So am I, still waiting for this world to stop hating?
Insana stepped into the ballroom as people immediately left. With a quick look, the doors slammed shut. He sat down as a smile came to his face. He somewhat enjoyed sitting in the ballroom. It was his only time to have some sort of peace and quite. Of course, nothing made him happier than to see Skye, which had really only happened once since he started it, but the wait was well worth it... It'd been a little while since their little event, and she had ran off.
Cant find a good reason. Cant find hope to believe in.
He couldnt help but listen to the little voice in the back of his head telling him that he had scared her off by confessing his love for her. His sword sat by his side almost jumping every time Insana took a look at it. It knew that Insana was still a little pissed at him.
-
"You wait for me."
A voice rung through the ballroom as the familiar clack of Skye's shoes echoed
"I do not understand why but yet you do."
She stood in the middle of the dance floor, yet still in her dress which reflected the very state of space
"It puzzles me."
-
"Isnt that the entire point of being mad?" he asks cheerfully. He turns around and smiles as he stood up.
"All of your actions, and the reason why you do things becomes irrelevant to others. They are simply classified as random acts of your own madness." he straightens out his jacket. "What most people dont realize, is that we always have a sound reasoning for our actions." he explained.
"But, im dodging the question, of course. I do it for you Skye. No other reason." he strolled toward her.
-
"Surely you've heard the legends." Skye giggled as she took his hand "The Goddess of Space, known for her fling romances." She smiled "And of course, unfathomable destruction when scorned. I cannot understand your reasoning, yet I appreciate it. You are an enigma, Insana."
-
"What can I say... I guess I'm just different than the rest." he said playfully. "But I'm sure you've heard of my tails as well. Madgod of Insanity, known for his persistence." he said almost mimicking her own description. "And there is always the random destruction of things." he adds. "Couldn't be worse of a match, huh?" he couldn't help but to chuckle.
-
(Bump? :P)
-
"Oh Insana" Skye's eyes lowered as she brought herself closer to him, holding him she sighed "The mortals are at war, it hurts me so."
-
He wrapped his arms around her to try to comfort her. "I know it does, Skye. I know." he looks up as the magical lights shut off, leaving an eerie purple aura that emitted from the walls, which were still thriving with the force of insanity.
-
"It's just..." She wrapped her arms around Insana "I fear what I may do if the destruction continues. If the pain becomes unbearable, I may have to end it."
-
"Please dont talk like that Skye... You're a strong woman, and i know you can get through this. You're never alone as long as im here Skye." he closed his eyes. "Do you remember what i told you a while back? I told you that no matter how bad things got, I'd always be there for you. That was true 10,000 years ago, and its still true today."
-
"Space is a mantle that shouldn't have to be taken." She sighed, resting her head upon his chest "I can feel all of space, all of the death..." She looked up into his eyes "My apologies Insana. My burdens are my own."
-
He ran his hand over her hair, lightly stroking it as she rested her head. "Its quite alright Skye. Im sure i've pushed more upon you and the rest of the embodiments then you could ever push onto me. Thats what im hear for Skye. Beings that have lived as long as we have need to stick together and help each other through our trials, and triumphs."
