a difference between increasing wind speed, and moving a planet in the blink of an eye trillions of miles.

>distance teleporting matters. You may as well be side stepping. No distance is covered, you are in one spot than another. No travel needed.
Also, in thsi case, the planet in question is the magic users body, teleporting yourself is just fine.
-
I know I'm not staff and not involved, but may I offer my point of view?
You're both right and you're both wrong.
Orph, yes, it is Treena's body therefore it WOULD be easier than normal.
However, Cap, Orph is right that you are teleporting an absurdly massive amount of matter, both simple rock and the more complex compounds present in human technology and biological entities. I'd think complexity of the matter, as well as distance and the sheer amount would indeed make this cost a great deal of energy, which would limit how far, how often, and how quickly Treena can teleport herself.
IF it is still possible between these two conditions then it would be incredibly taxing upon Treena, honestly to the point where she would find it difficult to even stay conscious, nevermind continue fighting or perform more magic.
-
Exactly.

One. Treena doesn't "fight"
Two. Distance doesn't mean anything in terms of the energy cost when it comes to teleporting. Its like side-steping to your location.
Three. Both of your assume this was a magic only teleportation.
Four. Complexity or not, its still her body, and its not that hard to teleport yourself.
Five. One post for her to teleport herself, I only made it two to be nice, and to allow Orph a chance to figure out and try something about it.

If you teleport Earth doesn't that mean the moon will lose it's place in the solar system?
-
Mhm. But don't worry! The Moon is a spirit too!
-_-
-
Yes but if the moon is knocked off balance it could be the end of Luna City. Which is the last of us. People of Earth, who have not been servilely fucked over by a dumb plot. (No offense but I seriously am against the whole Spirit Earth thing.)
-
Same here. People playing planets fucks shit up.
-
Too bad we can't have a site vote to make them go dormant.
-
While I'm not a big fan of Earth becoming hippified by some hopped up dryad, it's technically your fault, Orph. Hik made Treena because you kept attacking anyone that came to Earth with Legion.
-
Perhaps this can be settled in some kind of in character treaty. I'm pretty sure the UEM wants to go to there home without being under the effects of Treena.
-
..Legion attacked any alien forces that came to Earth. Anyone born on Earth was considered fine. I don't understand how that would piss off the planet. He was practically defending it.
-
Or we can enhance a meteor with magic and send it towards Earth with some kind of Magic lock. When Earth teleports it follows clear up until it hits Earth and wipes out all life.
-
It's the fact that Earth itself is alive, and the only effective way of killing a planet would be..well blowing it the fuck up. Or a shitcockton of spirit energy.
-
Or we can have Akida really fuck up the balance. Make Treena evil...I actually like that idea.
-

*shrugs* I don't know. She made her a hippie so maybe she reasoned she wouldn't like the violent actions he performed or something.
I personally think the spirit of Earth wouldn't give a shit. Mother nature is a crazy ass bitch.
-
It wouldn't thats where I disagree with this. Even if it did exist it wouldn't care so much about the actions of our war. All it would care about is us killing the ego system. And at this point its safe to say Earth technology along with the other would be eco-friendly based on the past.
-
Oh and here is the best part. Teleporting a planet over even moving it a meter out of place will have changes to the ecosystem. And the fact that she teleported it would mean drastic changes. She would have single handed destroyed Earth's ecosystem.
I'm pretty sure since when a planet it moved a bit that it could have changes to the environment that when she teleported the whole planet she destroyed it. The change in place would have drastic effects on Earth itself. There would be a complete change in poles, the lack of sunlight would freeze and kill all plant life, and if there is a sun it will still change the plant life. Anyway we take this argument still comes up she killed Earth.

One. Treena righted the moons orbit as part of the teleportation.
Two. The whole ecosystem is in a magical and spirit stasis until the teleport is complete.
Three. Keeping the ecosystem the same falls under the same magic that allows Phoenix's to change their eye color should they chose.
So, no problem, I'll fully explain why the planet and its inhabitants are fine, when I finish the teleport with an arrival post somewhere.
-
Fine. But I want to work a deal with the UEM government and Treena. I don't like the idea of her teleporting us every time there is a problem.
-
That is a ridiculous spell Cap. She should be utterly fucking exhausted after teleporting and keeping that spell up for an entire world on a single level five user is over-stepping her limits.
-
Once again. I agree. Spirit or not she didn't just teleport the Earth. She took the moon with her. That is a lot of matter that she transported. Yet not to be weaken at all is really godmodding right there.
-
Yeah, I agreed with Cap initially, but at this point this is just way to messed up. There are so many variables to just say the entire ecosystem remained the same, not to mention I'm against the idea of Earth not being where earth should be. For example, Jupiter's gravity keeps most of the large hunks of rock from hitting Earth. I don't like it.
Also, please tell me that Earth is the only thing with a spirit, and that every planet doesn't have a spirit?
-
Elmora and Coldlands also have Spirits, but Im not the kind of guy who'd go 'lololol Planet AWAAAAAAAAAY' and teleport somewhere else 'cause, y'know, I actually know that'd kill everything. And its friggin' cheap as hell, admittedly.
(also, as far as I know, its more than possible to kill a Planetary spirit without going through the trouble of destroying it or existence magic. Sure its hard, but more than possible)
-
Then as a collective can this be overruled? I mean this really has little effect on me. Yet I don't think this is even remotely right. Cap preached to me about breaking Lore awhile back, yet this just doesn't break the Lore, it breaks the system itself.
-
Now, if he kept it to just teleporting, I would have said it would be possible but very, VERY costly. Adding in putting all life on the planet into stasis AND bringing the moon with her? Yeah, sorry Cap but that's going quite a bit overboard.

Exactly. Not to mention at the same time this effects my world as well. Last time I checked the Moon was mine. When you teleport the planet and moon you uprooted my civilization in the process. If you just teleported the planet you condemn my civilization to death.
