Title: Ararus Kal Raev'eri
Post by: Kalorph_ on April 18, 2012, 04:31:11 PM
Character Name: Ararus Kal Raev'eri
Age: 666
Gender: Male
Race: Magister
Appearance: (http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae107/Ararus/animepapernetpicture-standard-video-games-war-of-genesis-war-of-genesis-24636-melaniestar-preview-5cd6f4de.jpg)
Alliance: To the Magistcracy.
Personality: Born and bred to be the heir to the throne Ararus' personality isn't set in stone, and just like a Magister's physical form he can switch it on a dime. At one moment he can be a calm and polite diplomat, but at the drop of a hat he can easily be a ruthless military leader. Although he is generally a soft-spoken and articulate young man he has his own wild moments seeing as he is still young compared to his older and more experienced father. In battle he's been known to be a force of Destruction on his own; laying waste to entire cities and fleets as he cuts through their lines, and all of this is done with a smile.
Inventory: Blackheart AMP, and Hellion Brigade CO armor.
Combat Level:
- Magister Level: Five; although this will be set to change in the future.
- Physical Strength: Four.
Character's History: Ararus is the product of thousands of years of Magister selective breeding and genetic modification, and this has produced quite an heir. He's practically a sociopath when it comes down to what he'd do for the Magistracy, and nothing or no one will stand in his way as he tries to lead them to greatness and prosperity. Born on Valince six hundred and sixty-six years ago his birth was marked by a week long celebration as the King had yet to produce and heir.

But years later they realized Ararus was even more of a blessing as he thrust into the hellion brigade as it's commanding officer, and within three short battles he ended a war that had lasted for five years. His brutal but brilliant tactics, and his ruthless diplomacy has become a major weapon for the Magistracy and a treasure to the Magister people. He has been known to go out of his way to help the people of his empire personally, and this ranges from natural disasters to simple pirates.

Currently Ararus is acting as the military commander of the Magistracy fleet, and while this is considered a plus for the Magister people it can be considered a con for anyone they meet. While Ararus is a shrewd and talented diplomat he's not one to take threats lightly and will blast your entire planet out of the sky, and not even bat an eye as your entire civilization crumbles.

Five; although this will be set to change in the future.

Only one lvl6. So if it does change in the future, Jack's level will have to lower.

...Wait. If he doesn't even use magic why does he have a level?

By all means if the character earns it through development I see no reason why he cant grow in level

It takes thousands of years of training or some special circumstance to earn it.

Again. Why does he even have a level? Magister abilities aren't 'magic.' Orph said it himself.

Jay has a Templar level. It's so far been allowed to throw in appropriate levels.

If you read it; it says "Magister level."

If it's going by the same scale it would still take thousands of years.

They differ majorly on how they become "stronger" at what they do.

That IS NOT an exploit for you to get lvl6. It still needs to be limited just like Magic. Thousands of years.

I've had a personal plotline planned for his ascension to power and the reasoning behind it, and I've been planning for Jack to lose a level in the process. No need to get overly paranoid and accuse me of shit. It's rude.

Not to mention Magister's learn differently then Sages and their own craft is based on different principles then magic. It would not take THOUSANDS of years for a Magister to understand and discover new sources of energy, and ways to use them.

RP sample? I know its you, but Magisters are a new thing, and I'd really want to see how they're roleplayed.

Denied until I see the sample.

Exactly the reason why it takes the staff months to approve things.

I never said that there was anything wrong with the character, i just want to see a Roleplay sample like the template calls for. We set a standard, and it should be followed.

Considering three or was it two staff have already approved? Not to mention the fact the RP sample is absolutely fucking retarded for someone who's been here long enough that everyone knows how he RPs. It's for new people; not me.

Nowhere does the template say. "This is for new people." or "this is for everyone but Orph."

2 staff members are asking for a simple RP sample. You not doing it is showing us that you can't write one, and therefore cannot roleplay the character.

Well fuck it; I can flesh a small one out in two seconds.

Ararus was a blur as he and his fellow Hellions broke the sound barrier, and then continued to accelerate during their mission on Shore. They were too nimble, and too quick for anything to get a lock on them as they ravaged the planet below. Intense beams of thermal energy swept through the enemy lines as the Hellion Brigade began spread out and focus on their own personally assigned objectives. Each had been designated a target to destroy or an area to cleanse of enemy forces. Activating his AMP Ararus flew into the outer-atmosphere before his tactical VI marked his own target on his HUD; a heavily armored building was being used as a command base and an armory for the native forces. If destroyed they'd lose communications and it would eliminate the commanding officer of the forces they had currently engaged. He stopped and just floated there for a second; upside down with a smile even as the blood rushed to his head. Bending his knees and the rest of his body like he was about to jump off the ground he shot downwards at an incredible speed. A massive sonic boom heralded his take off as he accelerated, but he wasn't slowing down or stopping. It looked like he was going to intentionally crash into the enemy command center.

His armor looked like it was coated in a royal purple flame, and he easily burnt through the top layers of the armor when he made contact. His fist outstretched as he focuses his AMP's destructive energies into a few small areas. His knuckles.

A brilliant flash of purple before a blast of energy ricocheted straight back into the atmosphere; following Ararus trail upwards. A mere backlash of the force the blow had, and when he cut through all the layers of armor and hit the bottom floor; it was as if his first was a bomb, and making contact was the detonator. A gigantic sphere of energy engulfed the nearby area, and anything caught within it was reduced to atoms. When the dust finally settled there stood Ararus; his armor burnt black by the sheer power of the explosion. A crater a mile wide and a couple hundred feet deep was all that was left the command center, but they've only taken out their outlining defenses. The real battle was a thousand miles north, and in the enemies capital city. The Hellion Brigade had been ordered to cut a path through the entire enemy army, and in the process pave a road for Magister ground forces.

The enemy had lost thirteen thousand veterans soldiers in eight minutes, but the Hellion brigade hadn't lost a single soul.

If this had been a real battle you'd be godmodding. Therefore I won't approve it with this sample. The rp sample is supposed to show us how you roleplay the character, not just skill. Instead of posting a sample of that however, you instead elected to show off how much of a badass you think the character is. Which did nothing but show it as overpowered and godmodding.

And NO, I am not being unfair or attacking you with this. That whole damn sample was godmodding.

It was to show samples of the Magister in practice; it's not like I can make a fucking RP sample's attack take two posts to charge.

I'm not. Again, his post was nothing but godmodding. If that's a sample of the character than the character is obviously godmodding.

Again you forget to take into account a charge time that cannot be applied in one post without writing. "And he waited for a second charging his superpowas." It's a post that ignores charge times and doesn't give a fake NPC mind baby a chance to defend itself; who cares? You arguing stupid semantics before the actual worth of the character.

Even taking that into account Orph. Destroy ALL the enemy without even losing ONE person?  That's the part that's freakin' godmodding.
